Xml file not loading from different server

Hi,
I have a simple flash banner that is pulling a number from an xml file on a different server. When it gets to the frame where the number should be it just says "transferring data from eckul.com" and will not actually pull in the number. Unfortunately I can't put the files on the same servers. Any help would be much appreciated, below are the links and the xml code I'm using followed by the action script. Cheers

function loadXML(loaded) {
if (loaded) {
_root.inventor = this.firstChild.childNodes[0].childNodes[0].firstChild.nodeValue;
_root.comments = this.firstChild.childNodes[0].childNodes[1].firstChild.nodeValue;
name_txt.text = _root.inventor;
comment_txt.text = _root.comments;
} else {
  trace("file not loaded!");
xmlData = new XML();
xmlData.ignoreWhite = true;
xmlData.onLoad = loadXML;
xmlData.load("http://www.eckul.com/number.xml");

so, in frame 1 of your fla before you execute that cross-domain load method, use:
System.security.loadPolicyFile("http:www.yourcrossdomain.com/subdirectoriesIfNeeded/crossd omain2.xml");
where the following (crossdomain.xml) is in www.yourcrossdomain.com's root (IF you want to allow allow subdirectory policy files):

</cross-domain-policy>

  • Can the source files be loaded from target server

    Hi,
    I have owb client on windows2000 and target on linux server. The current plan is to create runtime repository connection for the target and execute mapping from windows where the source files are located.
    Is there way to put the source files on target server machine (there is no owb client install)? What's the best business practice regarding how the owb and source files are distributed? Thanks.
    Tarcy

    The problem is not the code or html.
    This: "The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from <\bin\server\jvm.dll>
    indicates that you are attempting to run the server jvm, and it does not exist. This can be because either the java command option "-server" was used, or a configuration file setting.
    As shipped by Sun, the JRE does not include the server jvm; the JDK does. If you want the server jvm in the JRE, copy the \server\ directory and contents from the JDK to the JRE.
    If you installed using defaults,
    copy from: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\jre\bin
    copy to: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0\bin

  • Process for Flat file delta load from Application server to transactional??

    I want to do a flat file extraction in delta loads from application server and that should be loaded into a transactional cubes scheduling a process chain.
    Can any one help with ABAP code and step by step process for this?
    Thank you
    Devi

    Hi Devi,
    As per your explaination, you want to load a list of files from application server using process chain.
    You can do this with below steps.
    1) Create a Event and call event to run Process chain multiple times.
    2) Put all filenames in a file say, source-File
    3) Write a rooting to read filename from Source-File and trigger InfoPackage
    4) At the end of the process chain create new customized program which will delete first line from Source-File so that it will take next file in next run as well as delete currently loaded file. Once this is done trigger event again to start process chain again.

  • XML file not loading in FF from server

    I've created a web page that loads an external XML file and
    then uses javascript code to parse the file for requested
    information. I know it's not the best way to do this, but I'm
    trying to get this working before I move on to "better" methods.
    When I run the page using the "Preview/Debug in browser"
    funtionality of DW everything works great both in IE and FF. But
    when I load the page to the server and then load the page in a
    browser, it works in IE but not in FF. It looks as though FF is
    just not loading the XML file. I can't figure out why the page
    would work if launched from DW, but not work if the page is loaded
    on the server and then run from there, and only in FF.
    The code I'm using to load the XML file is supposed to be
    cross-browser compatible. I've seen many versions like from various
    sources, so it should be OK. I'm pretty new to all of this so I'm
    hoping that I'm just missing something simple. Does anyone have any
    idea why this is behaving this way?
    Thanks for any help.

    The movie now shows in the preview so no more load error. One step further.
    But the links from the XML file are stil not working. When i preview the movie in flash i get "undefined" 5 times (i got 5 links in the xml file) It looks like this>>>
    any idea where that comes from??

  • .xml file not loading when piece runs through an LMS

    Dear all
    We created a fully interactive training program on MS Excel where we also simulated Excel using the OWC10.DLL control.  This works pretty well for both .exe and web packaged pieces.
    In certain cases this control is pre-populated using a .xml data file.
    When the piece is packaged for the web and runs directly over the web - everything works fine.
    But when published to Moodle as a SCORM 1.2 package the data in the .xml file is not read.  The .xml file is included in the SCORM wrapper.
    Anyone has any idea what the problem could be?

  • Xml file not loading

    i am trying to create an e-learning course that will have
    glossaries according to the various lessons that are within the
    overall course. i have attached the code that i am using to quickly
    switch out the glossary xml file (that contains the definitiosn and
    terms). I can currently trace the lessonNumber variable (it is
    reading "1"), but when I attempt to trace the glossaryText
    variable, the output window is blank....can anyone tell me where i
    am going wrong?

    Just a hint - perhaps try putting your onLoad declaration
    BEFORE your load command. This way, your onload is present before
    the load is issued, so in case the XML is loaded really quickly,
    the onLoad handler will get called for sure. Does this make sense?
    In your case, the XML may have already loaded before you tell the
    object WHAT to call after it's loaded.
    When I've used the xml object, it looks more like this:
    myXML = new XML();
    myXML.onLoad = someFunction;
    myXml.load("somexmlfile.xml");
    Also -afterwards, you have to select a node of the XML to
    view. I use the XPath API to do so, by including this
    import mx.xpath.XPathAPI;
    And then using:
    XPathAPI.selectSingleNode within an onLoad function. Take a
    look at the documentation for XPathAPI - I had to make a custom
    function to return the node I wanted.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Firefox will not play .ogv video files when loaded from a server. Does anyone have any answers that will fix this?

