What tools needed to complie java telephony application

Dear all,
I heve downloaded JTAPI.But I thnk it is only documentation of API.
In that downloaded JTAPI I got all .java files too.
Now my Question is : what path or classpath I would have to set so that It will give me the all the description of javax.telephony.Call or Terminal or any XYZ classes or Interface just like if U give javap java.awt.Graphics or java.applet.Applet gives U all the methods and veriable whithin it.
If U got the Question's answer or U have it then reply me at my
yahoo mail : [email protected] with subject ::::to answer to telephony question posted on Sun. by [email protected]
ANOTHER THING :::::::>if what I downloaded is not enough then what else will be needed to compile my telephony related application.
kindly forward the link to download those JTAPI that is needed to compile my applicaton
I would grately be thankful to U.
Thanks.......
Yours friend
Tapan Bhatt

  • Need help on java Telephony package

    Hello Friends,
I am involved in a telephony software development...and I want to use JTAPI for it...but Iam encountering a very basic problem...Iam having jdk1.3 installed in my PC...but whenever I import the javax.telephony.* package,I get an error 'cannot resolve symbol'...please tell me what is the solution for it...also what changes I need to make in path setting so that I can implement it...ie...which jar file I need to include in the classpath...I would like to know if any good guiding tutorial is available for it on the net...

    Hello freddyrb!
First, you need to download JTAPI from java.sun.com,
because it don't present neither in the standard jdk nor jre.
But, the JTAPI kit is only a bunch of INTERFACES so
you need some implementation, which Sun didn't (and imho shouldn't) provide.
And the problem is a lack of JTAPI implementations.
The only one i have heard of is a some fake system from alphaworks (http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/aw.nsf/FAQs/j323engine).
No of hardware providers did gladden us with a JTAPI port (at least as of fall of 2000, the last time i checked it). BTW, if someone knows of any JTAPI-enabled yet not too exotic hardware, let me know, please, serge(AT)zolshar.ru.
As for JTAPI over a modem, i heard of an implementation of JTAPI over TAPI but now the project is dead.

  • Hard drive replacement:  what is needed to reload all Adobe applications on new drive

Question:  in the olden days, we needed to deactive applications before re-loading on a new device ... what do we need to do now with the subscription plans and/or the non-subscription apps such as DW?
    Windows 7x64
    replacing primary hard drive
    Installed Adobe applications:
    Dreamweaver CS5
    Photoshop CC
    Photoshop CC 2014
    Bridge CCx64
    Lighroom 5.5
    Adobe Creative Cloud
    Adobe DNG Converter

You'll have to install from scratch, from the original media.
In the case of different versions of one and the same application, be very sure to install the older versions first.  Otherwise the installer for the older version will not work if it finds a newer version installed,
If the drive is going into the same machine, you "shouldn't" have to deactivate, but with the hapless installer team one never knows.
If necessary, you can always deactivate after the fact.
If you have Photoshop CC2014, you have no need and no use for the DNG Converter.

  • Installd Ffox 3.6.15. Redo Flash AGAIN? How can I: Tweak 2 fix plugin-container crashes/hangs10X/day,and 2) Avoid need to reinstall Java, Flash,& other media plugins(Flash, Realplayr/Quiktime Alternative, Media Player Classic)? Ffox fan

