What happens when a Stored procedure shared by two jobs and get called at same time ?

Hi All,
Not sure its the right way to do it , I wrote a MASTER SP which calls three different SP using variables passed to MASTER SP.
MASTER SP calls the three SP using EXECUTE IMMEDIATE COMMAND, My question imagine two jobs (Job1) and (Job2) running same time and calling MASTER SP but passing different varaibles what happens here does Job2 wait for Job1 to complete or does SQL Server
or any database engine clever enough to create two copies of MASTER SP to exeucte the varaibles passed by Job1 and Job2 so it can run in parallel.
Thanks

Now one of the ipods has stolen, icloud found it and located it. trouble is now every e-mail is sent to all devices and i cant think of a way to keep track of the stolen one without deleting account. i need to get this ipod back as it was bought for someone special and wants it back. dont want to claim from home insurance. Also they were all set up with same apple account. I can face time the ipod but does it ring on all?
    thanx

    I have phoned the police, they were very helpful and sent one police car to address of where the stolen one is suppose to be and anouthe police to my home address in the hope that when we send messages through icloud that the police can hear it. unfortunatly i dont know if both ipod are ringing. every e=mail ie this one also goes to both ipods.because they are both on same icloud and apple address. how can i still keep track on stolen ipod and change icloud id on the replacement.

  • HT204266 What happens to games after you purchase from app store and get a new computer

    If I wanted to purchase a few games from the App store rather then on disk(example Roller Coaster Tycoon 3), what would happen if my computer ever crashed,or if I a new computer?Could I still have full access to my games by installing from logging in to the app store?

    As long as you log into the store with the same id and the app remains in the Mac App Store then you will be able to re-download it - it will show in the Purchases tab in the store for re-downloading.

  • What happened when multiple audio players start at the same time?

    Hi,everyone!
    I am developing a game, using JMF to play sound.
    These sound are stored in mp3 files.
    In order to decode mp3 files, I installed JMF and mp3-plugin( jmf-2_1_1e-windows-i586.exe , javamp3-1_0.exe).
    In the Game, a background music play back repeatly.When EndOfMediaEvent happened, I setMediaTime(new Time(0)) and then start().It works well.
    There are several sound-effects,may start at any time,
    so 2 or more sounds may play back at the same time,
    and then Strange things happened.
    Those sound-effects, usually short, can not play back inextenso.
    They lose some beginning part, the length of the part is not constant.
    i.e. Audio should start at MediaTime 0, but now they start at MediaTime x, x >= 0,
    not only that, sometimes, Audio process bar runs, but no sound heared.
    I do not know what is happening.
    So please help me, thanks a lot.
    The way that I use Players:
    initialize:
    create realized players from mp3 files
    prefetch them
    finalize:
    deallocate not null players
    then close them
    using:
    player.setMediaTime(new Time(0))
    then player.start()
    My Environment:
    Windows XP, java 1.4.10, JMF2.1.1, MP3-plugin1.0

    This is very strange, difficult to guess the cause... never had such an issue. Normally when the object to which the audio is attached disappears the audio stops. So in your case going to a next slide should stop the audio of the previous slide. Same with object audio.
    Do you have the different audio clips (one per slide) in the Library? Could you try to delete the audio on the slide and drag it again from the Library to see if you have the same result? And what happens when you attach the audio clip to an object on the slide (you can create a totally transparent rectangle with no stroke that will not be visible to attach the audio).

    After PAUSE, if left untouched it will go to sleep...but should retain position. The proper procedure is to press PAUSE and then hold PAUSE down for 3 seconds which will disable the buttons...
    IF you PAUSE and then turn OFF, it will play from where it was PAUSEd.
    Another neat feature is automatic PAUSE when the earphone plug is disconnected...

  • What happens when i restore my iPhone?

    i was curious as to what happens when you plug your iphone into itunes and click restore.
    will i lose all my contacts and pictures?
    and will it make the backlight on my iphone work?

    A restore may help your iphone - it is one of the troubleshooting steps. Page 141 of the manual:
    "If you restore, the latest version of iPhone software is reinstalled, default settings are
    restored, and data stored on iPhone is deleted, including downloaded applications,
    songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. In iTunes,
    you can also restore from a backup without deleting data stored on iPhone.
    Deleted data is no longer accessible via the iPhone user interface, but is not
    permanently erased from your iPhone until it is overwritten by new data. For
    information about permanently erasing all content and settings, see “Resetting
    iPhone” on page 109. "
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPhone_UserGuide.pdf
    I gave you the link to the Apple article to determine hardware failure earlier. If those steps or a reset, restore don't work then you need to call or visit Apple for a replacement.

