Xs engine throws "No successful authentication possible"

Hi,
I'm a new to HANA & SAP platform, I've launched my HANA instance in AWS and i'm trying to create xsjs application, I've built the application and it's deployed in HANA box. i've followed the procedure specified in below URL.

everything is fine till step 9, now i need to deploy the application and check the response. As stated in this step, i launched the URL(https://<database instance><account>.<host>/sap/hana/xs/admin/) and modified the configuration as specified below.
9. Enable SAML
Enable SAML if you are using a productive SAP HANA instance. Otherwise, you can omit this step.
Procedure
Start the SAP HANA XS Administration Tool: http://<database instance><account>.<host>/sap/hana/xs/admin/
On the XS Applications page, select your application in the tree on the left.
In the SECURITY panel, make sure that the Public (no authentication required) radio button is not selected. To make changes, choose Edit.
In the AUTHENTICATION panel, choose Edit, then select SAML in the dropdown box and SAPID in the SAML Identity Provider field.
Save your settings.
For some reason, i couldn't add SAPID in SAML identify provider(which is step 4) and i saved the configuration; but now after doing the above changes till step 3 in XS admin console, i'm receving "No successful authentication possible" when the page is refreshed.
i'm using http://<Elastic ip>:8000, when i run this page im getting "Xs engine running" default screen, but if i navigate to
http://<Elastic ip>:8000/sap/hana/xs/admin/ i'm receiving "No successful authentication possible" error.
Please guide me to get rid off this issue now.

The information is of course stored on the device, but currently thee is no way to get to it. It is unknown whether iOS stores the date info for each connection.
As to whether a program can be written, its likely it can, but unlikely it can be done by anyone other than Apple, as by design, 3rd party Apps are not allowed to core system functions like that so its unlikely any App could list your connection history.
As has been said to remove a single connection from the iPad you need to be in range of it, tap the circle on the right side of the router name, and then tap on Forget this network.

What does this statement mean: "There is a problem with your authentication, possibly due to inactivity. For your safety, you have been logged out and must sign in again to continue?"

I am able to make it to the site for about 2 seconds and then I am quickly logged off and the statement, "There is a problem with your authentication, possibly due to inactivity. For your safety, you have been logged out and must sign in again to continue."
I don't have a clue as to the problem but since this is impacting my participation in these classes and ultimately could have a negative impact on my grade, I am more than a little concerned!

Redirect to custom url after successful authentication by OAM

Hello,
I need to redirect the user to some custom url instead of original requested url after successful authentication in OAM 11.1.2 (11g release2).
The requirement in my case is depending upon the user type and the region(one of the user's ldap attributes) it belongs to, it should be redirected to one of the 2 available applications.
I have tried implementing the same using custom authentication plugin in which I have used RedirectionActionContext class.
I have also tried setting plugin response as REDIRECT and specifying the custom page url.
I have also tried changing the "resource_url" parameter in authentication context.
However, none of above approaches are working.
Can anybody help me?

Redirect after successful authentication

Hi Experts,
I am trying to redirect the users to a different portal component after they are successfully authenticated, as I need the details of the authenticated user, especially the R3Name that was mapped to. I have done the below modifications in umLogonPage.jsp of the logon application:
Deleted the form action:

How are these Portal components deployed in the portal, NWDI activites or EAR/SDAs?
IN either way you should be able to get a link to the landing page (might be index.html or jsp) e.g. http://<SAP>.<domain>:5xx000/<Application-Deployed-EAR>/root/landingIndex.html (in case of EAR SDA deployments) or http://<SAP>.<domain>:5xx000/<SID_TrackID_D><DC>/landingIndex.html
These URLs can be wrapped in a URL iVIew and then assigned to a Page with no padding and borders so as to appear as a like any other normal webpage.
If you don't change he page display settings you'll get the Framework headings, title and all SAP standard components and would look weird if the application is not a dynpro one.

