Where is HTTP access and error log when using Embedded PL/SQL Gateway?

Hello,
I am using Embedded PL/SQL Gateway to run stored procedures.
I can't find access log and error log (something like Oracle HTTP Server has).
In listener.log are only simple data and there are no usernames and procedure names...

Access and Error Log Rotation

When turning on Archive for the logs. cron style. The log gets archived with the date etc, but the new files access and error do not get created. I have ns-cron on and the rotation occurs, but the files name only changes and it never create the new files and only keeps changing the file names with the new name.

You may be running into Problem 4684892 mentioned in the release notes:

The Administration Server and the cron daemon must be run as root for cron-based log rotation to function properly. You may have to modify your cron.conf user to run as root.

Setup for PDF printing using Embedded PL/SQL Gateway, 11G DB and APEX 3.1

I've setup APEX on 11G using the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway. Its all working well.
I've enabled Network Services and can see a couple of printers I've defined after running
select * from DBA_NETWORK_ACLS;
and also can see the FLOWS_030100 and FLOWS_030000 users when I run
select * from DBA_NETWORK_ACL_PRIVILEGES;
I have been through http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/configure_printing.html and can see that I have a few choices ...
* Oracle BI Publisher,
* Apache FOP or
* some other XSL-FO Processing Engine.
I am not able to use Oracle BI Publisher ... license required:-( ... so that leaves the other two choices .. as I'm using the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway the Apache FOP is not an option ..
that leaves other XSL-FO Processing Engine .. has anyone had any experience in this area .. and can give me a few pointers ...
I'm kinda surprised I have little choice .. am I missing something?

Not a true statement. Using Oracle Containers for J2EE (10.1.3.2), as listed in that document you reference, is all you need to use Apache FOP. You don't know the full-blown Apache.

Error logging when running SSIS on SQL Server Agent

I have SSIS package running on SQL Server Agent Job.
When I'm running it, I get error and I'm urget to see History Logs.
When look Error logs in SQL Server Object Explorer, I don't find errors on this day.
Where should I look for error messages related to SSIS. Any thing to be configured on Management Studio or Data Tool?

As Russ posted, you need to expand the toggle to see the detailed information when viewing the Job history. Please see the screenshot below:
Besides, you can also edit the Job step, and switch to the Advanced tab to specify a job output file to log the detailed package execution failure information. The screenshot is for your reference:

Freezing anomalies and Error messages when using MOTU audio interface

The following problem occurs when using my MOTU 828mk2 audio interface.
The audio freezes up when playing back in Logic and any other time on the computer I'm attempting to play audio(internet, movie watching, etc.). I'm using a Mac Pro with 3gb ram. The program itself will often freeze up when attempting to play audio as well but works fine if the MOTU is turned off. The same thing goes for the internet and other programs. For instance, if I'm trying to listen to audio via the internet the page will freeze up and I most often wind up force quitting my browser.
The problem has been getting worse but now audio will not play through the MOTU but for intermittent short second stints or so before the audio in any application freezes up(rainbow spin wheel).
In Logic Express 7 this message first began to pop up:
"Error while trying to synchronize audio and MIDI".
This message is what pops up most often now:
"Logic Express has detected a possible conflict between one or more third party MIDI or audio drivers. -Be sure to install the latest drivers for all audio and MIDI equipment connected to you computer, and remove any older or unused drivers."
I have installed the recent Universal audio installer so I should be up to date with the MOTU driver but I don't know now about these, "third party drivers".
I do have my MOTU install disk so I could remove everything and reinstall..? *Do I have to remove old drivers? If so, how do I do this?*
NOTE: I had this same problem last year. For some reason I do not recall how it was resolved.

This is still a major problem for me. Any recommendations?

How to resolve the error -1073807339 when using Agilent LAN/GPIB Gateway (E5810A)?

