Why are my alerts not working? Sometimes the alerts work and other times I have to manually retrieve messages.

You can set alerts at verizonwireless.com, and you can set alerts on most smartphones as well, and those can be highly customized as to when you are alerted.
Go to settings, data usage, and there are/should be options to view, limit, and alert you as to your mobile data usage on the phone itself.

Go to Settings>Sounds - go to the bottom of the screen, and make sure your Lock Sounds and Keyboard Clicks are turned to "On". Also, if they are already on that setting, turn them off and back on again to see if that fixes the issue.
If it doesn't, then reset your iPad (no data will be lost). Press the Home and Power buttons at the same time and hold them both down until the Silver Apple appears. After the Home screen comes back up, see if your issue is resolved.

TS1559 why are 4s's not working with new software and apple won't come good

I have a iphone 4s with the new update is making my phone slow and the wifi is not working. 200.00 to fix it. I have apple laptop, desktop, 4 iphones two 4s and two 5c's and they will not fix what their update did to my phone. Any feed back to help resolve this would be appreciated. I put it in the freezer( an online solution), restarted it to factory settings, reset my wifi and nothing everyone one says there are many 4s's that are doing this since the new software. Sounds like they just want you to buy new phones and my contract is not up for one year with my provider, I am very frustrated and disappointed.

No intelligetent person puts electronics in the freezer.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). If none of this resolves, then the device should be taken to Apple for evaluation.
If Apple determines the device has suffered a hardware failure, they will either replace under warranty (if under warranty) or offer an Out of Warranty replacement.
So what exactly is the problem? They offered an Out of Warranty replacement for the defective device.

Why are some Hyperlinks not working in FF but do work in IE

when I open any website,especially ones like Screwfix and it says click to enlarge, nothing happens yet if I click on a link to another page it goes there or if it is a link to further down the text.
it also happens on a banking site . in the header it has 'help' this does not work,yet if I go to the help in the body of the site and click on help it goes there. all these sites work OK in IE. this has only started since I updated to 3.6.

The key here is that something in Lion is corrupting the font cache for Safari. One could jump ship and simply use Firefox or Chrome and wait until AAPL fixes Safari or whatever is causing the issue. I was thinking that finally letting FontAgent Pro start managing the System Fonts might do the trick but there's a bug there that won't let me authorize the caper. So, now I gotta engage Insider over that issue.
What I might do is to see what Font Book can do for a minute…

Why are moving menus not working in build?

Recently, whenever I've tried creating a moving menu by putting tracks into drop zones, the project simulates fine, but the menus don't work when they're built. I've checked the VOB files and the problem is definitely there – it's nothing to do with the player.
Today I created a simple project by automatically creating chapter menus and using several of the Apple templates, to create three menus for three tracks. The only elements I imported were three video tracks and their accompanying audio tracks. None of the menus works when built: one of them (using the 'City' template) is completely blank, in one ('Leader') the template's moving background doesn't work, but the clips in the buttons work, and in the third ('Filmstrip') the button highlights work, but the buttons are blank where the clips should be.
I've also tried creating my own moving menu design, using drop zones that I've made, and the same thing happens. Yet in a previous version of DVD Studio Pro I've created similar menus that work perfectly.
Has something broken in vsn 4.1.0? Anybody any ideas why this is happening.

Why are my floats not working?

Once again, I'm puzzled!
Here I have two examples:

On the first one, the floats for the divs that contain the images are working great.
But on the second one, the images don't float at all.
What puzzles me the most is that on both pages the images should have the same css applied to them (I actually made the second link by saving the first page with a new name), yet on the first example everything works but with the second link, nothing floats.
It must be something obvious, but I can't figure it out!
Any help will be highly appreciated!

You might also consider using a class rather than an id on each of those wrapper divs.
These two selectors:
.product_wrapper_left{
     width:200px;
     float:left;
     margin-left:50px;
.product_wrapper_right{
     width:200px;
     float:left;
     margin-left:50px;
could replace all those ones with ids.
btw, I am not quite sure that you need to alternately float left/right. This ought to work easily simply floating them all left, using just the first class above.

Why are flash games not working properly on Firefox, while they work perfectly on other browsers?

