  • Java.util.zip.ZipException error when building

    Good Day All,
    I am a newbie and this is my first JWS deployment. I have an app that I am writing in Netbeans 6.1 that I want to deploy via JWS. The app accesses five different JAR libraries and that is where my troubles started. I thought that I needed to figure a way to configure Netbeans so the libraries would be deployed with my app JAR so it would run correctly using JWS.
    I was trying to get things working and now my problem is that when I build I am getting the following error:
    init:
    deps-jar:
    compile:
    Copy libraries to C:\Java\DataMed\dist\lib.
    To run this application from the command line without Ant, try:
    java -jar "C:\Java\DataMed\dist\DataMed.jar"
    jnlp:
    jnlp-init-generate-master:
    C:\Java\DataMed\nbproject\jnlp-impl.xml:61:  The following error occurred while executing this line:
    C:Java\DataMed\nbproject\jnlp-impl.xml:386:  java.util.zip.ZipException:  error in opening zip file
    BUILD FAILED (total time: 0seconds)Scrolling to line 386 in the jnlp-impl.xml file it says:
    componentsprop="jnlp.components">I futzed with my options so much I can't seem to figure out how to get everything reset so I can get a clean build ! As a newbie to Netbeans I sometimes have difficulty figuring out where all the different things are hidden ... I **think** it all went bad when I was working on the Properties > Libraries > Compile > Compile-time Libraries but I can't remember.
    So I have two questions really:
    1) How can I resolve the ZipException error? I suspect it is one of the JAR libraries but how can I tell ?
    2) How do I get JWS to find my five libraries ? I now suspect that I am supposed to upload the five libraries to the webserver and then in my JNLP it will have links to the libraries in the <resources> part of the code. Is that correct ?

    Rather than spend to much time figuring this out, I just used my revert modifications through my SVN to go back to a previous version that builds correctly.

    Hi,
    I have the same problem but I cannot solve it.
    Help much appreciated.

  • Get java.util.zip.ZipException when start SOA server????

    Installed SOA 11.1.1.5 on Windows 7 - all seemed to go well. Using XE, jdk_16025x64, rcu, WLS 10.3.5, SOA 11.1.1.5. After install, started the Admin server - no problem. Started the soa_server and get the following error messages when try to start it up. The same error message appears two times as the SOA_server comes up.
    How do I fix this error?

    Currently, I am working in web-dynpro java program, where I am pushing some data into R/3 using BAPI in Application-A. And this BAPI data is getting displayed in another z-Tcode and displayed in portal using web-dynpro Abap iView template, which is Application-B
    Now I want to align this application, so that Application- A should call Application-B from within the WD-Java framework. And here Application-A should get closed and open application-B.
    Is there any standard process using Web-dynpro Java to handle such scenario.
    Regards,
    Hanif

    Hi Siddharth,
    Well, I think you can go for Portal Navigation concept.
    Please check the required source code in WDR_TEST_PORTAL_NAV Web Dynpro component. That will illustrate both Page based Navigation and Object based Navigation.
    Hope that should solve your problem.

  • JNDI Context.close() throws java.util.MissingResourceException

    Our applet uses JNDI to find EJBs and I am porting from WL8.1 to WL10.5.3. Everything works well until we attempt to close the Context object, which throws the following exception:
    java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't locate bundle for class 'weblogic.jndi.JNDILogLocalizer'
         at weblogic.i18ntools.L10nLookup.getLocalizer(L10nLookup.java:429)

         at com.tcm.cfm.client.dbclient.DBEntityClient.disconnect(Unknown Source)
         at com.tcm.cfm.client.cfm.CfmDBClient.disconnect(Unknown Source)
    Seems something is missing from the classpath... but what? Info on i18n suggests it can be used to localize error messages... but I think this error is generated in WL's own code, not ours.
    Any suggestions how I can fix this?
    TIA,
    Ken

    This can happen after modifying the calendar properties and not reloading the application. Try reloading or restarting the application. This could also mean the Calendar.properties file has been moved, deleted, or become corrupted. A default properties file can be found at:
    "Tomcat-install-dir"\webapps\"your-web-application"\WEB-INF\classes\defaultPropFile\. Copy this file to: "Tomcat-install-dir"\webapps\"your-web-application"\WEB-INF\classes\. Stop and restart the web server. From a browser, run "hostname"/"your-web-application"/src/setupCalendar.jsp.