  • What happens when I remove my sim card? Can I put my sim back in and it will remain the same or is my data deleted?

    If I was to remove my sim from my iPhone 6 and put it into another phone to use for the night, what happens to my data on my iPhone 6?
    Will everything remain the same (e.g. photos, messages) when I put my sim card back in my iPhone?

    Nothing will happen if you remove your sim card from your iPhone 6.  The only thing that will happen is that you will not be able to use it as a phone - you will have no service.
    Nothing is stored on a sim card of an iPhone - iPhones cannot store data on a sim card - everything is stored on the phone itself, with syncing via iTunes.
    You can take the sim card out and nothing will happen to your data - it is all stored on the phone.

  • What happens when someone forwards photostream invite via email

    What happens when someone forwards photostream invite via Email.
    I would ultimately like to send directly to parents of my kid's sport team - however the manager says the distro changes alot and it would be best if I send her the invite and she forwards off.
    I'm sure there are a mix of IOS and Android users but I'd like the IOS users to benefit from having it in their iPhoto programs, and the others can opt to go to the URL provided in the invite.  Are there any issues with the manager forwarding the Photostream invite?  Any experiences to share when sharing photos taken at a game?
    Thank you in advance.

    You will need to create a Public Photo Stream since many of the parents will be on PCs. Here's how:
    With that scenario the email will look like this:
    The link at the bottom will take the user to the website.  Or you could go to the website yourself, copy its URL and incliude that in an email to the manager for forwarding on.

  • I am due to upgrade my iPhone 3 to iPhone 5. I have icloud which co-ordinates my phone and mac what happens when I get a new phone - I dont want to lose all my contacts, notes, addresses etc. Do I have to disconnect icloud and how? What happens?

    I am due to upgrade my iphone 3 to iphone 5.  I have icloud which is co-ordinating my iphone 3 and Mac Pro updating each other.  What happens when I get a new phone - I dont want to lose all my addresses, notes etc.  What is the procedure and step by step action?  The new phone arrives - then what?

    When I upgraded from the iPhone 3GS to iPhone 5, I simply did a Backup of my phone using iTunes, plugged in the new iPhone 5 into my Mac, and did a Restore of that backup to put everything back. This procedure is documented around the web. Also, the new phone will ask you for your Apple ID and when you enter it, all your iCloud info will be downloaded to the phone. It worked pretty well for me.

  • What happens when I compile a block

    Dear buddies,
    I am going to compile a script written by my manager. It starts with declare -- begin -- end --
    Just by compiling it, will I be running the block? or how does it work? I am using PL/SQL Developer
    Could someone guide me.
    Thank You!
    Nith

    P. Forstmann wrote:
    I don't know how PL/SQL Developer works but according to Oracle documentation it seems that you can only compile and run at the same time a anonymous PL/SQL block. You can compile only (or more correctly, just do a parse). E.g.
    SQL> --// basic SQL parser
    SQL> create or replace procedure SQLparse( statement varchar2 ) is
      2          cur     number;
      3  begin
      4          cur := DBMS_SQL.open_cursor;
      5          DBMS_SQL.parse(
      6                  cur,
      7                  statement,
      8                  DBMS_SQL.native
      9          );
    10          DBMS_SQL.close_cursor( cur );
    11  end;
    12  /
    Procedure created.Calling this will create a cursor in the Shared Pool. Nothing will however execute as yet. The cursor will be shareable and reusable (and should be using bind variables to improve both these). E.g.
    SQL> --// parse a cursor
    SQL> exec SQLparse( 'begin /* BLOCK */ :s := to_char(sysdate); end;' );
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL>
    SQL> --// check the shared pool for the cursor that
    SQL> --// was created
    SQL> select executions, sql_text from v$sqlarea where upper(sql_text) like 'BEGIN /* BLOCK */%';
    EXECUTIONS SQL_TEXT
             0 begin /* BLOCK */ :s := to_cha
               r(sysdate); end;
    SQL>
    SQL> --// check reusability
    SQL> var s varchar2(20)
    SQL> begin /* BLOCK */ :s := to_char(sysdate); end;
      2  /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL>
    SQL> select executions, sql_text from v$sqlarea where upper(sql_text) like 'BEGIN /* BLOCK */%';
    EXECUTIONS SQL_TEXT
             1 begin /* BLOCK */ :s := to_cha
               r(sysdate); end;
    SQL> So this works pretty much the exact same way as with ordinary SQL. A cursor is created in the shared pool. This cursor contains both the source code and compiled version. It will be reused when the same source code hits the database while the cursor exists. Etc.
    The only real difference is that instead of the cursor containing SQL code, it contains PL/SQL code. The rest is identical - and neither the SQL nor the PL/SQL (source and compiled) code for this is stored permanently in the database (as would be the case with stored procedural code).

