Why not at least let us go back to 8.1? The .1 that worked?

My ipod is my life and I need to sync daily. And the genius bar couldnt even help me today. Thats an hour drive for nothing.

Here the steps that I did...
I downloaded the app.
I then uninstalled all the Apple applications (iTunes, Quicktime, MobileMe, Bonjiour, Updates, etc.).
I had to delete the files in the iTunes folder (iTunes Library.itl, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Genius.itdb, and iTunes Music Library.xml). I don't know if I needed to delete all of them, but I know that the the iTunes Library.itl file is definitely a problem. When I upgraded to 8.2, it updated this file and essentially forced me to delete it and rebuild my music library. This is where my files were located:
C:\Documents and Settings\RoIverse\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Also, remember to reboot your PC after all of the uninstalls. I also reset my iPod Touch (not a restore, as the above helped me avoid this, so I did not loose the data on the iPod Touch... though I did have to rebuild the music library.
It was a pain, but certainly worth it to hook up my iPod Touch and have instant connectivity. I don't think I forgot anything, but these are the key things.
One last bit of advice... back up all of your data before you begin, so you can restore the data and music and data.

maybe i am saying it wrong..when i press alt+tab there is only one firefox open..but in windows 7 in the taskbar..every tab open..appears as another window open

If you are referring to taskbar previews, you can turn them off by modifying a hidden preference.

Do you need to login to access that website?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

I update recently my OS to Yosemite and decided to use Safari again as my web browser (I was using Chrome). Some of the sites I need to access for professional reasons are not available with safari. I receive the message: "403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.". I believe there is a pattern here, they are all sites publish with IIS with SSL and build with ASP.NET.
I can access them with Chrome (on OS X) or with Internet Explorer (with my Windows VMs).
I've already cleared all saved passwords, cookies, history, etc...the problem remains. I'm sure this is a known problem, but all the answers I've found on the internet were for things like DNS and unavailability of the site. The sites are working fine and I can access them with Chrome.
Can anybody help me? An explanation would also be nice :-) Something to do with Microsoft Authentication methods ?

How do I get the old java version (the one that worked) back

I just did the lastest OSX upgrade. OSX 10.7.   It did a few things to Java.
1) It removed the Utility to select a Java version to run (umm, so how am I supposed to pick Java 1.5 for some old Java 1.5 apps?)
2) It made some Java 1.6 applications that I need on my desktop to do my job not work.   Anyone heard of ScrumWorksPro.? Barfing on a laf.jar that's missing from the new 1.6 version
I can't seem to 'downgrade' back to the version that worked.   Does anyone have the zip file of the old version of Java that worked? If so, where do I unzip it to.   I'm fine with launching my app from a terminal, I just need the jvm files so I can. Looks like the installer (or my attempts to get rid of the new version by doing rm -r on every Java dir I could find) has gotten rid of the old version of Java.   I just can't seem to find the installer or the zip files to get the old version.

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload (refresh) buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, Control-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. So what? The second-hand shop you bought it from didn't follow the right procedures. You also didn't follow the right procedures to make sure that iPhone was not in Activation Lock. Only a proof of purchase from the ORIGINAL retail store would do any good at all. Return the device to where you bought it and demand your money back. Ask the people running the store; that error generally means that you tried to do something they don't allow or something's wrong on their end.