  • Static class containing scanner throws java.util.NoSuchElementException

    I use the scanner class pretty often in my coding and recently i have been trying to create a static method i can put in an external class to do the scanning for me and trap any errors.
    I seem to be able to create the class successfully but i have a slight problem in that i cannot use the method twice in the same program without having it throw a java.util.NoSuchElementException

  • Popup when closing the portal application by close browser button

    We are using the portal with BSP's and in some cases we have more browser windows open. The user get confused and want to close all windows except for the main one. Put in many occasions he closes the main browser window to and then he has to logon to the postal again and go again to the page he want to be returned.
    What we like is to have the functionality available that if the user closes the main-window he soul get a pop-up window if he really wants to close the application.
    (you can not solve this problem by building an 'onunload' in the body-tag of the index.htm, this will lead to a pop-up any time the page changes)

    Why dont you put the onUnload() function in the header of the portal?
    Would that work?

  • Iterator.next() throws java.util.ConcurrentModificationException

    Hello, I have a set and an iterator defined like this:
    HashSet<JFrame> set = new HashSet<JFrame>();
    Iterator<JFrame> iterator = set.iterator();
    Then later I add frames like this:
    set.add(jFrame);
    Then later when I try to call:
    iterator.next();
    I get ConcurrentModificationException. But I only call this next() method one time and only.
    I can call hasNext() method without a problem, but not next().
    How do I call next() without an exception??
    Mark

    create an iterator and then after this you change the collection? does this sound safe?(...)after getting the iterator, don't modify the set (with exception as per api) and expect the iterator to work.
    Well, I think you are making fun of me here. It's OK, I don't mind, but I want to disagree with your reasons.
    "Does this sound safe?" Yes, why not? The iterator could refer to the set, whatever its contents. You could add to the set and, and then remove from it by iterator.next(), and add and remove... As long as you synchronise all these things (and I do), there is no general reason why this would be a bad thing.
    But of course, the API does prohibit that explicitly, you are right. It's just that when you naturally expect certain behaviour, you don't read all of the documentation.
    And then when ConcurrentModificationException happens, this exception name does not reflect what happens, as I said, I am not concurrently modifying anything in multiple threads. So the name of the exception threw me off track and I did not think it was the order of the operations that I did wrong.
    Anyway, thank you very much for help.

  • Throw "java.util.Vector" exception?

    In my servlet, I got catch(Throwable t), t.getMessage() is java.util.Vector. Can anyone tell me where I should look into for this problem?

    probably a ClassCastException. Why don't you get the stack trace?

  • Submit a webdynpro IView from a non-Portal application

    Hi,
    i have create a WebDynpro application. This application shows in a table a list of '. This reports are IView for Bex Web Application in a SAP portal. For navigation to this BW IView the WebDynpro application must be also embedded in a WD iView.
    The problem is:
    This WD IView will be requested by a non-sap/portal application with dynamic parameters and also with the POST method.
    In the WD application i have implemented the parameter request with following code:
    int i = 1;
    String name = WDWebContextAdapter.getWebContextAdapter().getRequestParameter("var_name_" + i);
    If the non-portal application submit the WD application directly -> the parameters are available.
    But when the non-portal application submit the WD IView, then the Parameters are 'null'.
    Thank you for quick response
    Anne

