Wish you could tap the Shift key to set next key press in caps on iMac

I really wish in Mac OS that you could 'tap' the Shift key to set up the next key press in capitals. In Lion, on my iMac desktop, the present arrangement requires you to hold down the Shift key while hitting the letter you want to capitalise, as has been the case since time began. On my lovely iPad2, you just tap the shift key once and the next keypress is in caps - SIMPLE and efficient. I have been yearning for this simple change to the OS since way before the iPad came along, but now you can use it in iOS5 and NOT in Lion, it's really frustrating. i find i am now failing time after time to select caps in Lion...
Please, oh wise ones at Apple: take a few minutes out from whatever fresh ramification of iCloud you are concocting and giVe uS bETter cAps.

so that you can make single click on the physical button bring up the task manager, and double click go to the home screen.
I find after a while the apps I want are already 'running' and going to the home screen is a much less common event.

If you're referring to desktop icons, right click on the desktop > Show view options > check "show item information".

what is the problem? Can't you drag the audio region to the right, or is the silence at the beginning of the track missing?
You could mark the measures you want to export by the Cycle region. Then any beginning silence will be included.

Because that would mean that I would have to delete my apps after everytime I just them from that bar and that would be very annoying and just stupid. Or maybe apps do use data and it's just a big scheme to make everyone go over on their data plans.

A few weeks ago, my Macbook pro(A1212) stopped displaying. It only showed a white screen, but you could get the display via an external monitor. A friend looked at it and we discovered a burnt Mosfet (SI3443DV) which was item Q9400 on the motherboard. He went and changed it but it only displayed for less than 5 minutes and it went back to the white screen. would you please advice on what to do since i am not in a financial position to take it for repairs at the apple store?

Forget it.
1: If it was tampered with, then it doesn't qualify for warranty or AppleCare.
2: Repairing it will incur a new expensive logicboard, because that's how they do things. Swap parts out.
3: No money, means no Mac.

No the imei from what I understand is a randomly given number. to get serial number you must have it. you can try supportprofile.apple.com and login.

That would be enough to make me worry as well. I've not seen (or heard, in this case) that happen on any of my iPhones, or any others that I've been around (friends, family, etc.).
I would say that no, that isn't normal. If you're near one, take it to an Apple store. Or, if you made your purchase at the wireless carrier you've chosen, take it back to them to see if they could help you out.

1. Time Capsules are the easiest device to setup for Time Machine.
2. Sorry this is unclear. There are a huge number of routers available that have far superior controls than apple routers.. some support Time Machine.. most don't. They negate your question 1. in being difficult to setup. And alot of 3rd party devices that claim Time Machine compatibility are unreliable.
3. Encryption is irrelevant.

How do I show the bookmarks toolbar while in fullscreen on Firefox 20? In older versions you could edit the userChrome.css file. Does that still exist?

After searching for this option, it appears it was very easy to do in older versions of firefox on windows 7. Many posts say you can edit the userChrome.css file to add:

userChrome.css does not exist by default. You can create it; it's an ordinary text file. Note that you do need a namespace at the beginning of the file.

I added the second rule to prevents the toolbar area from rolling all the way up. The specific value may need to be adjusted by a few pixels depending on your toolbar heights.

What happened to zoom in and zoom out selection, so you could make the screen zoom in and out?

I added zoom in and zoom out to my yahoo toolbar and from one of the sites that let you pick buttons to add to your toolbar, and now it has disappeared. And I can not find zoom anywhere. Have you heard of this happening before? If so do you have a resolution for this? Thanks in advance. Dan
