Workbench problem when interface extends interface

Hi,
I have a problem when importing an existing class into Toplink Workbench. This class has a getter/setter on a property, say getAccountType() where AccountType is an interface. This property is not persistent, only a string representation of its value stored in a private field. So as far as Toplink is concerned, the interface AccountType is not persistent.
When I try to import, I get an ExternalClassNotFoundException. We found that the interface AccountType extends another interface and this seems to be the problem. If we remove the inheritance, the import goes fine.
I don't know if this is related, but AccountType is in my project and the super-interface is in a dependency jar file (this jar file is specified in workbench's CLASSPATH).
workbench = 9.0.4.2
jdk = 1.4.2_07
Thanks for your help
Jean-Christian Gagne

Unfortunately in 9.0.4, the error message you are receiving is not very helpful or accurate. My guess is that something the super-interface is referencing is not on your classpath and that is why you are getting the exception. In 10.1.3 this will not be a problem because we have changed how we load classes. Your super-interface would not actually be loaded in to the workbench.

  • Problem when I extend an oracle rac 10g on new node

    Hi everyone
    I need to extend an oracle RAC but i have problems when I add a new node. My actual enviroment is:
    1) Oracle Grid Infraestructure 11gR2 - 11.2.0.3 (Upgraded from Clusterware 10gR2 + ASM 10gR2)
    2) Oracle Rac Database - 10.2.0.5
    (all on one only node)
    The first problem was when I executed the script "root.sh" on the new node because this script called the old Clusterware home (/oracle/product/10.2.0/crshome). I edited the file and I changed this path for /oracle/gridbase/product/11.2.0/gridhome (current home for GI). Finally, I execute the script.
    Now, I tried to extend the rac through of DBCA, but when, I choose the new node and I clic on "next" button then appears the following error:
    "The nodes "[rstatbdbpm02]" are not part of the cluster. Make sure clusterware is active on these nodes before proceeding"
    However, when I execute the "crsctl" command to view the status of cluster the result is correct:
    [oracle@rstatbdbpm01] /home/oracle > crsctl status res -t

    Hi,
    Please check dbca trace logs for further checks, it will give an idea what command is being run to check status of cluster.
    Generally first checks should be on inventory for rdbms home, grid home and making sure no ORACLE related parameter is set in environment.

  • Error Key word when interfacing EPMA interface table

    Hi,
    I'm trying to interface a SQL server database with EPMA interface tables. So basically, I'm doing SQL server to SQL server.
    I already have several Interfaces that work fine, but I encounter an issue when interfacing a ...PropertyArray table in EPMA IT.
    This table has a column called "Key" and I wonder if that's not the problem, key must be a special word.
    Here is the error message:

    ODI-1240: Flow PRODUCT_INTERFACE_PROPERTYARRAY fails while performing a Control operation. This flow loads target table HS_Product_PropertyArray.
    ODI-1228: Task HS_Product_PropertyArray (Control) fails on the target connection CSPL_EPMA_IT.

    Thanks a lot,

    Hi Phani,
    I don't see what you mean, sorry I'm a beginner with ODI.
    I might have found a workaround though, I can update UDAs, aaliases and attribute in the Hierarchy table, I have no use of the property array table.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Bean problem: No interface classes found

    Hi ;
    I try to create a adapter . according to tutorial "How To Create Modules for the J2EE Adapter Engine"
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/f013e82c-e56e-2910-c3ae-c602a67b918e&overridelayout=true
    Although I did all steps in it , I copied sda files and extract them  then I imported them to the project but I get this error in Netweaver Studio "Bean problem: No interface classes found" while creating ejb file.
    the document says you must close and reopen project when you come accross this error but it doesnt work?
    Is there any one solve this error?
    ps: I use NWDS 7.0.19 , I copied aii_af_lib.sda, aii_af_svc.sda and aii_af_cpa_svc.sda files from PI 7.01

    Hi Tuncer!
    Did you download and "import" these JAR files into your NWDS Build Path  - classpath variables:
    com.sap.aii.af.lib.mod.jar     <bin>/ext/com.sap.aii.af.lib/lib
    sap.comtcloggingjavaimpl.jar     <bin>/system
    com.sap.aii.af.svc_api.jar     <bin>/services/com.sap.aii.af.svc/lib
    com.sap.aii.af.cpa.svc_api.jar     <bin>/services/com.sap.aii.af.cpa.svc/lib
    com.sap.aii.af.ms.ifc_api.jar     <bin>/interfaces/com.sap.aii.af.ms.ifc/lib
    <bin> stands for: /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance-id>/j2ee/cluster/bin in a PI 7.1 system.
    Windows -> Preferences -> Build Path -> Classpath Variables -> New ...
    Choose a name of your choice and then select the JAR files mentioned above.
    This should resolve your problem.
    Regards,
    Volker

