Where the Login Module should reside

Hi All,
We have a client which is swing application and we are trying to
authenticate an user using the weblogic specfic Login module and
authenticate method of the hepler class Authenticate. Right now the Login
Module and policy file reside in the client side. Now if I want to do the
authentication through a session bean deployed in weblogic server, where the
login module should reside(I mean should it be deployed in weblogic server).
Thanks
Suresh

Just add ur Login Module jar file (should also contain the configuration
file ) to the weblogic classpath. The only gotcha while deploying it on
weblogic is that weblogic has the jaas kit in weblogic.jar which often
conflicts with standard jaas.jar library (don't know why). So just keep
jaas.jar out of your weblogic and client application classpath.
Happy Securing

Just updated to lion and my cctv access has stopped functioning all I get is a white screen in the middle of the control panel where the camera shots should be.  I think it is caused by JAVA but am confused as when i view on snow leopard it works  can you help

Open "Java Preferences" either from spotlight or your utilities folder...it's probably going to say you need to install a java runtime. Then just click install!

  • Error in some of the login modules

    `Hi Experts,
I have deployed SPNEGO and when user trying to login to portal, it gives the error as taken from diagtoo(below)
Also would like to inform you that when I have configured the wizard, some how in VA for lots of the Components in Security
provider, I found lots of those components does have the value for the Evaluateticket, evaluateAssertion, basicpassword,
createticketlogon did not had any values to it.
The components which I have updated are,
    1. sap.com.lcr*sld---> I have added for EvaulateTicketloginModule and EvaluateAssertion ticket module like
    ume.configuration.active     true
    trustediss1               OU=J2EE,CN=ABC
    trusteddn1               OU=J2EE,CN=ABC
    trustedsys1               ABC,555
    and for CreateTicketLoginModule
    ume.configuration.active     true
Like wise done for the following components also.
    2. sap.com/sap.comtckmc.coll.room.wsdeplRoomABAPWS_config1
    3. sap.com/sap.commonitoringsysteminfo*sap_monitoring( here only 3 login modules present. so updated accordingly
to the above mentioned values for whatever loginmodule was present)
    4. jmx~spnego was not having the template as SPNEGO so selected SPNEGO template and updated whatever ( 5 login module accordingly)

    Hi rogerfrommilwaukee,
Welcome to the Apple Support Community!
Previous purchases can be located in the Purchased section of either your iOS device or in iTunes on a computer. The purchases will be available to re-download as long as they are still available in the App Store and you are using the same Apple ID. Please use the attached article as a reference.
    Download past purchases

  • Still no address bar. There is just a speed dial box where the address bar should. Navagation has a check in it

There is a check in the navigation box but there is still no address bar. The only thing that is where the address bar should be is speed dial icon. Above that is file, edit, history, etc, Below the speed dial icon there is most visited, getting started, latest headlines. below that are the tabs

Could you attach a screen shot of the "speed dial?"
    '''Safe Mode'''
You May need to reset toolbars and controls via [[Safe Mode]]
Make sure you completely close Firefox first. When you get to the Safe Mode window, select Reset toolbars and controls and then Make Changes and Restart.
    Hope this helps!

  • The following settings are ignored by the login module 'ticket' 'EvaluateTicketLoginModule':

When I access http://myserver.mycompany.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prteventname/HtmlbEvent/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.supportdesk.default it gives me the error:
    The following settings are ignored by the login module 'ticket' 'EvaluateTicketLoginModule': {trustedsys4=SMC,000} {trusteddn7=CN=BWX,OU=I0010191234,OU=SAP Web AS,O=SAP Trust Community,C=DE} {trustediss7=CN=BWX,OU=I0010191234,OU=SAP Web AS,O=SAP Trust Community,C=DE} {trusteddn4=OU=J2EE,CN=SMC} {trustediss4=OU=J2EE,CN=SMC} {trustedsys7=BWX,010}
The entries did exist, so I deleted them (via the SAP Visual Administrator) and then restarted the SAP Portal. The OSS note (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/721815) that is suggested does not give any recommendations for this error message.
Please can you advise how I can resolve this?

    Hi Paul,
    Apart from the parameters
    {trustedsys4=SMC,000} {trusteddn7=CN=BWX,OU=I0010191234,OU=SAP Web AS,O=SAP Trust Community,C=DE} {trustediss7=CN=BWX,OU=I0010191234,OU=SAP Web AS,O=SAP Trust Community,C=DE} {trusteddn4=OU=J2EE,CN=SMC} {trustediss4=OU=J2EE,CN=SMC} {trustedsys7=BWX,010}
in EvaluateTicketLoginModule, have specified the parameter - ume.configuration.active as "true" ?

  • I adjusted the login module, but it does not work.

I Adjust the Login Module Stacks according to the
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/aa/bf503e1dac5b46e10000000a114084/content.htm
I adjusted the Hello Application provided by the SAP J2EE Server, I remove all the login modules, I hope there is no login page displaying when I access to the Hello page again. But it does not work. The login page always appears.
Was I wrong to understand it?
    Any reply is appreciated.

