WTC Config PPT

WTC, FYI

  • WTC config when WLS is clustered...

    How does this WTC works with tuxedo when WLS is clustered.
    I am using Tuxedo 8.0 and WLS 81. sp2.
    This is what I am trying to achieve.
    I have a tuxedo domain and two servers in WLS cluster. The WLS server has ejb's which provide identical sevices. These services must be accessed from tuxedo. I can make these two talk if WLS is not clustered. If WLS is clustered I see the tuxedo sending the transaction... but it reaches no where on the WLS side.., even though the -Dweblogic.wtc.TraceLevel=100000 is set.
    Here is the config.xml
    <WTCServer Name="CRSWTC1" Targets="crs-server1">
    <WTCLocalTuxDom AccessPoint="TDOM2" AccessPointId="TDOM2"

    Any help is appreciated...

    Well your second WTC server instance isn't targeted (deployed) to anything. So WTC is only running on one node in your cluster, crs-server1.
    What you want is to create a WTC server instance for each node in the cluster. To Tuxedo, each node in the cluster appears to be a separate domain. Then on the Tuxedo side in the domain gateway config file, import the service from each WLS domain (node).
    Does that make sense?

  • Every 2nd request from WTC fails

    Hi there,
    We are using WLS 10.0.1 integrated with Tuxedo 6.5 and have this strange situation where every second request sent from WLS to Tuxedo fails with "TPESYSTEM(12):0:0:TPED_MINVAL(0):QMNONE(0):0". There is no other associated message.
    Our call sequence consists of:
    ApplicationToMonitorInterface connection = tuxedoConnectionFactory.getTuxedoConnection();
    Reply reply = connection.tpcall(requestMapper.getServiceName(), requestMapper.getTypedFmlBuffer(),
    ApplicationToMonitorInterface.TPNOAUTH | ApplicationToMonitorInterface.TPNOTIME);
    process reply
    connection.tpterm();
    The tpcall is throwing a TPException on every second invocation. The amount of time (seconds or minutes) that passes between invocations seems to be irrelevent. I've tried various combinations of flags passed to the tpcall, including zero, with no apparent difference.
    I turned up WTC logging to try and troubleshoot the issue. Log fragments are pasted below.
    Note that the same reader thread "ExecuteThread: '4'" appears to be used for both calls, suggesting that they are both making use of the same TCP connection.
    A tcpdump of both calls reveals (apparently complete) outgoing request and incoming reply data in both cases. However, it looks as though WTC gets its input stream out of sync and (possibly) reads left over data from the 1st call. WTC ditches the connection when the 2nd call fails, so the 3rd call starts off with a brand new connection again.
    Any ideas?
    Please excuse the bulk, but here is the trace from the successful call:

    The Tuxedo version is 6.5 and the patch level as seen in the last line of $TUXDIR/udataobj/patchlev file is "389. CR093934 TUX 6.5 > HP-UX 11 64-bit /Domain is unable to connect to 32-bit domains"
    The OS, Tuxedo is running on is: "HP-UX B.11.11 U 9000/800 485721183 unlimited-user license"
    In the Tuxedo ULOG file, I can see that the MTS service has received the request from WTC and the response being logged as well, without any error. However immediately after the request is completed, error messages is logged. The extract of this message is shown below:

  • WTC in 7.0

    We finally got WTC in 7.0 to work my hand editing the config.xml file to
    move part of the WTC config. Apparently the console doesn't setup
    remote services properly.
    My question is there any tracing available in the WTC?
    Is there any monitoring that can be done on the health of WTC?
    If WTC dies (and it does!!!) is there a way to restart things without
    having to bounce our server??
    Thanks
    Tom

    I don't know the version info off the top of my head but it was the GA
    Release download off the Web site last week or so.

