Wrong path access table ESKN on transaction COHV
Hallo.
When I execute transaction COHV the performance are bad.
I investigated and I found the statement:
for example
select * from eskn where mandt = '100' and aufnr = '1171132' and loekz = ' ';
very long beacause it doesn't use the index
ESKN~G
with column
MANDT, AUFNR
If I execute the statement:
select * from eskn where aufnr = '1171132' and loekz = ' ';
index is used and statement are fast
So it seems that the MANDT brings the problem.
I have Oracle 11.2.0.2 and upgraded two months ago from Oracle 10.2.0.4
When I was in Oracle 10.2.0.4 there wasn't the problem.
Could you help me?
Thanks.
Mario
I obtain:
SQL> select distinct(AUFNR) from sapsr3.ESKN;
AUFNR
SQL>
so no value it seems.
I collect statistics using brtools:

Web Application Transaction Monitoring Alerts with "wrong" Path
Hello,
i have created some web transaction monitors, such as
http://foo.htm who is hosted on the server foo123.cologne.org.
It works.. but
we have also a mssql monitoring, the discovery of the mssql management pack discovers the reporting part of mssql server on our managementserver Operations12.cologne.org. So (it's right..) the server Operations12.cologne.org is a member of the SQL Instances;SQL
Compontents;SQL Computers group.
When the web transaction monitor generates an alert, it have the pathname Operations12.cologne.org and not the pathname of the "right" server foo123.cologne.org.
For our mssql admins i have build an email-notification, when somethings going wrong at our sql servers (member of the SQL Instances;SQL Compontents;SQL Computers group) they received a mail.
The problem is, that they received a mail, when a web transaction monitor generated one, because the pathname is the name of our management server, because the management server is a member of thos sql server groups.
Someone have an idea to fix my "problem"?
- Best way: changing the path names of the web transaction monitorings... but how? i can't find anything to change..
Kind regards
Wolfgang WinterThank you, it's a help to decide, what to do, so i have to solutions:
- installing an agent to the web-appliction-hosting-server and configure it as a watcher node
(may be i will have problems with our firewall admins, because they have to allow the communications and.. when the hosting watcher is down, i have no alerts.. when i use more than one watcher nodes (good).. i have the wrong path names..
- configure a part of our management server group without SQL-Reporter Component as a watcher node
(more easy, because i have to tell my firewall admins: "the server foo456 is the standard watcher node"
Crazy.. because i don't know, how to assign the web transaction monitors to the "causing" server.., for mail notification and for our integration to HP Service Desk... -

Regarding Provisioning a user to Database Access Tables
Hi,
I've just completed with the installation of OIM 9101 and upgradation of 9101 to 9102. I'm facing a bit wierd. When I try to create a GTC for the Database Access Tables, I'm not able to see Database Access Tables option, in the drop down list for the Transport Provider.
I'm a bit confused if I've wrongly upgraded the system or if at all i've missed out some step. Though OIM seems to be ok and working fine.
Any suggestions as to how to solve this ?
Regards
NikhilThanks Prakash,
The issue has been resolved.
I'd like a bit more of your help. I'm facing an error as follows :

This Error seems to occur because I was trying to attach certain pre-prop adapters within the default process form that is created while installing the connector. Roaming around the threads here, I came to know that this might be the problem as pre-props don't work fine when applied to the GTC's default form.
To overcome this problem, I've thought of a solution wherein I should create a new Custom Process Form and then apply my pre-props. But for this approach, I'm stuck into the middle. How can I apply a new Custom Form to an existing Provisioning Process ? Is this fesiable ? If yes, where should the changes be made ?
I tried changing the Table Name inside the GTC's provisioning process so that GTC can pick up the my new process form instead of its default process form, but that again gives an error saying :
com.thortech.xl.orb.dataaccess.tcDataAccessException: DB_READ_FAILEDDetail: SQL: select err_key, err_code, err_desc, err_rowver, err_remedy, err_count, err_last_occurance, err_action, err_help_url, err_severity from err where err_code='DOBJ.UPDATE_FAILED'Description: Got a null connectionSQL State: Vendor Code: 0Additional Debug Info:com.thortech.xl.orb.dataaccess.tcDataAccessException
I hope the scenario is clear to you and i'm able to explain upto the mark .. :(
Kindly help me out..

Hi
Sorry to post it here, but I was unable to find where We can post JavaFX Issues.
This is a minor issue, but need to be adressed.
I always set my java Console to shown, to test my applets, etc.
While testing some JavaFX, I could note that JavaFX has a wrong path, or a wrong path chaining:

