XML error file not recognized when running VI

I've defined custom error codes using LabVIEW's error code editor. However, when I run my VI, the error handler VI cannot interpret my custom codes. My VIs are stored on a remote data server but I'm running LabVIEW locally on my computer. The XML file is stored in my local install directory>>user.lib>>errors. Could this be the problem? How can I get LabVIEW to recognize my custom errors without having to change where I store my files?

I don't know what the problem was, but when I closed LabVIEW and then opened it again, it found my local error file...

  • Why does FCP error "File Not Found" when I try to open my sequences????

I recently updated all of my software and the following day I started getting errors "file not found" when I would try to open a sequence. Now all of my sequences are being lost and I am losing time and money because I can't meet deadlines! This *****!!! With one sequence I had to reedit the entire thing from scratch and when I did for some reason the old one would then open. But the next time I opened FCP both sequences would error out. Following the "file not found" the computer responds with another error "error: out of memory" What the devil is going on with this crap?

I seem to have figured out what my problem was. After trying to build the same project (that failed on the Mac Pro) on my laptop and encountering the same errors, I realized that the problem had to be with one or more of my assets and not my new version of FCP, since my PowerBook is running FCP 5.0.4 and my Mac Pro is running FCP 5.1.2.
In my case the "corrupt" file was a Photoshop PSD file. In the past (FCP 4.5) I was able to use PSD files with hidden layers. I would merge the visible layers into one layer, keep the hidden layers and save the file. Once in FCP, I imported the PSD file and kept right on truckin'. I've done this for years. For some reason now with FCP 5.1.2 (and 5.0.4), that's not flying anymore. Once I "Flattened" the PSD file in Photoshop (deleting all of the hidden layers) I was able to build the project without any errors.
Interestingly, the technique I used to figure out which file was "corrupt" also allowed me to salvage parts of some of my "lost" sequences. I saw this posted in a forum at Creative Cow (creativecow.net). Basically, I opened up the project, clicked the OK button after the File Not Found error, went into the Browser, right clicked on the offending sequence, selected "Make Offline". When I double clicked the sequence it opened in the timeline with all of my assets offline. Then in the timeline, one by one, I right clicked on each clip and selected "Reconnect Media". Once I linked up the media, if I didn't get an error message, I would save as a new project (to salvage what WAS working), and go to the next clip. I did this until I found the offending PSD files.
I hope this helps. Now it's time to play "catch-up"

  • Error: "file not found" when try to display image on report

    Dear All
I have a problem when running my report.
My Table emp_info Stores all data about employees in addition to the employee image path.
I made a report that display employee information including its photo.
I run my report passing the parameter p_emp_id to display the desired emploree information.
I made a field on the report to display the employee image
and i set its property READ FROM FILE = YES and FILE FORMAT=IMAGE
    But the following error occurs
    "File '\\iai3\iaigc\ALL\emp_images\51.JPG' not found. "
I'm sure that the path is correct
But i do not know why the report stops and can not read the image path.
    My platform is:
Oracle application server installed on linux
and oracle report builder installed on widows for development

    Dear aweiden
    thanks for replaying
I belive you are right . I think the problem is in the path.
But there is something that i did not mentioned to you. I work on two different servers.
1- "iai2" : Linux server which contains oracle application server.
2- "iai3" Windows 2003 server which contained oracle database 10g and the folder "aigc\ALL\emp_images" which contains Employees images
I think that the problem is that Linux server can not understand the path "\\iai3\iaigc\ALL\emp_images\51.JPG".
Do you have any idea how the path should be changed so that Linux can recognizes it.
    Thanks in advance

  • Error 404 -- NOT FOUND when running a form in form 11g

    Hi All,
I got this problem when I run the forms using internet explorer.
I work on Forms 11g which uses weblogic 10.3 for web deployment of the forms.
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
Can any one tell me where it went wrong.
    Thanks

