  • XSLT transformation not working in 1.5 (but was in 1.4)

    Gentlemen,
    I have a problem with some code that worked fine under 1.4 (at least up to 1.4.2_06), but now no longer works under 1.5.0 (I know this isn't the most recent, but I have yet to update).
    I use the following XSL template in order to take a string containing a valid XML definition, strip out all whitespace (this is ok, I know I dont need it), and then indent it in a nice readable format.
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"  version="1.0" xmlns:xalan="http://xml.apache.org/xslt">
      <xsl:output method="xml" omit-xml-declaration="yes" indent="yes" xalan:indent-amount="2"/>
        <xsl:strip-space elements="*"/>
          <xsl:template match="@*|node()">
            <xsl:copy>
              <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
            </xsl:copy>
          </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>The code I use to perform the transformation is as follows :
    // read the XML string into a DOM document structure
    StringReader reader = new StringReader(xmlString);
    InputSource source = new InputSource(reader);
    DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
    Document doc = builder.parse(source);
    // Input file to be transformed is the DOM document we have just created
    Source input = new DOMSource(doc);
    TransformerFactory tFactory = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
    Transformer transformer = tFactory.newTransformer(new StreamSource(new StringReader(TEMPLATE_AS_DEFINED_ABOVE)));
    // create output writer and transform
    StringWriter writer = new StringWriter();
    transformer.transform(input, new StreamResult(writer));
    System.out.println(writer.toString());As already stated, this produced the goods, in 1.4.2_06, but in 1.5.0 it results in the following error :

    have you tried to remove the xalan specific entries
    in the XSL and use that code:
    transformer.setOutputProperty("{http://xml.apache.org/
    xslt}indent-amount", "2");?Thanks for the reply.
    Unfortunately, Ive already tried this, and it's not the problem.
    If I remove the whole <xsl:template match /> section from the template, then the compilation error does not occur. I guess this narrows it down somewhat, but I don't know why that section is now failing under 1.5. (Ive since also tried with 1.5.0_03 - same error).

  • Glassfish Web Service XSLT Transformation Not Working

    Hi,
    I've got a problem transforming an incoming soap request from a Microsoft Web Services Toolkit client. Basically, I've got a JAX-WS web service deployed to Glassfish v2 b33 which works fine when called by a Java client, but when called from the MS web services toolkit, some extra namespace elements are added to the SOAP request which the JAX-WS service doesn't seem to like. The incoming soap request looks like: <SOAP-ENV:Envelope
         xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
         xmlns:SOAPSDK1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
         xmlns:SOAPSDK2="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
         xmlns:SOAPSDK3="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
         <SOAP-ENV:Header/>
         <SOAP-ENV:Body>
               <SOAPSDK4:getConfig xmlns:SOAPSDK4="http://ws.firestorm.alternativenetworks.com/">
              <SOAPSDK4:arg0>Inbound</SOAPSDK4:arg0>
         </SOAPSDK4:getConfig>
         </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> The problem lies with <SOAPSDK4:arg0>Inbound</SOAPSDK4:arg0>, in that the inclusion of SOAPSDK4 for any arguments (i.e. arg0, arg1) results in the values for the arguments reaching the web service as null. I've tested sending the SOAP request with a tcpmon utility, and the same soap request (as above) without the SOAPSDK4 in the arg0 element (i.e. <arg0>Inbound</arg0>) works fine.
    So I tried using the Transformation feature of glassfish, transforming the incoming SOAP request using the following XSLT file which I have tested and am sure works (I'm no XSLT guru so this will definitely need some tidying up): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet  version="1.0"
         xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
         xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
         xmlns:SOAPSDK1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
         xmlns:SOAPSDK2="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
         xmlns:SOAPSDK3="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
         <xsl:output method="xml" indent="yes"/>
         <xsl:template match="*">
              <xsl:copy><xsl:copy-of select="@*"/><xsl:apply-templates/></xsl:copy>
         </xsl:template>
         <xsl:template match="/SOAP-ENV:Envelope/SOAP-ENV:Body/*">
              <xsl:copy>
                   <xsl:copy-of select="@*"/>
                   <xsl:for-each select="*">
                        <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><arg></xsl:text>
                        <xsl:value-of select="position() - 1"/>
                        <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">></xsl:text>
                        <xsl:value-of select="."/>
                        <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"></arg></xsl:text>
                        <xsl:value-of select="position() - 1"/>
                        <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">></xsl:text>
                   </xsl:for-each>
              </xsl:copy>
         </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>I load the .xsl file using the Transformation utility which seems to work fine, but when a request comes in from the MS client I get the following error: [#|2007-05-11T09:23:46.530+0100|INFO|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.system.tools.admin|_ThreadID=15;_ThreadName=Thread-15;com.sun.enterprise.admin.event.wsmgmt.TransformationRuleEvent -- server [1 Change(s), Id:1, ts:1178871826530];|ADM1041:Sent the event to instance:[com.sun.enterprise.admin.event.wsmgmt.TransformationRuleEvent -- server [1 Change(s), Id:1, ts:1178871826530]]|#]