DB Tool List Table: How to access tables which are in different SQL database ?
Hi, All,
I'm working on a database application (SQL server) and is evaluating the NI DB Tool kit for this project.
One of the requirement is that I need to access tables which are in two different database
(say Table A in DB 1 and Table B in DB 2).
Our IT guys has linked Table A in DB1 to DB 2 and I verfied this when I use the SQL server managment studio.
When DB 2 tables are populated, Table A from DB1 is also there. I can also do the same thing using MS Access.
Table A in DB1 is avalaible to me enven though I only connect to DB 2.
Here comes the problem.
When I use DB Tool List Table.vi to access DB2, it does NOT list Table A in DB1. It only list the tables in
the database (DB2) which I make connection to (using DB Tool Open Connection.vi with a file DSN)
So my work around right now is to open two seperate connection to DB1 and DB2. However, this approach
obviously creates a problem when I have to access seperate database constantly in my application.
What would be a solution to this ? I've search the forum but only see one post that's somewhat related to
my question. (And it was posted on 2004) Perhaps I need to alter the code in the orignial VI (DB Tool List Table.vi)??
My IT guy told me he has not encountered this scenario since he writes codes in other enviroment such as
VB and others, and he's always been successful by linking tables to different database.
I hope my question is sound and clear since I really don't know much about database terminology.
Any comment/suggestion is much appreciated !!!
Thanks
Chad
Solved!
Go to Solution.To josborne:
To answer your question:
- Are the two databases contained on the same SQL Server instance?
Or are the databases on separate instances? I assume they are on
separate servers, otherwise this wouldn't really be an issue. But its
good to know because it will affect how you build your SQL statements.
Yes they are on separate instances.
- Ask your IT people specifically how they "linked Table A in DB1 to
DB 2". I assume they used "linked servers".
Maybe I used the wrong terminology "linked." They created a "View of Table A (DB1)" in DB2 using the management studio.
Here is a screen shot of that. As you can see, dbo.VISUAL_WORK_ORDER is seen under LABVIEW database in the management studio.
I also see the same table when I make connection to database using MS Access.
Could you elaborate on "configure your SQL statement correctly" =) ? The purpose of using LabView's took kit is so that I can do
minimum SQL statements. Are you talking about modifying LabView's native VI (DB Tool List Table.vi) ?
Thanks for the information. SQL is just something new to me. -
Saving data into two tables "in one transaction"
Hello everybody!
My scenario is the following: SAP PI receives message containing some data (header and MULTIPLE details data in one message) and has to transfere this data to a database.
In the database there are two tables for storing the data contained in the message: one for HEADER data and one for DETAILS data. I need to save all the data (header and MULTIPLE details data) into these two tables "in one transaction" and roll back saving of HEADER data and DETAILS data if saving of some DETAILS data has failed.
I am going to use receiver JDBC adapter for this purpose.
My questions are:
1. How can I save all the data "in one transaction"? Will it work if I transform the source message into the target message which looks something like this?
<root>
<StatementName1>
<dbTableName action=u201CUPDATE_INSERTu201D>
<table>HEADER_table</table>
<access>
<col1>val1</col1>
<col2>val2</col2>
</access>
<key1>
<col1>val1</col1>
</key1>
</dbTableName>
</StatementName1>
<StatementName2>
<dbTableName action=u201CUPDATE_INSERTu201D>
<table>DETAILS_table</table>
<access>
<col1>val1</col1>
<col2>val3</col2>
</access>
<key1>
<col1>val1</col1>
</key1>
</dbTableName>
</StatementName2>
<StatementName3>
<dbTableName action=u201CUPDATE_INSERTu201D>
<table>DETAILS_table</table>
<access>
<col1>val1</col1>
<col2>val4</col2>
</access>
<key1>
<col1>val1</col1>
</key1>
</dbTableName>
</StatementName3>
</root>
2. How to roll back saving of HEADER data in the case of saving of DETAILS data has failed?
3. What will be the response structure returned by database look like in the case of success?
Thanks,
VikaI guess the response in my case will be something as following?
<response>
<Statement1_response>
<row>
<update_count>1</update_count>
<insert_count>0</insert_count>
</row>
</Statement1_response>
<Statement2_response>
<row>
<update_count>0</update_count>
<insert_count>1</insert_count>
</row>
<row>
<update_count>0</update_count>
<insert_count>1</insert_count>
</row>
</Statement2_response>
</response>

How to access table ADR6 from smartform
I'm trying to get the email address of a customer in my smartform but I don't know how to pass table ADR6 to my smartform. I've tried using a SELECT statement from ADR6 but nothing ever gets set to the variable, so I'm guessing I need to store the table into a local workspace first? How do I do this? If I'm on the wrong path can someone tell me how to pass in an external table that has no connection to your form interface variables being passed in?
Hi,

Need not to store the whole table. SELECT statement works in this case. In Global declaration-->Types define the structute with the fields u want to display. like this
TYPES: begin of type_adr6,
ADDRNUMBER like ADR6-ADDRNUMBER,
SMTP_ADDR like ADR6-SMTP_ADDR,
end of type_adr6.
and then declare it in Global data Tab like this
WA_ADR6 TYPE TYPE_ADR6
end then write SELECT statement in program lines node and fetch the required fields into the work area WA_ADR6.
now u display these fields.

