Where to include the SolarisNamingProfile object class

Hi,
trying to use DS 5.1 to authenticate Solaris 8, I don't know where to include this object class. LDAP Setup and Configuration Guide (806-5580 from Jan 2001) refers to the slapd.user_oc.conf file that no longer exists.
Which of the ../config/schema files should we use?
TIA

• Oracle Access Manager Configuration : Cannot find the Person Object Class

Hi,
I am trying to install OAM , I am getting the following error when i am configuring the Identity server for the first time.
1) I have installed OID. I am using one OID for both config and user data.
2) I have installed Identity server and have modified the OID schema automically during installation.
3) I have installed web pass.
I have gone to the url: http://trn-ps-oid.oracle.com:7777/identity/oblix
Here i gone to Identity System Console to configure Identity server.
Following are the config data i have given
Configuration DN : dc=mydomain,dc=com
Search Base : dc=mydomain,dc=com
Host : mypc.mydomain.com
Port Number : 389
Root DN : cn=orcladmin
Root Password : *******
Directory Server Security Mode : Open
Is the Configuration data stored in this directory also : Yes
Person Object Class : inetorgperson
Auto configure objectclass : yes
Group Object Class : groupOfUniqueNames
Auto configure objectclass : yes
After this I have clicked on the restart server button.
It comes back to the page asking to enter Person Object class details.
I Get the Error : Cannot find the Person Object Class.
I have checked the object class in OID it is there, I have verified the connection details are also correct.
Any Ideas what might be wrong.
Earlier during setup i had to modify the OID schema, how do i check if this has been done.
Any Ideas

• Cannot find the Person Object Class

In Identity Server installation the Person object class is not accepting this recommended object "inetOrgPerson", "User" and Organizational Person" .
What should be the person object class be supplied to make the installation continue? Is there anything that I need to configure in Oracle fusion middleware 11g?
thanks for the help in advance.

Hi
What is the directory server you are using? If you are using AD. It does not have inetOrgPerson object class.
Person object class is custom object class created for your organization which contains all the custom attributes created according to requirement of your organization.
Refer following document for more details,

Can anyone tell me where to download the Business Objects LiveOffice Plugin
Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
If you have installed Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 on your machine from CD, follow the steps to install the Live Office,
1. Navigate to the Add-Ons\Live Office folder on the BusinessObjects Enterprise collaterals CD or locate the Live Office setup.exe file on your network.
2. Double-click setup.exe to launch the Live Office Installation Wizard.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Live Office Installation Wizard to complete the installation procedure.
You can also download the collaterals for Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 by logging in the service.sap.com and following the following steps,
1. Click on the SAP Support Portal link, and then go to Downloads Tab and click on the 'SAP Software Distribution Center'.
2. In the middle of the page you will get the 'Search for Software' link, click on that link.
3. In the Search type 'Collaterals' and click search.
4. You will get the Collaterals for BOBJ Enterprise XI R2 SP2 and SP4 for Windows.
Hope this resolves your issue.

• Where to include the jpos.properties file?

Hi,
We have a code that needs to be run. I have used the netbeans to do it. I understand that netbeans has its own environment variables that makes the application independent. The code works in netbeans but when i try to run it in the command line, this appears:
"jpos/res/jpos.properties not found"
As i had traced it, the directory(where jpos.properties resides) which i added in the Libraries was not copied in the dist folder. It says that it "...is a directory or can't be read. Not copying the libraries."
It is very important that this jpos.properties be copied since there are a lot of abstract classes used in the code.
Does anyone know where i should include this jpos.properties file?
thanks. :)

I've already made it run through the command line. I just included the jpos.properties in the jar package.
Thanks to all the replies.
Apology to someone who was bugged due to my crosspost.

• Where to store the Connection object?

Hi,
I am using JDBC together with JSF technology to building web applications. I have the following questions:
1. Where do we usually store the open Connection object so that every class in my web application can make use of it to update or retrieve database data?
2. Since JSF uses managed-beans which is not a servlet itself, if I store the Connection object as an attribute in the application scope then it can only be retrieved from a servlet.
3. If I make the Connection object on every class where I would like to have database access, it seems that it is not following good practice since this would create duplicate codes in every Java class which is going to have database access.
Does anybody have an idea? Thank you.

Hensome wrote:
1. But how do I use the managed bean within a servlet? Could you write some simple sample codes?
2. If I only use simple navigation rules and backing beans, when the submit button is clicked then the action method of the managed bean is triggered. I will then trigger the action which uses JDBC for database access. This whole process does not go through a particular servlet. Is this also possible? If yes, how?
Thank you.the process does run through a particular servlet, it's the faces servlet and is defined by something that looks like
<servlet>
<servlet-name>Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet</servlet-class>
<load-on-startup>0</load-on-startup>
</servlet> in your web.xml file. You don't have direct access to it, but you can save references to objects in the session or request so other objects can access it. Lets say that your faces code uses a DAO to read some data and you want to pass the data to a servlet, what you need to do something like:
List data = myDAO.read();
FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
HttpSession session = (HttpSession)facesContext.getExternalContext().getSession(true);
session.setAttribute("myData", data);this will save the data object or list in the session as an attribute. Then, when the other servlet runs, you can do something like:
public void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
throws ServletException, IOException {
HttpSession session = request.getSession(false);
Object obj  = session.getAttribute("myData");
List myData = (List)obj;
} Now the servlet has access to the list of data read by the faces bean. You shouldn't directly access faces beans themselves from another servlet, you should instead access POJOs that you have defined or collections of them.

• Bug: weblogic.jar doesn't include the javax.ejb classes

In the
Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.6) + Coherence -
Package Installer
the C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\weblogic.jar doesn't include the javax.ejb package classes. The javax.ejb package is empty.

