Window POS + java issue

Hello All I have one appication which is multithreded application.
which reads some data from serial port and insert into database.
application is working fine with my all pcs which have window xp installed.
I have tried at client place and it wasnt work. Client have Window POS Operating system and it was giving me

I have search it on google and i found that Window CE and Window POS has not yet full support for Java Application.
So can any one help me about this issue.

Somebody Please help me! I bought a Pocket PC 6700 With Windows Mobile 5.0. I am trying to run an ".aspx" java supported extension for my Scottrade streaming quotes screen on my Pocket PC. Is there ANY java programs/downloads/patches, anything that will launch this app. with what I got? Im looking for a solution to this problem. Ive came across some research of it being a liscensing problem but I would think this kind of technology would be taken advantage of at this point with these new pocket PC's

I've had my PPC 6700 (Windows Mobile 5.0 pone/PDA) for a little over a year now, and I am in the same boat. I am using Bank of America for investing/trading and can not use the online streaming quotes, which is a java based tool for real time stock quotes....
I also have done plenty of research with no success. I have tried several Windows Mobile 5.0 compatible browser like: opera, netfront, etc. but noting seams to do the trick.. Is there a version of Sun Java for Pocket PC's?

Wondering if anyone knows what's going on with my Filemaker Database that will not view properly on my desktop after upgrading from 10.5 to 10.6.8 on
my MacBook Pro. Is this a Java issue? The data is all there but all I see is blank boxes when I open or click on a specific area in the database.

Let me understand:
- you have purchased named canon, which is conencted to your PC running windows xp
- downloaded driver for win xp, and canon works fine
- canon is connected to that PC via USB
- that Canon is also activated as network printer, by allowing print sharing in windows; how did you set that option?
- now, you are in Mac OS x 10.6.8, downloaded Canon driver for Mac OS X, installed it, detected printer on the network, printer was installed; was it detected as attached to that PC running win XP? or not?
or you set canon by being connected to your mac directly via USB?
Now, there are some questions you should answer as some details are missing, and your initial text is not clear. Can you print if Canon is connected directly to your mac? did you try that? if not, do it before answering.

Windows 2003: JAVA does not recognize 8 GB, Why?

Hello Folks,
We have a windows 2003 (32 bit) HP server with quad processor with 8 gb ram. we were creating multiple java app servers with 1024MB heap on each server. We were able to create three java servers and fourth one is giving error message saying that there is not enough memory even though there is 8GB of physical memory. We did set the /PAE option. Java version 1.4.2_08.
What is the maximum memory that JAVA would recognize? (I am not talking about heap memory)
Are there any windows or JAVA setting that I have to do to make all the 8 GB memory recognized by the JAVA?

Don't use the /3GB switch you'll start getting in to trouble with memory performance and blue screens. Unless you have a specific need that the /3GB solves for you don't go for the general opinion that the /3GB together with Enterprise will solve your problems. It doesn't realy give you more memory, Microsoft together with Intel / AMD are just doing fancy foot work with the memory. Applicatoins like MS SQL and other sepcific apps. can benifit using this /3GB but most apps won't benefit. And even if your server don't blue screen you can still only utilize 3 GB of memory to an app isntead of 2 GB memory and your machine will suffer on other parts. Since your pushing memory from the OS up to the apps the OS will have less place and will run out of memory faster and will get more instable. My recommendation would be to go for W2K3 x64 version.

Finding Window's java program path in LabVIEW

I'm writing some software that depends on various java files being installed correctly into the lib/ext folders and bin folders of the current version of the java runtime installed. I'd like to be able to check if these files are in place and give an appropriate error message in my LabVIEW code if they are not. However, the path to these folders may be different on different machines depending on the the version of java installed and the version of windows used (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7 vs. C:\Program Files\Java\jre6). I'm using the 32 bit version of LabVIEW and the System Exec.vi to make all my calls to java. Does anyone know of a way directly from LabVIEW or a command in Windows I could use from System Exec.vi to find these paths? Thank you.

I guess it's similar. My applet calls showDocument(), but it is only passing a URL with query string parameters which the page called reads (via Javascript) and uses JS to call window.open() with the contents based on those parameters. I don't have access to the system to change the way the web works. The team that does has looked into it, and said they do make the tofront call in JS to push the browser window up. But it won't go up all the way, only above other browser windows, and not the applet window (which is a JFrame). Then the OS (windows in this case) starts blinking the taskbar button for the popup window for attention, but that's not helpful.
The only common factor in the reports were that it's Java 6u10 or higher. XP, Vista, FF, IE, all had the problem with 6u10+. And knowing how Sun changed the plug-in architecture, it actually makes some sense as to why this happens. However, this seems to be something that there is no way to fix short of Sun doing something. Or as mentioned, minimize my window just to let others show up, which is going to be annoying as a user to have to restore the window to go back.

Windows 7 Firewire Issues with CS5 and ADVC-700

I've got a Windows 7, 64 bit system with CS 5. In dubbing out for playback, I route a firewire cable from the PC to an Canopus/Grass Valley ADVC-700. Both units are less than a year old and are having issues with "black outs" during the dub out process. I've read different things about Windows 7 having issues with firewire drivers. After speaking to someone with Adobe, I've changed my firewire driver to Legacy. That hasn't helped.
The ADVC-700 has s-video out running to preview monitor and BNC out/XLR audio running to my playback system for ingest. When the video goes to black (usually for a 1/2 second), the audio drops out with it.
I've reset the settings on the ADVC-700 with no luck.
Any suggestions on a fix or something else to try?

I did test with a JVC GY-HD200U and there weren't any performance issues which led me back to the PC or other on the PC.
The system is running Windows 7, 64 bit with CS5 Production Premium following an upgrade from the CS4 version.

I've got the legacy drivers for the firewire card. I've checked to make sure all of the power save options are off along with all screen saver options. I've cleaned my Adobe Cache out, deleted my Adobe Preferences, went from the 4pin/6pin cable to a 6pin/6pin cable to feed the ADVC-700 from the PC, reset the ADVC 700 back to factory specs...all of this with no luck.
The problem seems to be worse since the move from CS4 to CS5 but it's hard to tell.
I've also hooked up an older ADVC-500 unit with the same output results.
I think I noted in the first post that this is happening on two indentical systems with the same cabling and programs and the same ADVC-700 boxes.
I've been told by Adobe to clean my C; drive and reload the OS and Adobe CS5 as I should have done that when I upgraded instead of just upgrading the system from CS4 to CS5 using the discs. I haven't done this yet as I have to budget time/workflow to accomodate.