    How are you passing the input to XSLT?
    If your input request is following:
    <cus:InputParameters xmlns:cus="http://www.tcs.com/Customer">
    <cus:customerID>2</cus:customerID>
    </cus:InputParameters>Then you should pass $body/cus:InputParameters as the Input document for bind input in Proxy Service.

  • XSLT mapping not working b'coz " " & " " replaced with and

    Hello Experts,
      I have a RFC to JMS scenario. One of the parameter of RFC is a string field. This field will contain the XML data in it.
    I need to create a complete XML payload using this data in a string field. For this I am using XSLT map :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.1" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" >
         <xsl:output method="xml" omit-xml-declaration="no"/>
         <xsl:template match="/">
              <xsl:for-each select="//Nem">
                   <xsl:copy-of select="."/>
              </xsl:for-each>
         </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    This XSLT mapping works fine when tested independently.
    But in actual scenario at runtime the "<" & ">" used to indicate a node are getting replaced with < and >. Then the XSLT mapping fails and produces no output.
    The output of XSL will be passed in to a java mapping which signs the payload digitally.
    What is the issue with these signs? How can I overcome this problem?
    Any inputs will be of great help.

    Hi Stefan,
      Yes - I want to get rid of & # 60. But these (& # 60 and & # 62) are not added by XSLT mapping. Rather they are in the input available to XSLT map.
    In sxmb_moni, i can see the inbound payload correctly :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <rfc:HDK083_REFUS_SENDDOCU xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">
      <P_SIGN_DOCUMENT />
      <P_XML_DOCUMENT><NemRefusionIndberetningSamling><NemRefusionIndberetningStruktur MessageID="1"><HeaderStruktur><SignOffIndikator>true</SignOffIndikator><TransaktionKode>Opret</TransaktionKode><IndberetningstypeKode>Anmeldelse</IndberetningstypeKode><FravaerTypeKode>Sygdom</FravaerTypeKode><FravaerendeStruktur><FravaerendeTypeKode>Loenmodtager</FravaerendeTypeKode><LoenUnderFravaerIndikator>false</LoenUnderFravaerIndikator></FravaerendeStruktur><IndberetningUUIDIdentifikator>bf9cc44e-af15-4e19-8457-5845d75385d2</IndberetningUUIDIdentifikator><ReferenceAttributTekst>ref. Nielsen-1503831372 (23. oktober 2009)</ReferenceAttributTekst>
    but when I try to download the payload or right click on payload to view source I get something like below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rfc:HDK083_REFUS_SENDDOCU xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions"><P_SIGN_DOCUMENT></P_SIGN_DOCUMENT><P_XML_DOCUMENT>& # 6 0;NemRefusionIndberetningSamling& # 62; & # 60;NemRefusionIndberetningStruktur MessageID="1"& #62;& #60;HeaderStruktur& #62;& #60;SignOffIndikator& #62;true& #60;/SignOffIndikator& #62;& #60;TransaktionKode& #62;Opret& #60;/TransaktionKode& #62;& #60;IndberetningstypeKode& #62;Anmeldelse& #60;/IndberetningstypeKode& #62;& #60;FravaerTypeKode& #62;Sygdom& #60;/FravaerTypeKode& #62;& #60;FravaerendeStruktur& #62;& #60;FravaerendeTypeKode& #62;Loenmodtager</FravaerendeTypeKode><LoenUnderFravaerIndikator& #62;false</LoenUnderFravaerIndikator></FravaerendeStruktur& #62;<IndberetningUUIDIdentifikator& #62;bf9cc44e-af15-4e19-8457-5845d75385d2& #60;/IndberetningUUIDIdentifikator& #62;& #60;ReferenceAttributTekst& #62;ref. Nielsen-1503831372 (23. oktober 2009)& #60;/ReferenceAttributTekst& #62;
    (extra spaces added to "& # 60" as browser was converting it to < ,>)
    If i take the source code for payload and test XSLT mapping, it fails. But if I manually replace all "& # 60" with < and "& # 6 2" with >, then the mapping works fine.
    So I think for XSLT map to work correctly, we need to replace all "& # 60 " . Please suggest.
    Kind Regards,
    Abhijeet.

