While updating to ios7 there was an error and it did not restore my phone, now when i try to restore i get a message i tunes could not restore because back up could not be saved

I was updating my phone to ios7 and due to the lead being pulled it failed during restore, it has ios7 on the phone but everytime i try to restore it so all my pics, apps, music etc is on the phone i get the error message itunes could not restore because back up could not be saved. please help, im using windows xp

I found some steps you can take when your iPhone is not recognized by iTunes when in Recovery Mode. I recommend reviewing the steps in the section titled "If the device is not recognized while in Recovery Mode" under step 5 in the following article:

I was updating to the latest version of IOs 7 last night and when i woke up there had been an error with the update. When I tried to use my iphone the next morning it said there was an error and i needed to restore it. I did and now it is not letting me restore from backup. Firefox was working fine earlier today and now when I try opening it, I get this message: Firefox does not know how to connect to server" and no pages will load. Internet Explorer works fine.

Did Firefox update to 4.0.1?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Disable any antivirus and firewall software on your PC during the update. It can interfere with the authentication process. Kaspersky antivirus may have to be completely removed as it's especially bad about causing this problem.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Maybe this will let the iPad reboot and then you may need to restore again but see if this helps to start the iPad first.

If your phone is in recovery mode, all data are gone. Connect the phone to iTunes on your computer and restore.

Error 11 is a strange one...if you search the discussions for error 11 you will get a number of hits but none with a real resolution other than getting the iPod to restore, which you have done. And one person indicates this does not appear in the support data base...already found that out.
If you have restored, have a backup and can restore from that, you might try the update again, or wait for the next update whenever that comes out.
Not a very satisfactory answer but if it is working again...

However, I should not have to wipe my computer clean everytime I need to do a CC update. HELP!

These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.