This is the correct behavior, stub and skeleton classes are generated at deployment time by WebLogic server and stored in a server internal location.
In case you are interested, it is something like: ...\samples\domains\medrec\servers\MedRecServer\cache\EJBCompilerCache\ with file named like HelloSession_gjfaqw_Intf.java., etc.

• How to get the profile object in simple java class (Property accessor)

Hi All,
Please guide me how to get the profile object in simple java class (Property accessor) which is extending the RepositoryPropertyDescriptor.
I have one requirement where i need the profile object i.e i have store id which is tied to profile .so i need the profile object in the property accessor of the SKU item descriptor property, which is extending RepositoryPropertyDescriptor.
a.I dont have request object also to do request.resolvename.
b.It is not a component to create setter and getter.It is simple java class which is extending the RepositoryPropertyDescriptor.
Advance Thanks.

Iam afraid you might run into synchronization issues with it. You are trying to get/set value of property of a sku repository item that is shared across various profiles.
Say one profile A called setPropertyValue("propertyName", value).Now another profile B accesses
getPropertyValue() {
super.getPropertyValue() // Chance of getting value set by Profile A.
// Perform logic
There is a chance that profile B getting the value set by Profile A and hence inconsistency.
How about doing this way??
Create PropertyDescriptor in Profile (i.e user item descriptor), pass the attribute CustomCatalogTools in userProfile.xml to that property.
<attribute name="catalogTools" value="atg.commerce.catalog.CustomCatalogTools"/>
getPropertyValue()
//You have Profile item descriptor and also storeId property value.
// Use CustomCatalogTools.findSku();
// Use storeId, profile repository item, sku repository item to perform the logic
Here user itemdescriptor getPropertyValue/setPropertyValue is always called by same profile and there is consistency.

• Where to include custo object types in workflow events?

Hi All,
One of my friend is working on HR related Workflow. He has a question about where to include the custom change document infotypes in workflow events.
To make it clear, he says there are three transactions swehr1, swehr2 and swehr3. Now, if he wants to include a custom object (Z object) which transaction should he use?
Please reply ASAP.
Regards
Swapna.

Yes, you use swehr1 to link the infotype to the object type. Then use swehr3 to create the event linkage to your function module or object type event.
I just did this with an e-recruiting project and it worked fine. For example:
swehr1 entry:
NB Requisition 5131 Persons Responsible ZERC_REQUI Job Requisition
swehr3 entry:
NB  Requisition     5131  Persons Responsible   INS     0     ZERC_REQUI             Z_ON_MEMBER_ADD
This accomplishes the following: when a record is inserted for infotype 5131, the function module Z_ON_MEMBER_ADD runs. That function module decides if or which event should be raised. Alternatively I could have entered an event for the ZERC_REQUI object type, but then the event will always be raised on a 5131 record insertion, and for my application I didn't want that.
I hope this example is helpful.

• Tool to create Java Object classes using the Database Tables

Hi,
Is their any tools or utility available to create the Java Object Classes using the Database Tables as input.
Lets Say I am having the Employee, Employee_Salary tables in the Database.The utility has to create the Java Object classes with the relation.
Please Help...
Thx..

Hm, for generating regular Java classes I wouldn't know one from memory. But I suggest you start searching in for example the Eclipse marketspace for a third party plugin that can do it. If all fail, you could always use Hibernate Tools from the Jboss Tools Eclipse plugin set to generate Hibernate/JPA entities and then strip the annotations from them to turn them into regular POJO classes.
How many tables are we talking about anyway? It might be less effort to just create the classes with properties and then use an IDE to generate getters and setters for them.

Hi SaMolPP,
You should try to use the existing ULS logging, following article is for 2010 but should also work in 2013 :
http://geekswithblogs.net/venkatx5/archive/2010/12/09/how-to-use-uls-in-sharepoint-2010-for-custom-code.aspx
No additional lists or databases needed.
Hope this helps

• Force a GROUP BY to a dimension without including the column in the SELECT

Post Author: ewagener
CA Forum: Desktop Intelligence Reporting
I have a SUM measure object in my universe that has a Select statement consisting of a COUNT(distinct([Some column on Fact Table])). I would like to force a join to a dimension table and subsequent GROUP BY statement for one column on the dimension table anytime that this measure object is used.
I know that I can force the join from the fact table to the dimension table by simply putting the join syntax in the WHERE clause of the measure object. Example
SELECT COUNT(distinct ([Some column on Fact Table]))
WHERE FACT.DIM_KEY = DIM.DIM_KEY
The SQL that BusObj generates is correct and a join is made whenever the object is used, even by itself. Now I want to force BO to include a GROUP BY clause for one of the columns that is on the dimension table, while not forcing the user to select that column in the report. The SQL that I would like BO to generate is:
SELECT COUNT(distinct ([Some column on Fact Table]))
WHERE FACT.DIM_KEY = DIM.DIM_KEY
GROUP BY DIM.FIELD_A
I know a u201Cwork aroundu201D is to just include FIELD_A in my report and then hide it or remove it from the results. This works because I have the appropriate join defined in my universe linking the fact table to the dimension table on the PK/FK relationship. My report writer user does not want to have to add the column then remove it from the report, however, even though it gives her the correct answer. She has asked if we could do all of that behind the scenes. I also know that the ultimate solution would be do declare another fact grain and either use a view or a new fact table altogether. It may come to that, however, I am looking for a quick solution to just force the object to do a GROUP BY to a field in a dimension not selected in the report.
Thanks,
Ed

i think you have to revise the Structre Query Language of your DBMS
there is nothing called Group by without a dimension to group by it
good luck
