XML Annotation related to schema attribute processContents="skip".

Hello all,
I have a XML schema (.xsd) having one element like:
<xs:element name="XMLTest" minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1">
   <xs:complexType>
      <xs:sequence>
         <xs:any minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" processContents="skip"></xs:any>
      </xs:sequence>
   </xs:complexType>
</xs:element>I have specified attribute processContent="skip" for element, because I don't want any kind of process on this element.
now, when I create classes from this schema file using "XJC" tool It don't add any annotation related to processContent="skip" attribute in my class.
Because of this whenever any operation performed on instance of schema class it's content will be processed (when I don't want them to be processed). It means this class is processed like any other normal class.
Can any one please suggest me
- how can I get same effect as processContent="skip" attribute, using javax.xml.bind.
- or any other suggestions or way for doing same.

Release 9.2.0.3 under Linux.
No imports, just the xml:lang attribute as indicated in the above XPATH. XMLSpy thinks the schema is fine, but Oracle has the problem with that attribute.
http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace has some suggestions dealing with the xml:lang attribute, but it seems like this should work as is.

I have trouble registering a schema into Oracle. The problem seems to be that the schema defines Attributes and Oracle does not like Attributes.
Does someone have a XSL to convert schema attributes into elements?
I am able to convert the attributes in the XML data file to elements.

The following xml schema is from the Oracle XML guide. It has attributes in it.
I've used XMLSpy to validate my xsd before, and it indicated they where valid when indeed it was not. That is why I now use the link I sent previously.

Indices and constraints on XML Tables/Columns (with Schema)

Hi,
I've read a lot of documents by know, but the more I read the more I got confused. So I hope you can help me.
Frist my Oracle Server Version: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit
I've manages to create a table with a column with the type SYS.XMLTYPE and the storage modle "Object Relational" with an XML Schema.
I can insert data and I can execute XQuery statements.
I can also create an XMLTYPE table with my Schema, althoug the tool SQL Developer keeps telling me, that the one column wich is generated within the table is of the type CLOB instead of object realtional (which is what I defined).
The query for that is:
CREATE TABLE ENTRY_XML OF XMLTYPE
XMLTYPE STORE AS OBJECT RELATIONAL
XMLSCHEMA "BBMRI_Entry.xsd" ELEMENT "Entry";
That's where I am, now my questions:
1. What's the difference? I'm aware of the obviouse difference, that with the first way I can add relational columns as well, but apart from that? If I only want to store the xml data, is the second approach always better (especially in regard to my next question)?
2. My schema contains elements with attributes (which contain IDs), which have to be unique. So I tried to add a UNIQUE constraint, but failed. I found this (http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/codesnippet/xmldb/constraints/Specify_Constraints.html), but it just doesn't work.
Query: "ALTER TABLE ENTRY_XML CONSTRAINT ENTRY_XML_SUBID_UNQIUE UNIQUE (xmldata."SubId");"
Error: "ORA-01735: invalid ALTER TABLE option"
3. I didn't try yet, but I need to specifiy foreign keys within the XML as well (which is explained in the link at question 2). I guess the solution to question 2 will make this possible as well.
4. Since I can create a UNIQUE constaint for attributes (well, I can't yet, but I hope that this will change soon) I woundered if it would be possible to realize something like auto_increment. Although I see the problem with validating the xml input if the Ids are empty. Any suggestions on that problem? Do I have to query for the highest (free) id before I can insert the new documents?

