Why no interface mapping?

Hi Xier,
Secnario as following:
1. JDBC sender send message to BPM.
2. BPM call Sync ABAP Proxy
3. BPM get proxy response
4. BPM use JDBC receiver write data back to DB.
So we need to define interface Determination for step 1.
we input Inbound Interface, but the interface mapping is optional, which show "Not Specified" in Receiver determination.
My question is why here don't need to input interface mapping, this interface mapping should transform JDBC sender interface structure to BPM's abstract interface structure. Why it's not mandatory?

Hi,
Since the Message type of both the Inbound Interface and the Abstract Interface are same it is not mandatory to do mapping explecitly.

  • Interface Mapping Not Found in Integration Directory

    Hey guys!
I'am getting this error in the test configuration part of the integration directory:
"Interface Mapping: <Not Found> com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException thrown during application mapping"
I don't see why I should be getting this error since I have properly defined a message and interface mapping for the receiving interface.
BTW,  I get this error when I use XSLT mapping. If I point my interface mapping to a normal message mapping, I get no error. Is there anything I am missing?
    Regards,
    Glenn

The weird thing is that when I test the the configuration in the Integration Directory, it is still looking for my old message mapping (the one i created using xi editor) even though I already replaced the referenced message mapping in the interface mapping to the XSL one.
Yes, I tested the interface mapping with the same data using the XSL mapping and there's no problem.
When I send the message though, I get an error saying "NO_RECEIVER_CASE_ASYNC" I really don't see why it should not recognize the receiver. I tried refreshing the cache but it still looks for my old mapping program...

  • Interface mapping in BPM

    hey guys
i was just wondering why in a BPM scenario we have to do interface mapping between outbound(or inbound) and abstract interface, whereas in a regular scenario(without BPM) we do it between outbound and inbound interfaces?is it just because BPM only understands abstract interface?
    thanx

    Hi,
It is receiver Data Type , Since  in this scenerio  the sender  is IDOC  and recevier  is Flat file , We have declare the data type . for sender  we are importing the IDOC..for receiver we have declare the data type.
    >>DT_S47,DT_S68 etc and then she is using them in the 'Type' field. --YES in receiver side.

  • Without BPM:Call RFC using JCO in interface mapping using java mapping

    Hi all
I have a very small scenario where REQUEST from the customer comes via Web Service all i have to do is to read the request using SOAP adapter and call an interface mapping(lets say the name is IM_TEST) inside which there is a JAVA MAPPING program written which will call an RFC in CRM using JCO.
Now this was really simple and i cud test the Interface mapping successfully, but the problem is when loading the scenario in integration directory i have certain things to do
    1. to set the SENDER AGREEMENT which i did correctly
    2. set the RECEIVER DETERMINATION, INTERFACE DETERMINATION AND RECEIVER AGREEMENT now here i am stuck because there is no receiver in my case as the RFC is called inside the mapping only.
can i call one more message mapping in IM_TEST which will write file onto the XI directory and then in RECEIVER DETERMINATION, INTERFACE DETERMINATION AND RECEIVER AGREEMENT i can mention the reciever as FTP.
I tried it but i gives the following error
Runtime exception occurred during execution of application mapping program com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_TEST_WRITE_FILE: com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException; Parsing an empty source. Root element expected!
Please help me how to complete the scenario so that customer can run it end to end.

What do i do then...actually this is the project requirement. They want a very fast response from PI and thats why they wnt us to omit BPM and the Graphical mapping from the scenario.
I am able to test the interface mapping which calls the the Java mapping inside which there is an RFC call, but i cannot implement it end - to - end as there is no receiver business system in this case. The only business system i have is the SOAP sender.
I am really troubled now, please help me with a solution.
Is there any other possible way through which the process can become very fast whic hcan meet their requirement.

  • Interface Mapping not supported in the JPA specification?