    Tom,
    The tracing for WTC in 7.0 is done by defining the weblogic.wtc.TraceLevel
    property when the server is started. The values for this property are the
    same
    as when TraceLevel was used as a startup class argument.
    (ie >=15000 for tbridge,>=25000 for gwt, >=55000 for jatmi, >= 65000 for
    corba)
    Note: This TraceLevel is in addition to settings for the server to send the
    debug output
    to the log file and what type of logging needs to be done(I usually just put
    it at Info to
    get everything).
    There are no WTC specific monitors that were added for 7.0.
    If the WTCServerMBean is untargeted and retargeted from/to a server
    then the service should reinitialize/restart without havinf to bring down
    the server.
    I'll check on why the console created the config.xml in the way your
    previous email shows. I guess you figured out that the tBridgeRedirect MBean
    should not be defined within the tBridgeGlobal MBean's scope. There were
    some fixes applied in March that may be applicable to this. Do you know
    the version information for the WLS product you have?

  • Wtc on WLS70!! help

    ThankS Bob, now Well I try, .. I have:Tuxedo 6.5, and in wtc_admin.pdf, says that:
    User Authenticaion for Tuxedo 6.5,... "Tuxedo 6.5 users should set the Interoperate
    parameter to Yes.TheAclPolicy and CredentialPolicy elements are ignored and the Tuxedo
    remote domain DOMAINID is authenticated as a local WebLogic Server user. If you require

    Carlos,
    In your DOM1CONFING it looks like you have a typo in
    the DOMAINID for TDOM2. That should be "TDOM2".
    Your other change for the port to "1007" was a good one.
    Go back to that, fix the DOM1CONFIG and try again.
    If you continue to have problems, turn on tracing on the
    WLS side to get additional debbugging info.

    Martti,
    This might be a problem for your sun node locating the default WTC dtd
    that is
    found via an http lookup. The following are notes from the latest release
    of the
    WTC admin guide
    "WebLogic Tuxedo Connector uses an external internet connection lookup
    the
    wtc_config.dtd file from the BEA DTD repository. You may need to use
    a local copy of the
    wtc_config.dtd file to meet the security requirements of your
    installation. If you need to create a local copy of the wtc_config.dtd,
    do the
    following:
    Save a copy of the wtc_config.dtd in your local directory. Make
    sure it is
    saved as a text file.
    Update the DOCTYPE declaration of the wtc_config.dtd in your local
    directory to reflect the new fully qualified path and file name.
    Remember
    to change the http to file.

  • Service Authentication How to

    Hi,
    I deployed samples apps and tested them successfully. We have Clarify CRM app
    which uses Tuxedo. Clarify has few services exposed which we can call to access
    the Business logic written and compiled in Clarify.
    I commented the SECURITY USER_AUTH parameter in ubbconfig file for testing. I
    was able to test the services OK.
    In production we run tuxedo with SECURITY set to USER_AUTH.
    So If I have to test a service using ud32, I do the following
    tuxedo@voou30> ud32 -U lname
    Enter Application Password :

    Thank you so much for taking the time to answer.
    I just finished testing and with SECURITY set to none in both domain config and
    wtc config, I was able to access the services though the ubbconfig is set to USER_AUTH.
    Now it is clear to me how domain level security works.
    Again thank you for the details provided.
    off to testing again...................:-)