    I have contacted EA about this and can find no help. I had this Scrabble on my iPad2 and began to have connection problems, it would lock in the "connecting" position. This is not the first time Scrabble has had problems with interface. Typically customers delete the Ap then download it again to reinstall it. During the process you sign in and approve the purchase KNOWING that another window will open saying that you have previously purchased it and that there is no charge. So what happened this time? It will not connect and all of my saved and current games are wiped out. I want my money back, this game interface is pretty junk and operates like some ancient DOS program,,bug,bug,buggy. I want my money back.

    Go here:

    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

  • Problem in Interface Determination

    Hi All,
        While trying to do webservices using webdynpro i was able to do the repository part without any errors but while trying to do configuration i'm facing a problem in interface determination.
    I'm unable to find my interface mapping in the interface determination.
    While trying to search for the interface mapping its showing me as "no objects found".
    Could anyone help me out in this regard.
    Thanks in Advance
    Madhu

    Hi,
    As said by Moorthy, you should able to see interface mapping.You just Copy the interface mapping name from IR and insert at Interface Mapping in interface determination.To insert Interface mapping , right click choose Insert option from context.Save & activate Interface determination.If it is activated successfully every thing is ok.Otherwise once you should check as said by Moorthy and check Namespace of Interface too.Hope this will solve your problem.
    Cheers

  • JTable sorting - problem when adding elements (complete code inside)

    Im writing this email with reference to a recent posting here but this time with the code example. (I apologize for the duplicated posting this time it will be with the code)
    Problem: when adding more elements to the JTable (sorted) the exception: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException is thrown.
    Example: If the elements in the table are 10 and then the user requests for 8 the table will produce the correct result. However, if the user will ask for 11 items (>10) the exception will be thrown.
    The program: The program below (compiles and running). A JTable is constructed with 3 items, when you click the button - the return result should be 4 items - this will generate the error, WHY?
    I would highly appreciate your thoughts why this is happening and most importantly how to fix it.
    Thanks a lot

  • JDO object id problem when working with an appserver

    Hi,
    I'm running into a problem when passing a JDO object id as an argument to a
    bean. My client is finding a JDO object locally, then attempting to
    instantiate a bean which wraps the JDO object. Since the JDO object is not
    Serializable, I'm passing the object id to the bean constructor, so that the
    bean can look up the object again, this time in the appserver, and wrap it,
    without ever serializing the object.
    I'm guessing that the JDOId class for the JDO object is generated on the fly
    in the client, and therefore does not exist in the ClassLoader in the
    appserver. Any ideas how I can fix this?
    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi David,
    I'm trying to use JDO to completely replace Entity Beans. Of course, this
    leaves me with an important question: how do you make the JDO object
    available remotely? My answer is to wrap JDO objects with a stateful
    session bean, and pass through method calls made on the bean to the JDO
    object. Both the bean and the JDO object will implement some interface, so
    you can use an object in a client without any knowledge as to whether it is
    a bean or a JDO object. ( Important note: I can get away with this because
    of another cool Solarmetric product, the session bean creator, which
    enhances a simple java object into a session bean )
    Now, once I have some interface implementation, maybe a local persistent
    object, maybe a remote object, I will want to do something with it. There
    are a couple considerations here. First, if I want to edit the object, I
    need to make sure a transaction gets started. I do this by having my
    session beans take care of starting and committing transactions. Since I
    have written my own JDO Factory that takes care of synchronizing PM caches
    across transactions, this has the effect of keeping all my caches in the
    appserver up-to-date as well ( more on that if you're interested ). So, in
    order to call a 'set' method, I need to ensure that the object I have is in
    it's "remote" state, so-to-speak.
    So I created an interface called RemotePersistentObject, which all these
    other interfaces extend. It includes two methods, getRemoteObject (), and
    getObjectId (). The reason for getObjectId (), instead of
    getPersistentObject (), is that often times you don't want your JDO objects
    to be Serializable, especially if you have JDO objects that you want to
    guarantee remain unique ( say, no two Stock objects have the same ticker
    symbol ). Besides, you want the remote object to represent the same
    concept, and as soon as you serialize the persistent object, you have a copy
    of the original JDO object that will no longer do nice things you'd like it
    to do, like get updated when some transaction in a different thread modifies
    a field.
    So, to get around this serialization issue, I just pass the JDO object id to
    the bean, and have the bean lookup and wrap the appropriate JDO object on
    the server. I wrote a couple optional base classes that provide a lot of
    the functionality for this, since it turns out that wrapping a
    non-serializable JDO object is non-trivial. The problem there is that when
    the bean passivates, it serializes the state of the session bean... oops.
    So the base classes take care of keeping a transient reference to the actual
    object, while keeping a non-transient ref to the object id. All attempts to
    use the actual JDO object are filtered through a getObject () method, which,
    if the transient ref has disappeared due to bean passivation, looks up the
    object in a read-only PM again.
    Hmmmm. Lots of stuff here. I'll stop here and answer any questions (
    criticisms ) you may have.