Are there any plans to add Interface support in the JPA specification? It is not supported by JPA annotations, which seems quite disruptive to proper object oriented design. However, individual implementations of JPA seem to support this:
    http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/stable/core/reference/en/html_single/#inheritance-tableperclass
    http://wiki.eclipse.org/Using_EclipseLink_JPA_Extensions_%28ELUG%29#How_to_Use_the_.40VariableOneToOne_Annotation
There is visible interest in getting this implemented at an Annotation level for Hibernate also but the developers for Hibernate point out that this isn't even in the JPA specifications.
    http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/ANN-9
    https://forum.hibernate.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=941363&sid=4abdbc72cbf04380f4a8e2cadd7dfada&start=15
Is this being talked about/in the works for JPA? Why not include @VariableOneToOne in the spec? It would seem to be quite an essential feature for wide adoption.

    Hi,
You can only choose the Interface mapping for the Enhanced recevier determination in the extended tab of Receiver determination. & I dont see the Interface mapping in the select list.
Where do I have to check for the proper outbound message???

  • BPM Error in Transformation Step: Interface Mapping not found

    Hi,
Can you help me on this? I have a tranformation step in my BPM that combines a request and response message of a previous Send step to create a Source message for the next Send step. However, on my transformation step, I got the mapping error in workflow log: Interface mapping http://gl.euhreka.com/learning/skillsoft/catalogSy.YGLXI_OM_MergeRequestAndHandleResponseAB_To_PollFo (SWCV=DF8549309ECE11DFB58DF3570A341E0F) not found

  • Interface Mapping not found error

I'm getting "Interface Mapping <name> (SWCV=<id>) not found" error during runtime. I did not do anything to the specified interface mapping. If I go into the repository and put into modify mode, add space to description, save, activate, it all works fine. Any idea why my interface mappings are getting "lost" in the runtime cache... any way to do a bulk reload of repository objects into the runtime cache?

    Hi Tadd,
It may help to eliminate the possible erros:
    1) In the Runtime Workbench, simulate the message in the Component Monitoring / Adapter Engine. If this does not work:
    2) Try to restart the JVM. I have seen sometimes that the mapping functions stored as Java files do not get refreshed.
    Cheers,

  • ** Interface Mapping - No Objects Found - IDoc is receiver

    Hi Friends,
In our scenario, sender is File & receiver is IDoc. For each record in file, we need to created one IDoc.  IDoc is CREMAS.CREMAS05.  For this as usual we exported XSD and changed the occurrence of IDOC node as minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"  (as explained in Michael Blog - 2762) and did the message mapping successfully.
While create Interface Mapping, (Message interface (OB) for File, no message interface for IDoc, we directly use CREMAS.CREMAS05 in the target interface) and 'Read Interfaces' and select the Message Mapping option' it shows 'No Objects Found'.  What could be the problem ?
Note that earlier it was working fine (Some times ago), now it is showing this error 'No Objects Found".  I am very confused why this error is coming.
Kindly help me friends, to solve this.
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

    Friends,
Thanks for all your reply. When we click Read messages button automaticlly our source message (type) and target message (type) will be selected. Then, we select Mapping Program which is suitable for the Source & Target Message. When we do like this, it is showing the error 'No Objects Found'.
I want to check with you Is this due to what reason ? (Because, earlier it was working fine)
Eventhough we select 'Any' to 'Any' and select the mapping, save. After that If we do consistency check , it will show an warning message about the namespace issue.

