Why do we need a disabled AD object prior to migrating user from one domain to another.
Say i am migrating a user 'Mr.A' mailbox from abc.com to xyz.com in exchange 2010 environemnt, why do i need a disabled AD object for Mr. A in xyz.com prior to migrating ? please suggest.

Hi ,
To be frank i am not aware of quest but i can suggest you in ADMT and also in exchange cross forest migration.
I hope you are doing the cross forest migration from exchange forest to exchange forest , so on such case by using the prepare-moverequest.ps1 we can have
only have the disabled MEU on the target exchange forest until the remaining attributes of the user object was migrated from ADMT.
While running the prepare-moverequest.ps1 it will not completely move all the active directory user attributes from the source forest to the target forest
but it will move all the exchange attributes to the target forest and finally it will make the MEU object in the disabled state. Since
all the exchange attributes are already migrated to the target forest ,so prior to use ADMT user account migration we need to exclude the exchange attributes
by running the script on the ADMT server .After doing so exchange attributes will not be migrated but the required user attributes will be migrated to make the MEU to the enabled state.

I have a spreadsheet that has headers. I need to move all of the objects on this exception report to the proper OU (all going to the same OU).
The header that validates the need to move is called "Display Name".
The process now is as follows.
1) Copy displayname
2) Open AD search
3) enter display name in find box
4) locate object
5) right click object in results and click move.
6) move to the OU "Home.test.com/uk Online/Users OU/Business Process"

Thanks for any help, there is about 4K lines on this sheet and it normally takes about 25 days of "busy work" to accomplish this, then 5 days later I have to re-run the report and start over.

Do you have to use the display name property? That's not guaranteed to be unique, so you might run into problems. The script above will not attempt to move the user if more than one is returned by the command.
EDIT: I've also added -WhatIf to Move-ADObject. Now the command won't actually move your users, it will just tell you about it. Remove it if you're happy with the output.

If I copy and paste text from one note to another, it pastes in at the current Dynamic Type size but is no longer adjustable. I have tons of notes with various fixed size text. Is there a way to reset all the text in the Apple Notes App to Dynamic Type so they can be adjusted using the font size slider in settings?
When you use IMAP, as opposed to "On my Mac," Notes will create a folder called "Notes" on the mail server. It will then store notes in there. If you create subfolders in Notes (which you can do), those will be stored as subfolders of Notes on the server.
So in the case of Gmail, you should be able to log onto your Gmail web account and the notes should probably show up in "All my Mail" with a label of Notes (this is because Gmail's IMAP implementation is VERY nonstandard and it doesn't actually support folders; it uses labels instead). If you view the Notes label in Gmail's web interface you should see all your notes.
Because of Gmail's IMAP implementation you should be very careful not to remove the "Notes" label from any of your notes if you're in the web interface, or they will disappear from the Notes app on OS X itself. -
Is there any way to disable the objects owned by a user?

I had created 60 users granting them connect and resource privileges in oracle(8.1.5.0.0).All of the users are working under their logins(users)...Every thing is going fine...But now i wanted to disable the objects owned by those users
(60 Users) for a period of 2 days,After that i wanted to enable them....Is there any way to disable the objects owned by them with out dropping the users?(The users should be able to work as prevoiusly on the new objects they will create after i disabled the objetcts owned by them previously)?hi
if my understanding is right you want to disable the users for 2 days for any reason let say he is on holiday for 2 days then why dont u lock this user and submit the job for unlock after two days.

You are trying to make an instance of a class which has no constructor?
You are trying to move a Panel (an Applet is a subclass of Panel) in another Panel (in Test class?)
Keep in mind that the Panel automatically has flow layout. In flow layout the components are sized to minimum size, and if the component is another Panel, the minimum size is 0 if there are no components in it.
Do you need both applets open at once?
Why not just copy this paint code into your test class?
Also note that you CAN copy the Graphics from one component onto another, but the Graphics object cannot be null, or you will get a NullPointerException... which is what will happen if you try to copy it in the init() of your test class.
Why not just make your car a Component (or a Panel even) and give it a constructor? (And make sure to set minimum size to something other than zero?)

