What does this error report mean?

My MacBookPro just crashed. I'd like to figure out why and if I need to worry. Please help.

I suggest you uninstall the hardware and software associated with the following extension:
com.LivestreamProcaster.driver.LPAudioRedirector          1.0.0
Alternatively, disconnect the associated peripheral then boot into Safe Mode which will disable the extension. If you no longer get kernel panics then you need to remove this hardware and software or see if the developer has updated software compatible with your version of Snow Leopard.

It sounds like some of the Unix Executable commands were removed (or the permissions to those were modified) out of the /usr/bin/ folder.  You can try opening disk utility and repairing permissions on Macintosh HD or you can reboot your computer and holding down option-r when it comes back up to reinstall Lion again.  This will not delete your personal information or applications you have installed but it would be best to back it up to Time Machine before you do.  The article on how to do this is here. (http://www.apple.com/macosx/recovery/)  I have had to do this before and it works like a charm.  It should fix your issue but grab a cup of coffee because its going to take about 35 - 40 minutes depending on how fast your computer is.

Often it suggests issues with device filters in your registry. But it's probably best to check the situation more closely.

  • What does this error message mean: "Filename: Mips32.ari TFTP Error: 'File not found' in AP-105"?

Question: What does this error message mean: "Filename: Mips32.ari TFTP Error: ‘File not found’ in AP-105"?
Product and Software: This article applies to AP-105.
The root cause of this error is that the AP cannot perform a code upgrade.
    Scenario 1
    Check the ArubaOS code.
The minimum requirement to bring up an AP-105 is ArubaOS 3.3.3+ or ArubaOS 3.4.1+.
If the controller is running pre 3.3.3 code, upgrade the code to fix the issue.
    Scenario 2
If the AP is not connected to the controller directly, bring up the AP in the controller and then connect it to the desired location. This process loads mips32.ari to the AP so that the AP can upgrade the code.
    Scenario 3
The AP has no power adapter and you want to use the PoE feature. A few controller series like the 200 and 3000 Series do not support PoE. In this case, the AP cannot be terminated physically in the controller. Instead, connect the AP to the PoE switch, which is connected to the controller. Then assign a static IP configuration for the AP using the following commands:
    apboot> setenv ipaddr <ip address>
    apboot> setenv netmask <netmask>
apboot> setenv gatewayip <ip address of the gateway>
apboot> setenv master <ip address of the master>
apboot> setenv serverip <ip address of the TFTP server>
    apboot> setenv bootcmd tftp
    apboot> save
    apboot> boot
Locally configure the TFTP server for the AP and load the mips32.ari file from the controller with the help of the TFTP application.

I want to download this file Mips32.ari for AP-105 device. Please give me this file download link. APBoot 1.2.4.4 (build 26618)

  • What does this error message mean? (link to picture)

My MacBook has been not working very well this morning, so I did the verify disk thing and it returned the message that something was corrupt and I had to start up from the Mac OS X installation DVD and repair the disk. What does the message here mean?

OK, I'll try: it means that there's a missing directory record; that is, there's an item in the directory pointing to a record that doesn't exist. What else can I tell you? All such errors need repairing.

  • What does this error message mean? "Systemflippers"

    SystemFlippers: didn't consume all data for DLOG ID 2002 (pBase = 0x858200, p = 0x85828c, pEnd = 0x85870e)
I'm using old fashioned resources with DLOG and DITL, etc... but DLOG 2002 exists, so... I'm not sure what's up.
ETA: After re-saving the resource file n times it didn't help. Re-saving the n+1th time, made the error go away.
    MAGIC!
I'd still like to know what it was if anyone knows, for the next time it comes up.

Please point me to anything that google got that gave the answer? My google-fu is weak but not THAT weak.
Ok, so "systemflippers" is a endianness thing in, where? the compiler? run-time? resource manager? and what does the error mean? Just knowing what systemflippers does (I sort of figured it was something like that) doesn't tell me what the error means.

  • What does this error message mean? "An unexpected error occurred (error code -6584). It arises when I open my Time Capsule icon.

I had a problem when downloading iTunes 11.1 and had to clear my disc and rebuild it from Time Capsule.  Thats when I learned that Time Capsule stopped backing up back in January.  So now I keep looking to see if Time Capsule is backing up but whenever I open the Time Capsule icon i get this error message.  What does it mean and how can I fix the problem?

The backup is corrupted in some way.. you need to verify it.
The error is common enough but there seems to be a range of solutions.

