  • Error Using the SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC Service Pack 3

    Hi,
    Im using the SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC Service Pack 3. The connection is succesfully, but when I use de statement.executequery() method, there is the follow exception:
    java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC][SQLServer]Invalid object name 'PEC_COUNTRY'.
    This is my code:
    ResultSet resultSet;
    Statement statement;
    Connection connection;
    Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver").newInstance();
    connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://S0MALMUERTA:1433;user=sa;password=");
    statement = connection.createStatement();
    resultSet = statement.executeQuery("SELECT COY_INX, COY_NAME, COY_ICO FROM PEC_COUNTRY
    ");When I make the last instruction, occurs the above exception
    Thanks in advance
    Luija

    The way you are connecting, the default database used will be 'master' and i guess that the table PEC_COUNTRY was defined in another database.
    If it is the case you need to specify the database name.
    connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://S0MALMUERTA:1433;DatabaseName=yourdb;user=sa;password=");

    Hi CFSA,
    Thanks for your post.
    If you want install TFS 2012 Server with Reporting Server, you must ensure the provided Reporting Services is running first.
    As Daniel said, please check that in SQL Server Configuration Manager to ensure Reporting Services is installed and running.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    You have two options, you can use DB Connect but you need SAP DBSL for SQL Server 2000 and the DB Client and this could be have a additional cost, or you can use UD Connect, that make the connection with Java, using JCo's and the Driver Java for SQL Server 2000, please review this link: [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/58f4db47-0501-0010-a2bf-ff01b150fdff|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/58f4db47-0501-0010-a2bf-ff01b150fdff]
    I recomend if you dont have the SAP DBSL and DB Client for SQL Server 2000 that use UD Connect is really useful.

  • Which is the best way to migrate the SQL SERVER 2000 Database to SQL SERVER 2003 Database?

    Hi,
        I  need to migrate the Production database sql server 2000 to Sql server 2003, Please give me the best idea to migrate the database without any loss data, credentials and  Objects.
    Nandha Kumar

    SQL server does not have any version named SQL server 2003 please check the version correctly it should be either SQL 2005,2008,2008 R2,2012
    You can use the backup/restore to upgrade the SQL 2000 database to till SQL 2005,2008,2008R2
    For SQL Server 2000 to 2012
    First upgrade from SQL 2000 database to either SQL 2005, 2008 or 2008R2 and than upgrade it to SQL 2012.
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/eaa1eb44-729f-466b-8233-cb768fbb4208/upgrading-to-sql-server-2008-from-sql-server-2000?forum=sqlsetupandupgrade

    And after migration to SQL 2005 or 2008, if you want to script the database than can generate scripts pick DB and check off "script all objects in the selected database".
    http://blog.sqlauthority.com/2011/05/07/sql-server-2008-2008-r2-create-script-to-copy-database-schema-and-all-the-objects-data-schema-stored-procedure-functions-triggers-tables-views-constraints-and-all-other-database-objects/
    You can upgrade from SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, and SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2012.

    No. To download AND use SAP software you need to have a valid contract with SAP and pay for the license as well as a yearly maintenance.

  • I cannot download the latest QuickTime 7 plug-in for Firefox on Windows 7

    This all started when a website I go to frequently told me that my QuickTime plugin 7.3.1.70 in FireFox was "vulnerable". I told Firefox to update it and got to a dialog box asking me if I wanted to "Save file" to save the installer binary. I pushed "Save file" and expected to get a dialog box to tell it where to save the file to. (I have FireFox configured to always prompt me where I want downloads to be saved.) I never got a dialog box. Nothing happened. Is something amiss with the Quicktime website at https://secure-appldnld.com? It was trying to download "QuickTimeInstaller.exe".

    you are downloading from here? > QuickTime 7.7.6 for Windows <- this is just one level deeper than QTK's link, I think.
    Bottom line, if Chrome download works but FF does not, that tells us that it is a FF issue and should be looked into there

  • JSP, Sql Server 2000 Driver, classpath

    Hello All,
    I've got a really weird problem here.
    I want to connect a JSP page to a SQL Server 2000 database.
    I downloaded the SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC, and it seems to have installed fine.
    Next I write a regular java program to test the connection. It works fine, I get a "Connection Successful message". Here' the code:
    import java.sql.*;
    public class MSSqlServerJDBCTest {
        public static void main( String args[] ) {
            Connection conn;
            if ( args.length != 3 ) {
                System.out.println( "Usage: java MSSqlServerJDBCTest "
                    + "<server> <username> <password>" );
            } else {
                try {
                    String serverName = args[ 0 ];
                    String userName = args[ 1 ];
                    String password = args[ 2 ];
                    String connStr = "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://"
                        + serverName + ":1433";
                    Class.forName( "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver" );
                    conn = DriverManager.getConnection(
                        connStr, userName, password );
                    System.out.println( "Connection successful" );
                    conn.close();
                catch ( SQLException e ) {
                    System.err.println( "SQL Exception: " + e.getMessage() );
                catch( ClassNotFoundException e ) {
                    System.err.println( "SQL Server JDBC Driver Not Found!!" );
    }Now, when I include similar into a JavaBean, which is used in a JSP, I get a classNotFound exception:
    Exception occured: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriverSo then I checked out the classpath a few times using echo %classpath%
    Everything seemed okay, the driver jars are in the path, but the JSP can't find the driver.
    I looked at the System.out file in the j2sdkee1.3.1\logs..... directory.
    The start of the file contains this stuff:
    Logging for J2EE Server Version: 1.3.1-b17 started at: Fri Nov 08 17:31:53 GMT 2002..
    Using the Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM and the version number 1.3.1_02 from Sun Microsystems Inc..

