When I do a File to File Scenario, I am getting the following error.
Error Category XI_J2EE_ADAPTER_FILE
Error Code PROCESSING_ERROR

Can someone help me in this regard?

The XIAFUSER is used for connectivity between the Adapter Engine and the Integration engine. In this case, i think the problem is even becofr the file is picked up and the user id used to pick up / delete files is like I mentioned in my previous reply depending on the OS on which the XI server is running.

Hi All
My scenario is R/3 --> XI --> thirparty( file)
the messages are coming from SAP to XI successfully, but failing to reach third party from XI.
and i am unable to see these messages from SXMB_MONI,
But i am able see these messages from Runtime work bench, but ther if select any one failed message and click on details , i am getting the details poppu, in that i can see the message ID, but if i try to check that message from SXMB_MONI, i am geting a popup no message available.
I monitored Adopter engine,communication channel, and evrey thing fine and in green.
My main issue is

Problem with fixedlenthgs in receiver file adapter

HI,
I am doing XML to flat file scenario and using mutli mapping concept without BPM.
in the receiver file adapter I am using FCC with fixedlengths,then it generated just 3 output files out of nearly 100 source files.the errored one are succcessful in the SXMB_MONI and failing in RWB-->Message moni with waiting status and MDT says that XI_J2EE_ADAPTER_FILE ,Error Code PROCESSING_ERROR .
i tried in SDN and then found something like enable the disablesecurity check box in variable substitution parameters ,then I got 4 files out.
these are my FCC params for all structures:
struc1.fieldFixedLengths
struc1.fixedLengthTooShortHandling
struc1.endSeparator
and I tried with fieldSeparator then it gives successfully all output files.
so,where is the problem?I didnt understand?
any suggestion.

I felt the same way,but assumed that ,in that way fixedlenghths wont work.
in my target structure most of the fields have 0-1 occurences ,and even in the source structure too.so,I think it might be the reason.Then I have to make all my about 60fields 1-1 madatory and using mapWithDefaultValue function, as my sources are optional.
you think it will work just using the "mapWithDefaultValue" function without changing my occurences to 1-1 in the target structure(mandatory)?infact I can try but ,cos of pain for changing like 60 fields....:) and even dont know which fields are causing the problem,so that we can apply "mapWithDefaultValue" function only on those fields.

PI CCMS customisations in Java Stack MTE'S not saving

When trying to change the conditions for alerting in rz20 the follow exception is occuring in the java stack..
Exception in ConfigurationChangedListener:
Unexpected type (538976288).

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unexpected type (538976288).
at com.sap.engine.library.monitor.impl0.PerformanceMonitorNode.setAlertRelevantValueType(PerformanceMonitorNode.java:155)
this seems to be as a result of this exception, both are thrown when config changes are made in rz20 around the Adapter engine alerting.

It seems like there is something missing in the config, but I have no idea what PI 7.1, alerts are being raised and I can see them in rz20 I just cant change the config around the alerting. RZ20 also thinks the properties are saved, but they always reset once the screen has refreshed as it is not saving due to the exception.

FTP Receiver Adapter parameters

Hello everyone!
I have configured a scenario wherein XI sends a PO.xml file to a folder in an FTP server through the File Adapter (Receiver).
Right now, I'm getting an error:
Error Category: XI_J2EE_ADAPTER_FILE
Error Code: PROCESSING_ERROR
in the adapter engine.
Would anyone know what might be causing this?
Could you guys also confirm parameters in the receiver adapter configuration for me?
Here they are:
1. Target Directory:
Would this be an example of a correct entry: "c:\POxmls" ? Should the slashes be "\" or "/"
2. Filename scheme:
"POXML.xml"
3. Server:
203.121.78.163
4. Data Connection:
Passive
5. Connect Mode:
Permanently
6. Transfer Mode:
Binary
7. Empty-Message Handling:
Write Empty File should this be "Ignore" instead?
8. File Type
Text should this be "Binary" instead?
Anything else I missed out?

if JDBC is want to insert, update of delete etc and its fails becaus of invalid SQL querry, or data type mismatch etc
