  • Duplicate check for Connection Objects in CRM

    Hi,
    I want to implement a duplicate check for connection objects in CRM. The duplicate check shall use the address of the connection object and perhaps additonal attributes. I have found a duplicate check for business partners using the basis address service and TREX as index pool. However, I couldn't find a similar functionality for connection objects. Does somebody know:
    1) How to implement a duplicate check for connection objects which is based on the address of the connection object?
    2) Is there a way to use the TREX-based duplicate check which is integrated into the basis address service for connection objects?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Frank

    I also have a requirement to check for duplicate address at connection object level and we are using SAP data servies to validate the address. Can anyone share their experience.

  • PS3 Fighting With Other Devices for Connection

    What I currently have setup is an E2500 with a wired connection to a PS3. There are multiple other devices that operate on the wireless network, but only one seems to be causing issues. We have a Roku, that as soon as it starts streaming (Netflix) it seems to drain the PS3's connection.
    I've got QoS settings set by Mac addresses to give the PS3 a "high" priority and the Roku a "normal". However, it seems that the PS3 is getting NO preference when the other device is operating.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    As you might have heard, setting the Qos bandwidth to auto usually cuts people's upload bandwidth dramatically so could you try setting it to manual 1mbps.
    Then set your priority for the PS3 on high using its mac address.
    Another problem is that your upload speed is pretty low so i'm not surpised that you're having these kinds of issues. Who's your ISP?
    I don't work for Cisco. I'm just here to help.

  • Checking for connection in pro*c (8.1.7 libraries)

    Ok, I think this is probably an easy thing to do, but I do not have a lot of experience with pro*c and haven't been able to find anything in the online documentation.
    My problem is this: I am using dynamic sql method 4, to accept and pass along database queries from another application. I have no guarantee in this application that the requests i get will be syntactically or otherwise correct, and some errors will actually cause a disconnection from the server.
    I am currently using a hard-coded list of known disconnect-causing error codes to decide when I should try and reconnect, but I would much rather be able to query Oracle to find out whether I am connected. (rather than relying on an error -1012)
    Is there any quick and easy function call or embedded sql statement I can perform that will simply tell me whether I am connected?
    Corrolary: if there isn't a quick'n'easy way to do this, what if I just unconditionally do an EXEC SQL CONNECT before every query? Will that barf if I am already connected?

    i think i am in the wrong forum. that's ok :)

  • Checking for connection loss on sockets

    I am testing a server failiour in which on in.readLine() I need it to throw an exception. At the moment it already throws a connection reset exception although i am struggling to catch it myself. Any ideas how i can either handle the exception myself or how i can detect?
    Thanks

    At the moment it already throws a connection reset exception although i am struggling to catch it myself. Any ideas how i can either handle the exception myself or how i can detect? What's the problem? Why can't you catch it if you know that it's thrown? (Btw, I'm not totally sure that you will get that exception on all platforms)

  • Check for wifi and 3g connection

    I'm using the following code to check for a network connection. This seems to work fine with wifi, but I also want it to work if I only have 3G connection. How can I do this?
    Boolean success;
    const char *host_name = "www.domain.com";
    SCNetworkReachabilityRef reachability = SCNetworkReachabilityCreateWithName(NULL, host_name);
    SCNetworkReachabilityFlags flags;
    success = SCNetworkReachabilityGetFlags(reachability, &flags);
    _isDataSourceAvailable = success && (flags & kSCNetworkFlagsReachable) && !(flags & kSCNetworkFlagsConnectionRequired);
    CFRelease(reachability);

    Have a look at the "Reachability" example app. It does just what you are looking for (though I don't think it differentiates between Edge and 3G).

  • What is the easiest way to check for internet connection in C#?

    Hi!
    I searched a lot but I didn't get my answer. I'm looking for the easiest way to check for internet connection. Can you help me?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Pouya Ebrahimzadeh,
    I suggest you could connect a site to check if it can be opened.
    Public Shared Function CheckForInternetConnection() As Boolean
    Try
    Using client = New WebClient()
    Using stream = client.OpenRead("https://msdn.microsoft.com/")
    Return True
    End Using
    End Using
    Catch
    Return False
    End Try
    End Function
    If you have any other concern regarding this issue, please feel free to let me know.

  • I get the following message, when trying to check for updates on itunes:-  "The iTunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection or try again later".

    I get the following message when I go to "check for updates" on iTunes (I have XP on windows). Error message: "The iTunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection or try again later".
    My firewall (both anti virus firewall and windows firewall, are set up to allow itunes programme to work) - I also have set both internet explorer and chrome to allow
    apple website as an exception.
    However, I still get the same error message... can anyone help?
    Thanks

    Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

  • FireFox 3.6.8 & ThunderBird 3.1.2 check for updates never connects, nor does plug-in update or get plug-ins

    FireFox 3.6.8 & ThunderBird 3.1.2 check for updates never connects, nor does plug-in update or get plug-ins
    I am doing several re-installs.
    I installed FireFox 3.6.8 and ThunderBird 3.1.2 on a fresh install of Windows XP Home SP3 x32.
    All Windows updates and IE8, etc were done first after the WinXP install.
    IE8 works fine.
    Firefox can connect to the internet to view webpages, but NOT do a check for a newer version.
    (by going, on the main menu at the top, to Help --> Check for updates...)
    Neither can Tbird.
    See screenshots below.
    Neither Tbird nor Firefox will complete the add-ons check nor updates nor 'Browse All Add-ons' feature.
    (by going, on the main menu at the top, to Tools --> Add-ons --> Get Add-ons {upper left} or Find Updates {lower right for any of the selections})
    Another computer, same 'build' (different hardware, but WinXP SP3, etc) using a connection from the same router going out to the internet works fine, so it is not an overall connection problem outside of the individually affected computer.
    There is not yet any anti-virus nor firewall, etc installed that could be blocking things, except for Windows built in firewall, and there is no blocking action showing. Disabling it did not solve the issue.
    6 hours of searching has not found an answer. Trying some of the search results just to see has not proven to be successful.
    Thanks.

