Writing position of stage to file as it moves along with relative time.

I'm wondering how to get the position of a stage I am controlling through labview to continuously write its position.  I have an indicator set up with its position and the indicator shows the values as it moves along its axis, however when I try to save these values, only the initial value when I start the motion of the stage is displayed.

It would help if you posted your VI so we can see what you tried.
Most likely you need to create an array of the values and then write the array to the file.

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to upload a file containing comments along with transaction data.
    We are planning to store commnents in a Ztable from the flat file and read and post comments in the BADI
    using UJC*Add_cmt.
    Use a custom process chain to execute the above steps and link to a pakage.
    Please let me know if there is a better process/how to doc  and any code for the above.
    Your early reponse is much appreciated.

    Hi Venkata,
    *MVAL  function allows you to use multiple time period columns. I don't think this may help your scenario. I my opinion you may need to use two transformation files to bring the data from BW cube to BPC. BPC is an account base model, I don't think you can load the data in two columns in BW cube using one transformation file.

  • .PDF file transfer(SAP XI ) along with file name to SAP R3

    I would like to transfer a .PDF file along with its file name to target system.I need to have target structure like,
      <Target>
        <field1>
        <Field2>
    /Target>
    Field1should be mapped to file name( i can do this by using dynamic configuration and a UDF).
    Field 2 should me mapped to .PDF imae (.ie) i need tp pass the whole image to one target field
    How can i do this.
    Please suggest.

    Hi as mentioned by you the structure is
    <Target>
        <field1>
        <Field2>
    </Target>
    Field 1 Contains The dynamic File name UDF
    Just make This File name which is sent Thru Source side as "Filename.PDF" to be passed to the target end
    For example If the File name is XYZ
    Field 1 has XYZ--
    Pass The Field 2 as "XYZ.pdf" (i.e. File name Followed By .pdf as extension(Field1.pdf))

  • How to package resource files for iPad app along with ipa file

    Hello,
    I am developing an app for iPad in Flash Builder 4 and Packager for Iphone.
    I want to keep my xml-asset files local to the app. When I run my app in flash builder, I load the resources locally.
    When I upload the same onto iPad, I need to package the resource files along with the ipa file.
    I tried compiling the air-project with "-include-file" compiler option, but in vain.
    Any help?
    Tanu

    You can read through the resources documentation for iOS here:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/extensions/WSf268776665d7970d-2e74ffb4130044f3619-7ff8.htm l
    Of particular interest is the line:
    "3. It moves the resource files to the top-level directory of the application."
    So not sure if you are using an ant build script or whatever to build your ANE, but as long as you place these json files into the folder with your library when you build the ANE, these will end up getting copied to the top-level directory of the application when an application is built using this ANE.
    This is exactly how I include an iOS .bundle of resources along with a .a in an ANE and it works fine. Nice clean packaging when distributing the ANE too.

    I want to read config\databaseproperties.xml file in src\database\ConnectionManager.java file.

    place the *.jrxml files in your war (e.g. WEB-INF\classes\report.jrxml) and then in your servlet:
    JasperReport report = JasperCompileManager.compileReport("report.jrxml");

  • How can I move an image/file around inside a document with text already in it?

    I'm learning In Design on the job, and it's a real challenge.  One big problem I'm having is, after I've placed an image inside a document with text in it, how do I place it precisely where I want it?  Sometimes I need the image flush to the left, and sometimes I need to center it.  When I place it, it doesn't land where I need it to be.  Things I've tried work sometimes but not other times.  I've tried going to Paragraph and reducing the setting to zero to move an image flush to the left of the text frame/column (I'm working with a three-column page).  Sometimes that works, and sometimes it does not.  When it doesn't, I've tried using the Selection tool to drag the image, but it doesn't respond.  Could someone give me an idea of what I'm overlooking?  I'm finding that InDesign has many settings, and all it takes is for one setting to be what it shouldn't be for things to go badly wrong.  I'm having other issues too, but in this discussion I'll stick to this.

