Wrapper error in OC4J

Hello Folks,
We are setting up Oracle 9iAS server and testing a simple EJB from JSP/Servlet and getting a strange following problem (java.lang.NullPointerException
     at EmployeeHome_EntityHomeWrapper1.findAll(EmployeeHome_EntityHomeWrapper1.java:1029)

We are able to execute the same EJB from client with out any problems. We are quite new to this environment and any help is appreciated.

Satya -- It sounds like maybe an initial context problem or a descriptor problem. Which factory are you using to get your
initial context? Could you include your descriptors and the snippet that shows your initial context and your findAll call?
You could mail them directly to me if you prefer. Here's a little blurb about when to use each type of factory for
getting initial context. Hope this helps.
1. ApplicationClientContextFactory
- used when looking up remote objects from standalone application clients
- uses refs and mappings in application-client.xml
2. RMInitialContextFactory
- used when looking up remote objects between different containers
3. ApplicationInitalContextFactory
- used when looking up remote objects in same application
- the default initial context factory
- uses refs/mappings in web.xml and ejb-jar.xml

Enterprise manager configuration error: error instantiating OC4J Files

Good day to all.
Its my first time to install Oracle 11g on my Windows 7 computer.
After i installed and configured the database, i get this following error , so i can't go through the Enterprise Manager.

IT seems that the folder OC4J_DBConsole\config\ does not contain any xml files.!
Prior to this, i get some files that are not found error when running the SETUP, there are several of them, i just pressed CONTINUE in
order to finish the installation.
Hope anyone can give me a good advice and help so that i can start to run Enterprise Manager and to learn how to get around with database creation and configuration

I checked out the installation logs in the Logs directory, i can the error log (oraInstall2012-06-05_12-36-49PM.err) . which contains many errors:

I recently tried to deploy Windows 7 update to my client computers. I am able to download and distribute it to DP, but somehow it wouldn't install into my client computers. Can anyone help me? Below text is copied from my scanagent.log and updatesdeployment.log

Tested on the following steps:
1.       Start an elevated command prompt,and run wbemtest.exe
2.       Click Connect, and specify the path: root\ccm\SoftMgmtAgent and connect
3.       Select Query, and type select * from DownloadContentRequestEx2
4.        Select query, and select * from downloadinfoex2
5.       Delete each instance that returned by the query.
6.       Restart SMS Agent Host service, and check to confirm the instances didn’t come back.
7.       Trigger Software update evaluation cycle and try to install update again
Didn't managed to execute step[5] as there is nothing for me to delete. Once I ran through the above steps, I noticed the following error in ScanAgent.log file. Also, I found some error in ClientIDManagerStartup.log. Can anyone tell me what is wrong

ERROR INSTALLING OC4J CONFIGURATION FILES

Hi,
Steps:
1. Downloaded Oracle11g Rel2 from download.oracle
2.Installed Software only option and completed installation on my laptop Windows7 ultimate. Selected Enterprise Version, unchecked OLAP,DATA MINING.
Error message during installation, some files missing .jar files. I have opted to ignore and continue and finally got success installation message.
3.Configured DB using DBCA.
4.Able to connect as SYS, SYSTEM.
Problem.
I tried to reconfigure DB using DBCA for OEM, received the msg

Seems you have not extracted downloaded zip files into same directory. In that case you get error like
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
/Disk2/database/stage/Components/oracle.rsf.hybrid/11.1.0.6.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup12.jar (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
/Disk2/database/stage/Components/oracle.rsf.hybrid/11.1.0.6.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup5.jar (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
Also after installation dbca will throw error.
Try the below
For AIX platform:
unzip in the same folder
$ mkdir 1120
$ mv aix.ppc64_11g_database_1of2.zip 1120
$ mv aix.ppc64_11g_database_2of2.zip 1120
$ cd 1120
$ unzip aix.ppc64_11g_database_1of2.zip
$ unzip aix.ppc64_11g_database_2of2.zip
$ cd database
$ ./runInstaller
This is true for all platforms on which you get two .zip files to download
For Windows 64 bit example on 11.2.0.1 you can do the following :
- create a directory C:\tmp\1120
- copy winx64_11g_database_1of2.zip and winx64_11g_database_2of2.zip under C:\tmp\1120
- unzip winx64_11g_database_1of2.zip and winx64_11g_database_2of2.zipunder C:\tmp\1120

Probably OPMN is listening on a different IP-address, or the server name does not resolve to the same IP-address on your Jdev machine (opmn might send a redirect that Jdev cannot follow).