    J2EE Home Directory has been set to: c:\j2sdkee1.3.1.Look at the classpath - its different from when I do an echo %classpath% from the command line. Notice also it DOESN'T contain the driver jars that I need. This is probably why I can connect from a regular java program, but not from within J2EE.
    So where does this leave me? How can I change the classpath so that the changes are seen from within the J2EE container?
    Please help,
    Thanks in advance,
    Ruzer

    I modified the C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\bin\userconfig.bat file with the line:
    set J2EE_CLASSPATH=c:\sqldriver\msutil.jar;c:\sqldriver\mssqlserver.jar;c:\sqldriver\msbase.jarI had to change the location of the MS SQLServer 2000 driver cos J2EE.bat wouldn't start with the original location. I don't think it liked the spaces.
    Now I get a different exception:

  • Java Web Server 6.1 & Pooled SQL Server 2000 JDBC Connections

    If anyone can shed some light on this problem I would greatly appreciate it.
    I am unsuccessfully trying to use a database connnection retrieved from a pool configured using Java System Web Server 6.1 with the SQL Server 2000 JDBC Driver.
    The background:
    1. I have downloaded the SQL Server 2000 JDBC Driver and installed it on the web server.
    2. I used the Administration GUI to add the .jars(namely msbase.jar, msutil.jar, and mssqlserver.jar), to the classpath.
    3. Upon creating a simply JSP to access connection metadata using the direct connect method, ie.,
    Class.forName( com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver);
    Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection( "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver:// ....
    I am shown a successful output of...
    JDBC Test
    Registering JDBC Driver
    driverClass: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver loaded and registered.
    Driver Information
    Driver Name: SQLServer
    Driver Version: 2.2.0037
    Database Information
    Database Name: Microsoft SQL Server
    Database Version: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.760 (Intel X86) Dec 17 2002 14:22:05 Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: )
    Avalilable Catalogs
    catalog: master
    catalog: msdb
    catalog: Northwind
    catalog: pubs
    catalog: tempdb
    4. This tells me that the web server has access to the files necessary and the classpath is configured correctly.
    Now the fun begins...
    In order to set up the JDBC Connection Pool I have done the following...
    1. I have created a web.xml file for the web-app which contains the JSP and includes the following entry
    <resource-ref>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/devjwscp</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    2. I have used the "JDBC Connection Pools" link under the "Java" tab in the Administration GUI to create a connection pool.
    "Pool Name:" is "devjwscp"
    "DataSource Classname" is set to "com.microsoft.jdbcx.sqlserver.SQLServerDataSource". All other properties have been left alone.
    3. I have used the "JDBC Resources" link under the "Java" tab in the Administration GUI to create a JNDI resource.
    "JNDI Name" is set to "jdbc/devjwscp"
    "Status" is "true"
    "Pool Name" is "devjwscp"
    The web-app JSP comes back with the following exception.

    What gives? Do I need to add anything else to the server.xml? I know the server.xml for JWS differs from Apache. I have done an exhaustive search of the web. Many other individuals have had the same thing happen, buy none of them offered any explaination or remedy.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How can I get a date without the hour from sql server 2000 ?

    hellou!
    I have a JTable, and one of it's columns has to show a date. This date i have to show is specified as datetime on the Sql Server 2000 database where I have to take the data.
    the query of the dataset attached to the JTable is something like "select * from Table".
    The problem is that the JTable column that displays the date shows the date and the hour, for example:
    7/10/04 0:00:00
    and I need to show the date without the hour, only the 7/10/04. Can anyone tell me how to do that?
    thank you very much! : )

    The easiest way to format a date is with java.text.SimpleDateFormat. When creating it you pass a format string which can be used to parse or format date objects.
    SimpleDateFormat formater = new SimpleDateFormat( "MM/dd/yyyy" );
    // Get date objects directly from sql
    Date foundDate = result.getDate( 1 );  //where result is the ResultSet and 1 is the date column
    String formatedDate = formater.format( foundDate );Now the JTable's table model can be adjusted to store a formated String instead of a Date. If for some reason it is required to store the value as a Date overload the table model to return the formated string when getValueAt is called.

  • Please ... tell me how to download and instale the setup for the SQL Server Express 2012

    My OS is 32-bit and i have already downloaded the SQL Server 2012 Express but i cant find the SQL Server Management studio  so please tell me how can i get it?

    Hello Muhammad,
    if you already install SQL server, to run the Managment Studio you can click Start and Run, and type "SSMS".
    Of course you can create a shortcut and look for the file (this is the installation location you selected during the installation process) using the Windows search (pressing F3 activates the search).