    Sounds like you are anchoring the images in the text flow. That's fine if you need them to move along with text during editing, but is usually not required and often counter productive. If you place your images as separate objects in their own independent frames they can be positioned anywhere and moved at will. If they need to be anchored, consider using Custom Positioned instead of inline.

  • How can I get the cursor's position in a opened file and display a menu?

    Hello,
    I want to make a program by which I will be able to display a panel/pops up menu at the corsor's current position, (In any text/doc file or in the desktop, we can display a menu by right click of the mouse.) Now I want my program to do the same task.
    More clearly-
    1. First I would save some words or sentences in a file(aa.txt).
    2. Then I would open another text file/ a word/ excel/ or any other editor( bb.txt / cc.doc / dd.xls / ee.html ).
    3. While editing or writing something in the opened file, if I click the right mouse button/ press a key (ctrl+space), a menu will appear containing the sentences I saved in the file(aa.txt) previously.
    My program will tell me the cursor's position in bb.txt / cc.doc / dd.xls / ee.html that i opened. And display a menu. my problem is not reading / writing in a file.
    My problem is how can I get the cursor's position in a opened file display a menu at that position by a mouse/key action*.
    Would you please help me on this regard.
    Thanks

  • Writing HTML data in TEXT File

    I am writing HTML content in TEXT file ...I read it in a string and then write using PrintStream...
    But it writes all content on one line ..I want to write it as it was in source HTML file...

    Perchance, the OP is referring to the lack of carriage returns in his outputted data, and querying where they have absconded to? An analysis of his posts to date reveals that he has read the contents of a File into a String variable, and wants to write the (presumably modified) String back to a file (uncertain as to whether this is the same file or a different one) In the process of outputting to said file, carriage returns previously contained in the original input file are not present in the output. I would hazard a guess that the OP does not want said carriage returns in the String to disappear.
    Is my analysis of the situation correct?
    An example of the code that you have written to date would be of extreme usefulness to us in aiding you in your noble quest.
    Without such a resource, I must rely on my intuition instead.
    Possible places that the carriage returns are being "dropped"
    1 - On reading in. Are you discarding carriage returns while building up your variable?
    2 - On manipulating. Are you processing this line by line, or reading it all into one large variable?
    3 - On output - are you using "print" or "println" in the output?
    I look forward to further correspondence with you sir
    kind regards,

  • Reading and writing to and from a file to a form

    Hi there
    I would like somebody to send me a code example,
    showing me how to reading records from a file to a form,
    and writing records to the same file from the same form.
    I know that I have to use sycronize, but I just have not been
    successful. I can constract forms, go from form to a form,
    do buttons, do text fields. I can even read and write from and
    to files. However I cannot do is write from a file to a form and
    from a form to a file.
    could somebody please explain how this done, and could you
    please give me a code example. All the books seem to either
    deal with forms or with files. None seem to combine both.
    I am sure it is very ease to do if ONLY I knew how!!!
    thank you very much in advance for you help.

    I understand that code and I have used it before, however thanks for
    trying to help me, it is really appreciated. However, that is not my
    problem. I can read and write from a file to the console and vice versa.
    what I cannot do, no matter how hard I try, is to write from a file, and
    output it in.

    I also have an about box, staff details, and valuation forms.
    what I am trying to do is for the New client form to be able to read and write from and to a file, and display the info.
    I am working in JBuilder3, a bit out of date I know, but it is the best I can do. Any Ideas how to do this.

