XML SDK for 08.1.7 Availability

Does anyone know the availability of Windows XML Developers Kits for Java & PL/SQL
For O8i ? On the 9i XML download page is says if you are looking or 8.1.7 versions to contact OTN Support, but the link seems to be broken. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,

  • SDK for Instant Client not available?

    Hello all,
I'm new to using Oracle and I successfully setup my first 11XE install last week. I'm excited to begin using it but I can't get the OCI driver to compile so I can use it in PHP.
I have the linux/amd64 Instant Client 10.1 from the Oracle website but it does not have the headers file.
The docs say I need SDK for Instant Client but it is not listed on the downloads page for Instant Client. The docs also say there is a 11.1 version of IC but no trace of that either.
Is there another page which has all of these files?
I get as far as this in the configure script: "checking for oci.h... configure: error: I'm too dumb to figure out where the include dir is in your instant client install"
    Thanks for your help!

You could search the 'net for instant client downloads x86-64, click relevant link, search page for SDK. Versions from 11.2, 11.1 and 10.2 releases should exist on found page.
Note that a dedicated forum exist, {forum:id=190}.

  • ANN: Oracle XML Parser for Java v2.0.2

The new version of the Oracle XML Parser for Java v2 is
available for download and has the following features and
    changes:
    1. Conformance to the XSLT/XPATH August WD.
Note that there are several changes between April99 XSLT draft
and the August99 XSLT/Xpath draft and these changes have been
implemented in the XSL Processor. The XSL Processor has been
modified to accept XPath syntax for expressions and patterns.
Stylesheets might have to be modified to be conformant to the
August XSLT/XPath draft before they can be used with this
    release.
Some of the changes between April draft and the August draft
    are:
    a. Expressions in the stylesheet must match the XPath
    production Expr.
    b. Some of the attribute names and element names in XSL
    namespace have changed.
    c. Some new functions have been added to XPath CORE function
    library.
Please refer to the August XSLT/XPath draft for more details.
This is the first production release for v2.

  • XML Applications for CCM 3.3.5

Is there any XML App's for CCM 3.3.5? I know the more current versions from 4.X.X are available but what about the older versions? If there are some where they are located?

    Bill,
There is a SDK for CCM 3.x. Here is the link. Login and then select CallManager - IP Phones SDK. You will then see links for the different versions. Additionally Berbee, Citrix, etc. should have applications for a 3.x environment, at least I know they did awhile back.

  • Using Office 365 SDK for Android and IOS

    Hi,
is it possible to to use the SDK's in offline mode?
I would like to add to my app a functionality of editing office files (such as word, power-point and excel),
and i want this functionality to work without internet connection. no problem that the first log-in  will be in online mode.
is it possible using the office365 SDK?
if not, what other solution does microsoft provide me?
    Thanks!
    yarin

You can easy modify the data in word or power-point files since they are now XML (plain text) files.
As for opening files? It not clear how you need/want to open such files, but there is a version of office for iOS and for Android that allows you to open such files. I would assume that any SDK for such platforms has some means to “launch” a given file that
will use a given application, but that’s a question beyond this newsgroup (try the iOS and Android forums).
So you can certainly write code to modify and manipulate office files (since they are plane txt XML now – the only excepton to this is ms-Access! – not available nor is data stored as XML).
And you can certainly install the free edition of office on iOS or Android.
I don’t know if the iOS or Android development tools allows one to launch any file on the device, but I would certainly think such a feature exists.
And it not clear why you are posting in "Access", which is a database product as part of the office suite.

I use Interop.Acrobat.dll as a .NET project reference to open and resave PDF documents. I'd like to do all things I mentioned above.
After years and years, I have concluded that if you do serious PDF development, you need a set of libraries. For instance, if you are doing typesetting type of work ("vertical center", "horizontal center", "margin", etc., etc) , there is an excellent library from a guy in Germany (land of Johannes Gutenberg and printing presses)...
... which turned out to be useless in my next project which dealt with AcroForms.
I know exactly what you mean by "the final truth", sometimes I wish Adobe had some sort of official validating tool (like XML does).
Per your comments, I would recommend you to consider this library. It is available in all languages and its output is the same quality as Adobe's or at least in the same league:

  • BCExeption: The IDOC metadata for null is not available in SID

    <h3>Hello Guys,</h3>
we need some information about the error message:
com.wm.pkg.sap.BCExeption: The IDOC metadata for null is not available in <SID>
We use a Business Connector 4.8 and the backend is an ECC 6.0, we have an inbound xml scenario with FTP.
We pick up the ORDRSP from the vendors ftp-server and we would like to drop it to our backend system.
We can read the xml file into a string, but not send to the backend system, we use following steps:
    - bytesToString
    - stringToDocument
    - documentToRecord
    - recordToIDOC
    - lockSession
    - createTID
    so far works perfekt
    - sendIDoc
    - releaseSession
On the step "sendIDoc" we see the described error message, but what is the message from the message?
    Any Ideas?
    Thank you and regards,
    Michael

    Hello Michal,
thank you for your quick answer!
In my opinion, i don't need any input for this service, because we pick up all data from the vendors ftp - server in a definied time interval.
All needed fields are available in the xml file. In the result tab is the IDocList filled correct, but no sending to the backend system because the error is displayed.
Is it a problem with my concept?

