WUC-18 error from Webutil demo program WU_TEST

I get the following odd error when running the demonstration form wu_test.
WUC-18 Invalid server side file specification http://<host>:888/forms90/f90servletwebutil/jacob.dll.
Why /f90servletwebutil/ ?

Any ideas?

Hi
There is a known problem with JInitiator 1.3.1.13
In your webutil.cfg change the appropriate line to something like this
install.syslib.location=http://localhost:8888/forms90/webutil

    There are 8 bean areas in the form and that matches the 8 ClassNotFound exceptions. My default-web-access.log file states GET /forms90/java/oracle/forms/webutil/clientInfo/GetClientInfo.class HTTP/1.1" 404 188 for all of the classes in the form and I believe a 404 code is not good. I have put all files in place (jacob,webutil), signed all, loaded latest jinitiator, referenced the object in the form and the form actually runs no problem except for the beans. Everything looks good and I am completely stumped at this point.
    Here are some files I have modified that point to the java files:
    The webutil.jar and jacob.jar files are in c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\lib.
    orion-web.xml added:
    <virtual-directory virtual-path="/webutil" real-path="c:\oradevel/forms90/webutil/lib" />
    formsweb.cfg added:
    #added for webutil functionality
    webUtilArchive=/forms90/webutil/webutil.jar,/forms90/webutil/jacob.jar
    baseHTMLjinitiator=c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\server\webutiljini.htm
    baseHTMLjpi=c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\server\webutiljpi.htm
    baseHTML=c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\server\webutilbase.htm
    default.env added:

    Trent, let me answer you questions..
    "Why doesn't someone just please post the answer instead of passing the buck?"
    The error you report is a SYMPTOM of a underlying problem which USUALLY points to the issues documented in the FAQ. We have infact pointed you to a document that specifically outlines the POSSIBLE issues. However, you need to do some investigation - there can be many reasons why this symptom appears...I'm sorry that you think by pointing you to this that you thought we were passing the buck.
    "Your help would be greatly appreciated by myself and countless other oracle developers!" - which is exactly why we documented this in the FAQ....by posting it in the FAQ it leads people to all the common issues and is searchable on other forums as well.
    A final point - this forum is a self help group; a community of like minded people, many of who spend much valuable time helping others; if people are taking the time to help answer your questions its certainly not an indication of buck passing...they have infact gone out of their way to help..
    Hope that helps clarify and I hope the document helps solve your issues.

  • Logging errors from job's program

    Hello,
    I want to log error returned from the job's program and I wonder whether it is possible at all.
    What I have done is:
    1) write a procedure
    2) create a program executing this procedure
    3) create a job running this program
    From time to time this procedure returns error (it does some operation on objects and sometimes some of them are invalid). Normally, this error causes job to finish it's action (job failure as well). I needed this job to proceed so I added a clause 'exception when others then null'. Now it works, but it's a temporary solution because I need to capture this error and log it, so that it is available for further investigation.
    I searched through oracle doc and it seems the only choice is to create my own table or file and log the results into it.
    Does any of you know any other way? For example to log it in somehow into system tables (like dba_scheduler_job_run_details).
    Thanks in advance,
    Aliq

    Hi Dharmesh,
    Thanks for responding.
    This is a large deployment involving hundreds of applications and servers. My responsibility is to come up with development guidelines for applications hosted on TS. I have gone through the guidelines
    posted by Microsoft @
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa383490(v=vs.85).aspx. But it didn't cover the topic on logging.
    Do you know whether Microsoft has published any other document on this topic.
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Obviously you have the IBM java tools installed on your PC, and your classpath starts with IBM Connectors\...
    What you need to do is to edit your classpath environment variable in control panel->systems, and use quotation marks for any long directory/file names, or directory names with spaces in them. For example, change C:\IBM Connectors\classes to "C:\IBM Connectors\classes". Then it will work.

