Which rpm packages do I need to get a hold of?
We're trying to set up a temporary test server for a customer, and they asked for the following packages to be installed:
compat-libstdc++-egcs-1.1.2-1.i386.rpm
compat-oracle-el5-1.0-5.i386.rpm
(among others which installed fine)
When I attempt to install these last two packages, I'm getting errors. For the first one:
$ rpm -ivh compat-libstdc++-egcs-1.1.2-1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
glibc-devel >= 2.2.90-12 is needed by compat-libstdc++-egcs-1.1.2-1.i386
And for the other:
$ rpm -ivh compat-oracle-el5-1.0-5.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
compat-binutils215 is needed by compat-oracle-el5-1.0-5.i386
compat-gcc-34 is needed by compat-oracle-el5-1.0-5.i386
compat-gcc-34-c++ is needed by compat-oracle-el5-1.0-5.i386
gcc is needed by compat-oracle-el5-1.0-5.i386
gcc-c++ is needed by compat-oracle-el5-1.0-5.i386
When I attempt to install glibc-devel-2.3.2-27.9.7.i386.rpm (to satisfy the first dependency) I see :
error: Failed dependencies:
glibc = 2.3.2 is needed by glibc-devel-2.3.2-27.9.8.i386
Right now I have glibc-2.5-65 installed. When I try to install glibc 2.3.2, I get a conflict.
Am I approaching this wrong? I'm attempting to use rpmfinder.net to track down these dependencies. It's a difficult, error-prone process. But when I try to do "yum install X" I just get no results found, probably because no repository is set up.
What's a better way to do this? I don't have Yum configured on this system. If the answer is "use Yum", I'd like to find out how to connect to a free public yum server that has these packages.
From what I can gather the packages you are looking for are not included in the standard distribution:

Is this to install EBS? I suggest to check for product compatibility. It is also possible that the installation requires further libraries from EL4, which may lead to further problems. In this case you are better off running OEL4 or ask the customer to upgrade their product so it is compatible with OEL/OL 5. If OL5 is required because of hardware, and your product does not support OL5, then another option is to run OEL4 under OL5 using free Oracle Virtualbox. The possible performance penalty should be manageable. Or use Oracle VM.

Opening system prefs is fine...when I click on users/accounts, the spinning ball appears and eventually system prefs just closes itself down.
I've also had a lot of ? Kernel panics....the grey see through screen slowly drops down, the multi language restart writing appears....I restart and it's just the same.
At the moment it feels like my mac is unusable...should I just uninstall lion and reinstall snow leopard?

But with these components, I have not the new abap editor at Tx Se38 -> Utilities -> Settings -> ABAP Editor
I'm using SAP GUI 710.
Can anyone tell me what support package level I need to get the new abap editor?

They will install/run at your system ,then u will be able to see the option in editor for

It certainly sounds like your harddrive is dying. I would Immediately backup your harddrive to an external USB or Firewire harddrive Before doing anything else. It just may save your data in time before you lose it all.

I have got a Activation Lock on my iPhone and I need to get it activated. I don't know what Apple ID I was using with my iPhone. It shows as U***@h******.uk which is too short to be my email address. I have reset all my Apple ID passwords and none are activating my iPhone. I have also been into the apple store and they have tried to find out the Apple ID my iPhone was using but this was not successful. The serial number of my iPhone is: C32JN641DTWF
You are going to need to change the email address you use with your old ID. Once you have got access to your old account you will then log into both accounts at the same time on your Mac and transfer your data to a single account. We can do this later, but need you to get access to your old account first.

I have a 32 gb ipad air but need to get the songs I have stored in iTunes on my old iMac onto the ipad air or stored somewhere else. I have over 10000 songs on there which is 30.47 gb. far too much to put on my ipad air. How do I get them off my old iMac which has no internet connection ? And where do I put them. Any help would be appreciated
No I don't have another computer. I was thinking initially I would put them on my ipad but since I don't have enough gb maybe I can store them in some cloud thing? Sorry am a bit of a Luddite when it comes to all this. I just need to have them stored someplace and accessible to play when I need to. Thanks for your help.

Do we need rpm package oracleasmlib for using Oracle ASMLib?
..The Oracle ASMLib kernel driver is now included in the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel.
No driver package needs to be installed when using this kernel.
The oracleasm-support and oracleasmlib packages still need to be installed from ULN+

It has been some time since Apple updated AirPort Utility for Windows. The current version is 5.6.1.
It runs on Windows 7, but I have not checked on Windows 8.

I need the cvuqdisk rpm package for IBM PPC running Redhat. It is not in the Oracle distro that was downloaded from Oracles site.
