  • Which type of SSD for Satellite L70-A-14U

    I would like to replace the HDD of my Toshiba L70-A-14U notebook by a SSD. Which type of drive should I buy?
    * 2.5" ok?
    * mSATA-300, mSATA-600 or SATA III?
    * 9,5mm or 7mm disk?
    Which of these options are ok?

    Hi
    The SSD drive can be used instead of the HDD.
    The notebook handles and 2.5 SATA 9.5mm height HDD.
    To me this means that you can use also an 2.5 9.5mm height SATA SSD drive.
    The SATA controller is compatible to the newer standards.
    This means that you will be able to use faster SSD drive. But of course the SSD drive performance (data transfer speed) will be clocked down to the same standard supported by controller.

  • How to find out which type of the driver is used in our application?

    Hi all,
    can anyone tell me how to find out which type of the driver is used in our application?
    Thanks in advance,
    Phoeniox

    Hi,
    Check out this...
    Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"); //if u r using MySql
    List drivers = Collections.list(DriverManager.getDrivers());
                   for(int i=0;i<drivers.size();i++)
                        Driver driver = (Driver)drivers.get(i);
                        String driverName = driver.getClass().getName();
                        System.out.println("Driver "+i+":::"+driverName);
    you need to load the driver and display in the same program.
    Then only you'l get the required result.

  • Which types of external hard drives works with T400?

    Hi Thank you for reading my post.
    Can someone please let me know which types of external hard drives works with a T400?
    eSata, USB or firewire?
     Which model and brand you suggest for a 1TB drive?
    Thanks

    USB 2.0 is the connection that is natively supported on the T400, no eSATA or Firewire port i think, you can get these ports by buying an expansion card for the card slot (i think it is the expresscard one) on the T400.
    Regarding a 1TB drive, most of the large drive manufacturers have one out, but i suggest you unless you need the large capacity, i would stick with a smaller drives like 750 gig or 500 gig since the cost gigabyte is lower. Also i would stay away for storing all your important files solely in these drive, because if these things start to fail it would be on a moment's notice, you probably won't even have time to backup the files, before the harddrive gives up on you.

  • How to know which type of jdbc driver used in my application

    How to know which type of jdbc driver used in my application.

    My approach will be....
    Type1: you have to have ODBC s/w install on your machine...even the connection string starts with jdbc:odbc....so it can be identifed easily
    Type2: you have to install client s/w in your machine...if you are using oracle oci driver ...you need to install oracle client s/w
    Type3: you use servername / port to connnect to middleware
    Type4: you do not need any client s/w
    So, If your application works without any client s/w on your machine....you might be using Type4/Type3 driver.....otherwise Type2
    Someone pls add more ....

  • Compaq Presario v6346ea: Which type of SATA controller?

    I've recently bought an Intel X25-M/G2 Solid State Drive and was expecting read speeds of 200 MB/s on my Compaq Presario v6346ea notebook. Instead of that the maximum speed I get from CrystalDiskMark is 135 MB/s.
    Now I'm suspecting the SATA controller of my notebook to not being able to handle the speeds of this Solid State Drive.
    I've looked on HP's website to find out which type of SATA controller is used in my Compaq Presario v6346ea but can't find find any clear info on that subject.
    From what I read at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA there are 3 types:
    SATA Revision 1.0 (SATA 1.5Gb/s, max 150 MB/s throughput minus overhead.)
    SATA Revision 2.0 (SATA 3Gb/s, max 300 MB/s minus overhead.)
    SATA Revision 3.0 (SATA 6Gb/s, max 600 MB/s and up minus overhead)
    Does anybody know which type of SATA controller is used in this Compaq Presario v6346ea notebook?

    Thank you for the additional info. I ran SISoft Snadra and found some interesting stuff. For instance, it IDed the chipset as a mcp78s not a mcp77. It also indicates that it can use DDR3 memory. I'm not sure if that's accurate, as it conflicts with specs I've read elsewhere. If true, I wish I'd known that when I upgraded my RAM to 8GB. :-p Anyway, I've tried to determine the SATA revision, but I'm not sure if I'm going about it the right way. I went to "Storage Devices" and clicked the only available button: "Physical Disks , Storage adapters and devices". From there I can choose my internal hard drive from a menu, and it shows the maximum SATA mode as G2 / SATA300. But I'm not sure if this is in reference to the controller or the drive. I know that the drive is a SATA-II, so it would show that if it's displaying the drive's capabilities. It certainly tells me everything else I'd ever want to know about the drive. When I switch to my external USB HDD, it shows the maximum SATA as G3 / SATA600. For the DVD drive it shows G1 / SATA150. So I kind of think it's showing me the maximum capabilities of the drives, not the controllers.  Is there some other way to check the maximum SATA capabilities of the hard drive controller? Sorry. I'm not too familiar with SISoft Sandra, and it's not really obvious to me. And given what it's turned up about the chipset and the memory support, I want to be sure here. Thanks.

    The data that I want replicate from server to remote PC's will be products, prices, stocks... and the data I want replicate from PC's to server will be orders, ticket sales...
    Which type of replication recommend me for this scenario?.

    Hi, Microsoft SQL Server Express can serve as a Subscriber for all types of replication.
    SQL Server Express cannot serve as a Publisher or Distributor. However, merge replication allows changes to be replicated in both directions between a Publisher and Subscriber
    SQL Server Express does not include SQL Server Agent, which is typically used to run replication agents

    But when we are creating the datasource with thin type of driver, it is working fine. We have already created a driver with name “ORACLE_DRIVER” in server using the ojdbc14.jar using Netweaver administrator consol.
    Same this is happening when we are creating the OCI type of datasource by using Netweaver administrator consol by specifying all the parameter as above and also the initial connection pool size is more than zero.
    Same thing is happening for normal (JDBC 1x) datasource creation with OCI type driver.

    Which external hard drive should I use/choose as I am setting up Time Machine on my MacBook Pro 15 for the very first time?

    Any of these SATA HDDs that are at least the same size as your internal HDD (preferably larger capacity).  In addition you will need an enclosure, preferably one with a Firewire as well as a USB connection.

  • Which external hard drive should I use to save my iTunes library?

    Hi,
    So I have collected so much music and movies in iTunes that my internal HD is practically full.  (Library is over 500GB of 1TB and the rest is taken up with my apps and programs.)  It's time to purchase an external hard drive to transfer my library to.  Furthermore, I currently have a 2TB WD My Book for Mac that I am currently using for backup.  The My Book is also full and Time Machine is deleting the oldest backups to make room for the current ones.
    Here is where I need everyones advice.  I am planning on purchasing a 3TB WD My Book for Mac.  I am planning on purchasing more movies for iTunes.  Which external hard drive should I use for what?  Option A or B
    Option A:  Put my iTunes library on the 2TB external hard drive and use the 3TB for backup
    Option B:  Put my iTunes library on the 3TB external hard drive and continue to use the 2TB for backup
    Also please give me your reasoning.
    Thanks everyone for your responses!

    Limnos,
    So, let's go one step further with this.  I read your reply to moving iTunes library to an external hard drive: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4594518?tstart=0  However, if I move the iTunes library, will this include all the movies and apps that I have purchased?
    Thanks!!!!

    Logical System Name is defined for which type of Business Sytem ?

    c.WebAs abap

    Thanks

    Hi ,
    Logical System Name is defined for the Business System type WebAS ABAP.
    It is used in ALE scenarios when exchanging IDOCs between the particular system and XI.  The IDOC adapter will pick up the information from the SLD and it can then be used in the configuration in the Communication Channel (Adapter Specific Identifiers).