  • FRM-92101 in wu_test (the webutil demo form)

    Error:
    FRM-92101 in wu_test (the webutil demo form)
    Problem:
    I am attempting to run the wu_test form, downloaded with demos for webutil 1.02.
    Running wu_test or another form containing webutil functions results in
    FRM-92101 in the form's window and the following error in the OC4J console.
    "Forms session <1> aborted: unable to communicate with runtime process."
    Environment:
    Java Client: Tried with both Sun Java Plug-In 1.4.2.04/5 and Jinitiator 1.3.1.17
    Application Server: Oracle 9.0.4 iDS (Orion Development OC4J)
    Database: Enterprise Edition 10.1.0.2.0
    Forms Listener Servlet
    Attempted Solutions:
    I have scoured OTN & MetaLink & tried everything I could find with no luck. I
    apologize for the length of this post, but I want to provide as much information
    as possible re: what I've tried and my environment.
    For instance, the remedy in Note 252600.1, which can cause these symptoms, did
    not help.
    This note states:
    In webutil.cfg modify
    install.syslib.location to an absolute URL, replacing the line:
    install.syslib.location=/webutil
    To an absolute URL like:
    install.syslib.location=http://[host]:[port]/forms90/webutil
    (replacing [host] and [port] with your own values) or
    install.syslib.location=//../webutil
    Other Information:
    Other forms (ones that don't contain webutil functions/beans) run fine with the same
    env and config used for webutil.
    The wu_test form is already set up so first navigation item is not on the
    webutil canvas, but on the "demo" canvas.

    most of the time this means that your webutil.pll isn't good attached but it is very dependant on the versions you working on.
    Post your versions of forms ias and webutil.
    In older version it is sometimes necessary to first subclass the webutil group and then attach the webutil.pll. Other way around didn't work (was in beta version 1.02 I believe)

  • WUC-20 errors openning form using webutil

    We have configured several forms to use Webutil. We have moved a Windows 9iAS deployment to Linux. When running under linux we get WUC-20 errors for files jacob.dll, d2kwutil.dll and JNIsharedstubs.dll. I wondered if the file sizes were slightly changed by moving them to linux. Checking the size with 'ls -l' verifies that they are the same as in the webutil.cfg file.
    Any suggestions to resolve this?

    Thanks for the reply.
    I believe I have delt with the CRLF characters and have done so again and rechecked.
    I have run the application on a pc without a Jinitiator install and have found the three dlls do not appear to be downloading properly so that I have the three files showing as 1KB in C:\program files\oracle\jinitiator 1.3.1.9\bin.
    Any advice would be much appreciated.

  • Unsupport encoding error in demo program

    I downloaded the xdk C++ version 9.0.1 for Sun Solaris. I compiled the demo for parsers.
    I run one of the demo program, I got the following error:
    XML C++ DOM sample
    Initializing XML package...
    Failed to initialize XML parser, error 201.
    error 201 which stands fo unsupport encoding.
    Which encoding should I use for all the demo xml files?
    thanks

    The environment variable ORA_NLS33 must be set to point to the location of the NLS data files. On Unix systems, this is usually $ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/nls/admin/data. On Windows NT, this is usually $ORACLE_HOME/nlsrtl/admin/nlsdata. Starting with version 9.0.1, C and C++ XDK releases that are downloaded from OTN contain an nlsdata/ subdirectory. You must set the environment variable ORA_NLS33 to the absolute path of the nlsdata/ subdirectory if you don't have an Oracle installation.

    I am trying to update ITunes from 10.4 to 10.5 I have tried from both the program, and from a download on Apple's website. Regardless, I get the following error messages: (1) Installation package for iTunes cannot be found. Try installing to find the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in a folder from which you can install iTunes.  I can't find this folder. I have tried to completely unistall iTunes through the Control Panel, but it wouldn't let me: I tried going directly to the files themselves, but cannot uninstall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. System OS: Win XP SP 3.

    Set the permissions for Everyone in the folder in which CCPackager created, to "Read/Write" enabled. This is strange since there is only an administrator account on the Mac (and that account already has read/write), but it seems to resolve the issue.