  • XML file for GigE Vision camera

    Hello,
I am working on a design of GigE Vision camera. It should be very simple linescan camera. I implemented the whole required GigE Vision register set, can communicate with the camera in MAX. The problem is that I need to creata this XML file for the camera. There is this XML file here:
    http://www.emva.org/cms/upload/Standards/GenICam_Downloads/SFNC_Reference_Version_2_0_0_Schema_1_1.x...
What should I do with it? My first version of the camera will have 2 funcions: turn it on and turn it off I am bit confused, because the xml file template has lots of functions, that I don't really need. Should I delete them? Or leave inside with default values? What does minimal configuration XML file need?

Thank you very much! Perhaps I was too concentrated on digging through various documents and missed the important info.
And one more question: how does NI software build the *.icd file? By reading XML file? Or by reading registers in my camera?
Both. The XML is processed by the GenApi software component which then translates it to register operations. The XML file thus controls what features are visible based both on the XML file as well as the camera registers (features in the XML may be conditionally available based on the <pIsImplemented< tag). Next, the IMAQdx ICD file contains the subset of features in the XML file that are available and are tagged as <Streamable>, meaning they can be saved to a settings file.

  • Display XML Idoc for people who do not understand XML

    Hi,
does anybody know an easy way to make an Idoc XML readable for people who do not have any knowledge about XML?
This request comes from our sales department. We store incoming ORDERS.ORDERS05 Idocs from customers in XML format on a file server before mapping and sending them into an R/3 system to create the sales orders. For some reason, the sales people in our company sometimes have to have a look at the original incoming file.
Our intension is to give them an easy tool to open the Idoc XML and get it displayed in a more or less clearly arranged way, maybe as HTML table or something similar. Unfortunately I am not too familiar with XSLT.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Philipp

    Hi Philipp,
you need to do some kind of transformation. XSLT would be my first idea, but if you are not familiar with it, it might be worth a try to have a look at graphical report generators. They will take the hassle of doing manual coding from you.
Or there are XSLT mapping tools available which allow you to transform from XML to HTML, doing basically the same thing.
I do not know if I am allowed to supply some product names here, but I guess a google query for "report generator" or "xslt mapping tool" will yield some results.
    Cheers!

  • Efficient searching in a large XML file for specific elements

    Hi
How can I search in a large XML file for a specific element efficiently (fast and memory savvy?) I have a large (approximately 32MB with about 140,000 main elements) XML file and I have to search through it for specific elements. What stable and production-ready open source tools are available for such tasks? I think PDOM is a solution but I can't find any well-known and stable implementations on the web.
    Thanks in advance,
    Behrang Saeedzadeh.

The problem with DOM parsers is that the whole document needs to be parsed!
So with large documents this uses up a lot of memory.
I suggest you look at sometthing like a pull parser (Piccolo or MPX1) which is a fast parser that is program driven and not event driven like SAX. This has the advantage of not needing to remember your state between events.
I have used Piccolo to extract events from large xml based log files.
    Carl.

  • DNG SDK build project cannot find the xml sdk

On win7/x64.  Installed dng sdk and all dependencies per the readme files.  xml sdk built OK with vc10 express, as 64 bit static and dll.
But the vc solution for dng_validate has incorrect names for the xml sdk build projects, so it cannot find those components.  Specifically it looks for "..\..\..\xmp_sdk\build\vc\XMPCore.vcxproj".  the actual paths in the xmp sdk are different and longer, like "..\..\..\xmp_sdk\build\vc10\dynamic\windows_x64".  Moreover there is no XMPCore.vcxproj there.
I suppose the real problem may be that the dng sdk project is trying to build it as .net managed code, while the xml sdk was built as open code.  So I guess what I am looking for is a way to build the dng sdk open.

I would confirm your post, but I have not found a solution. I wish someone at Adobe would look into this.

  • Testing XML Parser for C (v1.0.1 & v2)

    Hi,
I had tested the Oracle XML Parser for C (v1.0.1.0.0) and found out that it was bundled with the 8i database. Is this a requirement of the parser?
Now I want to test version 2 of the same parser. Can you tell me the main differences between the two versions? Also we are using Oracle 8.1.5i at our site, can we run the v2 parser with 8.1.5i?
My last question is when will the commercial product (both v1.0.1 and v2) be available?
    Thanks,
    Francis

    Hi,
Are you sure I can use the downloaded XML Parser for C v2 on Oracle 7.3 and Oracle 8? Because in the lib directory there are the following libraries:
    libcore8.a, libnls8.a, libxml8.a, libxmlc8.a
I think they are for Oracle 8i instead. I tried to compiled the Oracle XML Parser for C v1.0.0.0.1 before on Oracle 7.3 and it failed because of libraries problem. How can I get the libraries required for Oracle 7.3 and Oracle 8? Please verify.
    Many thanks!