    dianej,
    Try this, go to tools, add-ons, extensions. if you have more than one (the latest) Java consoles, uninstall them. You only need the latest console and it should match the Java Platform in Plugins.
    I had a VERY similar problem displaying weatherunderground. It would not display the pages correctly and I would get pages of errors that stated
    "window.addEvent is not a function" I spent the last two hours fixing this problem. All I did was remove the 6.0.18, 6.0.19, 6.0.20 Java consoles from my 3.6.8 Firefox. After a FF restart, no more errors.
    There should be more information in FF when you update Java. No one tells you that you should go in and delete the older consoles.
    Good luck
    Mick

  • Why yahoo/gmail retrieval and facebook app so so slow when in WIFI. But using the internet to check for emails and facebook is fast using the same WIFI connection??

    Why yahoo/gmail retrieval and facebook app so so slow when in WIFI. But using the internet to check for emails and facebook is fast using the same WIFI connection??

    Hi SandyS_VZW,
    Yes tried resetting the wifi connection and problem still persist.
    Here it is...to make it clear. Connected thru the same wifi at home...
    -> emails (yahoo/gmail) and facebook WEBSITES are working fine and fast when using/accessing thru a browser (chrome/samsung browser) - no problem with this.
    -> emails (yahoo/gmail) and facebook APP is soooooo sloooww (thru the App). Slow I mean comparing it to using their browser/websites... news feeds/emails refreshing so quickly but not when using the APP installed in Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Slow like - It will take around 5-10minutes just to get your emails and news feed refreshed.
    THIS HAPPENS ONLY WHEN CONNECTED THRU A WIFI which has a speed of 10-20mb. It is not happening when connected to the network data/plan.
    My wife has the same Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (coming from different provider at&t) - same setup (emails, fb app), same wifi connection, but she's not experiencing anything like it.
    Not sure why, I dont want to believe that while connected to a WIFI, Verizon is restricting anything and ******* me off to make me switch to my data plan connection everytime - which is Unfair!
    Was there a known issue similar about this case?
    thanks,

  • How can I get iTunes Store to properly function on my windows 7 laptop? I have tried numerous things such as the MDos Promt, checked for firewall, checked for applications allowing iTunes to not be affected by anything. "Can't connect to network"

    How can I get my iTunes to function properly. It stopped working a couple of days ago and I can't figure how to get back and running. I have tried numerous things such as rebooting, checking for the network connection, applying it to open without security measures. Error message "Your connection time out. Check your connection." Even though I can get into the internet, iTunes is still not responding! Technical support help isn't helping!

    Just to close out ... the 'supervisor' was clueless as it turns out.  Apple does NOT have a deal with UPS on handling the Mini, so the person who gave me the info was wrong.  Did he call back?  No ... he just let me go out and find out myself.
    So I called again, and this time eventually ended up with a manager, who told me that the UPS Store thing wouldn't work, but that a box would arrive and then there would be a 'forced replacement'.
    About 10 minutes later he called back and said he discovered that EVERYTHING the supervisor did was wrong ... he didn't actually properly flag for auto-replace, so I would have gone through an identical cycle again!  So he had to restart the whole process, meaning I would get TWO 'coffins', but that I would then get an auto-replacement and would see that indicated in my support email.
    I got the email, saw 'auto-replace'.  Got the box on the 28th and immediately turned it around.  Apple got the box on the 31st, and on the 1st I got emails that my Mini would arrive on the 2nd and it also had the new serial #.
    Yesterday I grab the box from FedEx and go home to check it out.  As expected, it IMMEDIATELY worked on my WiFi without issue ... and has worked perfectly since.
    So ...
    - it was NOT my home network.
    - it WAS a hardware issue with the Mini
    - Apple does NOT do proper testing on the Mini to detect what appears to be a fairly common issue.
    - non-retail customers ARE treated as second-class by support.
    This issue took FOUR WEEKS to resolve, involved FOUR shipments back & forth, and the ONLY reason it got resolved was that *I* did the troubleshooting that Apple either would not or could not do.
    For someone who has been an Apple customer for more than 30 years, this has been a sobering experience ... I quite frankly expected much better from them.

    Hello ibebry
    Try using the Software Update on your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Software Update. One thing to keep in mind if you are trying it on the computer is to make sure that you are not pressing any keys down when checking for updates as that may bring up a pop up window to find the update file.

    I get a message "The Itunes server could not be contacted, check your internet connection" when trying to check for Ipod Nano software updates. I have a 1st generation Nano and haven't updated the software for a while. My internet connection is working. Was thre a change in the internet address for NANO software updates? Do I have to reconfigure something in Itunes to point to the correct address?

    What version of iTunes are you using?  The latest is 10.6.3. In iTunes, choose Help -> About iTunes to check the version number. If it's lower than 10.6.3, download the latest version from here.

    If you have iOS 7.1 then you must be a developer, so you should be posting in the developer forums : https://devforums.apple.com/index.jspa
