With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.

Is the software version 1.1.1 for 80GB classic the most current?

I have just submitted feedback to apple and they asked me what software i was currently using on my ipod classic. However the drop down menu showed that v 1.1.1 (which i have) is for the ipod VIDEO 5th gen and that for ipod CLASSIC 6th gen it is v 1.0.2. But in itunes it says that the most current version is 1.1.1 for my ipod. What's going on there cos I am having some problems with random pausing during playback, so could this be the problem?

The iPod feedback pages are out of date as far as firmware version numbers are concerned. V1.1.1 is the current firmware for Classic models.
I take it you've tried reseting the ipod. Is this problem random or does it happen at the same point every time in particular files? If the later you may be able to fix it by reripping the tracks or converting to a different format.

How can I use documents created in Pages 08 with the most current version of pages?

I just upgraded to the most current version of Pages from Pages 08. However, none of my files created with Pages 08 will open. I am told that I first need to save them with Pages 09, but I don't have Pages 09. What can I do to convert these files into a format that works with the newest Pages?

I have the same problem. There are a couple of clumsy workarounds. One is to open your file with Pages 08 and export it as a Word document, then import it into Pages 5. The second one is to open the file in Pages 08, copy the contents to the clipboard and paste it into Pages 5.

We all know 7.3.2 is out. But when I go to "iTunes--->Check for Updates" in iTunes, it says 7.3.1 is the most current version. What gives?

Also make sure that you don't move your Apple apps from their default location. If you do then the Software Updater doesn't know where to look to see what version that you currently have.
