Wrapper web service for incompatible web service.

Hey Experts,
I'm stuck in a grind!
I have a web service that is not compatible with Visual Composer (shows up as "Not Supported" when consumed into VC).
I think this maybe due to the fact that the web service return structure is nested and complex.
So, in order to overcome this, I am trying to write a web service to invoke a web service and convert the result set into something VC understands.
The trouble is I'm writing the web service in Java, and don't know how to return a simple structure so that VC would understand. Currently if I use the return type SOAPElement, and just one, then it works in VC. But I need to return the data such that several SOAPElements make up one record, and I need to return multiple records (maybe 10-100 records).
Can anybody help me how I can return this to VC?

VC will not support an y complex structures in VC7.0 ,it will support the clusters structers from VC7.1.
so move to VC7.1 to solve your problems:-).

Within Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus would handle the REST side of things, which in turn would call the JCA adapter to talk to your JDE backend, or vice versa.

and the OSB Docs - HTTP and Poller Transports - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7)
OSB 11.1.1.7 introduced additional REST support, so I'd recommend using that version onwards.

Mail configuration in shared services for Workspace/Web A Reporting purpose

Hi,
I have configured SMTP Mail Server name in the shared services but still not able to send HFR and Web analysis reports through email.
When I click on Email Link in WOrkspace on a particular report, getting below error:
Enter the user email address in Hyperion Shared Services, Ask your Administrator to update your email address listed through Hyperion Shared Services.
What needs to be done to avoid this issue? do I need to enter user's mail ids in Admin mail field in Shared services configuration page. If yes, how can I enter all user id', i mean, any comman's or some delimiters in between mail id;s.
Please advise me on this..

There are also the .properties files that have to the SMTP server name as well. I know for FR it is in the FR_global.properties file.

I use SharePoint 2010 SP2. Programmatically I can create a FBA-based web application and now I want to add a new site collection ("/") subsequently. Everything is done in a WCF web service with its own application pool and web
application. In extracts my code looks like this:

The process user is the same both for my Windows forms based application and my WCF service and I expect the code runs the same in both cases. I did not find any matching forum entry and I have no idea why a WCF service does not execute
the same way as a Windows forms application. Additionally, before applying SP2, I used an ASMX service with a similar code snippet and it also worked fine.
Can anyone please tell me why calling
webApplication.Sites.Add-method by a WCF service does not work? Is there anything I can do to make it work properly?

The creation of a new web application using SharePoint API works in WCF service. I also lined out that...
SPWebApplication webApplication = SPWebApplication.Lookup(new Uri(https://www.someurl.com));
... works in WCF service. In return I really get the very web application that I requested. Also exactly the same code snippet is called by exactly the same user context both in WCF Service and Windows forms application. Only for Windows forms
application it does not throw the exception but in WCF Service it does. I had some WCF Service specialist colleague looking through the code and web.config and he stated it looks ok (unfortunately he does not have any experience with SharePoint).
If you state "It's not, then your WCF config is wrong" what do you think I need to add or change in web.config in order to make it work? BTW: I did not modify app.config in my Windows forms application, so I thought I do not need to modify my web.config.

Configuring Oracle Net Services for Oracle Heterogeneous Services

In the Oracle 9i Net Services Administrators Guide, it states that 3 parameters need to be included in the listener.ora in order to enable Heterogenous services. Can someone clarify what the Program Name should be set to? I'm not quite sure what is meant by agent executable. I'm trying to create a database link to and MS Access mdb DSn if that makes a difference.

The program is hsodbc. The listener entry should be something like this:

Authorization is required for this network service

I am trying to set up Shared Reviews with Acrobat 9.5 using an internal server running IIS 7.0 and Windows Server 2008 SP1. I have users that will be accessing the reviews from within our domain and users that will be accessing reviews from other domains. What is the proper Authentication method to use? What are the proper folder sharing and security setup?
When initiating a shared review, I can get to the dialog box where I enter email addresses. After I click Send, I am unable to get passed the Remote Service Authentication dialog. The RSA dialog appears three times. I enter my username and password three times. The last time a dialog appears. Part of the message on it says, "Status: The shared folder location you provided is not setup correctly to store comments for this shared review. The problem is: Authorization is required for this network service."