  • Error on running JVM from a C program

    Hello there!!
    I'm using Open Watcom as a C compiler on Windows XP. I'm trying to run a JVM from a C program.
    I have specified the following as a library file :
    C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_04\lib\jvm.lib
    The code compiles very well, but I'm getting an error when running it.
    Windows tells me the following :
    "The entry point of the function ??_7VM_GetCurrentLocation@@6B@ can't be found in jvm.dll dynamic linking library"
    The code I've been trying to run is the following one :
    #include <jni.h>
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <stdlib.h>
    void main()
    JavaVMOption options[3];
    JavaVMInitArgs vm_args;
    JavaVM *jvm;
    JNIEnv *jenv;
    long result;
    jmethodID mid;
    jfieldID fid;
    jobject jobj;
    jclass cls;
    int asize;
    printf("coucou\n");
    getchar();
    options[0].optionString = ".";
    options[1].optionString = "-Djava.compiler=NONE";
    options[2].optionString = "-verbose:jni";
    vm_args.version = JNI_VERSION_1_2;
    vm_args.options = options;
    vm_args.nOptions = 3;
    vm_args.ignoreUnrecognized = JNI_FALSE;
    JNI_GetDefaultJavaVMInitArgs(&vm_args);
    result = JNI_CreateJavaVM(&jvm,(void **)&jenv, &vm_args);
    /* if(result == JNI_ERR )
    printf("Error invoking the JVM");
    exit (-1);
    cls = (*jenv)->FindClass(jenv,"C:\Formation\Joly\FromCtoJava\WATCOM\samples\ide\win32\FromCtoJava");
    /* if( cls == NULL )
    printf("can't find class FromCtoJava\n");
    exit (-1);
    (*jenv)->ExceptionClear(jenv);
    mid=(*jenv)->GetMethodID(jenv, cls, "<init>", "()V");
    jobj=(*jenv)->NewObject(jenv, cls, mid);
    fid=(*jenv)->GetFieldID(jenv, cls, "arraySize", "I");
    asize=(*jenv)->GetIntField(jenv, jobj, fid);
    printf("size of array is %d",asize);
    (*jvm)->DestroyJavaVM(jvm);*/
    Cheers
    Joly

    I already did PATH.
    Open a console window.
    Explicitly set PATH to point ONLY to the appropriate java directory (where the dll is and executable) using something like the following
    set PATH=C:\xxx\yyy
    Then run your app again in the console window - no where else.

  • Error when Consuming a WS from an ABAP program

    Hello,
    I am getting an error when I try to consume a WS from my ABAP program. The error states ' Unexpected element -el=definitions ns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/' and the code is SOAP: 14
    This should be a simple call to a WS from BOBJ. I have searched OSS and SDN and I can't find any help. We are using 7.01 SP3
    Actually I watched the blog by Thomas Jung to get me started and thing went well except forthe part where I was supposed to create the logical port via SOAMANAGER. I got this error 'Error: Initial value "context operation table" in methodDELETE_INVALID_INTERFACE_NODES of class CL_SRT_WSP_CONFIG_SIDL' so I used LPCONFIG instead and them SM59.
    Has anyone encountered something like this?
    Thanks!
    Rich

    Ok so I got the bright idea of putting an external breakpoint in the DELETE_INVALID_INTERFACE_NODES method of class CL_SRT_WSP_CONFIG_SIDL and interestingly I think I am on to something. The code that is throwing an expection is srt_wsp_error_is_initial lt_operations[] 'context operation table'. "#EC NOTEXT at approximentally line 89.
    So I am doing my amateur sleuthing in the debugger and it leads me to the WSDL and what looks like a missing operation for a port type. I say this b/c all the port type /port type  tags have operation/operation tags embedded within them. simliar to this
       <portType name="Real-time_Services" />
    - <portType name="Batch_Jobs">
    - <operation name="Oracle">
      <input message="tns:Oracle_Input" />
      <output message="tns:Oracle_Output" />
      </operation>
      </portType>
    - <portType name="Realtime_Service_Admin">
    - <operation name="Get_RTService_List">
      <input message="tns:Get_RTService_List_Input" />
      <output message="tns:Get_RTService_List_Output" />
      </operation>
    - <operation name="Run_Realtime_Service">
      <input message="tns:Run_Realtime_Service_Input" />
      <output message="tns:Run_Realtime_Service_Output" />
      </operation>
    - <operation name="Get_RTMsg_Format">
      <input message="tns:Get_RTMsg_Format_Input" />
      <output message="tns:Get_RTMsg_Format_Output" />
      </operation>
      </portType>
    Note the first port type = Real-time_services doesn't have an end port tag and in the debugger my ABAP is shortdumping when trying to proess this port type
    I think I found my error. Can anyone who has seen this before verify this for me before I give the WSDL creator heck
    Thanks
    Rich