  • What happens when you transfer contents?

    I have my desktop backed up on a MyPassport Ultra. This computer runs Windows Vista Home Premium.  I am in the process of setting up a new laptop with Windows 8.1 which I understand about this || much. What happens when you transfer the contents? I understand that you plug the MyPassport into the laptop and it should direct me how to install what has been backed up. But what will it look like on the new computer? Will the folders be in the same directories? Where will they be stored? And can someone confirm what will NOT be backed up and transferred? I was told it would be programs that I installed, such as Paint Shop Pro, etc.
    Would be very grateful for any assistance

    Well! That was so much more painless than I thought, LOL. The transfer went well and I had no problems finding the files, but I apparently have not set the rules for what to copy, right. I understand from p.46 of the manual, Backing Up Files, that you select what to copy from the drop down menu under the PC/Dropbox icon. In my case that only offers Acer  (C, Data (D, and MyPassport. I chose Acer (C, thinking it copies everything on the computer except program files. But it did not copy a specific category (?) named in this image "Working".  Can you tell me what I've done wrong so I can correct it before I lose something? It would be my luck.

  • Confusion when writing Stored Procedure...

    Iam having confusion when writing Stored Procedure.Plz solve my confusion.
    Can we write Stored Procedure using JDBC like the Code I have given.If So,what is the wrong i had made in the Code?.Iam using MySQL 5.0.27.
    If it can't be done with the code that i had written, Iam telling Some steps that I have learned,suggest, whether it is correct or not?
    Step 1:
    Create Stored Procedure in database separately.We can't create stored procedure in JDBC(Am I Right?).
    Step 2:
    After writing Stored procedure call the procedure inside JDBC using preparecall method of callable statement.
    Code:
    try
                  Class.forName(dbDriver).newInstance();
                  out.println("<b>MySQL Driver Loaded Sucessfully </b>"+"<br>");
                  connection=DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/exportproc? user=root&password=sachin");
                  statement = connection.createStatement();
                  out.println("<b>Statement Created</b>");
                  sql="create procedure exportproc(in name varchar(15),in password varchar(12))"
                          +"begin"
                          +"insert into exportproc values(name,password)"
                          +"end";
                  out.println("<b>Query assigned to sql</b>"+"<br>");
                  statement.executeUpdate("create database exportproc");
                  statement.executeUpdate("use exportproc");
                  statement.executeUpdate(sql);

    hi,
    create a stored procedure in mysql , i dont know mysql , any way we take your code
    create procedure exportproc(in name varchar(15),in password varchar(12))
                          begin
                          insert into exportproc values(name,password)
                          endprocedure created ....
    now just call in java by using CallableStatement
    ex:
           CallableStatement cs = con.prepareCall("{call exportproc(?,?)}");
             cs.setString (1, "vijay");
             cs.setString (2, "123");
             cs.executeUpdate ();

  • What happens when Hyper-V replication is paused

    Hi,
    Could someone please point me in the direction of detailed technical information regarding what happens when replication is paused for a Hyper-V VM?   I've had a dig around but not found anything..
    Does the source system still generate delta's which accumulate on disk somewhere, ready to be sent to the target once replication is resumed in a similar way to SQL log shipping, or is the whole processes paused and a new replication cycle started?
    I need to asses the impact of pausing replication on a number of VM's for an extended period (probably in the region of 4-6 hours) for maintenance on a host, where there is fairly limited replication bandwidth.
    Many thanks.

    Hi EntArch2012,
    You can pause the replication between primary and replica server .
    There will be a .HRL file beside the VHD file of the VM which enabled replica .
    After you enabled replica successfully , the changes of the VHD will be stored in the HRL file then send to the replica server regularly  to achieve synchronization .
    Hope this article is helpful :

  • What happens when an iPod is synchronized with an iTunes library that is bigger than the available space on the iPod?

    What happens when an iPod is synchronized with an iTunes library that is bigger than the available space on the iPod? I did this some time ago. On screen was shown available space somewhat less than 120 GB, but maybe somewhere between 10 and 20 GB more in the library. I had to get the iPod updated anyway, so I did proceed. However, afterwards the total content of the library was only about 110 GB. Now I wonder what did actually happen. Was the first sign only corrected for double copies of the same files or lost files or where files deleted from iTunes? And if files where deleted from iTunes, were they also deleted from my computer?

    Same as you would if you bought a pc; copy everything from your old computer to your new one.  Then you can just sync everything from the new computer, as you did with the old one.