    I just want to followup with few more questions. Sorry am not toofamiliar with
    tuxedo.
    In the Clarify system, we have two servers "clearad", and "cleard".Clearad is
    used for user authentication and Cleard for business logic. I founda sample Client
    code written in c to access services in Clarify via tuxedo and i amattching it
    to this posting. In the code they are setting username, applicationpassword and
    user password in a structure TPINIT.
    // create and init a TPINIT structure
    tpinfo = (TPINIT *)tpalloc( "TPINIT", NULL,
    sizeof(TPINIT));
    if (!tpinfo) {
    (void)userlog("--ERROR--out of mem\n", "memory error");
    printf("--ERROR--out of mem\n", "memory error");
    return 0;
    strcpy(tpinfo->usrname, (char *) "sa");// clarifyusername
    strcpy(tpinfo->cltname, "clarify");// always clarify
    strcpy(tpinfo->passwd, "clarify");//always clarify
    strcpy(tpinfo->grpname, "");
    tpinfo->flags = TPU_DIP|TPSA_FASTPATH;//defaults
    tpinfo->datalen = strlen("freshen")+1;
    strcpy((char *) &tpinfo->data, (char *) "freshen");
    // tpinit authenticates by calling AUTHSVC from clearad
    ******This fragment of code is for log-in into Tuxedo application. Tuxedo
    will authenticate the password and give permission for the client to
    access
    Tuxedo. Then the Tuxedo AUTHSVR will authenticate the client and create
    user credential. These are done independent of Tuxedo TDOMAIN gateway.
    If I set security to NONE in both domain gateway and WTC config file,can i still
    access the exposed services? I dont really need any security becausethe
    two systems
    YES. You still can access from TUXEDO to WTC and vice versa.
    The only thing missing is that the session may not be safe. In this
    case the application better be deployed behind a firewall.
    that are talking (tuxedo and wls) in this case belong to same app andthey mostly
    do backend operations and not used by users.
    Do I have to have some thing similar to TPINIT in my java code to accessthe services?
    NO. In JAVA if you don't set up property for SECURITY_PRINCIPAL and
    SECURITY_CREDENTIAL then the user is treated as anonymous user. In this
    case as long as TUXEDO is not configured with ACL or MANDATORY_ACL then
    there is no problem for anonymous user to access TUXEDO service.
    There are many factors that are used in deciding who you are and what
    kind of previleges you have. Both Tuxedo UBBCONFIG and DMCONFIG have
    attributes that you can customize them according to your need.
    For accessing from Tuxedo to WLS is a little different. By default WLS
    does have access control on. There are several things you can do.
    1. the Tuxedo user to access WLS as anonymous user
    2. the Tuxedo user to access WLS as a specific user
    3. the Tuxedo user to access WLS as themselves
    The WTC configuration and WLS user will be different depends on which
    way you want to go. (refers the WCT administration manual)
    Because from what you said in the reply, I need to have a matchingpassword (DMCONFIG
    and WTC config file). If I have SECURITY set to USER_AUTH in ubbconfig,You only need matching Domain (connection/session principal) password
    if
    you want to authenticate the session. If you don't need this kind of
    session security then you don't need these passwords.
    do I have
    to somehow pass security credentials in order to access services onTUXEDO? Because
    The USER_AUTH for SECURITY attribute in the UBBCONFIG is for TUXEDO
    application not for DOMAIN. So setting USER_AUTH has no direct
    consequence of DOMAIN session authentication.
    with ud32 utility, I have to provide user name and passwords (listedin my original
    posting) when security is set to USER_AUTH and however I do not haveto provide
    any credentials if SECURITY is commented out in ubbconfig.You only need to do this for Tuxedo user. However, if your SECURITY(in
    UBBCONFIG) level is set to ACL and above and you have ACL_POLICY(in
    DMCONFIG) set to LOCAL then you also have to add the remote domain id
    (also call remote access point id) as a Tuxedo principal/user using
    tpusradd. In this case all the remote user from WLS will have the same
    credential as the remote domain id. If your ACL_POLICY is set to GLOBAL
    and your WTC CREDENTIAL_POLICY is set to GLOBAL then WTC will propagate
    user credential (by translating WLS credential to Tuxedo credential
    format) to TDOMAIN gateway, and that particular user credential will
    be
    used to access Tuxedo service. In this case the WLS user better be a
    valid Tuxedo user. (you can add them through tpusradd) THIS FEATURE
    IS
    CALLED SINGLE SIGN-ON.
    Hope the above information will be helpful for understanding how the
    security works in Tuxedo/WLS environment.
    Regards,
    Honghsi :-)
    Thank You