Let's start by clearing up some confusion.
    PORTS
In version 11.1.1.x here are how the common ports are defined by default:
    1. HTTP Server - 8888
    2. WLS_FORMS - 9001
    3. WLS_REPORTS - 9002
    4. WLS Admin Server - 7001
So, if you understand how ports work in general, you should see that there are two ways to run a form. You can either go through HTTP Server or call WLS_FORMS directly. This means that both of the following would work, although one would be a direct path and the other would route the request through the HTTP Server:
    <li>http://ie1fdtfc5zl1s:9001/forms/frmservlet?config=frmdemo
    <li>http://ie1fdtfc5zl1s:8888/forms/frmservlet?config=frmdemo
Port 7001, will always be the Admin Server port by default for the Classic domain. By default, the only thing you can do from here is access EM or WLS Console.
As for the tns issue, by default, both the Builder and runtime will expect to find tnsnames.ora in the Instance Home \config so be sure you are adding the correct entries to the correct file.
You can hard code a path to the file which you prefer be used by setting TNS_ADMIN in default.env (e.g. TNS_ADMIN=C:\Oracle\mytnsdirectory). This will apply only to running forms and not the Builder.
Also, here is something which often is confusing to many people.... just because you launched your form from the Builder does not mean that the running form has anything to do with the Builder at that point. In other words, when you click on the RunForm button in the builder all you are doing is passing a url to a browser. The browser and the form are not using any of the Builder's settings except those which may have been passed in the URL (e.g. username/password). ALL running forms are considered "runtime". This means all of the environment configuration information for a running form will need to be set in default.env. The Builder, on the other hand will rely on the System variable, Windows Registry (or shell if on Unix).

  • The dreaded "Video Error-File Not Installed" When trying to watch LiveTV in WMC

I'm getting the following error message when trying to use Live TV in WMC:
    Video Error
Files needed to display video are not installed or are not working correctly. Restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer.
On this system my tuners are the Hauppauge HVR 2250 and the Hauppauge HD PVR.  It took awhile to set up, but when I click play on a channel I get 10 seconds of video, an audio loop of the same sound over & over followed by the above error message.
I ran into this problem once before on my Home Theater HTPC when trying to access the ATI Cable Card solution.  To get that to work I had to uninstall and reinstall Playready.  I tried 3 different ways of doing this on my new build & it did
not fix the problem.  The only fix I didn't try was the one on Ceton's website that involves a whole lot of deleting of folders.
Since this current build doesn't have a cablecard installed, and gets the non-clear QAM stations from settop box through HD PVR, would it still be the Playready needing to be reset?  The symptoms look identical to when I had the previous problem.
These same files play in the BeyondTV that I'm trying to migrate from, so all codecs appear to be onboard.  I am using the latest HDPVR MediaCenter driver from the Hauppauge website & the latest drivers on the HVR-2250.
    Thanks for any help!

I had this problem after upgrading my graphics card to an AMD 5450 and the solution after a couple of days of hair pulling was one I hadn't come across before in relation to this problem.
It turned out that the problem was caused by the screen refresh rate, it was set to 60Hz by default and I got the Video Error message but if I changed it to 50Hz then playback of recorded programs or watching live TV worked.

  • IPhoto gives import error "file not valid" when import more than one photo

Trying to import lots of photos.
Every time I try to import more than a few, I get an error that "The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type of the files may not contain valid data)."
When I go back to importing just one at a time, it works fine every time.
I have tried rebuilding the iPhoto library as well.
I have tried also not copying into the iPhoto library and copying into the iPhoto library (using Preferences/Advanced/Importing).
    Any help would be great.
This is painful doing one-by-one, and each one I bring in shows as a separate event...
Every once in a while I will get lucky and it will import more than 5, though I will still get the error before it imports all selected. Ugh!