plugin-container crashes and hangs many times daily all my time eaten up by upgrading too frequently to new Ffox versions, only to find that I must then spend a whole day jumping thru hoops upgrading almost all of my add-ons too.
I now find, to my horror, that the hideous virus-magnet IE 8 is needed if I want to surf at a reasonable speed and not spend all day dealing with Ffox new versions' Known Issues. Only good thing I have seen about ver. 3.6.15 is slightly better launch-times. Since 3.6 cane out, I must spend 10 minutes just waiting for Firefox to load and give me a browser screen. Help! I love you guys, but your core browser developers need to have better comms with the Javaa/flash/Adobe and other must-have add-on people! And PLEASE fix all these "plugin-container" crashes and hangs I get, that lock my machine for 10-15 min at a time. Not everybody has 16 gigs of RAM, you know! I think the "plugin-container" running as a separate process idea might need to be COMPLETELY re-engineered! YOU CAN DO IT! LET'S GET BACK TO LEAN AND MEAN, and not bloat ourselves off our hard-won User Preference / great security pedestal with the kind of feature-creep that IS DEMOLISHING IE's slave-userbase with the hard-won advanced-user preference for Firefox
    and our core values. FAST-LEAN-SECURE.
Where have they gone? I LOVE Firefox
and all it stands for! Let's not trip
over our own features here. Already I
    see SeaMonkey and leaner, faster
browsers hot on our heels, THIN and
FAST! Firefox doesn't need to integrate
    with EVERY thru-the-browser media tool
on the planet! I've been writing code
    since 1968, and I can't imagine how a
    lesser-experienced user (that code
should be written for) could possibly
    have navigated all the side-upgrades
and Known Issues to make Firefox run as
sweetly as it used to! He'd just give
up when he finds he has to separately
find and install the EXACT 3rd-party
version that Firefox needs for its
newest release: things like a new Java
runtime environment, and hunt down and
    correctly install ALL the Flaming-Phox-
compatible buggy plugins from half the
    browser-media warezmakers on the
PLANET! He'd give up halfway thru trying to navigate to, D/L, and install
what he needs from Oracle Java, Adobe,
Flash, media players and their codecs,
etc etc.... WRITE FOR THE NOOBS! As it
is, I have invested 2 full workdays in
just keeping your last 2 quick releases
happy. And having another release spaced only 3-4 days apart from the
last- well, that just doesn't fly.
Better to release a hotfix or patch that a user can set FFox to automatically D/L and self-install on
schedule. Just look! Now you've got me
    talking like that lawbreaking swine
Gates! We want to keep on absorbing
the average-user center and take it ALL
away from him, not go on feature,
    plugin, and upgrade-bloating the best
    browser EVER!
You're facing choices that can kill
us! PLEASE DONT BLOAT! AND PLEASE ONLY
RELEASE A NEW VER WHEN YOU CAN REALLY
GET RID OF SERIOUS PROBLEMS AND MAKE
HER FASTER AND LEANER AND BETTER UNDER
THE HOOD! Already the Noobs are getting
mindlessly scared when you talk about
"fixing a Security problem"- really a
minor issue that SHOULD be taken care
of by their antimalware solution- in
the Release Notes splash screen they
get on install of a new ver! Thanks, my
friends, for all your work, and YES I
WILL sit here all day trying to find
the add-ons that need to be selected,
    downloaded, and upgraded from 10
    different 3rd-party sites who are
fighting our browser, not dancing with
it! DON'T EVEN LOOK Evil! But I have
to confess that at this point, Gates-hate is all that keeps me on
    these all-day new-release tasks. Even
my best techs are starting to advise me
to install SeaMonkey or another of the
newer, thinner browsers... or just stop
upgrading Firefox and roll it back to
when it was sharp, fast, and lean! Look
at all the users wanting to go back to
3.6.13 or earlier and looking for archives of old versions. THANKS AND
GOOD LUCK! I'LL DIE BEFORE I GIVE UP ON
    MY BELOVED FIREFOX!
    -The CRASHMAN, ATTORNEY AT LAW

Thanks! I've already used the built-in plugin checker but it gives very vague answers like (research this" and update this" all of which I did, starting with Java and Flash, Adobe Reader, Shockwave, 100% reinstall of Java newest ver. TWICE- but FFox keeps reporting that I only have the FORMER version installed, although when I go to Java console or Check the Flash executable at the MFR's site, there is NO doubt that the updates were successful!
But the browser just seems to refuse to acknowledge the update!
And I don't HAVE 6 hrs/day at the 'puter just to play with add-ons
and plugups. So I'm going down the line now, ripping out extension
programs and replacing/reinstalling/updating the plugins one by
one- even went to M$ to get advice on THEIR For-Firefox ActiveX
stuff. No dice so far. And yeah, The plugin-container WAS made so
that a plugin, add-on or I guess extension app failure wouldn't take
the whole FF browser down with it if the 3rd-party ware crashed. It's supposed to shake it off and go on, kinda like how XP sometimes
restarts Explorer (not the IE browser) so I don't have to reboot the
    whole sys.
That was the foundation of my remark about stepping back and
re-engineering the whole "Plugin-container" idea, because it seems
to do more harm than good. Maybe that's why the Firefox core
engine won't recognize my upgrades- for example I TWICE installed the Flash update to 10.2.xx (latest ) and the Flash Mfr's
site verifies my upgrade as a successful 10.2, but Firefox plugins
check say I have a 10.1, the old one. What gives here? The sneaky
    PLUGIN CONTAINER, METHINKS!
Now I'm disabling things on the Extensions Apps list, thinking
that might help, like disabling my video downloader and other
download helpers/managers... and I notice that there is a LOT of
Java stuff in there too as well as in the blue Lego Plugins List... and
in the past the FFox always told me if a new version of Ffox was
incompatible with any older 3rd-party app Extensions and notified
me QUICKLY if something I had in there was Outdated. I'm big on
using the neat-o "find updates" button at the bottom if that happens, and usually get a newer version right away. The prob
really lies in the Blue Lego Plugins and their new Container, I
    believe.
So Ill still keep Plugin-innin' away! Will post here what success I have! (OR maybe M$ is deliberately sabotaging our ActiveX-cripple
mess as it loads!) Thanks for the suggestions a37271!