I've read through all the literature (again) and found out, that I did most of the stuff right in the first place. I just missinterpreted the generated tables for the types and wondered why they only contained one column. Well, at least one mistery solved.
But know to make it easier just one question, which might solve all problems I have:
How can I create UNIQUE constraints and FOREIGN KEYS when I have a table or column of the type XmlType with a schema using the object relational storage method?
I found a solution http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14259/xdb05sto.htm#i1042421 (Example 5-12), but it just does not work for me.
I removed the FOREIGN KEY and tried it again and the UNIQUE Key works.
So basically the question is how to retrieve the "AId" Attribute. "XMLDATA"."AId", "XMLDATA"."Attribute"."AId" and "XMLDATA"."Subject"."Attribute"."AId" all do not work.
I've added my schema declarations at the bottom (which I've already successfully registred and used without foreign keys and constraints, so they work).
After I've registered the two schema files 3 types and 11 tables where created. One type for the attribute, one for the study type and one probably to link the attributes to the study types. The tables are one for the attribute, 4 for the content*-elements, 2 for the study type (I don't really know why two) and 4 with strange names starting with "SYS_NT" and then some random numbers and letters (looks alot like some base64 encoded string).
The Query I try to use to create the table is: (The table "Attribute" already exists and contains a field "ID", which is it's PK.)

I want to load this file into a table, validate it (against SpecificAttributes.3.0.xsd, genericNrm.xsd and configData.xsd) and query that table. How would the INSERT .. and the SELECT ... for userLabel attribute look like?

Please use the validateXML BPEL Property : This property validates incoming and outgoing XML documents. If set to true, the Oracle BPEL Process Manager applies schema validation for incoming and outgoing XML documents. This property is applicable to both durable and transient processes. The default value is false.

Newbie - How to create XML based on given schema

Hello,
We have a requirement to create an XML message from our system (Oracle 9iR2 with Oracle Apps 11.5.10). The XML is generated from a query in our HR tables, and must be in a specific format (schema and example XML has been provided to us).
Newbie question is this: What is the best way to create this XML message (dynamic data coming from a SQL select) while ensuring that it matches the given schema? Most of our developers are strong PL/SQL with limited Java experience.

Catch all error information while validating xml content with xsd schema

I created a java mapping to validating the input xml content with xsd schema (schema validation). What I want is to catch all error message to the xml not just the first error. I used SAXParser in sapxmltoolkit.jar to do the schema validation. The below is a part of my java mapping.

How can we validate a XML against his external schema XSD

I use the XML library for create my XML file, Im extracting the data
from R3 and building the XML document.
I wish to validate this document against his schema XSD built by third party (government organization) before i transfer this data (xml file)
to the external entity.

Currently I´m trying to find out some on SAP but nothing at this moment.
The company that I´m working needs to implement "Factura Electonica" also.
Probably we will use external broker to do this for us, and we will send just Idoc to the broker.
Please, let me know your progress on SAP side.

Select XML Node by a specific attribute value

I am newbie for LifeCyle.
This might be an easy question, but it really got me here.
I am trying bind xml data into a Drop-Down List. The databinding is working fine, but I would like to have more specific node selected from the xml file by using a attribute value.
for example Code in AS 3.0

How could i do the same thing in LifeCycle Designer 8.0

Pls do check the nodes which you have mapped to. Also make sure that your SEGMENT field in the target structure is mapped properly.

I'm currently facing the same problem. I need to validate a xml file with an existing xsd schema for some export/import functionality. I just found an ABAP program doing this with a Java fallback. But isn't there a way doing this wihtout using Java but only ABAP? There certainly is, anyone an idea?

QUESTION: XML validation against a schema - for beginners

Hi folks,
i am new to XML validation.
i would like to find out how to validate an XML file using a schema given to me by a third part company.
the business process requires that our company sends a weekly file which complies with their schema.
in real-life, i am expecting some details of our file to fail against their schema.
thus i would like to find a way validating the file localy before sending it to this third part.
this validation would ideally allow me to highlight and identify which records are failing the validation, and enable me to strip those and send only those that are successfully checked.
on the example below, i would expect to have the record for John Smith to be successful (country has an integer); while Queen Victoria would fail as it uses UK instead of an integer to identify the country.
thus i would need to find a way validating this XML file, move the record of Queen Victoria to another file to be fixed and to allow, the record for John Smith to be sent out.
if you guys could post some links to where i can find further information on this type of processing, i would be most grateful.