    Hi,
    yes I'm use the statement to submit the iView:
    <form action="http://server:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prteventname/Navigate/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fevery_user!2fgeneral!2fdefaultDesktop!2fframeworkPages!2fframeworkpage!2fcom.sap.portal.innerpage!2fcom.sap.portal.contentarea?NavigationTarget=ROLES%3A%2F%2Fportal_content%2Fcom.kwl.kwl-01.KWL-01%2Fcom.kwl.kwl-01-iviews.KWL-01-Iviews%2Fcom.kwl.WEB_DP%2Fcom.kwl.IW_GISBW&DynamicParameter="
    method="post">
    var_name_1<input name="var_name_1" type="text" value="ZHAMFSB"><br>
    var_value_ext_1<input name="var_value_ext_1" type="text" value="129191"><br>
    var_name_2<input name="var_name_2" type="text" value="ZHAMFSB"><br>
    var_value_ext_2<input name="var_value_ext_2" type="text" value="129761">
    <input type="submit" value=" Senden ">
    In this case the DynamicParameter will be send by GET.
    But i want use the POST Method.
    I get the parameters in both cases not in my WD application.
    What is the problem?
    Thank you
    Anne

  • Portal application connecting to backend R/3 system

    Hi All,
               i am developing one portal application through NDS(Netweaver Developer Studio) that connects to backend SAP R/3 system & fetches some data in R/3 system. I started working on it & developed some code, which i want to test whether it is working fine or not.I:e- code to connect to SAP R/3, but when i run the application it doesnt give any error but also it doesnt show any output which it should display(value of output parameter of RFC). Below is the code for component, code for JSP & code for bean. Can any one tell me what is the error in this? or why i am not getting the output i desired. All the connection parameters supplied in the coding are correct. Now below i mentioned these parameters as *, bt in actual i have mentioned them correct. I checked them twice, they are fine.

    Hi Chetan,
    Connection to R/3 systems through Portal can be done in many ways. Since you have mentioned that you are using jspdynpage then its better that you use JCo for connecting to R/3 system.
    U can write the JCo code using the jspdynpage component. I hope you have pdfs related to JCO. Incase u dont have then give me you mail id. OK
    Another approach could be developing a web dynpro java application that access a r/3 table using a BAPI. You can a dynpro model to easily connect to R/3 system.
    Just develop an iview based on this web dynpro application. And finally navigate to this iview through your jspdynpage.
    I hope this helps you in some way

  • Portal application connecting backend SAP R/3 system

    Hi All,
               I am developing one portal application through NWDS. It's JSPDYNPage component.The applications functionality is basicaly is to connect it to backend SAP R/3 system & fetch some data in aparticular table & display that data in a tableview format on one JSP& also when i click any row of the tableview then details of that row should get displayed on the next JSP. So i reached till develpoing a code that connnects to Backend SAP R/3.(Basicaly coding of connection part is done). Now i need to test this code, to check whether it is fine or not? NWDS doesnt give nay error, not compile also or not runtime error also. It simply shows the output as a blank page, where it is supposed to display one line of text in textview(i coded this in my JSP).But as i said it displays a blank page. i tried to debug the application , but debugging also not worked.I performed the debugging twice in right way. The code was not debugged, it run the same way as it normally runs when debugging is off & shown the blank page. I also have done all the the settings or prerequisites for debugging properly. I am stuck at this point now.search many documents , but no relevant help has been received. Can anyonehlep me with this. i am putting below the code for JSP, JSPDYNPAGE component as well as portalapp.xml. • Portal Application using AbstractGroupwareItem

    Dear Friends,
    We need to build a portal application using the class AbstractGroupwareItem. But we are not able to understand how to go about it. From the forum we found out that some of you have already used this class and have  implemented the mailing service. Can you please guide us how to go about it.
    Hoping to receive a reply.
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Ranu

