Wireless headphones MDR-RF970R sound keeps cutting out.

I always acquire Sony products and have had good luck by and large. However, I acquired Sony wireless earphones from Best By and although the calim was to a tranmission wpu;d reaach 150 feet, I could not receive a signal at 25 feet. I placed the trasnmitter where I had for the old RCA wireless earphones I had so they should have worked. I promptly took them back to Best Buy. This is why I always shop at Best Buy. No questions asked and no restocking charge.

Oh, bummer!  Sorry to see you had difficulty with them.  Keep in mind we're here to help out if you need us if you have any difficulty with our products in the future.

  • Satellite L755D - sound keeps cutting out for no apparent reason

I posted this in another thread, but thought I might need to start one of my own since a solution had been found by that person and I am still having a problem. So, about three weeks ago the sound on my computer began just cutting out for no apparent reason.  It happened while I was watching streaming video and I tried updating all my software stuff (like flash and java and things of that nature).  It still continued to happen and now it was happening with streaming video, with youtube type videos, and with mp3s stored on this computer. I discovered that if I went to the control panel and clicked on sound/hardware and then clicked on the tab for recording, the sound immediately came back.  So, I've been doing this for the past couple of weeks and it is extremely annoying! In another thread on ths forum, the individual discovered that the Malwarebytes program had been the culprit and I was happy to have an answer, except that I had installed security software last week which removed MB from my computer.  And I continue to have the issue even today.  I clicked on the link in the other thread to update my drivers and I continue to have the issue. Can anyone help?  It's making me crazy! Thanks in advance.

OK - I'm getting this as well. Satellite L750-1E5. It was fine for ages and this started happening about a month ago now. - tried updating the drivers - System restored back to when it worked, not working This led me to think it was a hardware problem. My gut feeling however was that it was some sort of driver problem as sound would cutout after about 2 minutes, but would often come back if I started playing another song or something. Reinstalled Windows 7(64 bit) and played through an entire song with no issues(using Windows 7 sound drivers). Ran Windows update and the issue has come back.  Installed the proper Conexant driver, but issue still occurring. I believe a Windows update has caused this issue.

  • Sounds keeps cutting out - volume bar disappears

    Hi
I have restarted and restored my ipod and still this problem is happening.  Sometimes I press play and it looks like it is playing but there is no sound, now after restoring it the sound comes and goes, sometimes it starts playing a song and then just stops - nothing has happened to this ipod so I don't really know what to do or what the issue could be.

If it still happens after restoring to factory defaults/new iPod that points to a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Wireless Headphones MDR-RF810RK Cutting Out

Hi, I bought my heapdhones about 15 months ago and they had been great, really impressed with the sound quality and range, but recently the sound keeps cutting out. It's getting so bad that I can't really watch or listen to anything as the sound is continually cutting out - and I'm not moving, let alone wandering from room to room like I used to be able to do. I use them for watching movies and listening to music on my laptop. I have them on charge when not using them so I don't think lack of charge is the problem. Has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be and how to solve it? Should I buy a new battery? If so, where from? I'm in the UK and bought them from Argos, but they don't sell replacement batteries. Many thanks for your help.

  • My headphones keep cutting out

The sound on my iPod keeps cutting out - I've tried different types of headphones but still the same problem

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • Bose sound link keeps cutting out when streaming

this is applying for all my devises every time i want to streame to my bose sound link system it keeps cutting out could this be a rooter problem?

The Bose Sound Link uses bluetooth technology to communicate with your devices, therefore the router has nothing to do with your problem. Try moving the devices closer to the Sound Link and see if that helps.
Also, human bodies can block the bluetooth signal so make sure your iDevice and the Sound Link are out of the way from where people can walk between them.

  • Why does my sound keep cutting in and out on my tv when connected to Mac?

I hooked up my Mac to my tv using a mini display port and changed to sound output so that I could get sound from my tv. The sound is coming from my tv, but it is cutting in and out. Is there a way to fix this? Is it the cables I'm using?

  • Left, right, or both sound channels cutting out

    Hello folks,
This is a second thread I am creating to ask some questions about this other problem I have:
I have a fourth-gen ipod photo. I bought it just before they rolled out the ipod color. I have used this device pretty heavily, I take it with me everywhere I go. I've tried to take good care of my iPod... no major drops, minimal jars, only unplugging it when there's no I/O access, and trying not to charge it until the battery is low.
For several months I have been having issues with sound channels on my headphones cutting out. At first, it was just annoying: left or right sound channel cutting out, fixed simply by nudging the headphone plug in the jack.
Lately, however, this is becoming a bigger problem. This problem does not affect the ipod playing back music in any way, aside from the fact that sometimes the ipod will think I've unplugged the headphone.
Now, sound will completely cut out. Sometimes I hear nothing. Sometimes fidelity will drop pretty heavily and everything sounds like I was listening to my music underwater. Sometimes, just the left or right sound channels cut out. Again, all of this fixes itself by wiggling the headphone jack in its plug.
I use a pair of $20 walmart special Sony Street Style (very nice sound quality, actually) in most cases, but also use it with a pair of American Audio DJ headphones. The Sony headphones have an L-shaped plug, but the AA headphones have a more traditional sticks-straight-out plug.
I am looking to fix this problem myself. I plan on opening up my iPod to install a new battery and maybe fix the other problem I am having (see my other thread), and I am not afraid of the insides of the device.
What I am asking is if anyone else has had this problem, or a something similar? My guess is that the headphone jack's solderpoints on the PCB have become loose, so if I go in there and resolder the jack then I hope everything is hunky-dory. I've seen repair sites that sell the entire headphone assembly for like $50. Would it be better just to replace the whole thing?
Please note that I have no intentions (nor the money) to have a "genius" fix my iPod. (Where's the fun in that, anyway?) Further, I can not afford (and will not buy) another iPod, so that's out too. I am simply looking to fix my iPod and keep limping along until I can afford a newer mp3 player.
    Any help is appreciated
    tom