URGENT:Update multiple rows of a table as a transaction
Hi,
I am trying to update mutliple rows in one table as a transaction, but only update on the last row is commited to database. Updates on the previous rows is not committed.
I must be missing some thing which is obvious. Has any got a clueeeeeeeeeee?
code:
for (int i = 0; i < selectedFaultNumbers.length; i++) {
String nationalFaultNumber = selectedFaultNumbers;
String fault = nationalFaultNumber.substring(0,13);
national_faultsRowSet2.setCommand("SELECT national_faults.national_fault_number, national_faults.status_id, national_faults.master_fault_number FROM national_faults WHERE national_faults.national_fault_number= '"+fault+"'");
national_faultsRowSet2.execute();
if (national_faultsRowSet2.next()) {
national_faultsRowSet2.updateInt("status_id", FAULT_STATUS_ASSOCIATED);
national_faultsRowSet2.updateString("master_fault_number",nationalfltno);
national_faultsRowSet2.updateRow();
national_faultsRowSet2.execute();
Any help wil be GREATLY appreciated.
Cheers
kushHi Giri,
Thanks for getting back to me.
If I understood correct, sample example updates a rowset which is bound to datatable and changes are committed to database using datatablemodel.
In my case rowset is not bound to a datatable and user is not updating the rowset.
PageBean has to update few rows in a table when a new row is inserted in to that table.
Please correct me if I got it wrong. Is there any other solution ???
Thanks very much

Oracle access tables in SQLServer through Transparent Gateway
HI,
I want to access tables in SQLServer2000 through Oracle Transparent Gateway, but i could not get the resqult when I excute sql " select * from mytable@tg4msql".
everthing seems all right and when i use " *tnsping tg4msql* ", it also return OK:
Attempting to contact (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)
+(HOST = 192.168.255.10)(PORT = 1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SID=tg4msql)) (HS= OK))+
OK (20 毫秒)
but when i excute sql like " select * from mytable@tg4msql ", it does't return anything, just keeps quering till I kill my plsql.
it seems oracle tries to connect to SQLServer through database link but fail.
And i check Transparent Gateway debug log : ORACLE_HOME\tg4msql\trace\tg4msql_agt_964.trc,
the log stops when it gets the logon name.
thanks for answers~

Restrict Table in SE16 Transaction Code
Hi All,
Can we restrict some standard table(eg. Mara, mseg, mkpf) in SE16 trsanction code so that they can not browse the restricted tables.
Couple of days before SOX Audit was carried on and they send some conflicts. I am not able to make it what is these statrements, which i have mentioned in below.
SE16_CHANGE (Change SAP tables)
SE16_CHANGE_CURRENCIES (Change currency table)
SE16_CLIENT_TABLE (Change client table T000)
Thanks & Regards,
KrushnaHello,
You can restrict access to tables with authorisation object S_TABU_DIS.
If a query accesses a certain table when it is run, the user needs display authorization for authorization object S_TABU_DIS. Field DICBERCLS must contain the tables authorization groups.
This authorization object protects all tables from unauthorized access. If you are accessing tables that are part of a logical database, authorization for data access can be set up using the logical database.
This is the same authorization that you need in order to be able to display tables using either the Data Browser (transaction SE16) or the initial table maintenance screen (transaction SM31).
Hope this helps. -
I am trying to have access tables of the Sql Server through the Oracle
I am trying to have access tables of the Sql Server through the Oracle and this being occurred the error:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message: [Generic Connectivity using ODBC][H006] The init parameter <HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO> is not set.
Please set it in init <orasid>.ora file.
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from HSMSQL
I created the ODBC with name HSMSQL.
I made all the configurations in the archives
tnsnames.ora:
HSMSQL=
(DESCRIPTION=
(ADDRESS= (PROTOCOL = tcp)(HOST = wsus)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SID = HSMSQL)
(HS = OK)
listener.ora:
(SID_DESC = (SID_NAME=HSMSQL)
(ORACLE_HOME= C:\oracle\ora92)
(PROGRAM =hsodbc)
initHS_SID.ora:
HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = HSMSQL
HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = OFF
-- Create database link
create database link HSMSQL.US.ORACLE.COM
connect to TESTE identified by TESTE2
using 'HSMSQL';
But when I execute query the error occurs:
Select * from TabTeste@HSMSQL
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message: [Generic Connectivity using ODBC][H006] The init parameter <HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO> is not set.
Please set it in init <orasid>.ora file.
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from HSMSQL
Please they help me, thanks, Paulo.Hi,
It seems that your configuration is Ok. By the way, the workaround for this error is:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Transparent gateway for ODBC][H001] The environment variable <HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO> is not set.
* Set HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO in the hs{sid}init.ora file to the data source name.
Example: HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = <ODBC DataSource Name>
* Make sure the hs{sid}init.ora file exists in the ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin directory and has the same name as the SID in the LISTENER.ORA.
Example: If SID=hsodbc in the listener.ora file, then the hs{sid}init.ora file would be named ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin/inithsodbc.ora

Does StudioMX run ok on Intel iMac?
I'm thinking about buying a 20inch Intel iMac, but don't know if I can use Macromedia's Studio MX on it okay. I know that Dreamweaver (and presumably Studio) 8 runs okay on it, but I'd rather not have to upgrade just yet.