    Hi Mat,
    When creating my portal application, I had to create another DB instance to house all of the PORTAL tools becasue the vendor of the system that we use didn't want us to install portal on their oracle DB. So what I did is create a DB link in my portal DB so I can query of the vendors DB:
    create public database link <tns alias name on the remote database> connect to <username> identified by <pwd> using '<tns alias name to remort database on your machine>'
    Then when I query, I have to put:
    Select
    <columns>
    from
    <table>@<tns alias name on the remote database>
    Hope this helps,
    Martin

    Java Plug-in 1.4.0 throws an IllegalStateException: zip file closed

    A IllegalStateException is thrown when the class loader
    try to load a class from my applet JAR file.
    The applet is embedded in a JSP page which use the Plug-In 1.4.0.
    That JSP is hosted by Tomcat 4.0.1.
    The applet JAR file is signed with a self-signed certificate.
    The applet has been compiled with JDK 1.4.0.
    The jar has been put in the Plug-in cache successfully.
    Here is the stack trace I got in the Java Console ...
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: zip file closed

    I've got a very similar error, but unfortuneatly I don't have an answer yet. The only difference is that my Applet is embedded in a standard HTML page, and loaded via Apache. Once the Applet runs, it then communicates with the servlet via Tomcat. I also exchange data with another server task via CORBA.
    But everything else is the same, self-signed applet, applet compiles successfully, and jar is being put in the Plug-in Caceh successfully.
    I have narrowed the problem down a bit, and maybe you can tell me if you're in a similar situation:
    In my case, I need to encrypt the data that I'm sending through CORBA, so I create a Cipher object using Cipher.getInstance(). This method call seems to be the catalyst of my troubles. No matter where I move that call in my code, the next time the code tries to instantiate a class defined in my applet jar file after that "getInstance" call, I get the "zip file closed error." It's like the classloader is confused, because the Cipher.getInstance method would be accessing a different jar file or something. Are you trying to do something similar? Maybe not creating a Cipher, but creating some other object defined outside your own jar-file?
    To top it off, if I disable caching in the Plugin control panel, everything works fine. But that's not really an option for me, since it slows things down a lot, and I can't make all my users go into their control panels and disable caching. But at leasts it makes me confident that there's not a problem with my code.
    In my latest attempt to circumvent this problem, I even put the Cipher.getInstance() call in a static initializer. Here's the stack trace from that attempt:
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: zip file closed
    at java.util.zip.ZipFile.getEntry(Unknown Source)
    at java.util.jar.JarFile.getEntry(Unknown Source)
    at sun.plugin.cache.CachedJarFile.getEntry(Unknown Source)
    at java.util.jar.JarFile.getJarEntry(Unknown Source)
    at sun.misc.URLClassPath$JarLoader.getResource(Unknown Source)
    at sun.misc.URLClassPath.getResource(Unknown Source)
    at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)
    at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
    at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)
    at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)
    at sun.plugin.security.PluginClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(Unknown Source)
    at com.uss.wbi.client.WBIClient.<init>(WBIClient.java:404)
    at com.uss.wbi.client.WBIApplet.init(WBIApplet.java:122)
    at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
    In other words, since the getInstance method is in a static initializer, the next thing to run is the applet.init(), which is what is failing now. If I move the Cipher.getInstance method into the client constructor, the next time I instantiate a new object, I'll get the error there.
    Has anybody else seen anything like this? Or does anybody know how I can flush the Cache from the applet code? Or can I reset the ClassLoader in some way in the code?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Well, I finally came to a solution that is acceptable at least to me, if not ideal. I've started using the BouncyCastle lightweight API. This makes my code somewhat more complicated, and I had to bundle up all the BouncyCastle classes that I'm using into a jar file, and download that to my applet along with my client jar file (after signing the jar files). Using this Lightweight API bypasses the Cipher.getInstance() method all together, and is a little harder to use, but at least everything is working consistently now.
    I still believe this to be a bug either in the ClassLoader or the Cipher.getInstance() method. I intend to try to write a test applet that reproduces the error in a more simple way and if I can pull that off, I'll submit a bug report to Sun.
    Thanks to all who responded!!
