Where is the Original iPad 2 Wallpaper?
I had to reset my ipad and lost the wallpaper I had been using. It was one of the choices that came with the Ipad 2. Is there a website that has these old wallpapers?
No clue which iOS the device shipped with so, try searching for it by using the iOS that came on the device in the search parameters. I.E. "Where can I download the original iOS 5 iPad wallpaper"?
The wallpapers are not device specific, but they are iOS specific.

You might be able to find the serial number for the older version of Lightroom thru your Adobe account online if you registered it when you installed it.

I thought the case for the original ipad was great, but it doesn't quite fit the ipad2. Is there somewhere I can find a case with that same design, but fitted for the ipad2?

I bought an update to the original iPad an iPad 3. In was told that migrating the data from my old iPad to the new will be a snap. Alas, it isn't. My desktop is a new high end PC that came preloaded with Windows 7 Professional and I have had nothing but problems. My earlier computer was XP and everything, including my Apple interface, in particular iTunes, worked without problems. When I was trying to back up my data from the old iPad to my desktop, the only thing it would do is synchronize, then got an error message to download the latest iTunes, which I did but it still did not work. I have a lot of music both purchased through iTunes and a lot of others which were CDs that were copied to the desktop. I also have a lot of books through Kindle and other books in iBooks and audio books from other sources, plus two iPods I want to sync. I need some advise on where I find the back up feature in iTunes so I can copy all the data on from my old iPad. Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you.

iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her. -
How do i reorient photos in the original ipad?
I have the original iPad. If i forget to reorient pictires from my camera before laoding to the iPad, i don't know how to change the orientation once in the device. I cannot find anything in the user guide that addresses this. Does anyone out there know?
How photos are deleted depend on where they came from. Start iPhoto on your iPad and go to the screen with albums on the glass shelves. Tap the ? In the top left corner of the screen. After the help files load tap View and Organize Photos. Then tap Deleting photos at the bottom of the list.

Okay. here's the deal. First, I received the original Ipad for a birthday present. Now, I have the ipad 2 and my dad has my original ipad. We were able to delete all of the apps and reset most of the other items. However, I originally had the kindle app on there and when he is reinstalling it comes up with my kindle account. How do we change this? He does not have an actual kindle so I am not sure if he would be able to create one anyways. I just don't want it to keep on coming up with my account.

OPen teh Kindle app.
Tap the i at bottom right then Settings > Deregister this device.

The Kindle app is so you do not have to use a Kindle. Yes, he can have a Kindle account and not own an actual Kindle hardware device. -
I Have the original iPad 5.1.1
iam looking for an app that can use voice to send text/messages its for a family member with physical limitationsI have the free version of this app that limits you to a 5MB file, but it does work. It requires iOS 3.1. I'm not sure how well the paid version works or what the limitations are.

I have the original iPad- about 18 mod old. I tried to download an etool program and it required iflashplayer. My iPad wouldn't do it. I went to the apple store and they told me to update my software to iOS 5.1.1 which I did . Now none of the apps I had installed prior to this work. The icons are still on my screen but when you touch them, it just blinks and nothing happens..like the screen is frozen. How do I restore all of these apps and favorites that I had on prior to this update? Please speak in very non- tech terms if possible. I am VERY low tech unfortunately!

You must use iTunes. Connect your device to your computer, open iTunes, select your device in the sidebar and press Restore. Then, you can restore your device from a backup, and sync the device with iTunes to transfer your files to it pressing Sync button -

The ipad not support wireless projector yet.
The workaround is you are using computer that connected wirelessly [needs 2 wireless adapter] / via cable to projector and connected also to the wireless router.
You are controlling the computer via wireless connected to the router using remote desktop app like splashtop, teamviewer, logmein, vnc, etc. You must set the remote desktop port and app at the computer too as ipad app support. -

I have the original ipad & it says it is no longer eligible to update. It is has plenty of memory so that isn't the problem
The minimum requirements (processor, ram, etc) don't meet the requirements for the current version of iOS. Apple determined that the original iPad was not robust enough to run iOS 6 without degrading the user experience being degraded beyond their level of an acceptable costumer experience.
More or less if you want the newer versions/features it is time to upgrade. I can say that most likely every 2-3 years is the upgrade cycle for iPads. -

Sounds like hardware failure.
Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider. -
How does the original iPad mini perform on iOS 8?
I have been thinking about getting a new iPad from the iPad 2. I know the original iPad mini and the iPad 2 have similar specs, but the real upgrade I get from it is the wireless technology and the ability to use Handoff. Overall, how does the original iPad mini handle iOS 8? Should I go with that iPad or get the iPad mini 2? I wouldn't get the iPad mini 3 because I don't think Touch ID is necessary for what I want to do on an iPad.
Overall, I am wondering how iOS 8 performs on the original iPad mini so it can help me choose between the original or the iPad mini 2. Thanks in advance for your input!Get the mini 2 when the prices come down. The mini 2 is baically a smaller iPad Air. The improvements over the mini are well worth the money.
