Xinerama makes graphic libraries crash

So I was updating my system a little more than a week ago, and now I have a problem starting X, kdm, and most graphical environements.
I think it might be the latest nvidia drivers that are responsible? or the nvidia-libgl libraries?
I get the following errors in dmesg attempting to start kde and subtle respectively:
drkonqi[371]: segfault at 18 ip 00007fca6c8173dc sp 00007fffab071c80 error 4 in libQtGui.so.4.8.4
xterm[459]: segfault at 8 ip 00007ff121ef1080 sp 00007fff6d1efad8 error 4 in libX11.so.6.3.0
the following link suggested that disabling xinerama evades the problem, but for me it is not a solution.
I downgraded a bunch of packages in an attempt to pin-point the responsible one, but there are so many interdependencies it was a mess. so im back at the faulty stage with xinerama disabled.
Any ideas on who's responsible for the crash and solutions?

I downgraded some packages on the fresh install, and indeed with nvidia-313.30 I have no problems with Xinerama enabled.
So it seems the problem is introduced with nvidia driver 319.17.
My test system is running fine with:
- linux-3.8.11-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
- nvidia-313.30-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
- nvidia-utils-313.30-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
- nvidia-libgl-313.30-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
For further debugging note that a downgrade of nvidia-libgl-319 was not explicitly forced, and that X was successfully started, not complaining with any of the above mentioned errors. It did complain, unsurprisingly, about a missing library file, so downgrade to 313 resolved this.
So I would say that the 'bug' is likely in the nvidia and nvidia-utils package, with the former being the most likely.
I'm not sure how I should proceed, and if I should file a bug with nvidia??
I wonder how exactly I should do that.

First, download and run the Flash uninstaller: [http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html] . You probably want the 64-bit version. After that has run, restart your computer, and then let's download a fresh version of Flash. Once you have flash installed again, start Firefox up, and see if you are getting any errors. If it works, awesome, if not, let's move on.
Start Firefox up in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode ]] (don't select any of the checkboxes that appear). If Flash works here, then it is one of your addons which is causing a problem.
If we are still having a problem, try [[Updating your graphics driver|Updating your graphics driver]] .
If none of these work, read [[Troubleshooting plugins|Troubleshooting plugins]] and let me know!

You can create an alternate library: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589
But it is easier to create one or more playlists and sync by selected playlists. You can have some playlists for both phones and others for just one phone.

Qosmio X505-Q870 Graphics Constantly Crashing

Hey guys,
I purchased by laptop mid-March and since late-April, this odd behavior has been occuring.
So, while I'm doing work on the laptop (regardless of game, autocad, or just document work) sometimes, the screen will go black, it'll come back on without any card running, go black, and then come back up with a little notice at the right bottom corner of Windows saying that the NVIDIA graphic driver crashed and has been restored.
Anyone know what's up?
I paid 1.5 grand for this and am worried that there may be a problem with the graphic card.

Why does Photoshop free transform make snow leopard crash

Every time I use free transform in Photoshop CS5 it makes my computer crash - no warning, nothing, just a dead black screen. Im on an Intel Core i5 with 16 GB of memory. It's driving me nuts. Anyone out there know what to do, please ?

It shouldn't happen, but it is possible that some of your RAM has a problem. Try taking out half the RAM and see if it still happens. If it no longer happens, the problem is in the half of the RAM you took out. If it still happens, swap out with the other half of the RAM and continue with this process of elimination until you find the stick of RAM that's doing it. If it happens no matter what RAM is installed, it could be something else, but not sure what it would be since most people don't have that problem.

Everytime I start up Photoshop, my graphic card Crashes!

So when I start up Photoshop it starts loading the items and stuff but than I believe it gets to the 3D Stuff or Something when my Graphic Card Crashes. My Graphics Card is an AMD Radeon HD 6410D I've tried to update it but no Updates found for it(It's up to date) So can it not handle this? (The Error message it gives me is The Graphics card has stopped but recovered) Or something like that.

I went to the site, downloaded the installer, Installed it, checked to see if it still crashes and it does. Oh well... I guess I'll just live with it. Do you know anyway to FULLY Disable 3D Graphics because I believe that's what's causing the crashing.

ITunes makes the Finder crash on Lion

Hi guys.
I have this annoying problem on my iMac.
When i play a song on iTunes it makes the Finder crash.

I have this problem too, in my case it appeared that the cause was from song notification (http://osxdaily.com/2011/11/19/show-a-now-playing-itunes-notification-in-the-os- x-dock/) I turned it off, and it works fine again.

Option click / right click makes the Finder crash

Option clicking or right clicking within the Finder, on a folder or a document makes the Finder crash! Any ideas?

Contextual menu items can be installed in two places:(1) Your Home > Library > Contextual Menu Items folder.

One thing you need to know about OCX's and Forte. To work properly they
should not have nested interfaces, i.e. OCX's imbedded within
themselves, and they need to follow Microsoft's apartment model
threading. Version 4.0 of Forte might loosen these requirements but for
now, they apply. I was not aware that Brahma's Business graphics
implementation was via an OCX, that stinks.

an OCX. It is a TOOL-based library supported on all Forte-supported
platforms. Thus, it resides in the development repository, is treated as any
other supplier plan, and may be deployed using Forte's built-in
capabilities.
FORTify Activate, another product in the FORTify suite, is a pre-wrappered
set of ActiveX controls. This may have been the source of the confusion.

IMAC 24Inch with NVidia 256 MB graphics card CRASHED NO SCREEN STARTUP HELP

HI there, wondering if anyone has had their nvidia GT graphics card crash then the screen go black?
I got home tonight, my ali imac 24inch, looks like its off, I turn it on, everything boots up but no
screen. Ive shared the screen through my macbook and look at the system info and it says under graphics displays "No information found" What does this mean? Has my graphics card destroyed itself?

Actually you may find that you have more success with an AMD\ATI Radeon video card.
I have experienced that with some motherboards, specifically Pegatron motherboards.
The problem is that you are delving into the DIY gaming PC realm and trying to do it with a prebuilt desktop PC.
Upgrading a prebuilt PC does not always result in a success story. Don't even consider trying to install cutting edge gaming memory modules. That will be a definite disappointment for you.
You may get lucky with an AMD Radeon HD video card.
But...You might just run into the same frustrating scenario you are facing today. I wish I had better news to give you.

Pogo Stylus makes Photoshop Touch crash

Hi,
I've bought Photoshop Touch this morning to work with my Pogo Connect stylus but when I connect the stylus to the App, the App crashes 10 seconds later.
As soon as I disable Bluetooth on my iPad Retina or disable the stylus in App settings, the app does not crash anymore.
My iPad is on latest version of iOS 7. I uninstall the app, reset the stylus, ... Nothing works.
I would like to work with Photoshop but I has to go back to Procreate because I cannot work without my stylus.
Pease help !

Does the carriage (the part that holds the print cartrdiges) bang into the sides of the printer? If so then cleaning the encoder strip as described in this post may help.
