Where is my Usb located?

i plugged in my USB and it did not pop up on my Desktop. i searched high and low but i cant find it. i need to find it so i can safely unplug it

Open the app that comes on your Mac called Disk Utility. It should list the USB drive along with your internal hard drive and any other connected drives. You can eject it using Disk Utility by selecting it in the list then clicking on the blue eject button near the top of the window. If it is not listed it is likely that it never connected to your computer in the first place, and if that's true, it should be safe to unplug without damage (but no promises).
Where (which port--back of the computer, keyboard, etc) did you plug in the drive? Does the drive have a light, and if so, is it on (steady or blinking, etc.)?

I received discs for Photoshop elements & premier elements 12 with my new camera but my computer doesn't have a DVD drive. I assumed it would be no big deal to download them from the Internet...wrong. .I have serial numbers to install Photoshop but I cannot find where the downloads are located. I downloaded the assistant and nothing happened. I went to the site you so kindly suggested and started the download, and when I tried to apply it to the computer it said elements were missing. I deleted the download and then started again. Right now it is once again downloading the assistant.

What was the problem...the length of time for the download or just getting any download at all?
If necessary, I will go step by step with you through the tryout download from Adobe. But, the purchase of a USB external DVD/CD burner for your computer is a good idea and investment.
If you do the shopping for this, check out how many connections are necessary for it to the computer....none, one, or two...check out the length of the USB cable.
Please let us know how we can help. But, your mentioned place of purchase has a squad who should be able to help your with the purchase.

I have copied over my music files to a new computer and the music shows on itunes but wont play. When I track where the song is located it is reading the wrong information. How do I change this as Edit>Preferences has the right location?

Select one of the tracks with a broken link, press ctrl-i to Get Info. Say No when iTunes asks if you would like to locate the track, then look at the Summary tab for the location expects to find the file in.
Now try to locate the file in question. The two locations should give a clue as to what to do next.
Here is an example with a file I've deliberately moved from the new layout to the old pre-iTunes 9 layout.
This means iTunes is expecting to find the file at:
D:\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\a-ha\Take On Me\01 Take On Me.mp3
but it isn't there because I've moved it to:
D:\iTunes\iTunes Media\a-ha\Take On Me\01 Take On Me.mp3
which is where it would have lived back in iTunes 8 (though the media folder would have been called iTunes Music back then as well).
If you can provide the expected and actual locations of a broken track I should be able to suggest the easiest way to resolve things.

How do I specify where a skin is located when publishing a Flash Video?

I'm creating Flash video's using the Import/Video wizard.
When I go to publish the video, I want the HTML file located in a
different (parent) directory from all the other video files, so
that all my HTML files for the site are in the root directory. The
problem is when I change the publish settings to create the HTML in
a different location, the video works properly but it doesn't find
where the skin is located and the skin doesn't show up. I thought
it would be simple to just change the HTML code to point to where
the skin is but I can't locate any references to the skin (name or
location) in any of the HTML code. How do I change the code to
accurately reflect where the skin is located???

Select the FLV Playback component instance, change skin
parameter at components inspector or parameters tab on property
inspector, select "Custom Skin URL" for the skin option, and set
the path of your player skin relative to your html.
e.g.
your html file located at web root directory, all swf files
located in a subfolder named 'swf', so if you are using the skin
ArcticOverAll.swf, type in the URL field:
swf/ArcticOverAll.swf
Alternatively, you can also type the full path of your skin
file on your web server.
e.g.
http://www.yourwebsite.com/somefolder/swf/ArcticOverAll.swf

In Find window: No indication of where a file is located. How do I find

It used to be that in a "Find" window the selected file or folder would generate a display at the bottom of where the item is located in the drive heirarchy. Since Mavericks was installed that is no longer the case.
If I do a find and select an item, how do I now know where it is located?

The Finder should still show the path to the files in the pathbar at the bottom of the window, when you select one of the items that have been found. The path will only be shown, when you select one of the items in the list.
Have you the pathbar enabled in the Finder's "View" menu? View > Show Path Bar.

Did you quite Mail and relaunch?
Your imported mail is stored in a new mailbox called “Import.” To reorganize imported messages, create new mailboxes and drag folders and messages from the Import mailbox to other mailboxes. When you’re done, you can delete the Import mailbox.
If you don’t see your mailboxes in Mail, choose View > Show Mailbox List; empty mailboxes aren’t imported.

Can't access a website I use every day...the server where this page is located isn't responding :-(

Hi, I am trying to access the website bloglovin.com which I access everyday (as part of my job) with no problems, however, the last 2 days I have not been able to get on to the site. After waiting for ages for it to load I eventually get the message ' the server where this page is located isn't responding'. I've tried to access from both my macs and my iphone and I get the same message on all of them. Is this a problem with my mac or their server?

I did infact get it working earlier today by putting the IP address into the browser instead of the URL and it solved the problem, however, I now have the same problem again tonight. I've tried restarting the router and it hasn't made any difference. Putting in th IP address isn't working this time either!

Had ISP provider here multiple times. They switched out the router/modem on 4 occasions. They ran new fiber optic cables to my house. They sent a PC tech here with a Mac, and he was able to get a strong wireless connection, but mine, he said, was "weak."
I called Apple support. They had me remove the battery and clear the PRAM. It didn't help.
There's no point in having a wireless connection if I cannot walk 20 feet away from the router without losing the connection.
Do I need a new Airport Extreme card?
How much would it cost to get one, and what is the process of getting it installed? (no longer under warranty)

where are the updates located for Mac App Store app? I don't think /Library/Updates is the only location. Because I'm now having 10+ of Apps reporting updates is needed, but only 1MB＋ files is located in /Library/Updates.

I can't burn a dvd because I get a message that says "The Build Location folder contains a HVDVD_TS folder(HD DVD content). You must remove the HVDVD_TS folder from the Build Location in order to proceed with Build/Format of a Standard DVD project." Where is this build location?

I encountered almost the exact same problem when burning my first HD disc after having built a number of SD discs. Instead, the error was: "Build location contains a VIDEO_TS folder (standard DVD Content). You must remove to proceed with build/format."
I simply did an File > Advanced Burn manually and everything worked just fine.

Where is color sync located (not color utility)? I am downloading an icc profile from Ilford paper and the instructions say to first download into downloads, then move to Library. This I did. But I cannot find Color Sync to move the profile into. When I did the "search" the list that turned up was not applicable. After that it needs to go to Profiles inorder that Lightroom 4 paper profiles list can receive it and be able to print according to the profile. How will I find Profiles?Thanks, Dolores P.S.