Dear Sir/Madam,
Appreciate that you could advise me on the following error occur when connect power meter E4419B to computer via E5810A LAN/GPIB Gateway(remote interface) & run with Labview:

VISA Write in E4419_read_power.vi
I have added 5s timeout to Labview program but the result as previous.
There no error occurs when the power meter to computer via USB/GPIB interface(82357B).
Is it related to E5810A driver or the program I wrote?
How to resolve it?

Hi.
I'm experiencing the same problem when connecting a laser controller (New Focus Vortex TLB-6000) via the Agilent E5810A to a PC.
There are no problems when connected through a regular serial port, but timeouts arise every few seconds through the E5810A. I have another controller (SRS LDC501) which works very well with a second Agilent console.
Have you managed to find a solution to this problem?

Continous HTTP access error logged when using Weblogic Cluster

I am not sure if this is the right forum for this discussion, but here we go anyways.
We have created a Weblogic Cluster with one Administration Server and up to 12 Managed Servers. Our Weblogic version is 9.2.
SSL has been enabled for all Servers and the HTTP Listen Ports are all turned off. The cluster and all applications are working fine and communicating over HTTP as expected, however the logs grow 3MB+ per hour due to an error that repeatedly logged. This error appears to be an attempt by an internal Weblogic process to access some resource over HTTP.
Here are the various messages received in the logs. There are 3 messages logged per error occurred.
This first log message is from the domain log (I replaced the hostname/IP info with <PEER>):

I have searched all over trying to find a solution but with no luck thus far. I have seen some posts about turning on HTTPTunneling and this does seem to prevent the error from occurring, but this is not a solution for us.
I could really use some help in understanding whats going on and trying to resolve this issue. Our client will make a big deal out of this and will want a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
We had this problem with WebLogic Platform 9.2 MP2, running on Solaris. The patch CR344429 worked fine. The corresponding patch for 9.2 MP3 is CR370091. You can get these patches through Oracle Support.
A couple of points:
1. We did not have to set StartScriptEnabled=true for the patch to work. We use the SSL Niode manager.
2. Using the t3: protocol (-Dweblogic.management.server=t3://<admin server listen address>:<admin server listen port) does stop these exceptions, but causes these warning messages to appear in the administration server log file:

Difference between Oracle 10g and Oracle 11g when using Distinct in SQL

Hi All,
When I use Distinct in Oracle 10g, the result would be sorted in ascending order automatically, while there is no sorting in the result set in Oracle 11g.
I was using plsql developer to run my sql.
May I know if anyone have the same experience before?
Is there any kind of setting in 11g that I can make the result in order? Thanks!

As acadet says, if you want your result ordered you must specify an ORDER BY clause in your query. Just because previous versions of oracle included some ordering as part of the processing of a query, that was not a guaranteed ordering, but just a side-effect. Now that Oracle have improved the internal workings, they've removed the side-effect, and that's why you're not getting the ordering you want, because you were relying on that side-effect rather than explicitly stating the order you wanted.

I am having the same problem and took the following steps to mitigate it to no avail.
1. I deleted the Facebook app on the phone and turned off Facebook in the iPhone's system-wide settings.
2. I re-enabled Facebook in the iPhone's system-wide settings and reinstalled the Facebook app and logged in again. It worked. For about an hour.
3. I completely restored the phone to a previous backup (before the problems started) and reenabled Facebook .... reinstalled the app.... and now it works intermittenly. But it hasn't worked in about 12 hours now (just tried a few minutes ago).
Please advise.

I keep getting error 48 and error 69 when I am trying to synch my iPod to iTunes. I have tried all of the Apple troubleshooting steps and still cannot get music onto my iPod. Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it?

Hey there! I see you have Tiger...grrr...I love Tiger. But, is this a Windows problem? I am going to assume that this is a Mac OSX problem. Although, I own several Mac's, I have not run into that problem, But perhaps you could find the help on the iTunes for Mac forum:

As a registered developer which should be the only way you have access to the iTunes and iOS BETA, you have access to direct communication with the appropriate Apple personnel and/or access to the Apple forums for registered developers.