  • Xslt conversion not working: nosuchmethoderror:org.apache.xml.dtm.ref.sax2d

    hi all, iam trying to convert xml file to html using xslt.
    for that iam using xalan implementation 2.6. this was working fine when i checked it from the application, no iam using servet which instantiates a object of the class and calls the method...and it not working now.
    it is giving this errror
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.xml.dtm.ref.sax2dtm.SAX2DTM.(Lorg/apache/xml/dtm/DTMManager;Ljavax/xml/transform/Source;ILorg/apache/xml/dtm/DTMWSFilter;Lorg/apache/xml/utils/XMLStringFactory;ZIZZ)V

         at org.apache.xalan.xsltc.trax.TransformerImpl.transform(TransformerImpl.java:317)
    ...can anyone tell me what the problem is? iam setting the system property at runtime like,
    java -Djavax.xml.transformer.TransformerFactory=org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl GetTestiam using the standard way of instantiating the trnaformer like
    TransformerFacotry fac= transformerFactory.newinstance() etc.etc.
    is it beaucse iam not specifiying the imlementation in the application???if so how can i do that.
    thankyou.

    found the answer !!!
    i was using a buggy implementation of xalan. on loading the good xalan.jar and xercesImpl.jar files it started working.
    found that there was a memory leak in 2 places. not sure what that meant but some how the virtual machine wasnt getting the right values for the transformer.
    cheers.

  • Oracle XSLT Transformation not preserving space in text element

    If we have a BPEL process which is calling a XSLT transformation contains the code similar as below:
    for Populating an element with white space only
    <tns:TargetField>
    <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"> </xsl:text> <!--Note the whitespace , also tried with disable-output-escaping =”no” -->
    </tns: TargetField>
    Our expected result / output would be:
    <tns:TargetField> </tns: TargetField> <!--Note the whitespace -->
    But, we get:
    <tns:TargetField/>
    Oracle XSLT is ignoring the white space even if we try with preserve space in XSD, or in XSLT this is not producing the expected output.
    This looks a BUG with Oracle XSLT Transformation .
    For a workaround solution we can use below XSLT snippet:
    *<tns:TargetField>*
    *<xsl:value-of select="string(' ')"/> <!--Note the whitespace -->*
    *</tns:TargetField>*
    This is returning Output:
    *<tns:TargetField> </tns:TargetField> <!--Note the whitespace -->*
    Any other work around do you find?
    Edited by: panks on Jul 29, 2011 12:37 PM

    The workaround only works with one white space, if one put more white spaces, it do not work.
    <tns:TargetField>
    <xsl:value-of select="string(' ')"/> <!--Note the whitespaces -->
    </tns:TargetField>
    This is returning Output:
    <tns:TargetField> </tns:TargetField> <!--Note the only one whitespace -->

    My problem is that this transformation does not work unless I completly strip out the namespace parts i.e. cbc:
    How can I get the parser to read the tags with namespace part. And if the parser can not handle namespace in XML how can I go about reding the data into sap ?