  • Writing binary data to a file without carriage returns every 512 bytes

    Is there a VI for writing binary data to a file without carriage returns being inserted every 512 bytes?
    Thanks

    Hi Momolxg,
    I could be way off on this. I tried to simulate what you've done by
    making a for loop that would run a set number of times. For my example I
    used 1025. I wired the iteration terminal to a 'Write to SGL File.vi'
    outside the loop with indexing enabled. It wrote the SGL data from 0 to
    1024 to the file. I then read the file with a 'Read Characters from
    File.vi' and searched the output for a carriage return (0D hex). It was
    found five times. The reason why was the SGL number it was reading had a
    13 (0D hex) in it. Perhaps you're running into a similar problem?
    I tried it again, this time using the 'Write to I16 File.vi'. The
    carriage return was found five times: the 28th character the first time
    then on the 512th character four consecutive time
    s after that. I suppose
    that makes sense that you'd find a 0D in the numbers at equal spacings if
    they're incrementing this way... In this case the carriage returns you're
    seeing are actually numbers from your data.
    One big difference is that I'm using a set pattern of numbers. This
    doesn't appear to be your case. Is there a better way we can duplicate
    your problem? It sounds interesting. Again my simulation could be way
    off. (I'm also running this on LV60 for Linux so my results could be
    different)

  • Problem while writing to fixed length flat file from xml

    Hi,
    I have a problem in writing data into a flat file of fixed length...
    My input is a xml file and i want the output as a flat file. I am successful in converting the xml into flat file... But the main problem is, i am unable to insert spaces in between my fields in the flat file.
    The data in the flat file comes without spaces... Any suggestions on writing the schema...
    Regards
    Surya.

    Have a look at this doc
    http://otndnld.oracle.co.jp/document/products/as10g/101310/doc_cd/integrate.1013/b28994/nfb.htm#BGBBAJFD
    your element should be something like this, it pads with a space using the paddedBy expression
    <xsd:element name="C1" type="xsd:string" nxsd:style="fixedLength" nxsd:length="4" nxsd:paddedBy=" " nxsd:padStyle="tail" />if having trouble post what you want the file to look like, and the xsd you are using.

  • Writing Records in a Text File to Specific Columns in the Text File

    Help Please! I am a noooooooooobbbbbb!
    I have searched this forum looking for a procedure that will write records from my database into certain col (positions) in a text file. Example:
    1234 TONY TEST 84889922 Y 34 TORCHCOMP 34
    5678 BOB JOHNS 43534534 N 56 SAFDWEERE 65
    I am thinking I would like to setup variaables like:
    Consumer_ID = Consumer(position 1,5)
    Name = name(position 10,20)
    Invoice_No = Invoice(position 30,40)
    etc.
    Any input will be greatly appreciated
    Thank You

    Hi,
    That's a formatting issue.
    Formatting is best done in the front end. For example, using SQL*Plus:
    COLUMN     consumer_id     FORMAT 9999     HEADING     c_id
    COLUMN     filler_6_9     FORMAT A4     HEADING     " "
    COLUMN     name          FORMAT A11
    COLUMN     filler_21_29     FORMAT A9     HEADING     " "
    COLUMN     invoice_no     FORMAT 9999999999
    SET     COLSEP          ""
    SET     PAGESIZE     9999
    SPOOL     x.dat
    SELECT     consumer_id
    ,     ' '          AS filler_6_9
    ,     name
    ,     ' '          AS filler_21_29
    ,     invoice_no
    FROM     table_x;
    SPOOL     OFFIf you have to do it in the back end, use functions like TO_CHAR and RPAD to make each part exactly the right length, then concatenate them all into one big string:
    SET     PAGESIZE     0
    SPOOL     x.dat
    SELECT     TO_CHAR ( consumer_id
              , 'fm99999'
              )          -- 1-5
    ||     '    '               -- 6-9
    ||     RPAD ( name
              , 11
              )               -- 10-20
    ||     '         '          -- 21-29
    ||     TO_CHAR ( invoice_no
              , 'fm9999999999'
              )          -- 30-40
    FROM     table_x;
    SPOOL     OFFEdited by: Frank Kulash on May 22, 2009 10:40 AM