    Unfortunately did not work.
And now a silly question - how do I get to be able to see my original iPhoto library? When I try to open it, I don't see any of the albums and mobileme galleries I had created anymore (though I can still see them on the web)

  • File Not Recognized When Inporting

When I try to inport from my Kodak EasyShare Z730, I receive an error that states, "the following file could not be imported. The file is in an unrecognized format". It then lists the files, but they all end in JPG. I have inported pictures from this camera many times, but this is the first time since I upgraded to Lion.

Search the forum for the many, many similar posts from Kodak users. Workarounds include reformatting the card with the camera and/or using a USB Card Reader.

  • External Monitor not recognized when running XP (MDP to HDMI)

    Hi,
I also posted this in the "Windows Compatibility" forum.
I have a new Macbook Pro (unibody, 15.4", 2.53 ghz) and I am trying to make it work with my Samsung T260HD HDTV/Monitor. I am hooking this up via a Mini displayport to HDMI adapter, Yeah! I have NO problems when using the computer in OS 10.5.6, but when I boot up into windows XP (SP3) via bootcamp, the monitor gets no signal. I know that it is NOT the adapter, Apple hardware, or monitor, because, like I said, it works fine in OS X. I am assuming that this is a windows driver thing. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions to get this to work? Thanks.

boot windows xp in safe mode with vga drivers to use standard 800x600 display drivers so you can see, then install teh drivers for your monitor.

  • [SOLVED]Hard Disk not recognized when installing

Hey all, I'm just starting with Arch and I've had some trouble installing it on my Acer netbook.
My first installation went well except that I had forgot to download the wireless tools so I decided to do a fresh install as I had no access to a wired connection at the time.  The second installation attempt must have had some error on my part as Arch failed to start after selecting it from Grub, saying that the kernel was not available/not recognized.
Now my subsequent attempts at installing have failed because the hard disk is not recognized when running either cgdisk or cfdisk.  Instead of showing my hard drive partitions after running
    cfdisk /dev/sda
it shows my usb drive. If I instead use
    cgdisk /dev/sda
it displays an error saying that the disk is damaged or not recognized.  When I first saw this I thought my disk was failing, so I tried #! to see if it would show the same error, but it was able to recognize the entire disk and install correctly.  Now, even after having the entire disk formatted as ext4 with #! installed, cgdisk is still giving me the same error about a damaged disk.
Am I doing something incorrectly or is there a fix for this?  I haven't been able to find any information about this after a good while of searching.
    Thanks for your help.

srs5694 wrote:The cgdisk "damaged disk" error is probably a result of the tool seeing an MBR partition table on your USB flash drive, rather than the GPT disk it's expecting. If I'm right, you should not follow s1ln7m4s7r's advice, since that will simply trash your USB flash drive!
If you mean by trashing the USB flash drive, that it will delete all data and partitions on the selected drive it is correct, because:
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/$disk bs=4096 count=1
    - this will delete all partition-table data
    sgdisk -o /dev/$disk
    - this will clear out all data. This includes GPT header data, all partition definitions, and the protective MBR.
    /dev/$disk
    - this will make you enter ncurses-based GUID partition table (GPT) manipulator, where you can create new partitions
You should only do this if you are certain of what disk it is.
Now if when you said this, you were meaning it will became broken, then it may be a special kind of usb drive because i've donne it many times and i've not broken any.
srs5694 wrote:My guess is that either your hard disk has become /dev/sdb (this can happen in some cases; disk identifiers aren't really fixed) or you're missing a driver for your hard disk controller because you've booted a different kernel or a different initrd file. Another possibility is that there's a hardware fault -- probably a loose cable -- that's preventing the kernel from seeing the disk.
If the usb drive is not where you installed arch, then you need to find if there are more recognized drives:
    lsblk | grep disk
And see the uuid of the root partition you want, and add it to your bootloader boot line:
    blkid /dev/sdxx

If your library is in the standard layout of an iTunes folder containing an iTunes Media folder (and you've already copied over the media) then you can simply copy the iTunes library files and album artwork folder across to the new machine recreating the same layout. If the media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder then see make a split library portable for a way to get the library into a portable form, after which you can copy over the library files.
