XML scripting problem

Hi can anyone help me with this? I got a problem here can
anyone help me to translate into actionscripting for me?
I want to open a file base on the values i assign if t = 1, i
wanna open 1.xml if i give t =2, i wanna open 2.xml and so on
untill value 10. How do I write into an actionscript? Thanks in

Hi, i managed to work out a solution with my web host.
The problem was that they are using Apache to process all incoming http requests then only forwarding specific requests to tomcat.
So by entering the port number after the domain ie www.mydomain.com:8080/ the http request went directly to tomcat and was processed correctly.
Furthermore my web host configured apache so all requests go straight to tomcat so now the port number isn't even required and all is well with the world again!
except... navigating to different pages in my site does not update the url correctly.
For example the site loads index.jsp when entering www.mydomain.com/ but when navigating to another page (i.e. photo.jsp) the photo.jsp page loads ok but the url is updated to www.mydomain.com/faces/index.jsp which is not correct. When refreshing the photo.jsp page it reloads the index.jsp page because of the incorrect url.
any ideas...

WIJ 20002 xml Parser Problem - Rich Client

If I connect with the rich client "import document"is disabled.
if I try to create a new document from the rich client it returns the error below (I used the rich client on two workstations):

XML - ExportDocument problem

I'm exporting a xml document that I'm creating dynamically in my application.
I'm having the following problems (working with 30M.2).
1)
It's not possible to edit a DTD (or creating one run time) so I have to write a
template doc XML to have it.
I'm afraid that this is a costraint on the DOM1 so ...
2)
Once I complete the construction of the doc, I need to write it down (let's say
on a file, but could be also in memory to send it on http).
When I write it (using exportdocument function) I just find the root element
with all it's children, no haeder (<?xml version="1.0" ?><!DOCUMENT ...>) so I
cannot have the dtd information on the stream, and cannot enforce validation of
the doc when someone read it afterwards.
I admit I'm new of the subject, but or I miss something or something is wrong:
having trouble to get a dtd and not being able to code it's information.
Anyone has some ideas?

I'm interested in DTDs. For example in the reported situation, why, if you
know you've created a valid XML document would you want to give a DTD to
someone at the other end? If someone has a DTD at the other end and want to
use it to validate your XML then fine but if you create the XML and are
controlling the format then wouldn't they just assume the XML correct if the
DTD wasn't being controlled by a 3rd party or themselves?
DTDs don't help you create a document but just validate it, I'd thought. If
there is more to DTDs I'd appreciate if someone felt like ellaborating.

Txt to xml. Problems with characters(&, , ',...)

I want to generate a xml file with text from a txt file but i have problems with special characters such as &, <... I'd like to know if there�s any class or library to filter the text in order to generate my xml without problems.

Use JDOM to generate your XML. It will worry about escaping issues for you.

Saved File Groups Issue in Bridge Center - script problem?

Hi all,
I tried posting this in the Bridge forum with no replies. After browsing through this forum I'm wondering if this is a script problem?
I have the CS2 premium, and use all packages. The problem I have is saving and retrieving files in the 'Saved File Groups' of Bridge Center. I can save Photoshop files no problem, but the idea is to be able to save other files from open applications in the group and then to recall them later. I can save Illustrator files with others in a group but only Photoshop files open, and it ignores the saved Illustrator files.
With my InDesign files, it does not even recognise them as files to be saved. I can have a file open, click on "Save open files into a file group" and it will come up with a little box saying there are no open files to save!
OS - XP sp2. Bridge 1.0.2
If this can be helped with scripting, please explain clearly, I am a graphic designer and no very little indeed about scripting.

I use e-trade and a couple of times, years back, I found them behind the Java updates.
So, now I install new Java platforms on my backup disk and test the streaming data on that first because I know it will be over-written that evening with my nightly backup.

for creating an mp3 player. I found some tutorials on how to do so
much but am nowlost on how to do the remaining buttons. So far I've
created a play/pause toggle button and a next button. What I'm
tring to do now is finish off the conrols by adding the back, stop,
play and loop buttons to my controller.
within the xml document, mp3player.as is all the script,
exlplaining how it loads the tracks etc,.
would anyone beable to help/show me the code for the xml
script as I'm not very good with xml?