    I think you are trying convert the xml to an internal table because of // in apply-templates, then you need to change last XSLT program and include <item> tag inside the <xsl:template match="inv:Invoice">  template, see updated XSLT bellow.
    <xsl:transform xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"

    </xsl:transform>
    According to the XSLT program you need dclare an itab like this:
    DATA: BEGIN OF ls_reikningur,
          reikn_numer(10) TYPE c,
          END OF ls_reikningur.
    DATA: BEGIN OF ls_invoice,
          reikningur LIKE ls_reikningur,
          END OF ls_invoice.
    DATA: lt_invoice LIKE TABLE OF ls_invoice.
    And finally you need a call transformation in your abap code like this:
    DATA: root_error TYPE REF TO cx_root.
    DATA: lv_mess TYPE string.
    TRY.
        CALL TRANSFORMATION  zinvoice
           SOURCE XML lv_xml
           RESULT allir_reikningar = lt_invoice.
      CATCH cx_root INTO root_error.
        lv_mess = root_error->if_message~get_text( ).
        WRITE lv_mess.
    ENDTRY.

    Hello! Please, Please Help me! I installed Photoshop CC to edit my photo and when I use  free transformation it is not working. I need just to transform one litte area in the photo.
    I have windows 7 64 bits. Thank you!

    Chris, Thank you! I wanted to change the eye area, so when I selected the area and used free transformation tool, it did not work. Free transformation worked only for the whole image but not for the selcted area. I was using this video. May be I need some more plug ins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI8Ab213ejU

  • Subject: 0TCT_VC12 Transformation not working

    0TCT_VC12 by default does not have any transformation.  0CALDAY is populated but 0CALMONTH is
    All zeros. I set up a transformation (from 0TCT_VC12 to 0TCT_VC12), then mapped 0CALDAY->0CALMONTH. I do see transformation rule type as Time Characteristic.
    I activated the transformation.
    Yet when I Display Data for 0TCT_VC12, it 0CALMONTH it is still 00000 as though transformation never worked.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,
    So in this case either you need to add a routine in update rules to convert the calday to calmonth or you need to add field in Cube Fiscal Year variant and populate a constant value. Even to write a routine you will be in need of Fiscal year variant.
    This will convert from Calday to Calmonth.
    Hope this helps

    Akhan

    Step7: Drop an assign activity from component palette to the process between Receive and Replay activity
    Step 8: In the from section use the function oraext:query-database("select ename from emp",true(),true(),'jdbc/EBS_database').in the to section select the var1 variable.
    Step9: Drop another assign activity from component palette to the process before Replay activity and after the first assign activity

  • Command T (Transform) Not working

    I just installed Photoshop CS4 on my Mac.  My OS is 10.5.8.
    It appears the keyboard short cut command + T  for free transform is not working.    Other short cuts are working, like Command S, Command Z, the regular ones. But not sure what else may not be working if anything. Any suggestions? Ive already contacted my keyboard manufacture and they said its not an issue with the keyboard itself.

    Ive already contacted my keyboard manufacture and they said its not an issue with the keyboard itself.
    I'm shocked. Shocked I tell ya!
    Transform won't work on locked or background layers. You must also have a layer highlighted in blue (in the layers panel) for it to work. If not, you might try resetting the prefs (hold command-option-shift as you launch PS, and confirm at the prompt).

    Hi,
    I think your problem lies in the <title>. You are using non UTF-8 characters in the title (š), but you marked your XML as UTF-8. So change the title to have unicode charaters and it will work.

