XML issues : Genearte XML based on XSD

hi please help me in sorting this issue
How would I generate an XML document from XML-DB which conform to a registered
Schema? My tables and xsd are as follows:
Customer table
==============
create table cust
( id number primary key,
last_name varchar2(50),
first_name varchar2(50),
fullname varchar2(50),
dob date
Cust_address table
==================
create table cust_address
(addr_id number primary key,
address_1 varchar2(100),
address_2 varchar2(100),
county varchar2(4),
home_ph varchar2(20),
office_ph varchar2(20),
cust_id number references cust(id) );
Some data
SQL> insert into cust
2 values( 1, 'Harvey','John','Jeff M Harvey','18-jun-80');
1 row created.
insert into cust_address
values ( 1,' 21 West Trophy Road','Memphis,
TN','0009','901-6782345','901-768234',1);
My XMLSchema is as follows:

    Hi,
    Sorry for my delay response.
    Both xmls are valid and equivalent for me... should be equivalent to <ns1:a xmlns:ns1="namespace"/>...
    I agree to your point.
    What is your target system? If that makes difference for your target system I would say it is not fully XML compliant...
    Target system is an old one called as MID. Yes i agree it is not fully XML Compliant. I am publishing the message through file adapter and it is reading the file.
    But anyway... The trick in the other thread should work... What do you mean by "removing url also" ???
    Using the Namespaces remove xsl code i am getting structure as below. In this alone with prefix name space url also getting removed.
    <RelieveIntransits>
    <RelieveIntransit HeaderID="DA41198901491301" ProductID="D037-63-1270S">
    <RelieveStore StoreID="D001" Units="0002092 " />
    </RelieveIntransit>
    </RelieveIntransits>
    I am expecting like this
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <RelieveIntransits xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://tempuri.org/RelieveIntransitSchema.xsd">

  • Generating XML based on XSD.

    HI All,
    I have an XSD and some data (in the form of value objects)that needs to be represented as XML . is thr any way to generate my XML dynamically using by data and reading the XSD content.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    If u want to create XML document according to the XSD you defined then u can use the JAXB API, here you do the Marshalling which directly converts the java objects into the XML document.

  • How to generate XML file based on XSD in SSIS

    please provide step by step process to create xml based on XSD in SSIS

    Hi hemasankar,
    In SQL Server Integrated Services, we can generate XML Schema (XSD) file based on a XML file with XML Source Editor. If we want to generate XML file based on a XSD file, we can use Generate Sample XML feature in Visual Studio. For more details, please refer
    to the following steps:
    Click on "XML Schema Explorer" or 'Use the XML Schema Explorer...' to open XML Schema Explorer in Visual Studio.
    If your Schema file is valid and you are having elements, right-click on element and click on "Generate Sample XML", this functionality generates XML file in temp folder and open ups in the XML Editor.
    The following two document about how to generate XML file based on a XSD file are for your reference:

  • How to get XML from its XSD?

    Hi
    I need to get the XML template from its XSD. Please help me understand how do I do this using a java code. Based on XSD I have to generate the XML template, which I am going to fill later.
    In case there is no standard API available; then please suggest how effective will it be to parse the XDS and generate XML myself. What all consideration must be taken care of?
    Regards
    Vijendra

    Indeed, the best choice is to use an XML editor that has support for this kind of operation.
    In case you want to generate sample XML files with more complex conditions, oXygen (http://www.oxygenxml.com/) has such a feature : Tools->Generate Sample XML Files. ( http://www.oxygenxml.com/xml_schema_editor.html#xml_schema_instance_generator )
    StylusStudio has an XML generator too:(http://www.stylusstudio.com/xml_generator.html)
    But if you want to write your own generator in Java , I suggest to look at http://www.sun.com/software/xml/developers/instancegenerator/

  • Extending the Resource XML Schema XDBResource.xsd

    Hi,
    Is anybody could share an expirience about extending
    the Resource XML Schema XDBResource.xsd ?
    I want to use XML DB as document repository.
    I want to use some application parameters (for
    example document varchar id and so on) as resource
    properties. I read from Oracle documentation, that
    one way is to extend the Resource XML Schema XDBResource.xsd.
    Users will put documents using WebDAV, so new schema
    should be used default instead of XDBResource.xsd.
    Is it possible ?
    Thanks in advance
    Viacheslav

    Thos is an error in the documentation. Extending the Resource Schema is not currently supported. We are considering this for a future release of the product. XML DB does allow small amounts of user defined meta data to be added to a Resource.....
    For Instance Given the following package
    create or replace package xdb_namespaces
    as
    RESOURCE_NAMESPACE constant VARCHAR2(128) := 'http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb/XDBResource.xsd';
    METADATA_NAMESPACE constant VARCHAR2(128) := 'http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb/userMetaData';
    RESOURCE_PREFIX_R constant VARCHAR2(128) := 'xmlns:r="' || RESOURCE_NAMESPACE || '"';
    METADATA_PREFIX_M constant VARCHAR2(128) := 'xmlns:m="' || METADATA_NAMESPACE || '"';
    end;
    select * from all_errors where owner = 'XDB'
    create or replace public synonym XDB_NAMESPACES for XDB_NAMESPACES
    grant execute on XDB_NAMESPACES to public
    The following procedure can add metadata to the ANY defined by the current resource Schema
    procedure addUserMetaDataNode(OID varchar2)
    as
    metadata_xml XMLTYPE := XMLTYPE('<m:UserMetaData ' || XDB_NAMESPACES.METADATA_PREFIX_M || '/>');
    begin
    update /*+ NO_TRIGGER */ XDB.XDB$RESOURCE r
    set r.xmldata.RESEXTRA = metadata_xml.getClobVal()
    where sys_nc_oid$ = hextoraw(OID)
    and existsNode
    object_value,
    '/r:Resource/r:Contents',
    XDB_NAMESPACES.RESOURCE_PREFIX_R
    ) = 1
    and existsNode
    object_value,
    '/r:Resource/m:UserMetaData',
    XDB_NAMESPACES.RESOURCE_PREFIX_R || ' ' || XDB_NAMESPACES.METADATA_PREFIX_M
    ) = 0;
    end;
    Note that this is not a SUPPORTED method of doing this.. Once the UserMetaDataNode has been added additional metadata can be added using updateXML with an XPATH that targets the UserMetaData node.
    A Future release of XML DB will provide a facitlity to attach a row in a schema based XML table, containing user defined meta data to a resoure, in the same way that the defaultTable mechanisim allows the content of a resource to be stored in an XMLType table.