XML script to copy data from one repository to another

Hi all,
a customer wants an xml script that copy all data from the repository A to the repository B. I think that this is not possible to do this with an xml script, because the script tags (add-item, update-item, query-item, import-item, load-item, remove-item) seems don't give this feature. The same for RQL, that doesn't give you a command like "SELECT INTO".
But what i'm asking is: Is there a way to run the copy using the repository script tags?

Please elaborate , If what you need is to copy data from between two dissimliar repositories then it is not possible , but if a and b are having the same structure then you might be able to do that using the following and tweaking the generated xml
Both the repositories should have the same structure and name , please follow the below commands and you will be able to export the data in below format , see if this is all you want
export using
bin/startSQLReository -m module -export all outputfile.xml -repository repositoryA
Change the reference to repositoryA in the file
import using

Catalog manger "search and replace " using xml script

we have renamed 6 rpd columns names in rpd & alias is not removed yet .In catalog manager i can search and replace using string .But it takes lot time as they are stored in different reports , which are existing . I am trying to use xml script for replacing them.I got sample script from help file for single column . can anyone help for doing that for multiple strings.I will provide with my inputs .

Given xml content looks okay but just in case check this oldValue="column 1 ", there is additional space at the end.
I would suggest to extract Analysis report (.csv) using Catalog Manager and find out the list of reports based on those columns.
This would help you learn with list of reports based on report owners, and then go for the fixing those reports.
If you go by xml replace you never know the affected reports and you may not confirm until report owners come back to you with issues.
This might take little bit time but your changes based on proper doc.

Firefox 31.0 - slowness and script problems for using websites

Since Firefox 31.0 is released, some technical problems of slowness and script problems to use
websites have been noticed from mine. Sometimes it needs up to some minutes to load a website
and sometimes there are error messages for an unanswered script.

It seems that there is a permanent unfixed problem always if a new
version of mozilla is released. After all fixed problems of the earlier
version of firefox, there is no problem at all.
But if I am already working with the non-problem earlier version of
firefox, then suddenly the problems of error messages, slowness and
script errors are appearing, and if I have looked for the actual version
of firefox, there was signed a new version and now I have known,
aha a new vesion of firefox was released and it needs up some time
for every new version until the error problems were fixed.
Maybe it is combined with the plugins like flashplayer or shockwave.
But a professional version of firefox should not sign up error messages,
because of plugins, while working with these plugins.
Another answer from another support.mozilla.member was for an
overload problem, because of opening some windows of firefox.
But to open many windows of firefox was already no problem with the
earlier version firefox 30.0 or earlier, until the error messages are fixed.
The same unfixed problems are since firefox 25.0 up to 30.0, but I was
wondering for how long version 30.0 was actual in practical working.
And since version of firefox 31.0 was released the same problems
of error messages, slowness and script errors were appearing.
At the moment it seems firefox 31.0 works alright.
But only the following time shows if it works without error messages,
slowness and sript problems or not.

ABC of UCCX XML scripting

I have been working in support for a while now so I've come accross a number of XML scripts. What I've found was that modifying   them was not extreemly hard because most of the work was already done, but trying to build it from scratch is very hard for me unless I just want to copy what some else has already done and just add a few modification to it and pretend its my work.
I would like a cituation where I'm given a scenario and I am able to single-handedly create a script to meet the task. Can anyone advise me on what to read, which forumes to visit etc please?
For instance, the command below is a mistry to me even though I can see what the intension is. I need to understand the reason behind every forward slash, backslash etc.

So I went back to one of the old scripts I've worked on the past and I thought I'd actually attempt to fully understand it. I saw an Xpath syntax in the uccx script that looked really odd to me.   just want to share it you guys maybe you will be able to shed some light on it.
