We are users just like you and would not know why Apple makes teh decisions that they do , nor are we allowed to speculate about it here.

Remember - if you bought any apps with another ID you cannot update them with a different ID.
Try changing the ID in the App Store. Tap on Featured - swipe to the bottom of the screen - tap on the ID in the bottom left corner - and see if you can change it that way.
If that doesn't work, sign out of your account altogether, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
I guess I should ask - what ID is it coming up with and why is it coming up with that ID?

Is it possible to have a window open for my Itunes Library and Itunes store at the same time so that I can toggle back and forth between the two. I want to check my library before I buy songs to make sure that I don't duplicate.

Suggestion - At No 6, after "...section is not checked"., add "If you do not see Ignore ownership on this volume, make sure that you unlocked the lock at bottom right." - it's OK for the techies of the world but many of us need as much info as possible.

Why string arrays not allow in shared variables?
I'm changing a program to replace some global variables with shared variables. The need for an executable is the reason the globals are being replaced with SV's. At least one of the variables is a 2 diminsion array of strings. Under the 'data type' drop down list on the shared variable properties there is no option for an array of strings among the 28 posibilities. Any way this can be accomplished? I'm using version 8.0

I upgraded to 8.5, created a custom control as a 2 diminsional array and made it a shared variable. it works fine in uncompiled mode but when the programs are made executables the array info is not passed. Now I have to say I find the whole compile process with Labview pretty confusing so I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong in that procedure or I am simply misunderstanding this whole data passing concept on some fundemental level. . I have attempted several different compile property setting under the "Source Files" page. Both the write and read programs are in one project along with the custom control and the shared variable. I compile two applications using the write and read vi's as startup files and have included the custom control and the shared variable in the "always included" area. I've tried including the last two files or not including them in the compile and it makes no difference. Setting the variable as 'single process or 'network published' makes no difference either.

This happened with the Messages Beta as well as the full version in Mountain Lion.
In both cases if one device was Off line whilst a conversation was going on the sync process when the device was turned on would not be instant.
It would fill in (sync) more like an only slightly speeded up chat.
Consequently if you were moving from a iPhone conversation to the Mac and turned the Mac On your Contacts new IMs could be mixed up with the Sync info arriving.
At the same time even though the whole IM sending thing is time stamped there appears to be no way that the App or the iPhone or the Mac can recognise the timing and move them into the right order.
There seem to be more reports of the Mac being Off and not updating the conversation properly than there are iPhones doing the same.
That could be done to this area being about the Messages app compared to the iPhone Area.
It could also be down to the way people hold their conversations in the first place.
i.e. we know about it but it is outside our ability to suggest something that fixes this.

Digital I/O why can't I have line outs and line ins in the same application?
I have a problem with my digital lines. I have several "write to digital line" VIs, and I also need some "read from digital line" VIs. My problem is that when I supply 5V to the line in, it doesn't register high. I checked this on a separate program, and when I did not have a "write to digital line" , the "read from digital line" was at 5V (I checked it with a multimeter). As soon as I included a "write to digital line" in the program, the input was jumping around 1.3V. What is the problem here?

I apologize for the delay in responding to your question. You are writing to digital channel 0. This is the same thing as digital port 0. A port is simply a collection of digital lines. Since you are reading and writing to lines 0-7 on channel 0, the Write to Digital Line and Read from Digital Line VIs are resetting the state of the port every time they are called. I notice you have wired a 0 to the iteration count of all the write VIs, but nothing to the read VIs. To fix this problem,
Wire a 1 to the iteration input of all the write VIs except for one. This last VI you can either wire a 0, or leave it unwired as 0 is the default.
Wire a 1 to the iteration input of all the read VIs.
I have m
odified your VI in this way and attached it below. Ideally, you would want to write to a line with 0 for the iteration count only once (outside the loop). The modified VI will do it at the beginning of every loop iteration. I have tested it here and it seems to work without problems. The reason for the modification is that both the high level read and write VIs reset the port when they are called unless you wire a nonzero number to the iteration input. This effectively tells the VI that the port has been initialized and it can skip it.

Why am I not allowed to buy Logic Pro X even though I have enough App Store credit to do so?
I have US$ 215 worth of giftcard credit on my account, more than enough to purchase Logic Pro X. The problem comes when I hit the "Buy app" button because it keeps getting me to update my billing info. I select "None" since I don't own a credit card, and then it tells me my purchase could not be completed due to "insufficient remaining store credit". I want to know what's going on because that money is absolutely valid to apple, it's money I spent in order to increase my iTunes/Appstore account's credit and I intend to purchase Logic Pro X with it. Help, please?
Did you redeem the gift card to your account? If so, if you log into your account information, do you actually see the gift card there? If so, you would need to contact the App Store support team.

Yes.
On their iOS devices, under Settings>iTunes & App Store, they should use your Apple ID. When they log into iCloud, iMessage and Facetime, they should use their personal Apple IDs. -