  • Need help with a small application

Hi all, I please need help with a small application that I need to do for a homework assignment.
Here is what I need to do:
"Write an application that creates a frame with one button.
Every time the button is clicked, the button must be changed
    to a random color."
I already coded a part of the application, but I don't know what to do further.
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class ColourButton extends JFrame {
         JButton button = new JButton("Change Colour");

}The thing is I'm not sure what Event Listener I have to implement and use as well as how to get the button to change to a random color everytime the button is clicked.
Can anyone please help me with this.

  • What is needed for Web page applet?

    Hi,
Please excuse my ignorance, but I want to ask what is needed to see "java" web pages? I have an old handheld that uses windows ce 2.11. When I try to pull up a java web page, I get the message that "Sorry your browser does not support java".
Do I need a java runtime environment? A java virtual machine? It is a little confusing to a newbie.
Your help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, you need a java runtime environment (aka JRE aka jvm aka Java plug-in)
However I don't believe that the versions available for the "usual" 32 and 64 bit architectures will work in a CE (but I could be wrong).
This website has something to say about Java on a CE
    http://www.fmcpherson.com/knowce/where/where6.htm
There's other information available - Google 'java "windows ce"'
Sun's automated download page for their JRE's is at http://www.java.com

  • Up an running with Java. What tools to download?

Hello, I use to work with Java applications about three years ago, but had switched over to another language. Now I need to develop code using Java again. In fact, I need to reuse some of the code I developed a few years ago. The code does alot with animations. So here is my question.
"What tools do I need to get up and running with Java?"
    1. What compiler to use (recommend the best open source editor, or one that is not that expensive)?
    2. Where is the Java SDK that I need to download?
    3. Will my three year old code still be compatible with the SUN, Java code I wrote 3 years ago?
    Ralph

Actually Jwenting is right, IntelliJ is by all measures the best IDE.
I have used textpad, programmers notepad (which I still use for some things), VIM, eclipse for a number of years, intelliJ for a short time, and Netbeans since earlier this year.
textpad - Great place to learn the basics, but once the basics are down you need to find an IDE.
Programmers notepad - love it, still use it for some languages, has some features you will find nowhere else
VIM - You have your vi lovers and your vi haters, I would say I fall into the haters camp but still keep up with it because when you need an editor to make a quick change on some obscure system with very little on it, some version of Vi will undoubtedly be there. Once you get into the flow it is not bad, but there is lots of annoying things about vi and its offspring.
Eclipse - Great IDE, was the better of the free ones for a long time. For me eclipse's strength became it's albatross. That is plugins ofcourse. There are literally thousands of plugins that can make eclipse do just about anything you want. The problem is there is very little oversite so some plugins are great, some good, some ok, some suck, and some are deliberately hostile. You don't really know what you are going to get until you try it, but removing it can be a pain so sometimes you are stuck. Plus getting the plugins to play nice with each other can be a chore, the more plugins you have the harder it gets to get new ones to play nice. It was after a whole day stint trying to get eclipse to work again after picking a bad plugin that i simply decided to give netbeans 6.0 a try since it had what I wanted packaged in already.
IntelliJ - Only got to use this for a short time as they went ahead and bought it at my last job after I gave my months notice for leaving. Guess they figured it would be easier to replace me that way. From the little I got to play with it, it was extremely user friendly to the point of being a pleasure to work with, You definitely got what you paid for.
Netbeans 6.0 and higher - Netbeans pre 6.0 sucked. Even 5.5 was not as good as eclipse at the time of it's release, but was a sign they were headed in the right direction. After releasing version 4 only to have it suck and laughed at in the java community since eclipse was hundreds of times better Sun realized netbeans was making them look bad. So they decided to fix that and decided the best way to fix it was to model netbeans as closely after IntelliJ (which was the best even back then) as legally possible. With each release they get closer to realizing this goal, and since it is free with each release netbeans picks up more and more former eclipse fanbois. It is now at the point where most people following the eclipse vrs netbeans war will agree that netbeans has taken the lead and has more current users than eclipse. I would even wager that most of the people who said netbeans was best in this thread were not long ago eclipse fans. Bottom line, of the free IDEs netbeans is the better choice at this point.
But I got to ask, when you say a salary of R8,000 - R12,000 do you mean monthly income or annually? If annually can you even survive on about $1,000 in US dollars for a year? I mean I make about 8 times that in a month, after uncle sam takes his portion, and i wouldn't call myself rich by any means.
Also jwenting have you tried the newer netbeans? I think if you do you will see they are strikingly similar to IntelliJ in many ways.

