Yahoo mail account drops out randomly. I have 2 yahoo mail accounts on my Mac. The primary account works fine but the second account loses connection.
II have 2 yahoo mail accounts on my Mac. The primary account works fine but the second account loses connection. When I put in the password I get a message that it is not the correct password. The only way round it appears to be to go into Yahoo on Safari, log out then log bck in again. If I then go back into Mail and right click on the account I cn then get mail for this account without having to enter a password. The problem only started when I installed Lion, but is still the same in Mountain Lion.

I have a pc running windows 7. I got an Airport Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi and the printer is now plugged into the Airport. The Airport works fine but the printer shows as offline in control panel and in word. The printer is a HP LaserJet CP1525nw.

This would be the correct setting if the AirPort Extreme is connected to a simple modem (one ethernet port).

5 GHz name indicates that you have elected to use the option to assign a separate name to the 5 GHz network. This will allow you to "tell" compatible computers to connect to that network, rather than the slower 2.4 GHz network
Use Wide Channels is recommended for 5 GHz operation.
Interference Robustness often does more harm than good and should not be used unless you know you are in a area with a lot of wireless networks and you feel that your network is experiencing interference issues from a nearby network. -

Check in "System Preferences">"Energy Saver" to see if you have the "Computer Sleep" bar set too low.

The first time I opened Firefox after the 'upgrade' to 34.0.5, it restored all of my windows and tabs from the previous session, as it should. But the Window drop-down showed only "Minimize" and "Zoom", and didn't list any windows, not even the one I was in (I'll call it the 'primary', since it's the one that was listed first). If all of the windows were minimized, I would have nothing, but once I made a new window, all of the windows would show up in the Window drop-down. After some trial-and-error, it appears to happen *only* when the active window is the 'primary', it works fine when any other window is active.
How can this be fixed?As I stated I already did this and it was not helpful. The drive is not near capacity, but I could not give you an exact answer on how full it is. I know my data is still there as I can see items but just cannot access any windows or menu items as no text is displayed.

I updated the epson printer drivers like it asked, only to find out that my epson 1400 is not compatible on 10.8, the original driver worked fine, but now it prints terrible, how do I re-install back to original?
Do you have a TM backup or a clone? If so, erase the drive and restore with TM or clone back.
If not you'll have to reformat and re-install the OS that shipped with your Mac. If it shipped with Lion or ML you can do the restore from your Recovery Volume

Back in Dec I updated to the new version of Itunes. Since then, I can no longer sync my IPHONE. I have an IPOD that works fine, but the phone is not found on Itunes. I am abled to download pictures to my computer, but I can not sync my music. What can I do?

I have created an I-tunes playlist consisting of audio recordings (AAC) recorded in Quick Time 7 Pro.. The play list works fine in the computer and in the I-pod. However; I am unable to burn the playlist to a Cd disc. What am I missing ?

1A. the combined playlist byte is 28.3 Megabytes
2. Moved to I-tune.
3. Created playlist in I-tunes.
4.I go to file dropdown and request "burn playlist to disc"
5. Burn Settings dialog box appears. I click burn.
6."Insert blank disc", appears in top wlindow.
7. insert blank disc; the 'Insert blank disc order" disappears but nothing happens after that.
There is no indication or even a hint of anything happening.

CarleenCan you describe what you mean by "experiencing slow response"? Do you mean that you don't see the new responses as they come in? Does it takes up to two hours before they show up in the View Responses table when they show up immediately at your other location? And what do you mean but "the form not displaying"? Are you talking about the fillable form or the editable form in FormsCentral?

Gmail question. I'm getting an error message that states my username or password are incorrect. I haven't changed anything and the gmail is working fine on the mac book. The mail function worked yesterday on the iphone but not today - any solutions??
Try Restarting / rebooting your Mac before doing anything more drastic..