    1. I finished configuration for Login module.
       2. And the document say, the last step is to make
sure the login modules take effort when the application
is accessed, using the Application Tracing Servie to
    restart the affected application.
But, I have not found the Application Tracing Service
    to restart the affected application.
I think it is why it does not work.
Hope your your any recommendations and Points must be
    rewarded.

  • Identify tables from where the function module extracts data for the ES

    Hi All,
For the datasource, 0CRM_SALES_ORDER_I in the CRM system, we need to add a new field (in the table level). This datasource's extraction type is 'F1 - function module'. Is the extractor itself is this function module? If it is a sepeate FM, where can we find the function module name used for this datasource?
We need to identify the tables from where the fields in this datasource fetch data from. Where can we find this information?
To be specific, in the sales order in tcode crmd_order, if we goto conditions tab and create a new condition, in what table this will get stored?
    Thank you in advance,
    Hari

Ignore this thread! there is another thread I have created for the same problem.
I created only one; wonder how it became two!!

  • How to change where the login option appears on multiple screens?

    God morning.
I have multiple screens on my Mac Pro. A normal screen, a projector and a USB-to-DVI converter.
When I log in the login screen appears on either the projector or the converter screens. Not on the normal screen. I need to drag the cables out for the login to enter on the normal screen. The normal screen is set to the primary screen so thats not the problem. Anyone with solution?
    Thanks!
    Eivind.

Weird.  I have multuple monitors and the boot stuff always appears on my main monitor.
See if smc and pram reset clears the problem.
I have multiple screens on my Mac Pro. A normal screen, a projector and a USB-to-DVI converter.
What video card are you using?  And USB-to-DVI is not the usual way for connecting monitors.  I wonder if that is confusing things.  So out of curiousity what happens if that monitor is not connected?

  • Where the sap script form resides in R/3

    Hi this is ramesh
can any body answer my doubt
When you create any Script/Smart form in sap and eventhough we store it in a Dvelopement class or package, it SE80 under that package it won't apper, Where these will resides in SAP R/3?

SAPScripts are saved as a type of "text" in tables STXH (STXD SAPscript text file header), STXL (STXD SAPscript text file lines), etc, so are client dependant.  They are co-located in these tables with standard texts, document texts etc but have a different text object value of "FORM".  You can use the READ_TEXT function module to get the contents of a script.

  • I have mobil me where the icloud icon should be, how do I find and download icloud?

Currently my macbook pro has mobil me, how do I convert to icloud?

You must be using OSX 10.6 or earlier, iCloud requires 10.7 or (the current version) 10.8, post back with your exact version number and I'll tell you what to do to get a newer version.

  • Unable to see photos in iphoto only  blank boxes where the photo's should be

can anyone help , usually use the external drive to manage iphoto, for some reason now when i click on iphoto, only blank boxes appear and even when i eject the hard drive and open iphoto it thinks it has found the library with blank boxes . ???

Remember we can't see your machine.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
    - Did it ever work properly?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.

  • Custom Login Module - all modules ignored

    Hello,
we created a custom login module and deployed it as library to the server. We than configured the login module as described in the SAP manual:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/46/3ce9402f3f8031e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
First we had a little problem with the library path. The security log has a nice overview what login stack and what modules where called, for our module it stated u201CCannot load login module class u2026.u201D
After reading the forum, we found that our login module path was wrong, we only added the class name as described in the tutorial. Correct was to use the library name from Visual Admin.
But now, if we call the portal, the security log is just empty. It seems no stack and no module is called at all. If we remove our custom module from the ticket stack, everything is fine and we get an entry in the security log with the ticket stack and all remaining modules.
If we add the custom login module to the stack again and enter username and password we get an error message that all modules are ignored.
Does anybody know this error and maybe what to do?
    Best regards,
    Kai

    Hi Kai,
    have you solved your problem?
Currently we are facing a similar Problem.
We have a custom login module. I deployed everything like in the tutorial. There should be no Problem with the login module itself, as it is an exact copy of a working one. Class names are the same. The only difference is in package names, project names, library names. I adjusted the classloader to the new library and also adjusted the classname in the user store where the login module is configured. The login module is part of the "ticket" authentication stack.
When we want to log on to the portal, we get an error like "all modules ignored".
Maybe you have found a solution which is also suitable for our problem.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Pascal

  • Custom Login Module - Commit Method return TRUE always?

    Hi,
I am creating a custom login module for my portal authentication.
For the login module, should the commit() method always return TRUE?
The example code on help.sap.com indicates yes to this question.
However, the JAVA Sun standard indicates that commit should return FALSE if the preceding login method returned FALSE.
Does the SAP example stray from the SUN standard?  How should I code the commit() method such that it works (Always TRUE, or follow lead of login() method)?
    Regards,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,
I'm actually working with this document: <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/events/webinars/jaas%20login%20module%20development%20on%20webas%20java%20640.pdf#search=%22classloader%20sda%20jar%20reference%22">JAAS Login Modules</a>.
There is also example code. If it should be ignored they return false, otherwise true (page 32).