    Hi Raju,
    It all depends on what you want to do. A Tuxedo security change,
    as
    you
    mentioned in your original email, does not change what is going on
    through the Gateway. There are two types of security you can configure
    for a TDOMAIN session (connection) between WTC and GWTDOMAIN.
    1. The session (connection) authentication - done once
    This is for making sure only allowed remote party can connect to
    local
    Gateway. To do it you need to configure both WTC and GWTDOMAIN.
    In Tuxedo DMCONFIG file you have to add "SECURITY" attribute foryour
    LOCAL TDOMAIN. Please refer to dmconfig(5) for the descriptionof
    the
    legal values for this attribute, and choose one that is appropriate
    to
    your purpose. If you choose DM_PW then you can use "dmadmin" toadd
    the passwords for the session.(refers to dmadmin(1))
    (most of the following information based on 6.x WLS. For 7.0 and
    above you can do it from WLS console)
    If the SECURITY is not NONE then you also need to configure yourWTC
    with same security level for T_DM_LOCAL_TDOMAIN. (this also
    depends on the release the tag name may be different) Use
    weblogic.wtc.gwt.genpasswd to generate encrypted password withXML
    tags. Cut and paste it to the T_DM_PASSWORD in BDMCONFIG if
    the security is DM_PW, cut and paste it to T_DM_RESOURCE if the
    security is APP_PW.
    This should answer your first question.
    2. For authentication of every actual request I assume you mean checking
    the Access Permission. (because the USER already authenticatedin
    Tuxedo, or the connection principal already authenticated when
    session
    started)
    TUXEDO: you need to add ACL_POLICY(both Tux 7.1 and Tux 8.0) and
    CREDENTIAL_POLICY(Tux 8.0) to the DM_REMOTE section. (refer toto
    dmconfig(5) in Reference manual)
    You set both attributes to GLOBAL.
    WTC: you need to do the same as Tux 8.0 by adding AclPolicy="GLOBAL"
    and CredentialPolicy="GLOBAL". You also have to copy Tuxedo'sTPUSR
    file to WTC environment if WLS and Tuxedo runs in 2 different
    machine or have different effective user id.
    Add TpUsrFile="yourTpUsrFileFullPathName" to the BDMCONFIG.
    If the access from Tuxedo user to WLS EJB is allowed then you need
    you add users to the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml "security-role-assignment"
    (refer to WLS document). In your ejb-jar.xml you add "security-role"
    to the "assembly-descriptor". (for more detail refer to WLS doc)
    I believe WTC document contains sample weblogic-ejb-jar.xml and
    ejb-jar.xml that are for ACL.
    this should answer your 2nd question.

  • Cannot open Office 2013 Excel, Word, PPT Files on Network Share

    Cannot open Office 2013 Excel, Word, PPT Files on Network Share
    I am having a problem opening any Office 2013 file when it is located on a network drive. I immediately get the error:
    "Microsoft Excel cannot open or save any more documents because there is not enough available memory or disk space.
    . To make more memory available, close workbooks or programs you no longer need.
    . To free disk space, delete files you no longer need from the disk you are saving to."
    It only occurs when I try to access the file when it is stored on a network share. I cannot open any word, excel or PPT files located on my file shares.
    I am on Windows 8 (pro), part of a local domain based on Server 2003, and have administrator rights to the domain and the file share where the Excel file resides (and Word files -same problem). If I copy the file locally, I can either open
    it directly, or right-click, go to Properties and 'un-block' the file and then open it. But it is impractical to keep doing this, as I edit different files from the directory tree all day.
    I have bing'd and google'd this extensively, and the only answers I come up with do not work, such as going into the DCOM config system and changing the user from interactive to launching user, or vice versa, or even using a specific user - mine
    with the password. Since the product is so young there aren't a lot of posts on this, and nothing has improved the situation.
    Can you add any insight to this? I really want to use Office 2013, but this is such an obstacle I'm going to have to downgrade if this problem cannot be resolved. Thank you very much for any help you can offer.
    Evan

    Dear Evan,
    If DCOM config solution did not work, I'd suggest narrow down the problem by trying to access another network share on another server, try to open an Office file there, do we still have the error? It could help us determine if the issue is on the client
    machine or the server side.

    When opening any Microsoft documents ( docx, ppt etc) in SharePoint 2013,

    In Chrome : Pops (Microsoft Office needs your permission) message and on clicking RUN, it opens the document.
    In Firefox : the documents opens, after asking which application do you want to use to open it.
    The feature (Open Documents in Client Applications by Default) is not activate.
    Why the MS documents are not working in IE 10?

