Is it possible to integrate whatsapp in my WP8 app?

you can open the app using

but you cannot share nothing with the app.

For Microsoft, Nokia and whatsapp developers
please fix and update the current version of whatsapp for windows phone 8 devices as soon as possible
there are a lot of things need to be improved:
- screen shot images can't be sent
- long messages can't be forwarded
- profile picture of contact can't be saved
- can't customize ringtone for group or individuals
- couldn't find videos saved from whatsapp (where the videos saved??)
these are some points I have noticed. Honestly speaking the what Sapp version in Nokia n8 is much more better than my Lumia 920 !!

Here is the points highlighted:
there are a lot of things need to be improved:

The issues with sending screenshots and long messages are known bugs and we are working our best to fix them for a future update. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Saving profile picture and customizable ringtones are currently not features for WhatsApp on Windows Phone.
It is not possible to save videos or audio notes sent/received over WhatsApp to your Windows Phone media library. Unfortunately, this is a limitation of Windows Phone, so we have no way to work around this.
You can however, view your saved photos in your media library.

I am developing windows phone 8.1 silverlight app where I want to share Images,Links and text to Social Networking App Like Facebook,Twitter,Whatsapp and Instragram.
In Share content contains A Image of App Icon, A Link of App website and I invitation Text.

You cannot control what appears in the share UI. The Share UI Will show all applications that have registered to receive the type of content you are sharing. So if a particular application is not appearing, then it is not registered as a Share
target for that content type.
I would run the sample on your phone for the various content types. it should give you a good idea of which apps are registered for which content type.

Universal App: no Application Insights for Windows Phone 8.1 project

I just created an universal app and installed the Application Insights Tools for Visual Studio extension. It was easy to add AI for the Windows 8.1 project. Unfortunately there is no "Add Application Insights Telemetry to project..." command for
the Windows Phone 8.1 project. Am I missing something? What might be wrong?

Officially yes, but you should be able to get it to work:
• Add Microsoft.ApplicationInsights.WindowsPhone package to the “Phone” project.
• Add Microsoft.ApplicationInsights.WindowsStore package to the “Store” project.
• Add <InstrumentationKey/> element to the ApplicationInsights.config files in both Phone and Store projects with the actual instrumentation key of your app. You need to decide whether you want to use single key for both windows and phone apps or separate
keys.
• Create a new instance of the TelemetryContext class in the App class in the Shared project and store it in a public static variable for use by the rest of the code in the universal project.

I would really appreciate if you guys work on the feature “ custom backgrounds for chat notifications”.If users will be able to choose any image of their liking in the custom background feature if would add value. Currently some of the chat messengers provide this facility to the users which makes interesting to the users while improving user friendliness and satisfaction. Options that would include areTake a photoChoose from albumsSearch from webDeleteThat appears to be a reasonably robust selection. In search, a user can use a built in engine to pull up images based on search and then select it as it their choice. Once you chose an image, it will be asked to confirm and ‘set’ as the universal chat window for all contacts.

How do I sync my iCloud calendar with my Windows Phone?

Hello,
My personal life is filled with Apple products (iPhone, iPad, Mac.. you name it). My work life is full of Microsoft products. This means that my entire family uses iPhones but I have a Windows Phone. In an effort to simplify life and better organize family activities and obligations, I have set up a shared calendar. Since this is for family purposes and my family all use Apple products, it made sence to set it up in iCloud. The email I use for my Apple ID is my hotmail address.
On my WP, I have set up the hotmail email and the hotmail canendar syncs up without any problem. However, the iCloud caledar does not sync at all. I am able to get the calendar to sync with my outlook on my PC and iPad without any issues but neither of these devices is carried in my pocket and readilly looked at for scheduling and notifications.
Please Help!!!!

Windows phones and iCloud are not compatible I'm afraid. Try going to the iCloud website on your phone, you may be able to view it there.

How to make backward compatibility of windows phone 8.1 app for windows phone 7?

I developed windows phone 8.1 app which is in windows phone store. Now, i want to make this app compatible for windows 7 also. Is it possible, if yes then how?

It may be that you are using non-backward compatible capabilities in your Windows Phone 8.1 app(s).
Developers that want to develop for different OS's usually have platforms with the different OS's on them for developing applications so they work on each platform.
I suppose you developed for Windows phone 8.1 rather than Windows phone 7. Therefore your app runs on a different framework than a Windows phone 7 has as well as probably newer hardware with greater capabilities.
So you will probably need to purchase an older phone that came with Windows phone 7 in order to develop for. I couldn't find documentation like the last link below (App capabilities and hardware requirements for Windows Phone 8) for Windows phone 7
from Microsoft but maybe you can.

Windows Phone 8.1 introduces an important change in the Windows Phone developer ecosystem. In this release, Windows Phone converges with the Windows Store apps platform into a single developer platform that runs the same types of apps—Windows Runtime apps.
Platform convergence began in Windows Phone 8, which supports a small subset of Windows Runtime APIs, but which differs from Windows in many core areas. In Windows Phone 8.1, there’s so much more in common—a much larger API set, a similar app model
and life cycle, a shared toolset, a common UI framework—Windows Phone and Windows Store app developer platforms truly have become one, single development platform.

A wish list for Nokia's next flagship Windows Phon...

Two months left for Nokia World in september. I think everyone is excited for it. Nokia will introduce its newest flagship Windows Phone 8 "Lumia". If Nokia wanted to succed, here's a list of "to-dos" Nokia engineers should care about.
- A thin, solid design: I don't really care about how thin the phone is... But there are many people that were dissapointed with how thick and heavy the Nokia Lumia 920 was.
- A "Real" PureView camera with Zenon flash: The Lumia 920's camera is already perfect, but is it actually PureView...? you can't compare it to the 1020 or the 808... Can you?
- Snapdragon 600 processor: Windows Phone 8 doesn't really require latest - high end - processors... It just runs smoothly on every single Lumia, no matter how much it is or how low end its specs are. But the Lumia 1020 really dissapointed me. There are many 3D games coming to the store eventually.
- SD Card slot: Yes. Yes. Yes. Please.
- NO MORE CARRIER EXCLUSIVITY: Seriously Nokia? No body wants to wait for the Lumia 1028 to get it on Verizon Wireless... or the 1025 to get it on T-Mobile. And NOBODY is going to switch to At&t. Nobody. Let's have a look at the Samsung Galaxy S4. It launched on FIVE carriers. The result? More sales. Simply more sales.
- A killer battery: It's Nokia! It's well known for its amazing battery life (in the past)... Only Motorola delievers a great battery life these days. I want Nokia to get back to its roots and start as the Indestructable with the endless battery life again.

Lumia .. The Windows phone

there is nothing Bad with lumia .. I liked it ... the thing is your must provide the basic features ... Like .. you can not attach the saved file via mail .. Or not even send it on whatsapp! Even x2-01 has this feature.. Then why a 10 k phone doesn't have? I preferred Nokia for years but I don't like Nokia any more... I was about to buy Lumia 525 (if it had flash)

How to get Windows phone 7.8 update??

I've a Nokia Lumia 800. I realise there is a new update for the Nokia Lumia , Windows Phone 7.8. Yet I still have the old 7.5 version. My phone tells me that it's up to date but obviously it's not, my computer also says it's up to date. Please help, how do I get the new 7.8 update?

Once available for your device you will get a notice on the phone. Next time you connect to your PC with Zune running you will be able to update.
At this time Microsoft has halted the update process due to a found issue which needs to be fixed. No information on when the update will resume or restart is currently available but is expected to be shared as soon as Microsoft is ready with the issue.