  • Sound Transform not working

    Hey guys,
    I'm getting this silly little problem. I'm making a sound play and I'm trying to change it's volume. I've done this many times before and got it to work, but in this script for some reason it's not working. The script looks like this :
    package {
        import flash.media.Sound;
        import flash.media.SoundChannel;
        import flash.media.SoundTransform;
        public class Main
            var createSound:Create;
            var createChannel:SoundChannel;
            var createTransform:SoundTransform;
            public function Main()
                createSound = new Create();
                createChannel = new SoundChannel();
                createTransform = new SoundTransform();
                createTransform.volume = 0.5;
                createChannel.soundTransform = createTransform;
                createChannel = createSound.play();
    For some reason, it plays the sound, but at full volume no matter what value I put in the createTransform.volume variable. I've gotten almost the same exact code working in other games I've made, I dunno why it isn't working in this one

    try:
    package {
        import flash.media.Sound;
        import flash.media.SoundChannel;
        import flash.media.SoundTransform;
        public class Main
            var createSound:Create;
            var createChannel:SoundChannel;
            var createTransform:SoundTransform;
            public function Main()
                createSound = new Create();
                createChannel = new SoundChannel();
                createTransform = new SoundTransform();
                createTransform.volume = 0.5;
    // in this order
                createChannel = createSound.play();
    createChannel.soundTransform = createTransform;

  • Xmlanonymizer bean and xslt - both not working for namespace change

    Hi All
    I have a source structure below
    <ns1:Product_MT xmlns:ns1="urn:alpha:websub" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <Header>
    </Header>
    <Item>
    </Item>
    </ns1:Product_MT>
    I am using a soap sender getting called from SOAP UI to consume a PI web service and  send the output message to receiver HTTP channel
    the receiver needs the namespace of the XML structure as below (ns1 changed to ns)
    <ns:Product_MT xmlns:ns="urn:alpha:websub" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <Header>
    </Header>
    <Item>
    </Item>
    </ns:Product_MT>
    I tried to put the xmlanonymizer bean in receiver HTTP but its not doing anything. I am stil getting the output with ns1 namespace
    Attached screenshot of receiver http adapter configuration in module
    also, I tried to use XSLT mapping as below but this is also not doing anything. Probably, the XSL has to be modified to use in my case . Please help. and let me know.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions">
      <xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <ns:Product_MT xmlns:ns="urn:alpha:websub">
      <xsl:copy-of select="." />
    </ns:Product_MT>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    thx
    mike

    I had to tweak the XSL little bit to make it work in PI. See updated version below -
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
       <xsl:output encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes" method="xml" version="1.0"/>
       <xsl:variable name="root">MT_Product</xsl:variable>
       <xsl:variable name="rootns">urn:mdt:udiwebsubmission</xsl:variable>
       <xsl:template match="*">
         <xsl:choose>
           <xsl:when test="local-name()=$root">
             <xsl:element name="ns:{local-name()}" namespace="{$rootns}">
               <xsl:apply-templates select="node()"/>
             </xsl:element>
           </xsl:when>
           <xsl:otherwise>
             <xsl:element name="{local-name()}">
               <xsl:apply-templates select="node()"/>
             </xsl:element>
           </xsl:otherwise>
         </xsl:choose>
       </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>

  • XSLT Code not working

    Hi All,
    I am doing on XSLT Mapping. It is having a lookup. Lookup is working fine and I am getting data back in one variable say 'Var1'.
    Now in my mapping all the field are mapped one to one from source to target except one field say "lookup' and I am mapping responce of RFC 'Var1' variable to this node.
    My XSLT code is as follows:
    <TargetNode>
    <Field1><xsl:value of select="/Isourcenode/Field1"/></Field1>
    <Field2><xsl:value of select="/Isourcenode/Field2"/></Field2>
    <Lookup><xsl:value of select="$Var1"/></Lookup>
    <Field3><xsl:value of select="/Isourcenode/Field3"/></Field3>
    <Field4><xsl:value of select="/Isourcenode/Field4"/>/<Field4>
    </TargetNode>
    Now here I get value of Variable Var1 in Lookup field whereas all the fields after that node like Field3,Field4 are not getting mapped value.
    Do I need to do anything special to access the nodes values in xpath once i access variables using $    ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Atul

    Hi,
    You can use CALL TRANSFORMATION <NAME> to meet your requirement