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to open Microsoft documents in SharePoint 2013.
    I recommend to Run the following PowerShell in OWA Server :
    Remove-OfficeWebAppsHost # To Remove any restriction
    Or
    New-OfficeWebAppsHost -Domain <String> # To allow specific domain Name
    In addition, you can allow OAuth via HTTP using the following commands:
    $config = (Get-SPSecurityTokenServiceConfig)
    $config.AllowOAuthOverHttp = $true
    $config.Update()

  • Changes in web.config on all web sites

    Hello.
    I have a strange problem.
    last month we made some changes in the web.config file for some of our web sites do to a problem.
    the problem was when user try to open a office file ( word,excel,ppt ) in a read write mode in internet explorer 11 or in office 2013.
    and the fix was: specifying custom HTTP response headers like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <configuration>
       <system.webServer>
          <httpProtocol>
             <customHeaders>
                <clear />
                <add name="X-UA-Compatible"
    value="IE=EmulateIE7" />
             </customHeaders>
          </httpProtocol>
       </system.webServer>
    </configuration>
    after applying this lines in the web.config the problem was solved.
    today a customer complained about the same problem that we fix in the changes we have made.
    after check the web.config on those sites we have notice that the changes was
    disappear ( like magic ).
    I have checked all of our websites in the same farm and i notice that all of the web.config files was modified in the same date and time, its happend on
    28/11/2013 :00:00 midnight.
    I have tried to view the sharepoint log files from this date, but i do not have them (
    Number of days to store log files 14 ).
    what could be the reason for this automatic changes in the web.config?

    Could their have been updates pending that were just waiting for a restart of the web server? Can you check to see if your server did a reboot at that time?
    or
    In Central Admin, are there any timer jobs that execute maybe monthly at midnight?

  • Performance Management - Transporting "Define Tabs and Process config"

    Good Morning Experts,
    We are moving from Development into our PPT (pre-production test) environment and have successfully transported the Performance management category settings/values, as well as the Template itself.
    Upon executing the Performance Management toolset from the portal side, I see that my tab configuration for the template did not transport.  I have searched high and low for any reference to transporting this config step, but have been unsuccessful, thus this post.
    Does anyone have any suggestions for transporting this configuration.  As you know the IMG Personnel Management > Personnel Development > Objective Setting and Appraisals > Define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template launches a webdynpro app to make this configuration step, so saving these setup selections is the only option.   How can I force these changes across ? I look forward to your responses !
    Chris Thomas
    Duke University and Health System

    All - the solution:
    SAP Note 1428054, implement the corrections according to the note.
    Run the report, RHHAP_Transport_tab_config which will generate the transport containing entries from tables:
    hrhap_tab
    hrhap_tab_data
    hrhap_tab_t
    Basis implemented, I ran report,  transported the tabs and and all is well.

    Hi.
    First, I'll say that I know very little about WTC. However, from the following
    link I don't know that WTC is supported with WLS 6.1:
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wtc/wtc10/notes/WTC_ReleaseNotes_New.html#1109022
    This link says it's only supported with WLS 6.0 sp2. I suggest you download
    this version and try again. If you are still having problems then you should
    open a case with support.

  • WTC problem

    Hi,
    I'a new with tuxedo and I have to test the integration between weblogic integration(weblogic8.1) and the bea tuxedo product.
    I've installed the bea tuxedo(9) and run the qsample example.
    This one is ok. What I want to test now is the functionality with wtc to post message from jms to tuxedo queue and receive messages from tuxedo queue to jms.
    I've configured the wtc connector with the Bridge and 2 redirections. I've also changed the ubbconfig file in order to add the dmadm, gwadm and gwtdomain. I've also created the dmconfig file. All seems to be ok.
    But when I try to post a message on the jms queue, I received a message error and the message is enqueued to the jms error queue. The message is :
    <cgServer> <Thread-11> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <BEA-180046> </tBexec/jmsQ2tuxQ/t#1 TPException explanation: TPENOENT(6):0:0:TPED_MINVAL(0):QMNONE(0):0:Could not find service QSPACE>
    After reading and rereading the documentation on the gateway and wtc, I still don't understand what's wrong with the config.
    Has anyone an idea?
    Thanks,
    Rodrigue

    Yes, I use TMQFORWARD. In the jmsQ2TuxQ(a part of the WTC configuration for bridge), I've put as:
    reply queue : RPLYQ(a queue that I've created on QSPACE), target Qspace : QSPACE(the name of the qspace on the remote domain)
    and as Queue name : STRING(which is also with TMQFORWARD the name of the service).
    Then I don't understand why the wtc says it doesn't find the
    QSPACE service. Why it doesn't search the STRING service?
    In which config file is the error(in the ubbconfig?)?
    Thanks