    "panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7fa2b13c0c): "CoreStorage: lfs_sync: ran out of free segments\n"@/SourceCache/CoreStorage/CoreStorage-296.10/noweb/lfs.mm:2008"
I don't recall receiving that one before.
    Thanks

I got the same sort of message on my late-2013 27 iMac a couple of weeks back. The iMac is only 8 months old.
Having googled for the above, I came to this single thread about it.
No matter what I did (safe mode, recovery mode, target disk mode, single user mode, repair mode, zap NVRAM), it would keep rebooting in the middle of the mode!
It's been sent away to be repaired by an Apple Authorised Service Provider and I'm due to receive it back in a couple of days.
They had to replace the logic board and the SSD part of the Fusion drive.

  • MacBook Woke Up By Itself - What does this error message mean?

My MacBook woke itself up today. First time this has happened to me. I can see from the Console Log that it's due to a USB disconnect, but I can't see anything that's disconnected. Everything appears to be working, so I'm not sure what's up. Here's the log snippet. Can someone tell me what the error codes mean?
    6/4/10 1:18:00 PM kernel Wake reason = UHC4 EHC2
6/4/10 1:18:00 PM kernel System Wake
6/4/10 1:18:00 PM kernel Previous Sleep Cause: 5
    6/4/10 1:18:00 PM kernel USB (EHCI):Port 1 on bus 0xfa connected or disconnected: portSC(0x101803)
6/4/10 1:18:00 PM kernel An Unknown USB Device (Port 1 of Hub at 0xfa000000), may have caused a wake by being connected
6/4/10 1:18:00 PM kernel The USB device IOUSBWirelessControllerDevice (Port 1 of Hub at 0x1a000000) may have caused a wake by being disconnected
    What does Wake reason = UHC4 EHC2 mean? I can't find a meaning for UHC4 and EHC2 online.
Also, Based on the description "IOUSBWirelessControllerDevice" sounds like it would have something to do with the wifi on my MacBook, but that appears to be fine. Any ideas on what hub 0xfa is? Is that an internal USB connection? Any ideas where "Port 1 of Hub at 0x1a000000" is located?
    Thanks again

6/4/10 1:18:00 PM kernel An Unknown USB Device (Port 1 of Hub at 0xfa000000), may have caused a wake by being connected
6/4/10 1:18:00 PM kernel The USB device IOUSBWirelessControllerDevice (Port 1 of Hub at 0x1a000000) may have caused a wake by being disconnected
This is the part that matters.
Unfortunately, a number of the MacBook's internal components (keyboard, iSight, USB ports themselves) are on the same USB bus. This means if any one of these components is disturbed somehow, the machine may wake from sleep. As far as I know, there is no easy way to figure out which specific device woke the machine.
Be sure to disconnect all external devices, and try turning off Bluetooth, to see if the computer continues to wake from sleep.

  • What does this error message mean? Keynote to html to Homepage

Trying to "add page" in homepage of my Keynote 3 exported html slideshow. However, after various attempts I keep getting this error from the .Mac server
HomePage found the following issues with the HTML page you chose. Please fix these issues and try again: The "< BODY ... " tag is not closed properly with a matching ">".
Is this a known issue? What does it mean? Can I go into the code window and fix it? If yes, how?
    Thank you,
    -todd

OK, I'll try: it means that there's a missing directory record; that is, there's an item in the directory pointing to a record that doesn't exist. What else can I tell you? All such errors need repairing.

  • What does this error code mean?  Help!!! First post.

New guy here. My wifes computer starting making strange repetitive hard drive noises several days ago. A few frozen screens and now will not boot. The computer is a Powerbook G4 15in. I ran the hardware test several times and got no error code. I even ran the extended test twice with no luck. Finally I got an error code of 2 STF/4/3:ATA-100ata-6-Master. I ran again and got 2STF/3/3:ATA-100ata-6-Master. Last time got 2STF/1/4:ATA-100ata-6-Master. What does it all mean? Thank you for any help. My wife is a teacher and needs her computer every day.

Hi, Dan - Welcome to Apple Discussions.
A 2/STF... error indicates the imminent failure of the hard drive. If possible, you should connect your wife's computer to another FireWire equipped Mac and attempt to boot it into target disk mode in order to retrieve what personal data you can.
If the machine is still under warranty, contact AppleCare (800.275.2273), inform them of the error messages you're getting, and arrange for them to replace the drive.
    Good luck!
