What is a Problem With Image Class very amizing

Question

When I am using Image Class in my program it start the new thread .
e.g Image img = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("c:/imode/top.gif");
program is not terminated .
Please give me solution on this problem .

You should be using a MediaTracker to ensure that all the resources are loaded before doing anything with them. In addition to this, it is sensible practise in any multi-threaded program to call System.exit to make sure all threads terminate.
// Begin loading the image.  Remember that this call starts a new thread.  Image loading occurs in the background so that partial rendering can be done.
Image img = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("c:/imode/top.gif);
// Track the image to completion.
MediaTracker tracker = new MediaTracker();
tracker.addImage(img, 0);
try {
    tracker.waitForAll();
} catch (InterruptedException ie) {}
// ... now do stuff with the image ...
// make sure all threads stop
System.exit(0);
