Why I can't update Mail from 4.5 to 5?

I use Mail 4.5 and this is, denifitively, a poor client.
Why I can't have Mail 5, in order to try something better?

You'll have to wait for Lion this summer. Then you can use Mail 5.

i wonder why i failed to send "MAIL FROM:" while commnunicating with the server using SMTP protocol?
my code is:

Wouldn't it be easier to just use the JavaMail API rather than
writing your own SMTP protocol support?
What message does the server include with its response?

You can only update a device to the highest iOS version that it supports, which for an iPad 2 is 7.0.4
What happens when you follow the instructions on the page that you posted from ?
To update, connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad via File > Devices > Back Up.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand sidebar, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

You don't delete the App Store. That's where you get your apps. It's not a delectable app.
You delete the app that needs an update. Then you redownload the app from the App Store.
Example: I'm trying to update 'Angry Birds'. But I can't seem to update it for some reason. So, I delete the Angry Birds app, then go to the App Store and search for it again (or go into 'Updates > Purchased') and download a fresh copy.

Are you trying to update OTA (over the air) on the iPad itself? To do so, you need to have iOS 5.x or above installed. The OTA update feature was added with this version. If you are running below iOS 5.x, you need to use your PC to update the iPad to the newest iOS 7.
Check your iOS version: Settings>General>About
The number displayed under "Version" is your current iOS version.

Is your profile signature "Mac OS X (10.6.8)" still current? With that MacOS X version you can upgrade to iPhoto 9.2.x. Only, the iPhoto version 9.5.1 currently sold at the AppStore requires MacOS X 10.9.x. If you you are not running Mavericks, you could try to buy a boxed retail version of iLife '11. That will have a compatible early iPhoto 9.x version.
