Word merge 3 different documents ?

I am trying to use the MS Office report block.vi to generate a report. Since the number of bookmarks is limited to 17, I thought I can create 3 documents using the VI with about 17 inputs each, and merge them programmatically. Is this possible ? I was trying to use activex and play with the WORD properties. Has anyone tried this before ?

I've never tried it myself, but it is an interesting problem. I had a couple ideas that might help (or not), and I thought I'd throw them out there to see what everyone else thinks...
Have you had much experience creating macros in Word? I haven't myself, but I'm assuming it is possible to create a macro that merges the 3 documents together. If that is correct, then you should be able to have Labview create the reports, then at the end of the program use a command line call to open word and run the macro (see here). My main goal is to remove the merging part from Labview (taking away the extra coding you would have to do) and let the built in Word functions take care of it.
Again, this is more of an unpolished idea, but I figured it couldn't hurt

You use Assembler for this purpose.

2) Last week I posted on generating and merging PDF's from PostScript. Take a look at the assembly service instance in the .lca. Assembler uses DDX (Document Description XML) to describe document construction. NOTE the .lca was developed with ES 3 (aka ADEP). The .lca It contains the most basic DDX.

Looking also for an app that allows me to merge email and send them out to each recipient individually. Apparently that's not possible yet. Here's what the guys at RedbitsApps told me about Group Email capabilities:
"The current version of the app relies on the device operating system to send the emails. For this reason, sending individual email instead of a single email to multiple recipients is not possible. Apple doesn't allow apps to send single emails to many recipients easily. We may use a custom sending software in a future version."

Is there a way to order printing between two different documents?

I have two different documents that need to be printed in a certain order. 1st document, 1st page ----> 2nd document, 1st page---->1st document, 2nd page---->2nd document, 2nd page---->ect.
Is there anyway to get it to print without having to merge? I have about 15 sets of 2 pairs of documents that need to be printed like this.
I also need to stamp every single page in the same spot with a signature. I am still doing research on how to do it efficiently but any recommendations would help alot.

Word merge with MS_WORD_OLE_FORMLETTER

We want to do a word-merge with MS_WORD_OLE_FORMLETTER, having two datasets (in internal tables) and making two documents in one run (to make sure all selections are the same). When trying this the word-template-document (or how do you call that) has to be openen beforehand and before being able to make the second document we have to close the first and open the second template.
Has anyone have an idea what might be wrong ? What parameters can influence this behaviour ?

Did you receive any error message ? some thing like 40552 : The session has been
terminated because of excessive transaction log space usage. etc., Please share if any to isolate the issue.

Below is a copy of an 8/7/2013 email from adobe. I prepaid a one-year subscription, and, until I recently upgraded to Windows 8, I was able to make several dozens of merged pdf documents. I seem to be no longer able to use the merge feature that I had successfully and repeated used. When I search for the merge feature I end up with a request that I pay for an upgrade monthly subscription to use the merge feature.

Need help with linking a word to a different slide.

I have made a table of contents on this document clickable (linking a word to a different slide in the presentation) So you can click on any of the words and it will take you to that page. The problem is when I open the document it is at the correct magnification - say 75% for easy reading. But when you click on a word in the table of the contents to take you to a different page - it changes the magnification to a smaller size (53% or 63%)
I need to know if we can keep it from doing that.
So we can have every page no matter what you click on easily read and viewed without having to change the magnification every time.

Yeah one below.. What you will see is the photoshop file, then the null layer followed by the original footage. In effect I need the photoshop image to track the movement of the camera as when I currently play the video, when the camera moves it looks as though a chunk of grass (the mask) is moving different from the rest of the scene.

I use two computers (don't laugh). I set up the laptop next to my desktop monitor and use one hand on each keyboard.
Consider using (if appropriate) compare tools as well. You can export both documents to RTF and use Word to compare them if all you care about is textual differences. You can export both documents to PDF and use Acrobat to compare them if you need to see graphic differences as well.

I recovered around 2500 .doc files, lost in a drive fail (I know) and I've been trying to find a way to speed up the renaming process : I'm trying to create a macro that could grab the first characters, or first word of each file and replace Its filename with those characters. In a 2500-docs batch. I tried a lost of things, but am not sure if it's doable with Applescript.

There are no bells and whistles here - e.g. minimal error checking - but this should give the basic pattern for applescript. Copy it into the applescript editor, save it as an application, then drag&drop files onto the application.

How to open and read pdf and micrsoft word (.doc) files or documents

My problem is how to use my BB 9800 software version 6.0.0.546 to read/view pdf files and microsoft office documents. I have also bought documents to go from online and have installed it on my phone, but whenever i try to open it I receive a message that it is incompactible. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Why not install a 3rd party PDF reader and Word Doc reader to help open and read pdf and micrsoft word (.doc) files or documents? You can google it and select one whose way of processing is simple and fast to help you with the related converting work. It will be better if it is totally manual and can be customized by users according to our own favors. Remember to check its free trial package first if possible. I hope you success. Good luck.

Question re: colors mismatching in two different documents

Hey all,
I use Photoshop (CS2) primarily for coloring illustrations and comics, and although I'm not quite a technophobe, I still always get tripped up on the technicalities of the program. Here's my problem in a nutshell: I have two different documents, both with the same color profile (Adobe RGB 1998), both open at the same time. I use the eyedropper to select a color. I switch from one document to the other, and the color as it's displayed changes rather dramatically (even though the color picker says it's still the same - 190R, 120G, 120B). The shift in how the color is displayed is consistent even if I change it using the picker or eyedropper - which is to say that the display error is consistently wonky from one document to the other.
What in the world is causing this? The saturation and brightness are quite different from one document to the other, to the point where it's immediately noticeable to the naked eye. This only happens with certain docs - in most cases, the color remains consistent from one doc to the other if I have multiple docs open, but it just goes wonky when I move over to certain docs. I've had this problem before, with colors displaying differently as jpegs, for example, than as tiffs in Photoshop, but that's obviously a correctable issue involving color profiles. I find it really frustrating that this is something that's happening from one tiff to another in the Photoshop work environment. Can anybody help me with this?

There's just no way this can happen if the two document profiles are really and truly the same. If, on the other hand, the profiles are not the same, this is normal and expected. The numbers will be different for the same color (and inverse).
Check again. Click the little arrow at the bottom of the document frame:
Also make sure that you have Color Management Policies set to "Preserve Embedded Profiles" (which is also the default setting). Any other setting is an unholy mess waiting to happen, unless you really know what you're doing.

How do I use values form different documents on numbers?

I have two problems: When I open an Excel worksheet that has references to other spreadsheets, Numbers automatically turns these cells into formulas with the wrong reference, giving therefore the wrong values. How do I prevent or change this?

As it seems that you didn't understood, I repeat :
there is no built-in feature allowing us to exchange datas between two different documents.
So, what you get when you import an Excel document embedding external links is the designed behavior.
Here you are speaking to end users like you. We can't change the app behaviour.
If you need to work with linked XL documents, Numbers is not the good tool.