I started importing all my pictures into Aperture and have been debating whether to use a managed or referenced library. I'm leaning toward referenced, but before import everything that way, I do a couple of "test drives".
In Aperture, I moved a photo from one project to another expecting that the jpeg in finder would move from the original folder to the new one, but it didn't. Anyone know why? Is there a way to make this happen? Is it bad that I want this to happen? Should I just use a managed library. I like having control of the actual files (thus wanting to go with a referenced library).

Mark, Aperture does not store the originals organized by project, but by the date of the Import Session. So moving an image to a different project will not change, were the original file is stored.
This has a big advantage for backing up the originals. If they never move or change, you do not have to backup the originals other than directly after importing, if your library is referenced. And even incremental backups of a managed library are quicker.
Is there a way to make this happen?
You can always use the command "File > Relocate" to move the original files anywhere you want.

If it is bad, will depend on why you want to have control of your originals. If you just want to know where they are, it is o.k., or if you don't have enough space on the drive with the library and need to split the library across several drives. But it would be bad to move, edit, or access the referenced originals in any way. Let Aperture do the handling, or you will be risking broken references.
Aperture has several buil-in ways to show you the original: The "M" key will switch the Browser to the original, "File > Export > Original" will give you an exact copy of the original, or you can relocate the file to another folder. I simply open the aperture Library in iPhoto, when I want to view my managed originals. iPhoto has a command "File > Reveal in Finder > Original" that will show you also the managed originals in the "Masters" folder inside the Aperture/iPhoto Library package.

Using the content aware move tool, I want to move an item from one image to another image but it does not seem to work. I think I need two layers on one document so how do I do this

A simple Paste does not work for you?
It should place the clipboard content as a new Layer which you can then move around.
If there is any chance that the elements need to be scaled, rotated etc. I would prefer to place them as Smart Objects (File > Place …) and do the masking that is specific to the images themselves in those.

Moving objects from one page to another

I need to move an image from one page to another...
For example, on page 1, I have one image that needs to shifted to 5th page of the document. Is that possible?
VandyI will suggest the duplicate() method instead of the move() here.
Advantage: the position of the object on page 5 will be same as the original one:
var doc = app.activeDocument;
// "r" is the graphic frame containing the image
var r = app.selection[0];
//The duplicate() method will maintain position of the object as long it is NOT an anchored object.
r.duplicate(doc.pages[4]);
//Get rid of the original

I'm using Final Cut Pro Trial. Why can't I open a final cut project from one computer in another computer? When I try to open the project on my desktop it doesn't recognize the format. Please help!
I downloaded FCPX trial on my laptop as well as on my desktop. I did some editing on my laptop but I need to get the project I created on my laptop onto my desktop. When I import the project onto my desktop the videos are Red and they say "Missing File."

Can no longer paste objects from one lesson to another (Captivate 4)
Hello folks,
Until a few moments ago, I was able to copy elements (a combination of Captivate objects including text box, icon, and a text caption) from one lesson to another lesson (in a separate copy of Captivate 4). As a result of the copy/paste, I had a duplicate group of objects, complete with the same settings and x/y coordinates.
But suddenly, the only option I have after copying, is "Paste as image". Clearly, that is not what I want... I used to see "Paste Object".
Can anyone explain why I can no longer copy/paste objects?
BTW, I can still copy/paste within the same lesson.... but I can no longer copy/paste to a different lesson.

Hello All
How do i reference a Textbox of a Grid object from one tile to another tile? I've 6 tiles in a tileset.
Tile-1 has a "Complete" button when that button is clicked i want to loop through a values in a Grid object from Tile-3. Is that possible? I'm using Mobile Application Studio 4.0

Please note that the deletion needs to be done bottom-up because of a refresh of the
indexing after deleting of objects in the collection.
The refresh of the grid is done automatically because of the data binding.

I have a common jar file which will communicate to the server for data validation purpose.But after validation it has to invoke different different jar file based on its response from the server.So, I might have a object which has to pass from the common jar file to a specific jar file.So, I like to know what will be the best procedure to achieve it.

I need a solution for this very urgently.Are you looking for a plug-in framework? That is, dynamically discovering and loading plugins. I am not experienced in developing or using plugins. However Googling "java plugin" brings up JPF.
If you just have multiple jars that have different classes, the JVM will load the appropriate classes if it can find the jars through the standard classloader on the classpath or through a customer classloader.