I own a MacBook os x 10.5.8 Intel core duo.
My problem started a few weeks ago, I tried playing a flash game, first it came up that i didnt have flash, which I did, so I ran an update but I already had the latest version.
I gave up on the games on that page and went to newgrounds.com, but turns out everytime I try to play a game the controls wont work properly on any game.
I thought it might be my flash, so I went to chrome and played the same game, no problems, to opera, no problems, to safari also no problems. So the problem is my firefox and the flash plug in? I already uninstalled it and re installed it, downloaded it again and followed every piece of advice I could find about this, nothing works.
I appreciate some help with this matter, I like working with firefox, wouldnt want to change to other browsers.

Hi gorgonzola357, there are some platform-specific differences between Windows 7 and MacOSX that may be relevant.
Have you tried disabling the new protected mode in Flash 11.3, since that feature is currently being debugged? Why are my chapters not working?

I've marked my chapters in FCX in the correct place in the time line. Have ticked the right box while exporting file. They work fine in the preview of iDVD.
I have four video files added to my iDVD project.
Once burnt, and the disc is played back, when one skips forward or back chapters instead of going to the next chapter, it skips to one of the other video files instead.
How do I get it to use the chapters I've set it.

In FCE make sure nothing is selected in the timeline before exporting
In the Chapter Marker submenu do NOT erase the <Chapter> slug; it doesn't show up in the chapter title but it must be there
When exporting from FCE try exporting as DVD Studio Pro markers (if it gives you that option) just for a change
In iDVD I believe there is a Preference setting to make sure it recognizes chapter markers; check for that

Why are my browsers not working properly?

I have Chrome, Safari and Firefox installed on my iMac but for the last three weeks all three of them are malfunctioning. Some pages will not open at all, some will open but with no pictures. Some of the sites mainly affected seem to be Fox News, Facebook, DrudgeReport plus others. Has me baffled. Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me.

Please complete your profile, at the very least we need to know what version of OS X is installed on the computer. You can edit your profile by clicking Your Stuff in the upper right of this page then clicking Profile and edit as needed.
If you are running SL or Lion the problem may be that Adobe Flash is not installed. It doesn't sound like you have done any troubleshooting so in Safari please click Safari-Empty Caches and Safari-Reset Safari.

Why are the rules not working correctly?

I have a rule, for example, that recognizes emails coming From: my address (a copy coming in from a forum) and also To: the forum address. It does 3 things to the message:
1. puts in on a folder in Mail (folder created for that purpose).
2. puts background color into the message.
3. sets it as "read".
What has been happening of late, is that the first 2 steps happen, but no number 3. Used to work. Seems like a problem since the OS upgrade. Anyone else seeing this?

Unless you're using iTunes on your computer to update, you should update only one app at a time. If you have a bunch of apps in "Waiting" state, click all them to get them to "Paused". Then, one at a time, click one to get it to Downloading, then Installing, and finally Open. Then repeat on the next app, etc.

Why are animated gifs not displaying animations in the preview?
My coworkers and I are not seeing a animation in the preview pane in Adobe Bridge CS6 even when clicking the play button in the preview window. However, we do see a graphic of the first frame and one person sees 1 frame when clicking play and one other frame and then the animation stops, however, that is not the complete animation.
I'm using Windows 7 32 bit
My coworkers are using a mac.
One coworker has apple OS Mountain Lion with a Intel Quad-Core Xeon – 64 bit system.
Is this fixable or in the works as a patch? Otherwise we have to open these docs in a browser in order to view them properly.

I've just come to the realization that some animated gifs do play fine and others do not. A coworker of mine suggests that if it's an animation made via Adobe Photoshop, it'll work in bridge but will not if it's made using something else.

Only i shaw those parameters which i used in my stored procedure, the parameter which i create dynamic using stored procedure
is not shown to me when i referesh the report for viewing the results.
I have used the same procedure which i mention below but can not seen the last screen which is shown in this .

My question is that whether dynamic parameter is working with storedprocedure or not.
When i added one table and try to fetch records using dyanmic prameters. after that i am not be able to find the dynamic parameter option when i referesh my report.
One more thing when i try the static parameter for my report, the option i see when i referesh the screen.

I have tested the issue step by step by following you description, while the first issue works well in my local environment. Based on my research, this can be caused by the lookup expression or it indeed return Male value based on the logic. If you use the
expression below, it will indeed only return the Male record. So please try to double-check the record in the two datasets and the expression in your environment:
=lookup(first(Fields!ProgramID.Value,"DataSet1"),Fields!ProgramID.Value,Fields!Gender.Value,"DataSet2")
As to the second issue, please try to use the following expression:
=Count(Lookup(fields!ProgramID.value,fields!ProgramID.value,fields!Gender.value,"DataSet2"))