    I've read the suggestions for fixing this, and none of them work. I've updated my .htaccess to match MIME types for .ogv, I've uploaded the files as both Binary and ASCII, neither method works. The .ogv file plays fine when you load it from a local file, but it will not play when viewed from a remote server. I've confirmed with my hosting company that the .htaccess and all other issues for HTML5 are up-to-date. Safari and Chrome play the HTML5 videos just fine, but Firefox will not. Does anyone have any concrete answers as to what the problem is. I'm also serving up the video files as .webm and .mp4, but neither of these formats works in Firefox either.

    That can happen if the server isn't configured properly to send the files with a by Firefox supported MIME type.
    *https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Properly_Configuring_Server_MIME_Types
    Did you check via the Web Console which headers Firefox receives when requesting the .ogv file?
    If that is OK then it is possible that the file is using an unsupported coding method.

  • GIF files not loading from jar in Netscape

    Hi,
    I have a jar file that contains my applet code(class files) and a bunch of gif files. I load the image using the URL returned from getCodeBase() method. The images load fine in Explorer but they do not show up in Netscape. The class files and gif files are not in separate directories and getCodeBase is returning the correct URL of my server(Example: http://www.myserver.com). Does anyone know how to fix this? I also noticed that download time did not improve on either browser when I bundled all the gif file in the jar rather than place them outside the jar file. Isn't bundling them in the jar supposed to save multiple requests back to the server to get the gifs and thus reduce download time? Thanks in advance.

    There the sample from Netscape: http://developer.netscape.com/docs/technote/java/getresource/getresource.html#classloader

  • Issue with Adobe flex data.xml file not reachable from bsp behind firewall

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a problem with the <mx:HTTPService> tag the following is the actual tag,
    <mx:HTTPService
    id="Srv"
    url="data.xml"
    useProxy="false"
    method="POST" result="resultHandler(event)"/>
    When accessed locally I can see the data in the flex as the data.xml can be reached. when the same is accessed from internet behind firewall, the url is entirely different and the .swf file in the BSP page cannot access the data.xml. I cannot give the absolute url in the tag as the BSP page application is accessed differently in different servers. any help on this would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Akbar

    Sorry somehow I missed this question, an even easier way to do this is to allow your Flash movie to "script" ( this is the default behavior for a Flex application ) and then call some javascript to obtain exactly what the page URL is and then go from there to get your data:
    import flash.external.ExternalInterface;
    import mx.utils.URLUtil;
    var
    if(ExternalInterface.available){
         pageURL = ExternalInterface.call("window.location.href.toString");
    // Do whatever you need with the URL here.
         var serverName:String = URLUtil.getServerNameWithPort(pageURL);
    -d

    If I right click and go properties there are no counters configured. If I add a counter that works, but upon reloading the page the counters do not load from the HTML source file.
    I check the source of the HTML, and the counters are there, but aren't loading.

  • Pages will not open a downloaded .pages document from iCloud because index.xml file not found?

    New to using iCloud.  I created a large pages document on Mac Air and saved it to my iCloud account.  Found it at home on desktop Mac and downloaded it.  No problem.  However, it will not open due to the index.xml file not being found.  What should I do to open this document?  I've tried several things and no luck yet.  Thanks for any tips!  :-)

    Try this. It worked for me:
    1. Single click on the document. This will "highlight" the document icon, but not invoke the error message.
    2. Click on "File" in the menu.
    3. Scroll down to "Open With".
    4. One of my choices in the "Open With" selection is Pages (default) (5.0.1)
    5. Click on that choice and the document should open.
    In my "Open WIth" selection there is also a Pages (4.0.4), but that didn't work for me.
    Now, here is a caveat. If before you open your document you instead first click on an open Internet window, then the "Open With" selection disappears from the File menu. In that case just single click again on the document icon again and the "Open With" selection returns.

    Try this:
      1. Make a duplicate of the file (cmd D), just to be safe
      2. Select .pages on the copy and change to .zip
      3. When the System asks if you really want to do this, click Use .zip
      4. Double click the new .zip file
      5. It will now appear as a folder with no extension
      6. Append .pages to the end of the folder name
      7. Again click on Use .pages
      8. Double click on this file to open it in Pages.
    What you have done is extracted all the Pages resources from the .pages "package" and reconstructed it.

    Have following error when I start a BC4J-JSP/Struts application (with Embedded and standalone OC4J) :

    Then I make a Reload and it's ok.
    I have a Workspace with two Projects :
    BC4J.jpr for Businnes Components
    Web.jpr for JSP Struts
    In /classes I have the file Web.cpx, but no BC4J.cpx.
    From which does this name come ? Can I change this name ?
    Thanks
    Yves

    I found this on Metalink...
    JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
    Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
    The following is from Note 137429.1. Hope this helps.
    Raja.
    JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
    Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
    Action: 1. Make sure that the file is present. In particular, if the file is to be found in a zip/jar file, make sure that the Zip/JAR file is included in the CLASSPATH.
    2. This error is also reported if the name of the XML file does not match the object Name specified in the XML file. If the file system support case insensitive file names (e.g., Windows NT), make sure that the file name matches the object Name in the XML file in case-sensitive fashion.
    3. For a .JPX file, this error is reported if the JPX file is missing the JboProject XML tag. Check the JPX file to make sure that the valid tag is in there.
    4. One XML file may be extending another XML file (specified by the Extends element in this XML file). This error is reported if the base XML file is not found.
    5. When loading the XML file for a package (JboPackage tag), this error is reported if some unexpected error occurs while loading a containee.
    In all of the above cases, a more descriptive message may be printed on Diagnostic. If you are not seeing Diagnostic messages, you can run your application with Diagnostic turned on, as in "java -Djbo.debugoutput=console ...", to see Diagnostic messages.