I have a Note 3 and a Vodafone SIM that are not playing well together.
The history is:
I got my Note 3 over 2 years ago. We visited Italy 2 years ago and I bought a Vodafone sim at a Vodafone outlet. Everything worked perfectly during that trip and a subsequent trip to France.
Last October, I had to replace the Note 3 because the camera was failing. I had insurance, so the insurance company sent me a refurbished Note 3. When I tried to use the SIM last December, the Note 3 had problems. When I put the SIM in and started the Note 3, the phone recognized the sim (but gave me an error that, according to Verizon, is spurious). I could make phone calls but I could not access the data network. In order to access the data network, you have to go into Settings. More Settings, Mobile Networks and set the Access Point Name.
With the replacement Note 3, I cannot access Settings. As soon as I try to access Settings (with the Vodafone SIM installed), the Settings menu appears and then immediately the home screen comes up. After working with Verizon for over an hour, I was able to get into Settings and set the access point name by booting into Safe mode. But as soon as I rebooted into 'normal' mode, Settings failed and I could not access its menu (to turn on wifi, for example). There are a couple of other apps that did the same thing - but I cannot remember which ones.
I have talked to Vodafone - they have no clue. I talked to a Samsung rep I ran into at Best Buy, he thought the Vodafone SIM might be corrupted. And now a Verizon tech I talked to last week thinks it is a firmware problem on the phone and I should do a Factory Data Reset.
Have you ever heard of this problem? What do you think might be causing it?

Sounds like there might be an issue with an application that might be causing these issues. The reason I say that is, when the phone is in Safe Mode you are able to access the Settings screens with no issues. While in Safe Mode that does block all 3rd party applications from running on the phone. I would suggest on trying to back up the device and perform a factory reset: http://spr.ly/6-182Vuo (you would want to make sure to uncheck Automatic Restore in step 3). Once the reset is complete try to see if you can get into Settings. Then, I would recommend on adding 3rd party applications back on to the device one by one to see if we can find what app might be causing this issue. I have a Mac OS 10.6.7 that will not activate the scanner portion of an HP C7280 All in One - prints fine - but won't activate scanner.
I have the same problem with an HP Scanjet 8250 and my Epson Stylus NX400. I have reloaded allegedly updated drivers. I have researched using SANE. Neither scanner wants to work since the OS X10.6 update. I have found very little out there about this problem.
Can anyone help me make these bricks work? Really would like a solution that won't cost me hundreds to replace the equipment. Thanks so much. -
It is recognized via Itunes as IPOD and i am able to connect it through USB cable to the pc and manage its physical memory via My Computer. But the problem is I cannot use anything on it as an IPOD (Like Music video and note stuff inside it).It boots as saying its got low battery power and after a while "Do not disconnect" logo appears after it is charged, i am able to operate it as normal ipod but when i click something it gets hanged like a PC and it stays there until the battery is too low . No matter what button i press (Menu or play buttons) continuously or the combination to restart or reset its in the same static state,,no reaction...even when i connect it to the pc via USB or charger nothing happens ..it stays in the same screen whereever i navigated last. After all its power is used up the same process continues that i can use it as an external hard disk namely its 20 GB memory...
Is there any way I can solve this problem via Itunes restore or any other used method to restore it to factory settings ?? ...I haven't used any method to restore it until now as i have migrated to IPAD,,,since then i've been using this as an external hard disk....may be if its restored to old condition i can carry this where ever i want unlike the massive IPAD...its like carrying a solar panel unlike an handy IPODHi mafiose15,

Restoring your iPod to factory settings is the best way to try and get it back to working order. You can use the instructions below to restore it:
How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.

Uniblue have advised checking proxy settings and firewall (plus uninstalling, reinstalling)but nothing gets it to work. Any ideas how to progress?
I'm running Microsoft Vista 32 on an Aspire laptop 5610Z.
I have the same proxy settings in Firefox (which I normally choose to use) and in Internet Explorer (which I find some software chooses to use behind my back!).
The firewall I've checked up on is that in Control Pannel (Panneau de configuration since I'm using a French machine). Should I be checking on firewalls elsewhere?
DriverScanner should be checking drivers against a list in Uniblue (I go to uniblue.com) then downloading the updates I need.
I used to know what my computer contained and how it worked, back in the 80s, but I have to admit I am now lost!Someone recently noted a problem staying logged on the Huffington Post since it became connected with AOL. The workaround for that is to change your connection setting here:

Click the "Settings" button and choose either "No Proxy" or "Use System Settings" option, and OK the change.
Not sure whether Washington Post could be affected by that same setting.
In reviewing your extensions, I'm puzzled that you have both DoNotTrackMe and SavvyConnect. The first one seems to aggressively block certain communications with websites (potentially affecting functionality) while the second one seems to report on your browsing habits (they better pay well is all I can say). Have you tried disabling both of those to see whether that has any effect?