  • Reg: java card application needs

    Dear experts,
i am a newbie to java card, After a lot of googling, i found JACCAL to aid java card programming development. I have downloaded and installed it but i dont know how to use it? any help will be greatly appreciated,
By the way, i need to know why do we need IDE or tools for java card programming?. Cant we complete right from typing program to till burning on card using the java card kit ? please correct me, if i am wrong.
I have tested the sample programs successfully with java card kit 2.1.2. My doubt is, What are the needs for java card application, like what CAD, card and tools should be used or purchased(most of them ,i found from the web are outdated like JCOP, OCF).
    Thanks in advance.
    SRI.

you mean by again doing right click src then New-other-java card Applet.

  • HT1338 I'm trying to download java on my Mac machine but the software update doesn't show me anything. Please advise what I should do to get the application.

I'm trying to download java on my Mac machine but the software update doesn't show me anything. Please advise what I should do to get the application.

If you can run it under chrome, you have java installed.
There was some malware that exploited an older version of Java (not javascript) running in a Browser. Since few people use it Apple turned off Java by default in the Safari Browser.
If you need it for something, just turn it back on in Safari preferences (inside Safari). After a few months of non-use, you may find it has turned itself off again.

  • Java Jar files, and what is needed to run them?

I'm sort of confused on what happens with JAR files, because on my computers that have all of the java SDK's and programs installed it works as an executable. But on my computer that doesn't have java installed(except for the windows xp basic) it wont work or registers with winRAR.
My question is, is what needs to be installed on the computer to get an executable jar file to work. Is it JRE, or the SDK? And where can I get the file/s that may be needed to be installed.
    Thanks for the help

jre stands for java runtime environment, i.e. everything you need to run a java application on your computer.
sdk stands for software development kit, i.e. everything you need to develop java applications
the jre run jar files for sure

    Hi Anurag,
I have added new Web Dynpro ABAP iView to the same page in which Web Dynpro JAVA iview was added and made ABAP iview visible.
And this page is already assigned to role.
How should I link this ABAP iview so that it get replace by the Web Dynpro JAVA iview.
And the  application name (CATDATARECORD) is correct and Web Dynpro JAVA is using the same application.
But now we want new time timesheet for that what changes needs to be done?

  • What is going on with Java? How do I disable if needed?

What is going on with Java. Should I be concerned? How do I disable Java on my Mac if needed?

Don't believe anyone who says that Macs are 100% secure and malware free. There have been several notable instances where after hearing this many people have found themselves in the midst of a Mac malware outbreak (MacDefender, DNSChanger, and Flashback, just to name a few).
These attacks have been rare, and with "many people" being around 1 percent of all Mac users, for now this has been far of an issue than on other platforms, but security issues do exist for Macs.
Whether or not this warrants the use of special security software is up to you.
My recommendation is to keep a low-key and free malware scanner on your system, such as iAntivirus, ClamXav, or Sophos Home edition that can be configured to only run on-demand, and then should you feel the need use it to run a scan of your system every now and then. You can also use a reverse firewall like Little Snitch to monitor all outbound connections, which was key for many Mac users who found evidence of the Flashback malware on their systems when that outbreak occurred (just see here for the thread where many detected the suspect behavior: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3844172).
Since malware is still quite rare on Mac systems, it is debatable as to whether or not security software is necessary, but my stance is if configured as I described then there is very minimal chance it will adversely affect the system. I've configured numerous Macs with anti-malware utilities and have not seen any problems with them, so for the most part there should be neglegable impact (if any). Keep in mind some security tools are more intrusive than others, and include a number of scanning routines that are enabled by default, so each one has its own approaches that will need to be considered. The ones I mentioned here are very light-weight.
The thing that will keep your system safest is (besides "common sense" safe computing practices) to use plugin managers and ad-blockers to prevent Java, Flash, and other plug-ins and scripts from launching automatically.

If you run into the "another installation" message even after the reboot of the PC (which is an excellent idea by HTP ProXy), reregistering your Windows Installer Service is worth a try.
First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
    At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Restart the PC and try another reinstalll.