  • Firefox gets problems when 2,7 GB of memory is used by Firefox

    Firefox gets problems when 2,7 GB of memory is used by Firefox. Or more. Like 2,8 GB.
    It started when I read jpost.com with tens of tabs open. I don't remember how many. But I know there was more than 40.
    On the tab I that I was reading, the page turned completely black. Pitch black with nothing else, not even the Firefox interface. It was actually a pitch black shape that looked like a web page in shape. The blackness quickly disappeared and the page was normally readable again. But then it happened again - the page turned black again.
    The same page turns black happened again later.
    One of my browsing sessions had Firefox slow down so much that you could see scrolling happening when I used scrolling.
    Still another time I had 60 tabs open and Firefox worked completely fine without freezes, slowdowns, or black shapes. I could close Firefox by just pressing the red X in the title bar.
    Yesterday, I had 50 tabs open and I experienced a slowdown when I looked at the Breaking News headlines. The headlines would show slower than usual. The Breaking News headlines at jpost.com show the headlines a few words at a time until the headline is completely shown. Then the headline disappears and the next starts showing a few words at a time. And speed in general was not what you normally have with a computer that has 8 GB of memory. And a Core i5 processor. I opened two more tabs from the Breaking News section I had opened. After I opened a new window, Firefox froze. I had to close Firefox from the Task Manager by pressing End process. I had used Firefox for 6 hours without ever closing any of the tabs I had opened.
    In all of these cases, more than 40 tabs were open. In all of these cases, the slow down or freeze meant I had to use Task Manager and then press End process on the Processes tab. In all cases except the two I describe in the next paragraph, I never close any tabs after opening them. No problems have ever happened until Firefox started using 2,7 GB of memory. Until that point, everything is normal with no freezes or slowdowns.
    At two times, I tried to reduce memory usage by closing tabs. However, in both cases this would make Firefox freeze. In one of these cases, Firefox would show something bizarre: there would be about 7 tabs, and one of the tabs would be partly shown. Also, Firefox would show the busy cursor. Firefox did not show how many tabs I actually had. The second time, I tried to close the tabs by clicking Close other tabs in the menu that you get when right-click a tab. The tabs would close fine, but I remember that I opened Gmail and then I did this: I clicked on the Promotions tab. Instead of seeing the tab with the Emails, Firefox showed a busy cursor and the title bar said not responding. Firefox froze.
    The reason might be Adblock Plus memory usage. In Adblock Plus home page, developer Wladimir Palant writes in his blog about how Adblock Plus uses a lot of memory: https://adblockplus.org/blog/on-the-adblock-plus-memory-consumption .

    One more bit of information: I have a Geforce 640 GT graphics card. My graphics card drivers are old- version 311.41. The newest version of the drivers is 340.52. Would a new graphics card driver solve the problem?

    I met problem when installing Oracle 8.1.6 on Turbo Linux 7.0.
    After setting up environment variables, and successfully
    accessed KDE interface, everything was going on well.
    The process of installation blocked at 80% in "Database Creation
    Process" dialog window.
    I have tried two times and got the same result.
    The error message is:
    Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-Kochi Gothic-medium-r-normal-

    Help!

    I have done some oracle installations over RedHat 7.0 (not certificated):
    Let's check some things:
    1- You must have changed very few parameters on your shm.h sem.h files which are in /usr/include/linux directory.
    2- You need to upgrade the glibc and libstdc libraries (.rpm)
    3- You must have installed the jre116_v5 on /usr/jre and made a symbolic link like this
    ln -s /usr/jre/jre116_v5 /usr/local/jre
    4- You must include in the CLASSPATH parameter the jre116_v5 directory. It should look something like this
    CLASSPATH=/usr/jre/jre116_v5:$ORACLE_HOME/jlib
    5- Be sure to create and export all the parameters in your .bash_profile.
    6- Run the ./runInstaller.sh in a terminal window inside the Xwindow.
    You can find the jre116_v5 in www.backdown.org
    I hope these tips help you