  • Missing Interface mapping in XI Configuration

    Hi all,
I am learning the IDOC XI File Scenario using BPM.
In the design part I have created message Interfaces as
    Abstract Asyn -
    IDOC
    inbound Asyn------(Inbound Interface)
    Asynch Abstract----
    Inbound.
Did the message mapping between IDOC and Abstract Asyn IDOC and
Abstract Asyn IDOC and Asynch Abstract(Inbound).
    In the Configuration of XI:
    First Reciever Determination
    service -SAP system
    Interface - IDOC
    Reciever -BPM business service
    Interface -IDOC abs asyn
Interface mappings - IDOC and Abstract Asyn IDOC
    Second Reciever Determination:
    service -BPM
    Interface -Inbound Abst Asyn
    Reciever-business service for File
    Interface -inbound Asyn
But the Interface mappings I cannot able to configure it as it is not recognised (No object found error ).
    How to solve this?
    Need help........!
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Did you create an Interface mapping between Idoc interface and Inbound interface ?.
if so it will appear over there.
BTW, why are you using BPM here? Are you collecting the idocs ? if so the mapping should come inside the BPM.
If it is a simple Idoc to FIle scenario using BPM then
You need to have one Inbound Aysnc Interface. One Idoc Abstract Interface.
Check this blog for simple case-

  • Message mapping crashes only in INterface Mapping

    hi guys,
i have an issue with one of my interface mapping. the message mapping crashes when i run the interface mapping. however when i run the message mapping separately it works fine.
    any hints?
    thanks,
    ali.

    Hi Ali,
If you are using try catch then in case of catch condition if you pass null to substring it will fail.. Either you call the substring inside your udf (so that you can make sure that the filename is available then only substring is called) else handle the null condition in message mapping before calling substring...
Also you can try looking into the display queue entry for substring in Message Mapping for further analysis. Here also you will not get any filename by dynamic configuration, but i am not sure why it was not failing there.. May be display queue will help you.

  • Use of Orders05 Interface mapping & XSLT mapping file for Orders03 IDOC

    Hello Experts,
In a scenario we are sending Purchase orders and Purhase Order change from SAP to SNC through XI.
Currently Orders03 IDoc is used and standard mapping for Orders03 XSLT is used.
Now the requirement is to use the same IDOC (Orders03) but
    - XSLT mapping (OrdersOrders05_ReplenishmentOrderNotification) and
    - Interface Mapping (OrdersOrders05_ReplenishmentOrderNotification_01) of Orders05.
    What changes would be necessary
    - On SAP side,
    - in the XSLT mapping, and
    - On XI side.
    Thanks in advance,
    Suraj

    Hi Suraj,
First compare ORDERS03 IDOC and ORDERS05 IDoc structures,if both structures are same then u no ned to chnage the XSL it will work fine.
If any chnages in ORDERS05 Idoc then u have to adjust XSLT as per ORDERS05 IDOC.
test interface mapping first and let me know if any error.

    Raj

  • ERROR WHILE USING XSLT MAPPING IN INTERFACE MAPPING

    Hi,
We are using an xslt mapping in our scenario but while i load the XSLT mapping in the interface mapping i get a message :
Transformer configuration exception occurred when loading XSLT
    sorce interface :outbound and asyncronous.
mapping : XSLT mapping (imported as a zip file)
    target interface: abstract,asyncronous.
The xslt runs well in standalone and its well formed and there is no name space issue.
please help if any one has faced such a situation while using XSLT mapping.
    regards,
    Anirban.

    Hi Anirban
When you say it runs well <i>standalone</i> what exactly do you mean? Which XSLT processor are you using to run it? There are subtle difference between XSTL processors that can sometimes result in incompatibilities. For instance, I have seen XSLTs run correctly in XMLSpy but incorrectly (or at least slightly differently) in XI.

  • Problem In Interface Mapping

    Hi,
I am having an Interface Mapping involving two mapping programs in the following sequence:
    1) Message Mapping
    2) Java Mapping
There are two Message Interfaces on the source side and one MI on the target side. Now the problem is that only the Java mapping is getting executed not the Message Mapping.
    Please note the following points:
    1) There is no error while executing the Interface Mapping.
    2) The Message Mapping is getting executed perfectly.
Please let me know what could be the possible error.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek.

    Hi Abhishek,
As you said you have two source structure and one target structure.
after executing the first mapping output is not same as the input required by the second mapping.
Also keep in mind that you can not persist the message here so the output of first mapping should not modify the structure. You can anly modify the values.
you can confirm the same with some dummy scenario
    Thanks
    Sunil Singh
