What is the use of "oracle.jbo.client.svc.ADFApplicationLifecycleListener"

Hi All,
We are currently developing some data services using ADF-BC, can someone tell me what is the use of "oracle.jbo.client.svc.ADFApplicationLifecycleListener" listener? We are using this listener in weblogic applicaion xml but no idea why its used.
Also, what is the difference between
"oracle.adf.share.weblogic.listeners.ADFApplicationLifecycleListener" and "oracle.jbo.client.svc.ADFApplicationLifecycleListener"
I tried searching a lot of documentation but none of them seem have this information.

Repeated start/stop or redeploy of an application causes memory to leak and the server has to be restarted to clean up the memory. New applications created in JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.1 will be configured with a Weblogic Application Lifecycle Listener to handle this scenario. For older applications migrated to 11.1.1.0.1, the listener will need to be manually added to the weblogic-application.xml of the application to solve this issue.

There are two types of proxies that can be generated from ABAP - the client proxy (to call an internet web service) and a server proxy (to communicate with XI). It sounds to me like you are looking for information about the client proxy, if so you can see the following link from SAP Help:

What is the use of Oracle BI Server DSN?

Hi,
I have the Admin Tool for OBIEE 11g installed as standalone installer.
While creating a new repository,I import the metadata by using ODBC DSN connection.I create a system DSN with the driver being 'Oracle in OraClient10g_home n'
I am not able to understand as to in what circumstances the ODBC DSN connection is created with the driver being 'Oracle BI Server n'.
Someone kindly let me know the use of creating a connection with the DSN 'Oracle BI Server n'.
Also once I deploy an RPD on to my BI Server,if suppose the IP Address of the data source gets changed,then how can this be accomodated.

It is used to connect to a repository through the Oracle BI Server
i.e
OBI Server can handle multiple repository but you can connect to only one at the same time by DSN Odbc Connection. Therefore, you must set up an ODBC connection for each repository.

Oracle Wallet Manager is a tool to manage internet certificates for clients and servers (databases can have certificates) issued by Certificate Authorities (e.g. Verisign). It can be used in conjunction with Oracle Net/SSL.

What is the use of Streams Pool in oracle Architechture?

I am new to oracle, Could you please explain me what is the use of streams pool in oracle Architechture?
My Understanding :- ( As far as i know it is an optional memory buffer, used in distributed environment like multiple servers hosting a database, like RAC or GRID ) Please correct me if i am wrong.
Is the Streams pool a new feature in 10g or is it since earlier versions?

What is the use of SYSAUX Tablespace in Oracle 10G

Please Tell me What is the use of SYSAUX Tablespace in Oracle 10G Because
during Web Load Testing It is going to increase countinuosly.Although i am not using this with any tables.
How Can I find out the what is gong on in this.
Can I Remove this tablesspace and other non using Schemas like FLOWS_020100,MDSYS,OUTLN,DIP and TSMSYS etc.

What is SYSAUX?
The SYSAUX tablespace provides storage of non-sys-related tables and indexes that traditionally were placed in the SYSTEM tablespace. For example, the tables and indexes that were previously owned by the system user can now be specified for a SYSAUX tablespace. Unfortunately, Oracle still places the SCOTT schema and the other demonstration schemas in the SYSTEM tablespace. Go figure.
The SYSAUX tablespace is specified with the CREATE DATABASE command. This is demonstrated in the example database creation script in Figure 1.1.

With the new SYSAUX tablespace, Oracle comes closer to providing all the needed tablespaces for a truly OFA-compliant database right out of the box. With just one CREATE DATABASE command we can specify the SYSTEM tablespace, the TEMPORARY tablespace, the AUXSYS tablespace, the default UNDO tablespace, and the redo logs.
Of course, with the Oracle Managed Files option you can create an entire database with a single command, but the database created is not suitable for production use and is not OFA-compliant.
The SYSAUX tablespace is required in all new 10g databases. Only the SYSAUX tablespace datafile location is specified. Oracle specifies the remainder of the tablespace properties including:

If a datafile is specified for the SYSTEM tablespace, then one must be specified for the SYSAUX tablespace as well. If one is not specified, then the CREATE DATABASE command will fail. The only exception is for an Oracle Managed File system.
During any update of a database to Oracle Database 10g, a SYSAUX tablespace must be created or the upgrade will fail. The SYSAUX tablespace has the same security profile as the SYSTEM tablespace. However, loss of the SYSAUX tablespace will not result in a database crash, only the functional loss of the schemas it contains.