Size error using OC4J Works fine in Tomcat 6.0.

I am making an application under Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.3.0) and I have a strange error.
Initially I am developing the application in an environment with Apache Tomcat 6.0 and the application works perfectly. But yet when I generated the EAR for the application and get in the OC4J. An exception occurs when I have a form on a JSP and sent post size exceeds approximately 30kb.
When I saw the exception generated thought it could be problem of database, but after checking in Tomcat and OC4J does not, I'm lost and I do not know what to watch.

Seems that node element passed to constructor is null. Looks like you are using

Error deploying OC4J 9.0.3 to Linux RH AS 2.1

Getting "java.util.zip.ZipException: Is a directory" error in trying to "-install" the oc4j.jar file. It does prompt me for the admin pswd and completes but when I try and launch oc4j, I get the same error and it hangs and/or dumps. I'm using IBM's "J2RE 1.3.1. IBM build csia32131-20020302".
Any thoughts?

How to do this ?? Pls help me...Unfortunately, it is not a supported operation to upgrade only the OC4J component of a 9iAS 90201 installation with the standalone 903 version of OC4J.
If you are using a 9iAS installation, you will need to download and install the 903 version of 9iAS (which is J2EE 1.3 compatible). I believe there is an upgrade assistant which can help with the migration of any configuration settings or applications from your prior installation to the new one.

Hi I am getting following error when i am trying to use web application deployed in OC4J container. I tried installing JRE and J2SDK both..but, still same error.
I am using J2EE 10g(9.0.4.0.0) and jdk1.3.1_09/jre1.3.1_09....and i am getting following error...

OC4J (stand-alone) 9.0.4 works with J2SDK 1.4
You must use the SDK (Software Development Kit), and not the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) because, as you can see, OC4J requires the "javac" compiler -- and the compiler is only available in the SDK.
I'm guessing that you have incorrectly set up your environment. You need to ensure that OC4J is using J2SDK 1.4

The error was in the execution of OC4J embebbed. OC4J uses its own libraries for web services and xml.
You can deploy an application with JAX-WS 2.0 if you add this java option:
-Xbootclasspath/p:<dir_libs>\xml-apis.jar;<dir_libs>\xercesImpl.jar;<dir_libs>\xalan.jar;<dir_libs>\saaj.api.jar
And the jars of JAX-WS are added as libraries to the application.
With this solution you solve the problem: OC4J uses this libraries, not their owns, include the xml libraries.

I am in a big trouble due to resultset behaviour....
In my application during one hibernate query execution sometimes resultset.wasnull method stop returning any value.
I have try to check same issue but no one i think have face this before.
Sometime when I start OC4j application server, query get executed successfully.. only using connection pooling the same query fails
even somtime ..
I need a permenant solution for this. On debugging I come ot know that call to resultset.wasnull under
hibernate class nullsafegettype somehow not returns any value..
Return value set to oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CVarcharAccessor which creates problem.

I am facing same issue ,have you get any work around

Error starting OC4J 11-standalone Technology Preview

I have just downloaded OC4J 11 - standalone on to Fedora 8. When I started the server, an error
occurred saying: ERROR J2EE RMI-00002 Error starting ORMI server, Invalid keystore format.
I don't have problems running OC4J 10g-standalone.

Error installing OC4J 10.1.3.1.0

Hi there,
I have unzipped the file, I've installed jdk-1_5_0_09 and I have a problem when I try to install OC4J, I execute "java -jar jazn.jar -activateadmin password", I always get an java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError exception oracle/xml/parser/v2/Parser
Any idea?

* Are you using OC4J stand-alone, or Oracle Application Server (OAS)?
* Which version of OC4J (or OAS)?
* Are you trying to install it using the following command?
java -jar jazn.jar -activateadmin password* What platform are you on?
Also, please post the entire error message and stack trace you are getting.