User authentication error after a successful authentication

Hi,
I have configured OAM 10g (10.1.4.3).It uses AD as the Directory server and OHS 11g (11.1.1.6) as the web server.
Created a policy domain with the resouce URL /test.Created an authentication scheme which has the plugins: credential_mapping, validatepassword and a custom plugin which is a ".dll" file.
So when i browse the URL http://IP:7777/test (Resource URL in policy domain), it redirects me to "/public/login.html" page which is the login page and resides in the web server. The login page consists of 3 fields: username, password and security code. This performs a 2 factor authentication. The first factor "username + password" is validated against AD, the second factor (username + security code) is validated against RADIUS, the custom plugin takes care of this.
When the user is redirected to "/public/login.html", i can see the cookies "obFormLoginCookie" and "ObssoCookie" in the browser (mozilla). These 2 cookies are present even before the user authentication.
User authentication works fine and user is redirected to a page which says "Authentication successful". This page doesn't have a logout button, you just have to close the page and login again.
The next time when the user browses the URL "http://IP:7777/test (resource URL in Policy domain), it ideally has to redirect to "/public/login.html" where you have the form, but it throws an error saying "Not Found.The requested URL /test isn't found". But when i directly access the login page "/public/login.html", it would give you the login page and when i enter the credentials, this time it says "Not Found.The requested URL /access/dummy.cgi isn't found.
/access/dummy.cgi" is the action URL present in the login page, the same is present in the authentication schemes.
But when i clear the cookies, and login again, this time the authentication would be successful. So, i will always have to clear the cookies and login, which i think isn't feasible. Is the above mentioned error message expected? I just Couldn't understand the behaviour of these cookies in this context.
Any ideas/suggestions would be really helpful to me.

Resend Message that fails in adapter engine but shows success in sxmb_moni

Hello SDN!!
We are testing sending soap requests out via SSL. We are using a BEA as a pass through server for SSL encryption only.
The scenerio is to send a message from SAP to PI 7.1 to BEA (SSL enc) to Receiving System. We successfully connect to BEA (only used as a pass-through) but the connection to Receiving System does not work. This returns an error to our adapter engine.
My question is this, Since SXMB_MONI shows the message as successful, but the adapter engine is showing an error. What is the best way for
1. Monitor the errors, (I only see where you can monitor the type of adapter only)
2. Resend the message, since it shows valid in SXMB_MONI, it won't let me resend.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and awarded

1. Once the message is in successful status in moni, the best way to monitor becomes RWB -> Message Monitoring.
2. For adapter engine related errors, you may resend the data manually using the resend option in the Message Monitoring. Otherwise, for automatic retry of messages, you may change the default settings.

Spline Engine returns zero with all possible inputs

Hello,
The Spline Engine in my FPGA code for my controller appears to not be working under any inputs. I have set both reset position and spline data updated to TRUE and made the spline data output equivalent to the highest possible number. The documentation for the spline engine says that with reset position set to zero then the output is set to coefficient 0. This doesn't occur either. I think it is caused by the fact that output valid is always FALSE even though my inputs should provoke a response. Attached is the related segments of my front panel and block diagram.
Running on a cRIO 9022.
Any help would be appreciated,

If you look at the documentation for the spline engine, http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371093G-01/nismlvhlp/spline_engine/ , reset position TRUE is supposed to set setpoint to coefficient 0 which is not happening. When reset position is FALSE the output valid Boolean indicator is still FALSE and setpoint is still 0.

ISE Radius device administration authentication possible?

does anybody know if Radius device administration authentication and authorization is possible with the actual ISE release? I know that TACACS will be available in future release.

Is local EAP + Web Authentication possible in Auto Anchor Configuration

I have a wireless network setup in an auto-anchor configuration with the foreign and anchor controllers. Due to the foreign controller being owned and managed by another company, I have an interesting authentication scenerio I would like to acheive. We can't implement full EAP-TLS as we would have to allow authentications from the foreign controller which is owned and managed by another company.
Currently Web Authentication is working correctly for the Wireless Network. As another layer of security, I want to know if its possible for the wireless clients to trust a certificate installed on the foreign controller? If so, are you able to point me in the direction of a user guide to implement.
I found the following document which describes local EAP configuration . Would this work with Web Authentication?

so, kinda but no. EAP is a layer 2 authentication that uses encryption as well.
WebAuth is a layer3 authentication only.
Now the kinda....you can create guest/network users on the WLC local database, and if someone logins to the webauth portal with those credentials they will be able to get on.
I'm not really sure what you are looking to do based on your post.
Personally, if I had users that were going to roam to this controller, I'd work with that companies IT and get it linked to my AAA server and keep the EAP-TLS that I had working already going. Just because that WLC would be able to communicate to your AAA doesn't mean their users would be able to get on, as they wouldn't have the machine or client certificate nor the Root CA cert on their machines.