  • Performance problem when running a personalization rule

    We have a serious performance problem when running a personalization rule.
    The rule is defined like this:
    Definition
    Rule Type: Content
    Content Type: LoadedData
    Name: allAnnouncements
    Description: all announcements of types: announcement, deal, new release,
    tip of the day
    If the user has the following characteristics:
    And when:
    Then display content based on:
    (CONTENT.RessourceType == announcement) or (CONTENT.RessourceType == deal)
    or (CONTENT.RessourceType == new release) or (CONTENT.RessourceType == tip
    of the week)
    and CONTENT.endDate > now
    and CONTENT.startDate <= now
    END---------------------------------
    and is invoked in a JSP page like this:
    <%String customQuery = "(CONTENT.language='en') && (CONTENT.Country='nl'
    || CONTENT.Country='*' ) && (!(CONTENT.excludeIds like '*#7#*')) &&
    (CONTENT.userType ='retailer')"%>
    <pz:contentselector
    id="cdocs"
    ruleSet="jdbc://com.beasys.commerce.axiom.reasoning.rules.RuleSheetDefinitio
    nHome/b2boost"
    rule="allAnnouncements"
    sortBy="startDate DESC"
    query="<%=customQuery%>"
    contentHome="<%=ContentHelper.DEF_DOCUMENT_MANAGER_HOME%>" />
    The customQuery is constructed at runtime from user information, and cannot
    be constructed with rules
    administration interface.
    When I turn on debugging mode, I can see that the rule is parsed and a SQL
    query is generated, with the correct parameters.
    This is the generated query (with the substitutions):

    At this moment, the server makes the user wait more than 10 min for the
    query to execute.
    This is what I found out about the problem:
    1)When I run the query on an Oracle SQL client (We are using Oracle 8.1.7.0)
    , it takes 5-10 seconds.
    2)If I remove the second term of (CONTENT.Country='nl' ||
    CONTENT.Country='*' ) in the custom query,
    thus retricting to CONTENT.Country='nl', the performance is OK.
    3)There are currently more or less 130 records in the DB that have
    Country='*'
    4)When I run the page on our QA server (solaris), which is at the same time
    our Oracle server,
    the response time is OK, but if I run it on our development server (W2K),
    response time is ridiculously long.
    5)The problem happens also if I add the term (CONTENT.Country='nl' ||
    CONTENT.Country='*' )
    to the rule definition, and I remove this part from the custom query.
    Am I missing something? Am I using the personalization server correctly?
    Is this performance difference between QA and DEV due to differences in the
    OS?
    Thank you,
    Luis Muñiz

    Luis,
    I think you are working through Support on this one, so hopefully you are in good
    shape.
    For others who are seeing this same performance issue with the reference CM implementation,
    there is a patch available via Support for the 3.2 and 3.5 releases that solves
    this problem.
    This issue is being tracked internally as CR060645 for WLPS 3.2 and CR055594 for
    WLPS 3.5.

    If you are trying to create a Tuxedo service in Java using WTC you need to develop an EJB that implements the TuxedoService interface and register its home in JNDI so WTC can look it up. Once that is done you can then export the service to a remote domain in the WTC configuration.

    Hello Sallo,
    Issue seems to have occured in the past where it got fixed by removing  kb2760556  KB2760512  one by one and after that installing them
    again.
    Is your machine Windows 7 machine with a home user interface like Aero theme enabled? can you move into Window 7 Basic version and  give a try.
    IIf we feel that its because of the patches , then we need to follow the methord of uninstalling patches one by and one and test the scenario each time

    I shoot a lot of portraits, and when I get an order for prints (I have Apple fulfill print orders for 4x6's and I do the larger sizes), I order through Aperture. I select all of the images I'd like printed, then go to File>Order Prints. This is a all fine if you are just ordering 1-4x6 of each image, but what if the client wants 5 4x6's of a specific file, like DSC5678. Guess what? In the ordering interface, the file names are not listed...you just get thums of the prints to be ordered. That means that when I have an order for 150 4x6's and say, 20 of them need multiples prints, I have NO WAY of knowing which prints get multiple 4x6's...I started just writing down descriptions of each image that needed multiple prints, but that was ridiculously time consuming, so, I UPLOADED TO SHUTTERFLY. Apple gonna lose a ton of my printing business if this issue isn't addressed. I assume others must have this problem, too, unless there's some magical fix I am missing.

    This bugs me too.
    I've filed multiple feature requests around this UI and its inflexibility as a "sheet" -
    Please do the same -
    1. The version numbers aren't listed in the order pallette, this becomes a problem when you can't tell which version is 4x6 vs 5x7...
    2. The Version names get hashed during the upload, so the name printed on the back of the actual print is not the original version name...
