While watching a live program my voice keeps going off and on

while watching a live program, like the news, the sound keeps going off and on sometimes takes a long time to come back on?
I have checked my connections and they are secure so I would appreciate a little help with this, I am not a very smart computer person so have patience please.

Make sure the manual of the monitor says it supports the frequencies you are choosing.
Make sure the amp in use by all devices plugged in does not exceed the amps your circuitbreaker/fuse supports in that portion of the house.

  • C309A keeps going off- and on-line over and over again

I have a new C309A configured to print wirelessly.  Everything installed correctly during setup and all network tests are successful. It worked for a few days but now I can't print since the printer looks to be going offline and then on again constantly (I can actually watch it change status over and over again if the printers folder...).  If I manage to catch it when the printer is showing online I can print, so I know that my computer will talk with the printer.  And I have another computer that prints wirelessly just fine.
I've tried tech support via chat and phone - big waste of time since they obviously have no technical knowledge and are just reading scripts.
I was told by one support contact that there is a fixpack, but it was for another model  (4580 I believe).  He indicated it would work on the C309A as well.  HOWEVER when I downloaded it it of course would not install since I don't have that printer.  I tried all product matches for 4580 (he said he picked the wrong one the first time so I tried again and again.  Each time was just picking the wrong one apparently.  Or could it be that he had no idea what he was talking about?) and none of them would work.  There are no fixpacks for the C309A.
I've seen in other threads that this could be a firewall issue but I'm not so sure.  I've tried disabling mine and still had the issue.
I'm running windows XP professional.  my firewall is symantec.  and my printer is currently a very large and expensive paperweight.
    Anyone have any ideas????????
    This question was solved.

When the printer goes offline, see if you can open the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address.
If you can, then we know communications between the PC and printer are working and that the offline messages are false positive indicators.
Next, I'd like to try a manual installation of the printer queue.  Here's the sequence for Vista:
Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Printer.
Click the 'Add Printer' icon.  The 'Add Printer' dialog box opens.
Click 'Next' button on the 'Welcome to the Add Printer' Wizard dialog box.
Select 'Local printer' in the Local or Network Printer dialog box.
Under Select a Printer Port option, select "Create a new port" and select "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "Next" button.
In the "Welcome to the Add Standard TCP/IP printer port wizard" make sure that the printer is turned on.  Click "Next" button.
Under "Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port" enter the printer's host name that is printed from the printer's netwotrk configuration page.
Now, select HP (not Hewlett-Packard) from the list of manufacturers, select Photosmart C309 from the list of Printer models and click 'Next' button.
The Printer name will be highlighted on the next window.  Click 'Next' button.
It will ask for the Printer name -- leave the default value.
Click 'Yes' for making the printer default.  Click 'Next' button.
The Print Test Page box appears.
Select 'Yes' to print a test page.
Click 'Finish' button to complete the installation.
It should print a test page.
BTW -- what kind of wireless-router do you have?  Also, press and release the <setup> and <#> keys.  This will print an internal connectivity diagnostic report.  Scan and email me the report to my work email:  wireless at hp dot com.

  • Backlight keeps going off and I don't know why

Every time I tilt my screen back, it goes black but my computer is still on. I have to have it probably at around 45 degrees just to have my screen working which is a pain.
    It looks just like this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8SxETWCRH8
Does anyone know why is it doing this and how I can fix it? Also, how much does it cost to get it fixed? Thank so much

Contact Apple or an authorized repair center for repair and it's cost. Nobody here would know.

  • *High Speed Enhanced - DSL Light keeps going off and on, Losing Internet *

    Issues
My DSL light starts flickering and then my internet light goes off. The DSL then comes back on but internet does not reconnect. This happens 3-4 times each hour.
My max download speed is capped at 3MB even though Im available to have 5mb
This has only happened recently i was able to get consistent 5.8 MB download for 9 months.
I've had 2 technicians come in to check my line speed and it both clocked in at 3 MB download. They thought my line i was on was over capacity so they asked them to switch my port. But still seeing the same issue.
Im out of options here, I have a 3rd technician scheduled but im not confident this is going to get fixed. I guess last resort is for them to check the physical line to see if there is something wrong from central office to my residence?I  have to constantly turn off and turn back on the router to get the internet to come back on. This is incredibly frustrating when Im working.  Any suggestions here?
This has been going on for the past month and no end in sight.
    Any help is appreciated.
Download speed various from 1.5 to 3.1 everytime the DSL light goes out the Down and Up changes.