  • XML based scrolling thumbnails

    IMPORTANT: My first time with flash and actionscript but am a computer science student so code is ok.
    that said I wanna build a xml based scrolling thumbnails in an horizontal bar.
    each pic should have some effect when the mouse is over it +
    the scrolling bar should scrol left or right depending on the mouse pos+
    the bar stops when am over a pic (with some conditions)
    I think this i all
    PS: I have only two days to do it :s
    I know it would be better if I do it from scratch this is how I do normaly but here am completly snowed under
    plz help thx

    Your best bet for getting a solution handed to you is to do a Google search for "AS3 scrolling menu tutorial"  Since code isn't an issue for you, you should be able to modify whatever you find to suit your detail needs once you understand how it is designed.

  • Using XML-based object structures to represent data in code/at run-time

    Hello,
    I have quite a "high level" question which has be bothering me for some time, and I haven't found the subject tackled in any books. I believe J2SE/J2EE is not an important divide here.
    Lets say I want to develop a J2SE game application with two programs: a "level designer", and a "level viewer", and I want to store the level files in an XML format.
    My question, and I use this example only to try and illustrate it, is:
    when coding the level designer or viewer, is it reasonable to use an XML-based object hierarchy for representing a level in code/at run-time, i.e. using the standard Java DOM APIs? Or should one (as I would have done before XML came along) develop a set of classes much closer to modelling the real form of a level, and then add a means to convert those objects to/from to XML format?
    This second option of course I would use/would have used if I wasn't thinking about XML, but isn't it sometimes easier to just read in an XML file into a DOM representation and just use the data straight out of that structure, rather than go through the bother of parsing the XML into a set of unrelated objects defined by a different family of classes? What shapes your decision here? And if the second option is best, what is the easiest way of converting to/from the XML?
    Thank you for any advice.
    Greg

    Hi Christian,
    Can I ask: what about if your domain was quite 'close' to an object/DOM representation of XML?
    For instance, what if a game operated by acting out a theatrical script, a spoken conversation, between two characters, perhaps somehow influenced at points by the user, and a particular level was just a different script for the characters.
    One could imagine that the object representation of this would in the end be quite similar to how you'd represent XML, i.e. like a tree of nodes, where each node was a line from the script, and some nodes were a decision point where different nodes could be chosen from.
    Would you still want to avoid using XML-based classes to represent the underlying 'game', or is there a point where you would 'give it' to the similarity and use existing XML structures directly?
    Thank you for any advice
    Greg

  • Catch all error information while validating xml content with xsd schema

    Hi experts,
    I created a java mapping to validating the input xml content with xsd schema (schema validation). What I want is to catch all error message to the xml not just the first error. I used SAXParser in sapxmltoolkit.jar to do the schema validation. The below is a part of my java mapping.
    XMLReader parser = XMLReaderFactory.createXMLReader("com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.SAXParser");
    parser.setFeature( "http://xml.org/sax/features/validation" ,  true);
    parser.setFeature( "http://apache.org/xml/features/validation/schema" , true);

    parser.setErrorHandler(new ParseErrorHandler()); // ParseErrorHandler is my own ErrorHandler which extends DefaultHandler

    See this demo:

  • Creating a XML file from XSD file

  • Using XSL on XML validated against XSD

    Transforming XSD validated XMLType Data
    Re: example XSL in Chapter 6 that transforms XML with associated XSD schema definition (Oracle 9i XML Database Developer's Guide)
    I noted that this XSL uses only the "general" node identification functions (e.g., name() ) to access nodes in the <xsl:value-of select..>. I have also noted that standard XSL templates from other sections of the documentation, for example in Chapter 3 and in Appendix D, do not work with an XML which is validated against an XSD schema.
    Can anyone give me an example <xsl:value-of select..> that addresses a specific node in the "purchase order" example, like the shipTo, name, street -- or any other specific node. This is critical since there is always bound to be node-specific processing in any transformation, and this is not demonstrated by any example of XML which has been validated against an XSD.
    I have tried this endlessly on my own examples of XML w/XSD validation. Even if the value-of select="name(.)" tells you that the name of the node is "FooBar", you cannot use FooBar as a select test to do FooBar specific processing.
    Help?????

    Not quite understand your question. Can you send me the example doc?

  • Convert the XML file into XSD format?

    Hello All,
    I got XML file and i need to convert into XSD format and import it into PI system, so no need to create the structure.
    Please let me know how to convert XML format into XSD format.
    Regards,

    Hi ,
    You can use Altova XML Spy software. There just open the xml file and goto Menu bar DTD/Schema there you have an option like Genrate DTD/Schema  click on it and press ok, Then it will ask you for location to store xsd select Desktop or some folder.
    .xsd will be created. and you can import that.
    Thanks.