I am using a web server folder.
All participants have r/w access.
I can send email and use Acrobat.com
I can open a web browser and type in the web address for the web server folder. I am presented with a dialog requesting username and password. I key those in and then the default.htm displays in the browser. I can do this from both inside and outside our domain. That suggests that the IIS setup is correct.
If I try a shared review within Acrobat, after I have keyed in an email address for a recipient and click send, I am presented with the Remote Service Authentication dialog box. After entering the username and password three different times I see an error message box that says:
Status: The shared folder location you provided is not setup correctly to store comments for this shared review. The problem is: Authorization is required for this network service.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I would turn on the "show java console" and the "log output" options in the java console. You should then be able to see the reason the application will not start.

Archive Web Page for Off Line Use

Hi all,
I'm currently enrolled in an online music program where I have to review/study web pages for my course instruction. These pages contain standard HTML text, graphics, mp3s, multiple flash applications and quite often embedded quick time movies. To date to back these pages up I have physically printed each page and then discretely downloaded and saved all mp3s, flashes, and quick time movies. However, as I'm sure you can guess, this leads to a very disjointed "archive" of paper product, separate quick time movies, and flash applications. So here's the question:
Is anyone aware of an archive utility that will save a web page like above in it's entirety onto my mac for off line use? I have seen a few web archive tools like I'm looking for, but all appear to be for Windows or older versions of mac OS. So any direction would be much appreciated.

Give this utility a try. The way this works. After you install the app. in your Applications folder, open it. A panel appears.
Then go back to Safari. Open the web page you want to archive. File>Save As. When the panel opens make sure the drop down menu is set to "Web Archive". Then go to the location where you saved that page. Move the web archive file onto the Utility's panel. This will create a folder with the various web components for that web site.
Also, either update your tag to your current version of OS X Leopard, or if 10.5.2 is correct, consider upgrading to 10.5.5 via Software Update.

SharePoint Performance services requirement- SQL analysis services

I have a question I was hoping someone would verify the answer to. One of the requirements for setting up Performance Point services is for there to be a SQL analysis service instance that sharepoint interacts with. This is particularly true if want to create dashboards
that are Dynamic(Please correct me if I am wrong).My question is, must SQL analysis in sharepoint mode be used instead of any other form of SQL analysis services, for performance point services to work at all or is it the case that other forms of
SQL analysis services mode( ie Tabular and Multidimentional) will work but function will be limited?

According to your description, you need to know if SQL analysis in SharePoint mode is must or we can use other form of SQL analysis services in PerformancePoint Services in SharePoint Server, right?
PerformancePoint Services in SharePoint Server 2013 supports PowerPivot models as a data source. You can use data in a PowerPivot model and build interactive dashboards using PerformancePoint Services features such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Scorecards,
Analytic Charts, Analytic Grids and Filters. So if you need to use PowerPivot models as a data source, then first you need to install PowerPivot for SharePoint which is an Analysis Services instance.

When you are creating a service from a Stored Procedure, the OracleAS WS tools will create necessary Java and PL wrapper code to handle the complex types (table of record) properly and make them compatible with XML format for SOAP messages.
So what you should do is to use JDeveloper or WSA command line, to create a service from your store procedure and you will see that most of the work will be done for you.

Best Practice for Securing Web Services in the BPEL Workflow

What is the best practice for securing web services which are part of a larger service (a business process) and are defined through BPEL?
They are all deployed on the same oracle application server.
Defining agent for each?
Gateway for all?
BPEL security extension?
The top level service that is defined as business process is secure itself through OWSM and username and passwords, but what is the best practice for security establishment for each low level services?

It doesnt matter whether the service is invoked as part of your larger process or not, if it is performing any business critical operation then it should be secured.
The idea of SOA / designing services is to have the services available so that it can be orchestrated as part of any other business process.
Today you may have secured your parent services and tomorrow you could come up with a new service which may use one of the existing lower level services.
If all the services are in one Application server you can make the configuration/development environment lot easier by securing them using the Gateway.
Typical probelm with any gateway architecture is that the service is available without any security enforcement when accessed directly.
You can enforce rules at your network layer to allow access to the App server only from Gateway.
When you have the liberty to use OWSM or any other WS-Security products, i would stay away from any extensions. Two things to consider
The next BPEL developer in your project may not be aware of Security extensions
Centralizing Security enforcement will make your development and security operations as loosely coupled and addresses scalability.