Your noise levels are terrible, something is going on with the line. Your downstream and upstream speeds are not even at max bitrate. For a 3Mbps line, which is the least you should be running on a range extender card, you should be at 3360/864. If the DSL drops out you'll have to reset the modem to get the Internet light back on, either that or logging into 192.168.1.1 and manually reconnecting the line. Bottom line you have an issue with the line, call Verizon and get a service tech out ASAP.

  • I know I've heard that iPads/iPhones can't get viruses but is it possible that they can? While using my iPad, it keeps going in and out of apps. On Facebook, status and profiles keep getting clicked and it keeps zooming in and out. Can anyone help

I Have an iPad mini, iOS 8.1. When I'm on my iPad, it keeps going in and out of random apps. Going to settings is the worse. As soon as I click settings and it opens,it starts clicking different things and tries turning on and off settings! In Facebook, profiles and status get clicked. The screen zooms in and out multiple times. It reminds me of when you call the help desk for a computer or a computer at work and they gain access and move around clicking and you're doing nothing. Basically things are being clicked and I'm not doing it.....can anyone help?

At this point, I would go for reset to its factory default condition, using the iTunes program to get a clean system install. That way you'll clean everything out and just have it set up the way it would come from the factory. You'll need to do your backup (on the iTunes program too) and be sure you understand which stuff will be saved and which will not (from the links below). Also turn off any anti-virus program you may have on your desktop. Then when you reset it to the factory default condition, don't restore your backup just yet ... until you check it out without your data put back on it. Verify its operation first, to make sure that you know it's okay. Hopefully everything is okay at that point, otherwise you'll have to take it into Apple to check it out for any hardware failure.

  • My imac mail keeps going off line and can't send out emails even when it when it comes back on line for a short while

Need help in getting rid of this annoying pop up problem. All my Inbox keeps going off line. Comes back very intermitently.

That can't be it if it is working intermitently.
Actually, more often than not, this is caused by duplicate entries in either Mail's Outgoing SMTP servers, or in Keychain.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it/them, or delete it/them and start over.
Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

  • When I am on a phone call and I double click the button to go to my home screen, then open another application (usually my calendar program, Calengoo), my screen goes blank and I am not able to return to either the app, the phone, or the home screen.

When I am on a phone call and I double click the button to go to my home screen, then open another application (usually my calendar program, Calengoo), my screen goes blank and I am not able to return to either the app, the phone, or the home screen. If I am speaking to a person, if they hang up then I am back to the phone application. If I'm leaving a message, I am unable to return to the phone screen to end the call, and have to wait until the other phone hangs up. I'm also unable to switch back and forth to look at my calendar if I'm calling someone about scheduling. This has only started happening since the most recent iOs update. I run into situations similar to this about once per day during the work week, as I use my phone is this manner quite often. While not life altering it is quite frustrating. Can anyone here help me figure out a way to avoid this? If it helps, I have noticed a general downgrade in overall performance starting two system updates ago (apps opening more slowly, closing unexpectedly more often, etc.). I have an iPhone 3GS with the latest OS update.
Thank you for any help or suggestions,
    Chris

    I could be corrupted backup.
You can check the notification settings for message.
    Settings>Notification Center>Messages>Alert Style
It should be on Banners or Alerts.
Settings>Messages> Turn on Imessage and send as SMS and below that "Blocked" to check if you have any numbers block might be blocking the message.
You can also do a hard reset by holding power and home till it restarts and release after seeing the apple logo.
Still doesn't work? Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings

  • Mac OS X Leopard Mail SMTP server keeps going offline and won't come on

My SMTP in mail on my email accounts keeps going offline and I can't work out how to get it working again. My internet connection is fine. I am receiving emails. I was able to send earlier on my business email account but now my .mac account has gone offline and then my business on went on me.
I only started using my business email account in mail today and loaded the account into mail. Does anyone have any answers for this as I can see there have been some other people who might have had a similar problem but I can't see any fixes?
I have deleted and reloaded both my .mac and work account a couple of times now and restarted my computer but still no good.
    Can anyone help?

I have that offline mail smtp server when I try to send emails from work with my macbook. I've always been able to send emails away from home using the login and password in the smtp configurations. It's a real pain since I use one email account for work and personal business. I can receive email but cannot send any. Everytime I have to answer an email while I'm working, I have to go to the browser, go to my provider's mail page, login and send from there my emails.
Do we have the same problem?
