Window Popup for each menu :(

Hi,
I have a randum behaviour regarding the menu clicking.
Sometime when I click on the menu (standard or not) the iviews are showing me up into a new windows with the portal in that windows. It drives me crazy because it is rundom and i do not have clues.
I've already check the parameters of the iViews but it is OK.
I assume it is a network issue, but I do not know where to look at !

Or else you can try the follwoing option, may be your work protect mode is enabled just deactive it
You can set the default work protect mode in the epcfloader service configuration.
Go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> Service Configuration, and edit the epcfloader service configuration.
Set it to 2
Change the workprotect.mode.default to the setting you like:
1 = Protect unsaved data by opening a new browser window (standard setting)
2 = Unsaved data is lost
3 = Required behavior can be selected each time the popup appears
If you don't want your users to be able to override this setting in personalization dialog, set workprotect.mode.personalize=off.

I asked this in the Spry forum, and not sure I understand the answer. Plus, I should have been more specific in asking how to do it, as I'm still pretty new to this stuff. Nothing I'd found indicated it could be done, or how.

I know you can apply a background image to the menu bar items, but is it possible to add a background image for each individual item? What I'm basically trying to keep are the effects (bevel/emboss, etc.,) that I attached to the text, when I created it in PS CS4.

Yes you can. The widget is just normal plain html markup so you can just add other classNames or id attributes to the elements. And style the elements through those classes/ids.
Does this mean I'd have to write a new rule for each menu item? What?

I'd like separate window tabs for each new window I open

My windows are consolidated in one master tab in the tray at the bottom of my screen. When I open a new one, it adds it there and adds to the number showing how many active windows I have open. I want each window to have it's own separate tab in my tray. I can't seem to find a way to do that.

Tabs: Used to have separate tabs for each window, now they 'bunch up'

Previously, I would open a window, and for each a separate identified tab would appear at the bottom of my screen. Now they bunch up and appear as one tab showing like "2 Firefox" or "4 Firefox". Not very helpful with open windows and trying to move from one to the other.
How do I get back to separate identified tabs for open windows??

You need to change that in the Properties of the Windows Taskbar.

Menubar load modules for each sub-menu

I am creating an application using the MENUBAR but cannot get a module to open when a sub-menu is clicked. I have stripped my app down to bare bones to eliminate other factors. The menubar has several main options, such as, Button1, Button2, Button3 and then each has a sub-menu dropdown. If Button1 has Button1Sub1 and Button1Sub2 dropdowns I want to have a different module launch when either of the sub-menus are clicked.
I have been successful in using ModuleManager to open a particular module referencing the creationComplete="moduleLoadHandler()" but not by selecting a menu item from the menubar. My application needs to be as user-friendly and Windows-like as possible. There are many different modules which need to be loaded and unloaded.
I have attached a screenshot image of my project tree and circled the ActionModule.swf file to show its location.

   I am also doing the same way, but ended up with some issues.
I have a Main Application with a menu Bar on Top and Rest of the area occupied by a ModuleLoader.
First I set the URL to login module, on successful login I initialize my menu Bar based on User role and load a new module, it contains only a SuperTabNavigator.
On click of an item in my Application Menu, I add a Custom Componenet built on Canvas (Named MyCanMod , this contains a Module loader and a progress bar in it , I have attached the code) as a tab to the tab navigator.
On menu item click, I take the data of my menu item and set that as the URL of my Module Loader inside the Custom canvas. Then it is added as a tab to my tab navigator.

urlParam is a bined to the module Loader url in my Custom componenet.
All works fine. I am not unloading any modules and all the module loader are set to current domain.
When the user logs out and logs back with out refreshing the browser I get Type Error or some time null Object error and it is random. If I refresh the browser and login back, every thing is fine.
I do have reference for IDragManager,HistoryManager,PopUpManager,RemoteObject in main application.
I am not concerned about unloading modules now, but then on Tab close event I unloaded the module, and that did not solve the problem.
I get an error like

Issue in FF v 3.6.10: I have a page which have more than 20 link, clicking on these link opens up a popup using window.showModalDialog, for the first 20 popup opens up without any prob but for the 21st n more click it block the popup and do not open.

Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.

If I have multiple tabs, the history is not for each tab, so if I drop down it shows history from other windows too, possibly eliminating all history for the current window. How do I get each tab separate?

The drop down list when the History menu option is clicked, has only provided history information for the tab currently being used. (You could go to all history of course and it was cumulative). It is now showing cumulative history for all tabs including for other Firefox windows if I have more than one copy running.
Is there an option to separate the histories for each tab again?
I do not know if this is because of Windows 7. This computer is new as my previous one was stolen and they no longer sell XP versions or Vista versions.

Create new session for each window opening

From a jsp page i open a page called student.jsp by clicking on students admision no.Therefore lots of pages can be opend in new windows with relevent student details.
but when i click on the link i called a servlet, get relevent details and redirect to student.jsp. The problem is ,all opened windows have same session id and there are session conflicts.
How can i create new sessions for each page thru the servlet or is there any other alternatives

I actually was working on a problem that was similar to this, and the problem is with how each web-browser works with sessions...
Each browser window (Except in one case with IE) will use the same session in each window.
However, you might be able to use URL-Rewritting to manage your sessions and get around using cookies for for session tracking. I personally haven't tried this, but I'm betting that it will work.

Is it possible to create an iPhoto slideshow with a menu for each child?

I want the DVD to open with three photos: Karen's, Lori's and Amy's.
When Karen clicks her photo, three more of her photos will appear: a baby photo, a school-age photo, and an adult photo. If she wants to watch a slideshow of her baby pictures, she will click the baby photo...
Each daughter will have a similar setup - three slideshows for each of them. I'm not very picky about which theme will do the job.
I have checked two books and the Apple tutorial and can't find a similar example.

Yes this can be done.
First create the 9 slideshows you need in iPhoto......for each one, when finished use the "Send to iDVD" to create a QT movie of each slideshow......be sure to pick the music/playlist in iPhoto (unless you want to use iMovie for that and other things...). When iDVD opens, just close it without saving.
Then open iDVD and choose a menu. As an example, choose "Portfolio Color". Retitle it to "Daughters" or whatever you want.
Then click on the "+" sign at the lower left, and choose "add submenu" -do this two more times yo get three folders. Then click on the media button, and choose three photos to use as a button instead of the folder. Just drag each photo onto the folder. Rename each submenu to Karen, Lori and Amy. Click once on the text, wait, then click again and edit.
Then double click on one submenu. Drag in the correct three iPhoto movies you exported using the "Send to iDVD" command. By default, they go to your home directory in the Movies folder. You can also find them using the Media tab in iDVD and look for Movies.
Go back to the "Main" menu using the back arrow (double click on it).
Repeat for the other two submenus.

After reopening Firefox does not remember which desktop was used for each window. Can you help, please.

I'm using two displays and several desktops on my Mac (OS X 10.9.4).
When I need to restart Firefox, it remembers to open windows from last session in correct display, but does not remember which desktop was used for each window. So when the application starts, it opens all windows on a desktop which is currently active instead of reopening them on desktops used during the last session. How to fix the issue?

Thank you for your question, there is a add on I have been recommended to custom set up of opening windows in new monitors. It's called [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/monitor-master/ Monitor Master].
However, in regards to the session remembering which monitor the window was open in, in the profile folder there is a file that stores window positions and dimensions. It is called localstore.rdf.
Please stay tuned for more investigation, as there are definitely bugs on file for similar issues. Pinpointing it is the hard part.

Os10.5.8 connection FTP server no popup windows asking for my logging and password

I'm actually working on mac book pro 10.5.8 and I try to access a FTP server. Finder then command+P and my address. The finder open me two files "Array and Info" but nothing in the Array folder where everything should be. The problem found is that the system is not asking me for my password and login. My friend who is working on 10.6 get this popup windows asking for login and password. Why I don't get this windows on os 10.5.8.