    Hello,
It looks to me that it can be caused by the bad contact of the metal parts of earphone jack or the loose of its solder with the mother board. Both of them should not be too difficult to deal with if you are good in small elect. device.

  • Airplay from phone to ATV keeps cutting out.

When using my ATV and airplay from iPhone 4s the audio keeps cutting out then will play agian. This will happen every 5-20 seconds. I am able to use airplay from my MBP without any issues. I have restarted the iPhone and ATV. I have closed all aps on the phone and tried both streaming and music apps with the same result. All items have the most recent updates. I have an airport express in my shop which there is no issue using airplay form the phone with any aiplay app. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try changing your energy saver settings.   Make sure the macbook is plugged in and change both display and computer sleep to never.  When your display goes to sleep airplay will shut off.  I don't watch a lot of tv on airplay from my mac, but this works for when I'm streaming radio or music.  I suggest getting a cheap iPod touch (with airplay) on craigslist if you don't have an iPhone.  I've seen them as low as $30.  Then get the Air Video app ($3) and the Remote app (free).  These two apps take care of all of my tv/movie watching needs.
If your appleTV is too far from your wireless router then you will have trouble using any of these features.  Try purchasing an extra long (100') cat5 cable from monoprice.com and moving your router to a more central area of your house.  You can even put a second router in your home using this cat5 and get great internet connection everywhere!

  • Why does my airport express keep cutting out?

Why does my airport express keep cutting out?

I have a 1st gen Airport Express and use it to stream music from my PC, iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch. My Airport Express is connected to a Teac UD-H01 DAC via an optical cable which is connected to an amp and speakers. I had no problems at all with this set up until I upgraded the Airport Express firmware to 7.6.3. The sound then started to drop out frequently. To cut a long story short after various testing, the problem had to be the Airport Express. I called Apple support but they were not much help and couldn't fix the problem and said they would speak to engineering and phone back. While I was waiting I decided to have another go to find the problem and opened the airport utility and saw that there was an option to downgrade the firmware. At this point I realised that the problems started about the same time that I upgraded the firmware to 7.6.3 but didn't think at the time that Apple would release a firmware that didn't work. Anyway I downgraded to 7.6.1 and hey presto, everything worked again. A couple of days ago I noticed that firmware 7.6.4 was available and thought I'd give it a go, not good - same problem as 7.6.3. I've downgraded to 7.6.1 again and all is well. Hope this helps.

  • Eny M4 with Beatsaudio, sound keeps going out.

Sound keeps going out, have to either reboot or stop and start services.
just bought it,   Win7 Professional, all updates,  uninstalled IDT High Def audio software, sound works, but at a low level, not getting the boost it should have with the IDT software.
    Suggestion?
    W5D

    Hello W5D,
    Let's try something simple first.
Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'.
Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button.
Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'.
Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows
Please let me know if this helps.  If not, please reply with your product number and operating system.
    Good luck!

  • Music keeps cutting out on my ipod nano 7th gen when using bluetooth

I just recently got an Ipod Nano 7th Gen and the music keeps cutting out when I use bluetooth headphones. It seems like it needs to have a line of sight or else the music will cut out. If I hold the ipod in my hands while running or keep it in my pocket, I am listening to more pauses than actual music. I practically have to hold the Ipod up to my head while running to not have it cut out on me (and that is obviously not comfortable). Is this how it should be or do I have a faulty Ipod? Is there some way that I can fix it or do I need to take it to the Apple store?

thankfully I was just able to find the answer in another member's post. You can double click the side button to advance the songs. I credit member little goomba for sharing the answer on another post. Now I am back to loving my new Nano!

  • My iphone keeps cutting out when i ring people and people cant hear me when i speak what could it be?

when i ring people my iphone keeps cutting out, it connects but i can hear them talking but they cant hear me talking :s

    Hey Ciara,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are having issues with others being able to hear you while on calls, the issue seems to be resolved by using speakerphone. This makes sense, as speakerphone utilizes a different microphone. I would advise you to take a look at the following articles:

iPhone: Sound muffled or low from the speaker or when speaking into the mic
