Wrong "Composer" button

In iTunes suddenly the 'Composer' button shows '%2$d nieuwe afleveringen (%1$d totaal)'. See screenshot:
Being a former programmer I recognize the %1$d as probably being an identifier, where %2$d means the amount of new episodes ('nieuwe afleveringen' Dutch) and %1$d the total amount of episodes. Strange, because pushing the button gives an overview of the composers. So the button works OK, but the text on the button is wrong.
I've done a search on my harddisk, and I found a file 'Localizable.strings' in the iTunes.app. In this file there are the following lines:
/* For podcasts, detail text showing total and unplayed episode count (plural) */
"163.236" = "%2$d nieuwe afleveringen (%1$d totaal)";
It appears that the iTunes.app shows this string in stead of the name 'Componist' ('composer' in Dutch). The answer is possibly to change something in this file, but I don't know what...

I'm not able to reproduce the issue that you're seeing.
1. Make sure all your apps are up to date (Apple menu > Software Update)
2. If the issue persists, I would recommend downloading iTunes (www.apple.com/itunes/download/) and giving it a fresh install.
If the issue persists, I would recommend contacting Apple. Even if you are not eligible for phone support, they would be happy to report the issue to engineering who can take a look at it, and get a fix out in an update.

Missing Compose button in GMail

I have Firefox 3.6.12
When I log into gmail and use their newer standard view
the COMPOSE button doesn't even display on the screen.
On the left side the only thing that does display is the GMail logo, then the MAIL header with no sub-options, then CONTACTS, then TASKS.
CHAT is working fine and displays all my chat contacts.
Switching back to gmail's basic view does display the needed compose functionality but doesn't offer the alternate From: email address option.
Also, in about:config, dom.storage.enabled is already set to TRUE. When I toggled it to FALSE, then Chat stopped working. Toggling it back to TRUE re-enabled chat, but Compose still didn't appear.

Disable "Adblock plus" plugin on mail.google.com page if you are already installed it.
You can do that by clicking it's button next to the search field and choose :
Disable on mail.google.com
then refresh the page.

Focus loss? bad modality? wrong default buttons?

Can I ask if anyone has experienced any of the following problems?
We are using Forté 3.0.G2 on NT4.0 SP3 using Compaq Deskpro PCs.
1. Occasionally, the modality is lost when a modal child window is
displayed for the first time.
2. Sometimes the closing of a child window doesn't correctly return the
focus to the parent window. This may be related to using the keyboard to
"click" the default button rather than actually clicking with the mouse, but
I'm not sure of that.
3. Also the default button is set correctly when a child window closes,
but the window indicates that a different button is the default button. The
highlighting is on the wrong button.
All these problems happen in both distributed and standalone runs.
I ask because I don't want to waste time with Forté Support if they aren't a
generic problem.

Troubleshooting Update:
If I first import my project using the RH7 WYSIWYG as default
editor, the Russian ToC is produced. I can then change the default
editor, (say, to Word2003 or FrontPage) and the Russian ToC is then
preserved. Very strange!
That still leaves a css problem. On import of a Word file,
the styles belong to some unknown (default?) stylesheet, and
editing and correcting is an intolerable job. Why is the Word
template not being imported to become the RH7 topic template?

Visual composer buttons distorted after translation

Hi,
I have generated translation worklist for one visual composer iview. For polish and czech transaltion the buttons size are changed and they grew bigger. Please suggest some solution. i tried to change the size from model but no success.

Just try with the 'Actual Size' & 'Absolute' Layout of the button. Also make iView & Form also as 'Actual Size'.
There is one more work around, try with giving spaces after the button name in the display tab of the button properties.
Either of it should work, Please let me know if there is any other issue.

All items on the toolbar at the top of an email (compose button, respomd arrows, delete, move, spam, etc) do not work. Clicking on them has no effect.

Wrong command button background color on web

Hello.
We have a problem with background color of command button.
If we set background color to lime, only upper line of button is in lime color. Rest of the button is in default color.
This happens when user runs application on web (standalone server and embedded).
In jdeveloper button is in correct color (whole button in lime color).
What could be the problem?

On debugging, i found that the commandButton is using background-image to show the silver/grey background.
So, in order to modify it to other background color, you have set the background-image as none as follows:

Help Menu is Wrong - Menu button on remote needs to go...

to Menu.
Seems like a no-brainer.
Help menu says: "The remote control settings are in different Inspector locations for different elements:
Disc Inspector: The commonly used remote control settings (Title, Menu, and Return) are in the General tab. The Advanced tab contains the settings that are not often used (Angle, Chapter, Audio, and Subtitle)."
This isn't true. If I select "Menu" in graphical or outline mode - then select "Inspector" then select "General" Tab - it lists "Start - Loop Point - End" NOT the "commonly used remote control settings".
Please help someone... I'm inches from getting this ball in the endzone - and project is late.

Answer: select the Disc icon in Outline - not the Menu. Then you get to set Remote button functions.