What is the use of "Organization" and "UserGroup" in Oracle Identity Mgr

I have created an user and provisioned it with an EBS instance.
Can anyone explain what is the use of "Organization" or "User Group" in Oracle Identity Manager?
What are the basic concepts of having them?
It seems that "Organization" is simply used for categorization of Users in OIM into various orgs and sub-orgs with the aim to create a logical hierarchy of users.
Anything more?
The use of "UserGroups" i find is only for the application of Access Policies and nothing else.
Please modify/add to the concepts.

You can use Organizations to seperate groups of users and limit which resources are available to the users in that organization. You can also create administrative groups over those organizations.
Groups can contain membership rules to automatically place users into them based on attributes from their profile. You can also create access policies to apply to those groups to provision and restrict provisioning of resources. Groups can also be beneficial if you have department groups and such to be able to quickly view all the users who are part of it. Groups are also used during attestation and can be made process owners of the attestation tasks. And Groups can also be used for assignment of tasks such as approvals and provisioning tasks. Groups are also how permissions are assigned throughout OIM.
I'm sure there are many more uses, but this is a few of them.

JDev904 to 1012 migration: oracle.jbo.client.remote.ApplicationModuleImpl

Hi,
oracle.jbo.client.remote.ApplicationModuleImpl defines a method "public void commit()"
I have had a method "public MyType commit()" for all the previous releases.
This causes the following compile error:
Error(107,25): method commit() in class enatis.gen.client.BaseTmClient cannot override method commit() in class oracle.jbo.client.remote.ApplicationModuleImpl with different return type, was void
If an interface was created for the ApplicationModule, this new oracle.jbo.client.remote.ApplicationModuleImpl is automatically created causing many compile errors as it doesn't implement any secondary interfaces defined on the original interface.
I can still get around them by implementing them myself.
But....
What can i do with this duplicate definition?
Can i get rid of this class at all (Seeing that we don't use it)?

I've filed Bug# 4320726 to help support diagnose this issue in the future.
You would have gotten the same error in 9.0.4 had you ever made this application module remoteable, but since your are using it in local mode you sensibly never had done this.
What's changed in 9.0.5 and beyond is that now we always generate the remote classes instead of only on demand.
We now generate the remote classes all the time in order to be consistent and to support the ability for an AppModule to hand out the custom AM interface for nested AM's as well (which didn't work in 9.0.4).
The workaround is that you'll need to rename your commit() method to another name.

Thats not the problem. However, what is the condition you have. Typically, you should be having the condition C1 AND C2 and not C1 OR C2.
Also, provide more details like how you have implemented QB. Does your iterator hasNext returns row..?

I have implemented dependant dropdown in ADF.
My page contains two dropdowns First one is independant and values in the second one is populated depending on the value chosen in the first one.
I have used simple selecy query in my view objects and one entity object.
but while running the page i am getting the error JBO-25013: Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.key
please help me with how to debug the error.

Hi,
Basically that error means exactly what it says. The primary key of your parent VO isn't unique and too many items in the parent VO have the same primary key.
Post the sql here for your two VO's, and let us know what the primary key is.
Are you using setCurrentRowWithKeyValue as the VO method to set the current row, or are you using setCurrentRowWithKey?

Hi,
I am working on jDEV Version 11.1.1.2.0. In one of my page I am getting exception like "*Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key......*".
I have a Items EO and it's Child EO. I am using view criteria in Items VO and drag and dropped this as a Query panel (search criteria). On the right side top I am displaying results in a table. Below I have a Master form and Child table where users can add / edit the Model and it's child values. When user clicks on Save button I am calling BPELprocess (WSDL) which inserts into 3 other systems and return me the message. After Clicking the Save button and displaying the message if I search for the same model (which I created) then it will throw error like above. If I search for different Model it won't throw the error.
For example I have created "TestModel" and If I type letter "T"in Input box and search then it will throw error. If I search for some other models which are not starting with letter "T" then it works fine.
Any idea what may be the reason? Instead of calling services in the Save button I drag and dropped "Commit" button and tested then it works fine.
This is really critical for my project. It would be great if someone can help me on this.

Reason: Trying to access a ViewRow which is part of an obsolete/invalid collection. This could happen if a reference to the ViewRow is held by some business logic while the containing view object was removed.
Solution: Find the referenced ViewRow either by re-querying or using findByKey methods to get a valid reference to the ViewRow. instead of create() can you try createInsert() or createAndInitRow()