Success is possible

I have had success with a Windows XP hooked up to a Linksys WRT54G connecting to an AirPort Express and iBook. The AirPort Express is wired to another XP and an HP PSC 1350 all-in-one. The iBook has access to internet from either the WRT54G or the AX and gets use of the printer from the AX. I don't expect responses to this but I just wanted to let it be known that this kind of set up is extremely possible.

User Authentication possible???

Greetings all.
I'm working on a contract where the client is taking a first step at SOA, mainly for
automating now manual processes. Part of the requirement is to implement a user interface to
input/view data. The user interface is to be a web-app and any new business logic is to be
done using JEE/Java web services. CAC's (Common Access Cards) (PKI certificates) are to be
used for user authentication along with SSL.
The problem is that while the client has stated that the user
interface is to be made available as a thin-client (web browser), they have also stated that
the server is NOT to be certifcate enabled, only the application.
Is this even possible?
This client is extremely fustrating as they have tasked many of there own people with JEE
design and project management, yet not a single one of them has ever done any JEE
developement, and very little, if any, other programming, and are very lacking in the
area of project management and meeting organization.
If it is possible, I suspect it would either be a huge amount of work, or require purchasing
a third party product, which again, is something they have said they do not want to get
locked into.
Any thoughts.

To clarify, the question is, is it possible to do 2-way mutual client-cert authentication without having to configure it at the server?

I have seen a couple solutions to the problem that you are facing. I unfortunately have seen situations such as yours more than once.
In the passed I usually simply tell them that they are incorrect in their requirments the server will be certificate enabled as "they know" this is the normal scenario. This strategy is usually "employment limiting". But i like it.
If you are useing SSL then it is likely that personal information or personally identifiable information is being transfered. Many areas have laws about this with a little research you could make the case they must allow certificates on the server for legal compliance. (which may actually be true)
If the server is not to be certificate enabled then perhaps enable certificates on another server.
I have seen authentication done for applications deployed on glassfish in which the user had a user name, password and a dongle (which contained a client cert) that plugged into the USB port. In this case they where using OpenSSO. Plug-in and features and profiles in open sso handled all the login issues
You could try mutual-authentication at a reverse proxy server in front of the application. ie set-up apache with a mutual auth ssl virtual host which passes through to the application with mod_jk. just keep the application server well fire-walled.
Unfortunately most cases like this that I have been in are projects designed to fail. Which in my opinion is also a legal issue. Either way I would like to hear how things turn out.

Trusted Authentication possible with Wed Sevices SDK? BOE - 3.1

XI 3.1 Service Pack 2.
Configure Trusted Authentication on the CMC. Ensure TrustedPrincipal.conf file with the shared secret is in the <INSTALL>/BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0/win32_x86 folder.
If you look in dswsbobje/WEB-INF/classes/dsws.properties, you'll see a property trustedAuthentication.enabled set to false.
Set it to true, then restart the dswsbobje Java Web Application Server.
Then you only need to pass in domain (CMS name) and username to the Session Web Services for logon.
Note that if you do the above, it'll use Trusted Authentication for all requests coming into dswsbobje - i.e., no longer need to pass in passwords.
So you really need to put something in front of dswsbobje, to authenticate any requests going in.

After successful authentication, Redirection is not working properly.

I am protecting an application with OAM 11g say http://ohs-host:7777/test/. If I am accessing http://ohs-host:7777
/test/, I am getting OAM login page. I have enabled SSL for OAM and the login page which I am getting is a https
url (https://LB-IP/oam/server/obrareq.cgi?encquery....). After successfull authentication it is redirecting me to https://ohs-host/obrar.cgi?encreply.... and I will get a 404 error.
Here after successfull authentication it is redirecting to https url and port number also removed from the url. If I change the url manually by changing https to http and add port number 7777, it will navigate me to the requested page.
please help !