Wrong default button in alerts when using 64-bit JRE on Windows

I'm facing a strange problem.
My environment:
Server:
OAS 10.1.2.2.0 on Linux Suse (32-bit)
Client:
IE8 64-bit on Windows XP 64-bit and Java 1.6.0_18 also 64-bit
When I run a form that opens an alert-window with a default-button (button that has the focus), it sometimes happens, that not the default-button, but another button is activated by default.
I have to repeat:
It only happens sometimes and is hard to reproduce. Within 50 attempts it may happen 5 times or just 1 time.
I never saw that happening with 32-bit JVM.
Anyone else seeing this?

Ok... here is what I see:
1. Create a form with an alert and set button 2 as the default
2. Run the form and display the alert. Button 2 has focus (proven by the bold solid line (shadow) and dotted line that surround the button)
3. Open any other app (Notepad, Explorer, etc) and move focus to that app
4. Slide this other app out of the way so that you can see the running form under it.
5. While the other app has current focus, the buttons on the form's alert appear to lose focus (this is expected). However, now button 1 has a bold line (shadow) surrounding it. This gives the appearance that button 1 has focus.
6. Click on the alert box to move focus back to the form. Do not click on the alert buttons.
7. Focus lines are now redrawn on the correct button (button 2).
This is probably not the best behavior, but certainly not something that I would call an area of concern. If what I described here is what you are seeing and you feel that this is a significant issue, I would recommend filing a Service Request with Support (assuming you have a support contract) and request that a bug/defect is filed. You will need to provide a test case and I would recommend that you provide screen shots or a video of what you are seeing. If you have not already applied all the previously mentioned patches, I would not recommend contacting Support until you do so, as this will be the first thing they require you completed anyway.

For example: the Compose button on Yahoo Mail is a graphic object calls another class to go to the compose window.
What interface listener classes are there that we can use to create buttons to capture a mouse click, keyboard, or window close?
So, to those 'narrow minded' people out how think this theard show be flamed: How is Java similar in Visual Basic in terms of 'assign buttons' to methods?

I get a file upload popup when composing an email using Godaddy webmail. How can I prevent this from happening?

When I try to compose an email from Godaddy's webmail in the Firefox browser. My steps are as follows:
-Open Firefox.
-Log in to Godaddy webmail.
-I hit the compose button.
-New window pops up. This is the window that I would compose an email in.
- Right after the compose window loads, I get another window that pops up. This window says "File Upload" in the upper left corner.
If I exit that window I can then compose my email, and life is good until I want to compose another email. Then the problem repeats. I have contacted Godaddy support and the problem is not on their end. Also the problem DOES NOT happen when using another browser (Internet Explorer).

Apple script for Message box when Mail app Compose Window Opens

Hi there
I'm trying to make mail app remind me to choose the right emaill address to send from since I have several email addresses. Is there a way I can make or write an apple script for a message box to pop up whenever mail app's compose window opens up.
I can do for the case when I actally click the compose button when I'm on mail app by using UI scripting. But when it comes to hyperlinks which opens up the compose window, it fails.
I just want a script to see whether the compose window is open and if open pop up a message box.

Have tried doing a master reset to check if it's software related (may fix it , may not)

How do I get the width of message I'm composing to not get too wide?

When writing a message, it used to automatically return when it was as wide as the message. Now it just keeps getting wider and wider. How can I fix this?

Maybe you have switched from composing in plain text to composing in HTML? In HTML the message text only goes to a new line when you give an enter. Otherwise it wraps at the tight side of the window. It will probably display the same way on the receiver's computer, depending on the width of his screen.
You can try to see if this causes your problem, by holding the Shift key before clicking the Compose button, to start composing in the alternate way (e.g. in plain text instead of HTML).
If you prefer plain text, you can change the configuration under Tools -> Account Settings -> [account] -> Composition & Addressing and toggle the preference Compose messages in HTML format.
Note that this is a setting per account, and for news accounts it defaults to plain text...

After opening an email of photos from my mom, the email app won't open. I've rebooted the iPad, I've closed the app and reopeneded it. When I open it I get the basic frame (reply button, delete, etc) but none of my accts show up.

When I first opened the email, it took forever to open. Then the pics didn't show up as pics, but as a ton of some kind of code. Since then, the app will open with just the frame, no info in the frame, no email accts or anything. Then it closes automatically after a few seconds.
I've closed the app and reopened it, rebooted the iPad, and gone online and deleted the email itself. But the app still won't open. Help, please!!

Thank you. I tried the soft reboot again, and the home button has been working fine this whole time. I have tried deleting the email acct from the settings and the mail app still opens only empty frames. I have a screen shot of it, but don't know how to post it here to be able to show what exactly is happening.
The mail app will open. I can see the area that usually shows the messages themselves. I can also see the area that usually displays all the accts. Both these areas are completely blank. The search bar is showing on the left hand side, and up on the top right, the download button, reply, delete and compose buttons are showing. At the very bottom left the refresh button is showing. The app sits like that for about 20 seconds and then automatically closes. None of the buttons are responsive. I cannot see any of the email accounts I have in the app (3, usually but 2 at the moment since deleting the acct that seemed to have caused this problem).
I have force-stopped the app, shut down and restarted the iPad, and rebooted the iPad. None of these have helped.
