When I use mozilla fox a random download starts downloading but my antivirus stops it but it gets annoying how od I stop this?

I left my computer for 4 days when I came back ads started popping up like crazy and downloads were starting without me clicking anything but my antivirus would stop them. This was very annoying. I don't get what happened. I installed adblock and so far the ads have stopped. But the downloading won't stop please help me!?

It sounds like a malware problem. You will need to scan with multiple and updated tools to sort this out as no single tool is likely to catch everything.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You need to use multiple and up-to-date tools as they will not all pick up the same things.
